Restaurante especializado en comida mexicana. La decoración es tradicional, tal vez un poco elegante. El ambiente es perfecto para platicar, ya que la música esta en volumen adecuado. Y el servicio es excelente. De entrada como cortesía nos dieron bollitos y crujientes palitos de pan. De comida probé “Las pacholas del Doro” y los camarones a la “Chava”. Ambos platillos eran de muy buena calidad y presentación. Definitivamente un lugar para regresar y disfrutar con familia o amigos.

Uno de los mejores chiles en nogada, la salsa nogada es deliciosa y tiene mucha nuez como Me gusta !! La carne del relleno es suavecita y llena de sabor, es una mezcla de sabores exquisitos!! Aparte de que el lugar es hermoso y se presta a pasar un buen momento con amigos o tu pareja ya que también está muy romántico.

Como entrada probé el ceviche de mango, que me pareció delicioso, con una acidez muy equilibrada que abre perfectamente el apetito. Las Quesadillas “Las Cibeles” tienen un toque ligeramente dulce para mi gusto, pero aun así son muy buenas y bien preparadas. De plato fuerte elegí el famosísimo chile en nogada, ¡y sin duda fue lo mejor de la comida! Muy recomendable: el relleno es fino, con gran sabor y una excelente presentación. Para cerrar, el postre molotito fue una grata sorpresa: una crepa rellena de nieve de elote con salsa de zarzamoras, simplemente deliciosa. En cuanto a las bebidas, recomiendo ampliamente las limonadas con agua mineral y la de maracuyá, perfectas para quienes no consumen alcohol y buscan algo refrescante. La atención increíble 10/10 Ambiente: tranquilo y cómodo.

Un lugar pintoresco, lleno de arte y tradición. Sus platillos son muy representativos de la cocina mexicana, y no pude resistirme a probar un poco de lo que pidieron mis acompañantes. Yo ordené un ribeye que no dejó nada que desear: estaba exquisito. Lo acompañé con una refrescante bebida de frutos rojos y cerré con un cheesecake delicioso; por supuesto, no podía faltar el carajillo, aunque debo decir que está un poco fuerte. Mención especial para Paco, nuestro mesero, un señor encantador, de excelente trato, siempre amable y con muy buen sentido del humor. Sin duda, una experiencia muy agradable.

Uno de los lugares más cálidos que he visitado: el servicio y atención al detalle es impecable; los meseros se toman el tiempo para las recomendaciones, explicación de los platillos y cualquier necesidad o petición durante la estancia. Con respecto a los platillos, pese a estar descritos como tradicionales con una ligera variación, no son aptos para puristas ya que interviene una mezcla de sabores que cambian el concepto típico: quesadillas de queso fresco pero con sabores de rosa y fresas, por ejemplo. Lo veo como ideal para algo íntimo o formal, cena en pareja sería perfecto; si alguien desea realizar una declaración o pedida de mano sugiero fuertemente solicitar un espacio menos transitado. No se arrepentirán y será una excelente anécdota para compartir.

Vine por su especialidad; los chiles en nogada y definitivamente lo recomiendo. El lugar es muy bonito, con una decoración agradable, el servicio es realmente bueno y los meseros muy atentos. Destacable y agradable la música de piano durante las comidas.

I found El Sacromonte on a best of list for Guadalajara, and let me tell you it did not disappoint! The food was excellent and the service was impeccable. The atmosphere is what I think of as a traditional Spanish inspired Mexican restaurant. The ambience was magical to say the least. There is no reason at all you should move past this on your decision of where to dine if you are reading this. You have to try the Quesadilla, don’t worry it’s not what you would expect of a boring standard quesadilla. Instead, it was empanada style with strawberry aoli infused with rose. 5/5. Followed that with the Goya Mosaic. A woven smoked salmon with panela cheese. Gave lox and bagels vibes. Very good. 4/5 I had the duck entree, and it was the best duck dish I have ever had. The sauce was sweet yet savory. Paired with the duck meat and the beautifully fatty skin the was delightful and took the flavors to another level. 5/5. Finally, we finished with the Pollo Mole. This was fantastic and exactly what you think of when having a mole. 5/5. The 4.6 rating is to low for this restaurant , seriously. Don’t miss out on an amazing experience. I feel horrible that I can’t remember my waiter’s name but he was excellent! I don’t speak that much Spanish, however he made me feel like I was doing a great job and made the overall experience something I will never forget about my trip to Guadalajara.

This place doesn't get the recognition it deserves. The food is among the best if not the best food I've had in this region of Mexico. I had the Duck. It was fall off the bone tender and delicious. My husband had the steak and it's was one of the best, cooked to the perfect medium rare temperature (hard to find that in this region). We had the Goya's Mosaic for the appetizer it was so good. They combination of the salmon, cheese cucumber and the other sides just splendid. 100/10 highly recommend. I'll be going back again.

This is a beautiful restaurant, decorated with torero theme. The dishes are really interesting. There's a variety of gourmet Mexican food. Everything looks delicious. I tried the quesadillas with rose petals. DELICIOUS!!! And the molote de verduras, which is like crepe with veggies inside. ALSO DELICIOUS!!! There are no vegan options, though, except for the salads, maybe. Anyway, I loved the restaurant! The waiter was super polite and knowledgeable, and he explained and recommended dishes. The service was excellent! Food came in fast, and the presentation was amazing! DE ALTA COCINA!

Sacromonte is 25 years old. The decor has changed from Mexican minimalist to baroque with touches Mexican and arab; the veranda is now a interior garden. But the important part is: the food is delicious just as the first day. When the restaurant opened it was too expensive for me, so my dear friend Paco and me used to go to share a Sopa Viejo Progreso (roquefort and chipotle in a surprising, sinful affaire) and a Ensalada de las Colonias (goat cheese - difficult to get in the city at that time- over croutons in letucce crowned with fried onion). My incoming has improve, I actually could afford a whole meal, but those dishes remains among my favorites. If you are in a group - as I was yesterday- order the Quesadillas with rose petals with strawberry sauce to share; try a bite of the sour xoconostle with them, a welcome contraste. Then it could be my beloved Old Progress cream, or the Lentil soup with plantain. The main dishes are delicious all around, the Chile in nogada a bit sweeter but delicious nevertheless. In summer I use to ask for the Ceviche with mango as main dish, it is a big portion. In the desserts the Mexican choice is the Pan de elote, a sort of corn bread made with fresh corn instead of meal. Also good is the Morralito (a crepe filled with fresh corn ice cream) and the crema catalana (creme brulee). Alas the chocolate cake is not as good as used to be, it was not warm but tepid. And dissapears from the menú the fried profilerol filled with ice cream. Sad but there is great food to visit, again and again, Sacromonte.

I went here for my birthday and had the chile en nogada. I told the waiter about my birthday and he brought me this with one of those trick candles that won't burn out. He took some good pictures too. He asked where my friends are. I said I have some here, but they're busy, and we can celebrate this weekend. He said the dessert is a hug from him. Very nice old man. The dessert wasn't particularly special, but the sentiment is, and the nogada is an unusual experience. Very rich, so be prepared to take some home. It's extremely sweet.

Lovely and romantic little place. The atmosphere is fantastic with the decor, outdoor courtyard, and little old man playing the piano. I had the flank steak which was good but didn’t blow me away. La verdad es que es un lugar muy bueno y con comida muy rica, gente muy amigable y un ambiente muy tranquilo. A mi esposa le gustó mucho el chile en nogada, aunque a mí no me gustaron ni el pato (bañado en salsa de ¿ciruela?) ni el crème bruleé (caramelo amargo).

La comida es muy buena. El chile en nogada, así como el pollo en mole dulce son garantía. El espacio no es muy amplio por lo que todos los fines de semana hay personas esperando la asignación de mesas. En promedio esperarás de 30 - 45 minutos, lleva bastante paciencia o SUPER TIP: pide que te lleven los platillos al restaurante hermano La Vaca que se encuentra a un lado, así no esperarás. Puse 4 estrellas ante la falta de algún menú y opciones para niños, así como la mala logística de recepción, valet parking y lo molesto que pueden resultar las constantes interrupciones de los vendedores ambulantes a la mesa.

La comida es buena, la atención también, al clericot le faltó un poco de sabor, la carne te la dejan al término que la pides y sus salsas y mole están ricos, de postre probamos el pastelito de chocolate y el tiramisú me encantó! Por la tarde hay piano en vivo, es un buen lugar para venir en familia o pareja, tienen valet parking por si no quieren buscar donde estacionarse

Al principio sentí muy apresurada la atención, pedí un chile relleno y estaba muy bueno; el pan delicioso. Luego pedí la sopa fría que dice tener tropiezos de sandía y menta, pues ni sandía ni menta, le pusieron una triste rebanada de jitomate y cubitos de manzana verde. Hice el comentario y me respondieron "casi no le ponen", en todo caso el menú debería decir con tropiezos de fruta y ya ahí no habría inconveniente.

Tenia muchos años sin venir. El lugar y el menú siguen igual. Buen servicio, comida mexicana tradicional. Podrían mejorar bastante la selección de vinos y las bebidas preparadas. El chile en nogada bien presentado, buena porción pero el relleno no debería llevar zanahoria y le ponen mucha, casi igual que carne.

Llegamos por recomendación a probar el chile en Nogada y puedo recomendarlo también ampliamente. Está muy delicioso; así como el mole poblano que también probamos, un tanto picoso pero en el punto. En cuanto la servicio tuvimos suerte de encontrar disponibilidad sin espera e incluso nos llegaron rápido los platillos a pesar de que tuvieron inconvenientes en cocina que los retrasó, según nos comentaron. Los platillos están muy bien servidos y por más que quieras el postre, terminas sintiéndote muy lleno. Si regresaría a probar más cosas del menú. ☺️

Me tocó probar varios platos algunos se me hicieron normales otros están excelentes ahí les va en orden. Voy a comenzar con el chile en nogada que definitivamente fue lo mejor de la mesa no tengo nada que criticarle excelente y de muy buen tamaño los sabores súper bien equilibrados. Una crema no recuerdo si era queso roquefort con chipotle, muy rica. Las quesadillas en salsa de rosas me quedaron a deber porque el sabor de Las Rosas se pierde con las fresas y la masa de la quesadilla estaba un poco gruesa y quedó dura, pero definitivamente un sabor diferente y agradable. Las costillas barbecue normal el salmón normal chile ancho relleno de pasta de camarones me pareció bueno. En cuanto al lugar sí se siente como muy retacado y los meseros apenas pasan entre las mesas hay mucha gente y no se dan abasto entonces sí está un poquito tardado el servicio. Lo mismo pasa con el ballet parking se tardaron un poco en recibirnos el carro. También tomar en cuenta que fue sábado y son los días que están más llenos todos los lugares.

The restaurant ambiance was relaxing with soft background music and table spacing that allowed private group conversations. The restaurant is open to the outside through window, and where trees grow through the roof. The bar is well stocked and very attractive. The Día de Muerte alter was set for past staff, pianist, and owner. Our meal included a bean soup that was so rich and tasty. The soup was poured over cheese, tomato and cucumber at the table. The main meals were ribeye and pork, the latter falling off the bone and so tender and tasty. The meal came with bread rolls and twisted crackers and corn tortillas. I highly recommend the margarita. It is also very good and was perfect for the warm day. We finished the meal with flan which was accompanied with strawberries and raspberries. Thanks to Paco for great service.

This was sadly one of the worst meals I have eaten, in Mexico or elsewhere. The ambience is charming and the staff is very friendly and helpful. But every element of the meal—the cocktails, appetizer…

No estoy del todo satisfecho con este lugar, nos hicieron esperar bastante para sentarnos y tardaron como 40 minutos en empezar a servirnos. Pedimos una sopa de lentejas y una crema de frijol que me parecieron bastante mediocres. De plato fuerte pedí un Chile en nogada, que a mí parecer tenía una crema demasiado dulce y al poco tiempo me empalago. No es un lugar que recomendaría para gente joven, yo sinceramente no creo volver nunca, no solo por la comida si no por el servicio.

Fui acompañando a un amigo que me decía que los Chiles en Nogada, son una cosa especial en este restaurante. Y confirmo qué tiene razón. Pedimos unas entradas entre ellas un ceviche de pescado con mango estaba regular. Por un momento pensé que era vegetariano por que el pescado casi no se notaba. Fue muy notorio el precio del ron pues una copa estaba arriba de $320 pesos. Y en el menú no tienen precios de bebidas, tampoco ofrecieron información de precios, lo cual no es bueno. El guacamole bien hecho. La decoración es muy agradable. La atención de los meseros muy bien... le puse solo dos estrellas al servicio por no mostrar los precios de las bebidas.

2 estrellas porque el servicio del mesero fue muy malo, tardó en presentarse y ofrecer de beber aproximadamente 10 minutos, le preguntamos qué tenía y de mala gana nos dijo que preparaban lo que quisiéramos, después tardó otros 15 minutos en llevar la bebida y las cartas y no se diga lo que tardó en llevarnos los alimentos. El platillo de pato esta rico, es una porción generosa, el chile en nogada no tanto, creo que le faltó nogada y estaba muy dulce, pedimos ceviche con mango como entrada y estuvo muy amargo parecía del día anterior. Tenía unas expectativas muy altas pero sinceramente no llegó al mínimo aceptable. No lo recomiendo.

Lo bueno: La porción es grande y el servicio amigable. Lo malo: Todo lo demás. Este lugar claramente fue un gran lugar en el pasado. Ya no lo es más, el pan estaba viejo, la sopas estaban aguadas y desabridas. Pedimos la sopa de frijol y vino y la crema de roquefort con chipotle. De fuerte pedimos el pato y la lengua, ambos eran una gran porción de carne sin guarnición. La decoración era una hoja de lechuga seca y un rábano pasado (blando). El sabor no era desagradable, pero por esos precios (~270 el platillo) existen literalmente mil mejores lugares en la ciudad. Incluso la limonada estaba mala. El lugar está decorado sin sentido y es una mezcla de elementos de diseño despreciable. Hablando sobre algo menos subjetivo, estaba sucio por todos lados. Capas de polvo y desde nuestra mesa pudimos notar cuatro manteles sucios. Al final gastamos más de 1,000 pesos por una cena para dos personas que francamente desearíamos no haber tenido. No lo recomendaría jamás.

We came here on a Monday evening, and we were the only people in the restaurant. Our group of 4 ordered 4 different dishes, and they all came out barely warm, basically in the room temperature. The food looked good, but since it was served cold it tasted ok, nothing to write home about. It was hard to communicate with the waiter in English, so we thought there is no point in raising the issue with him. Best case scenario he would take them back to the kitchen and put them in a microwave. This could be a good experience but it certainly won’t be a repeat for us.

We ere a party of three, two of us had chile en nogada, one had Lengua en mole, the lengua en mole was good, the lengua was tender and the mole was very good. But the main reason we went to el sacromonte was to try the chile n nogada that someone recommended. The nogada was way too sweet (it tasted more like a sweet nut dressing) and not enough, pomegranate was to little as well, the pepper itself had not flavor and it was not spicy at all it was like biting a piece of grass. The place in general is high in prices, Buy the chile en nogada which normally is serve with no sides It’s also too expensive: $380 just for One chile The service was great at the beginning that a gentleman, nice waiter started helping us. For some reason shortly after they change our waiter and instead we had a younger waiter. Our new waiter treated us as if he was not having a good day… his service was anything but good. The atmosphere… even if it’s a very nice big open space in the restaurant it was very hot. (It was not a hot day in Guadalajara today) and even having a big open window on the left side of the entrance and another couple of open spaces the place was very hot and all they had were to small electric fans, one at the entrance of the restaurant and one in one of the corners of the restaurant which both of them were not enough to cool down the whole restaurant area. OJO… even if you park at the restaurant parking spot… they charge $60 pesos for parking I would not go back the this place I Do not recommend it

Was expecting much better food. The quesadillas, well, that's what they were called on the menu were melted cheese in very stodgy bread with an ok sauce. The main course of duck was over cooked and dry with a very sweet glaze/sauce. Also the margerita had cordial in it.

I can describe it as a disappointing visit, expectation were for a recommendation for a place with surprising plates and flavorful preparation. This looks like an old place that has lived their best times, living from memories and not reinvesting in renewing it. Food is a great idea on the menu, half way good in presentation and disappointing on the flavor, lack of taste and not those expected explosive ideas came to reality, even a simple lemonade was plain. Service is old school, not meaning anything against older people, it is simple that they are not experts on their dishes and they are not able to transmit an experience. I would not recommend, it is not the worst place because they still have that flame in the menu ideas, but they do not materialize them.

La comida es rica, pero hay muy poca transparencia. Pedimos una ensalada ($260) con pollo adicional y nos cobraron el pollo como si fuera un platillo completo. En el recibo aparecía como “Pollo con mole”, pero solo agregaron pollo a la plancha. Al final, la ensalada costó $600 ($340 solo por el pollo). No nos devolvieron el dinero.
