Last night we stumbled across this place and went in; it was super quiet, almost empty. I ordered a soursop lemonade 👏👏 which was fantastic, with a tangy lemon 🍋 and plenty of soursop. For an appetizer, I had roasted cabbage with pistachios, which was a 10 out of 10 and highly recommended. We also ordered a pizza 🍕 which, while delicious, I think was overcooked and the toppings got a bit dry. It wasn't bad, but I think it could have been much better. Finally, we finished with a cappuccino, which is a classic choice.

When I first arrived, we were the only diners there. Later, only one other person arrived. I don't know if it's always this crowded. I really don't understand why; the service is truly top-notch and the food is delicious. The parking lot is small. The bathrooms were very clean and pretty. The aesthetics of the place are truly inviting.

I returned to this restaurant, and the experience not only lived up to expectations but exceeded them. This time, I opted for a flame-grilled ribeye (listed on the menu as "ojo de bife," an "Argentinianization" of the menu that I find unnecessary). The tequila flame, prepared tableside, added a visual and aromatic touch that elevated the experience beyond just taste. The steak arrived at my table juicy, perfectly cooked, and coated in a thick Parmesan and tequila glaze that provided depth and creaminess. There was a minor issue with the side dish, but the staff resolved it quickly and very kindly, demonstrating a genuine commitment to the diner's experience. That kind of attention makes all the difference. The wine and beer list is extensive, with options for selecting a good pairing. Even so, I stuck to the basics with a nice cold Corona, which complemented the steak perfectly without overpowering it. The evening held an unexpected charm: a light drizzle dampened the terrace, but the covered patio offered us a cozy refuge. The rustic decor with modern touches, along with music that seemed carefully curated, completed a warm and relaxed atmosphere. The ambiance is so pleasant that it's incredibly versatile: perfect for a romantic date, a get-together with friends, a business dinner, and, with pizzas on the menu, the whole family, including the little ones. Without exaggeration, "Donde Hubo Fuego" is one of the best steakhouses in Guadalajara, offering quality without the exorbitant price. The terrace damp from the light rain, "Hotel California" playing in the background, the woman preparing the instruments to start playing, the lively murmur of conversation… returning was the perfect decision.
