A small, good, nice, and inexpensive place. From Monday to Friday, they have a 2-for-1 deal on all snacks, starting at 7 pm. We went for soup and asked about the promotion, specifically if it was valid for takeout, and it was; we ordered two orders of tlacoyos (2-for-1) uncooked so they wouldn't look bad for breakfast. 10/10 The tortilla soup and the consommé were also very good. The two soups and the tlacoyos (8 tlacoyos) cost 160 pesos. And they give you a small glass of water, free of charge, of course. I found it a bit aggressive to see several signs indicating that outside food wasn't allowed, with the message "you'll be charged the equivalent if you bring it in" :$ That gave me the impression that they might be unfriendly and would try to force me to use the promotion there, which wouldn't be a bad thing, but they already seemed overly serious while serving customers. In the end, they were very accommodating, and everything was pleasant and clean, so I recommend it. Clean bathroom 🫰🏼
It's a small, simple place that already needs some maintenance. However, we were well served and the food was delicious. We tried enchiladas and egg with machaca from a package. The fruit they serve is very sweet and fresh, and the juice is natural and undiluted. I also ordered some pancakes because I had a sensitive stomach from the previous day's meal, and they weren't heavy at all. It's not a place to spend hours chatting and ordering different items from the menu. But if you're looking for a delicious, traditional, and affordable meal before continuing your tour of the area, I highly recommend it. There's no wheelchair ramp, but I think you can easily get over the small step at the entrance. There's no parking.
Ari was very nice, helpful, and informative.
One of the few restaurants in centro that open early for breakfast. The chilaquiles as well as the onelette were good. The breakfast package for 75mxn includes coffee, juice and fruit along with the chosen main dish. The booths partitioned by glass and wood provide for natural distancing during the pandemic. Service was alright. Portion sizes adequate. The waiting staff do not appear to use any trays! Walking back and forth too many times, to bring just 2 items at each time- coffee or juice or fruit or cutlery. They could save a lot of time and energy if only they could use trays to carry several small items together!
Good food, great atmosphere.
Great authentic Mexican food. Decore was nice. Staff was very friendly and service was quick.
The location is great but food and service are not the best, lights went out many times and waitresses are not well trained and don't suggest dishes or provide recommendations. It's ok once but not twice
Algo malencarados y no querían hacer cuentas separadas.
CERO RECOMENDABLE
The most awful place with the most terrible service in Zacatlán. It took over an hour for the food to arrive, and even then, the portions were incomplete. The service was terrible, and the staff's attitude was awful. The only redeeming quality was the food itself, which was a real plus. Several customers had to leave because the staff didn't even bother to come and say they were going to be late. People were already stressed waiting for their orders. You order something, and the waitresses just give you the cold shoulder. Don't waste your time and money.
We waited half an hour for a table, and they gave it to someone else. After we finally got a table, it took an hour for the food to arrive. The food was cold. I ordered spaghetti Bolognese, which was pure grease and gave me a stomach bug. My relative ordered a poblano burrito, and it arrived with undercooked spaghetti inside instead of rice. They were also the thinnest hamburgers I've ever seen—awful. Overall, it's a terrible place to eat. Don't come if you don't want to be furious.
In an hour, they couldn't bring our entire order. After 40 minutes, they finally brought me a pie (which they already had made) that was cold inside and out. Then, after another 15 minutes, they finally brought some cochinita pibil tortas, without providing any table service (no salsas, vegetables, not even napkins!), plus a lemonade that tasted like onion and actually had a piece of onion in it (which tells me without a doubt that they didn't even wash the knife they used to cut the lemons). We canceled both coffees because after an hour there was no sign of them. All this with only two tables of customers. The food wasn't good either; I had to get some salsa I bought outside to try and add a little flavor. If you have the chance to eat here, don't take it.
Honestly, if you're hungry or in a hurry, don't come to this place. It takes over an hour for your food to arrive (and there were only two tables). The food is pretty average, not the best, but given the time, you expect something amazing. But honestly, you're better off finding a place where you don't have to wait long and the food is good for the price.
This isn't my first time at this restaurant, but this time I had a terrible experience in every way. It took over 50 minutes to get some burritos 🌯. I waited because I enjoyed eating there, and around 5 pm I ate them and didn't eat anything else. That night and into the early morning, I had heartburn and then diarrhea. Two of my family members also had stomach problems. This is the first time this has happened to me. I'm sharing my experience, hoping it doesn't happen to anyone else.
I don't recommend eating here. It took 40 minutes for our food to be served (there were only two of us), and there were only two tables occupied in the entire restaurant. The portions are small and the waters aren't made with natural fruit, so I felt the menu wasn't worth the price. I was very disappointed, as I chose this place based on the reviews here, but the experience wasn't what it was painted as. :) ✨ I recommend eating at the market instead, as there's more variety, good prices, and if you like seafood, you'll find some pretty tasty food there. ✨
Horrible
Horrible, bad food, badly cooked. To be Zacatlan a "magic town" (Pueblo Magico), the food here lacks all. no flavor, the dishes were all different, dirty place. Few years ago was OK, now it is absolutely a no no.
