It’s hard to find a good BBQ place where everything is just right. Worth the hour drive from Fort Worth. From the meats, sides, desserts, to the drinks this establishment consistently stands as the best place to stop for a fantastic meal. Staff stays professional while still making you feel right at home. If you ever miss the exit, TURN AROUND and go get “GET CHA’ SOME!”

We tried for the 1st time today and the food is delicious , nice size portions, cowboy corn is yummy, fresh fries and I could go on and on. I had the burnt ends and Kent had a pulled pork sandwich plate and over half We took as take away. We will be back. They have a meat market, herseys ice cream, cakes/pies by the slice. They have a great patio too. If you're a Bologna fan go on Thursdays for the special. Say hi to Missy for me.

Wow!...Wow! We have tried this place several times and this weekend even ate here Friday and Sunday. Food is consistently the best in Bowie and beyond. Every step is in the meal is special and served with a heavy hand. Smoked chicken half and brisket are my favorites. Husband loves the ribs. We have to go early to get the ribs because they usually sell out. Choice of indoor or outdoor dining. Service is country friendly. Owners are always on hand making sure everything is perfect. At times there is a bit of a wait but it is well worth it and happens because their food is so delicious. Don't hesitate to try this place if you're in the area.

We travel a lot inside of country and we often look for a local country food restaurant. This one was in Bowie Texas on the way to Houston where we were headed. First time apple map brought us to High school. If you are looking for restaurant turn to right from mane road. Food was good and service was excellent. We liked style of local country restaurant and atmosphere. We recommend to stop by if you like tast of good beef brisket and spare ribs.

If you want good bbq, great service, and a small town atmosphere then this is the place! The ladies taking orders are super friendly and the food came quickly. This was our first time here, and it didn’t disappoint!

Best BBQ between Wichita Falls to Decatur, and best restaurant in Bowie by far. Deffinetely worth teaveling for if you're out of the area. I ate there when they were still in the food truck and their food is super consistent and just phenomenal BBQ. Ribs and Brisket are great. Good service too, they make everyone feel like family and make sure everyone is happy and taken care of. Overall great family run restaurant.

Good food, great Friday & Saturday night music plus it's a great family run business. We love bringing the whole family to eat bbq, sit around the fire pit & listen to some great local musicians.

My first time went out to hear a local artist Greg C. play and have dinner. Food was terrific. Music was great. Bathroom was clean. Enjoyed steak night. Hospitality was amazing.

Stopped today on our way back from Dallas and what a surprise! A bbq counter and a steak counter. Everyone that works here is so welcoming and friendly. We each picked out our steaks and they were cooked to perfection. Mac&cheese was delicious and the beans you cannot get anywhere else besides your grandma’s (maybe). i will drive an hour and 15 mins from home to eat here any day. Thank you all for your hospitality.

We finally caved to try this place. Was truly outstanding. Burnt ends. 5 star. Poppers. 5 star. Ribs. 5 star. Baked potato. 5 star. Then desert. If can’t fit it get it to go. That good.

New business to the area. So refreshing to eat something other than fast food or Mexican food. Competes well with the best BBQ places in the DFW area. I am from out of town, visiting family. I saw their business ad on a highway billboard and jad to find it to try. Well worth the try and stop. i hope they srick around. First time visiting Chisholm Trail Smokehouse while in Bowie. Coming from Austin, we enjoy good barbecue and were excited to try it. The barbecue was good overall. I had the moist brisket and jalapeño sausage, and my husband had brisket and ribs — the ribs were especially good. The cream corn was excellent, and the banana pudding was a standout that everyone loved. They also offer margaritas and beer, which was a nice bonus. A solid barbecue stop and worth checking out if you’re in the area.

Sliced brisket was tougher than expected, but nobody leaves hungry. Portions are generous and pecan pie is excellent. No yeast rolls on the menu here. BBQ sauce was top notch. Outdoor dining area is exposed to flying dust from the adjacent parking lot which is not paved. Dogs are allowed outside.

This is the best stop for BBQ on 287 between Decatur and Wichita Falls. Pass the others you see. Exit FM1125 close to the Walmart in Bowie. Outdoor patio is 👍👍.

Love mom and pop hole in the wall Restaurants. Didn't really get an opportunity to really try this one out, because they were out of half of their menu when we arrived. We'll try again. Most of this seating is outside, food is served out of a food truck.
