The chicken sandwiches are super good. I do prefer the breaded breast. The teas are very good and so are the desserts. Overall a really good spot to grab food to dine in or get to go. The French fries are nice and crispy. The brisket is good and the bottled sauce they keep next to the utensils is delicious.

This is absolutely one of my favorite restaurants. The reason is I love the taste of the chicken. It's rotisserie so you don't have all the added breading and things like that when you usually chicken out. they have really good vegetables but my favorite is a sweet potato. It's always done so that it's soft. The prices are reasonable. Such a good place for just a casual lunch or dinner.

Late lunch on a Sunday. Not crowded, plenty of seating options. Much better than fast food burger chains, similar to a Boston Market menu. Scent of wood-grilled is nice. Good variety of sides. My southwest salad was really good, fresh, not like it was pre-made thank goodness. Husband had grilled chicken plate with two sides, pleased with his meal. Friendly staff. Easy to find, convenient parking.

Great food, great service. The Laredo is delicious. My wife had an issue with her chicken enchiladas, the sauce was WAY too salty, and they replaced it with a quarter chicken and twice baked potatoes. The chicken was moist throughout. Not too easy to do at many places. Give this place a try if you haven't already. Today was the first visit we had an issue and it was handled very well by the staff.

I ordered from here today for the first time and I am so glad I did. I'm not on a diet, but I did feel like a salad today. I liked the idea of grilled Broccoli so I went with the Keto Bowl. OMG. I had no idea a salad could be this delicious. 10/10 will definitely be back!

We from Arlington TX we doing a road trip for spring break. I decided to catch some different events in Tyler TX area. We visited the Oil museum it was great! Google something to eat and Cowboy chicken came up. We thought they had fried chicken. We decided we would try the rotisserie chicken I tell you that chicken is so good. The seasoning was just right. All my fiancee only eat is fried chicken he said the rotisserie chicken was really good. I recommend Cowboys chicken you want be disappointed.

Haven't been here in a while. But we did tonight. The girls at the counter was more involved in their conversation then waiting on customers. A few of the tables were dirty.and they had been before we got there. After a while the 3 girls upfront got on their phones again instead of cleaning the tables or cleaning up the floor. Very frustrating how the service was tonight.

I have been to several of this chain and the location in Longview was the smoothest running yet. Food was fresh, service was prompt, and the staff made sure everything was clean. Although busy, the combo of factors meant people got what they needed and got to enjoy their meal

i have ate in Longview, and now work in Longview, and i had no idea about this place. i looked up places to eat and saw this one, their website won me over with the pictures of the food😅 i ordered the quarter white, with mac n cheese and a twice baked potato to go. everything tasted amazing, even the roll. it did come with a side of sauce, not sure whats in it, or if i like it or not, its confusing... but the manager/man that took my money was extremely friendly, very sweet. roughly $12 per plate. overall a wonderful visit, thank you!!!

Just consistently delicious. The chicken is always so good. The sides are equally fantastic. Their signature hot sauce just adds perfectly to the flavor. Been eating here for 8 years when I moved here. I also ate here in the DFW area when I lived there. Same great service and flavor. I highly recommend it.

We love Cowboy Chicken! Honestly, it's the best chicken in this area. I'm gluten free and have never had an issue. I eat the chicken, garden salad, keto salad, chicken enchiladas, twice-baked potatoes (the best!) and broccoli. We order Thanksgiving dinner from here every year and it's wonderful!! I am not someone who likes turkey but I Cowboy Chicken's! The people who are able to eat gluten love the dressing and cobbler! Must visit and see for yourself how good the chicken is!

Update as of 12/9/21: I will not be eating here again for a while. The last few times the food has pretty bad. I'm a frequent customer and noticed that something of late has changed. The food quality is very poor. Hopefully they'll figure out what's up and their food quality will improve. I'll try it again on 6-12 months to see where they stand. Great food and great service. The chicken is always on point, the fried okra is great, and their chips and salsa will surprise you.

I've been going to Cowboy chicken since they opened. I absolutely love this place, they treat you like family (they know me by name), I eat there every chance I get and we order delivery as well all the time. I could sit there and watch the chicken in the rotisserie for hours. I love the chicken alone, in a sandwich or salad, but my favorite is the enchiladas! You can also choose a variety of sides. Last time I was there I ordered the enchiladas, twice bake potatoers and cucumber tangy salad.

I definitely should have tried this earlier. I was pleasantly surprised. The food was absolutely amazing. We had the "brisket and quarter chicken", their signature "chicken burger" (forgot the name) and the children's "chicken sliders". As far as sides we had the Mexican corn, spinach dip, which were wonderful. I will definitely be going back and placing them in my top 15 good eats in East texas. I've only been once so after a couple more tries it might end up in the top 5!

I ordered the 4 piece chicken tenders and a half chicken from a free coupon I got in the mail. The young ladies in the front were fast and friendly. My order was out in less than 20 minutes. I the half rotisserie chicken was fresh off rotation delicious. Great beans don't to perfection. Rice with corn was pretty good. The tenders, I've had a few in my lifetime. These things were outstanding. Crispy, juicy not dry and piping hot out the grease. The French fries were delicious and the Mac was good. All in all I will be back again. The atmosphere in here was poppin at lunch time too.

The food was delicious. I ordered brisket with a sweet potato and green beans with a jalapeño cucumber lemonade. Perfect combo for me! I didn’t get the names of the two employees behind desk but they were very accommodating and attentive. I appreciated them going the extra mile and will definitely be back!

The smell of rotisserie chicken hits you right in the taste buds when you walking the door! The Buffalo Chicken Salad was excellent and so was the Monterey Salad. I wish we had one of these where I live!

I just wish the pulled pork or their BBQ beef portion was a little bigger especially for the price. But it is delish. I always get the green beans (I like mine a little more done, but if you like a crunch when eating green beans then this place is for you!) I have been here a few times and overall this place is amazing. The rotisserie chicken has a great smoky flavor, regardless of dark or white. The brisket however isn’t as great, but still good nonetheless (4/5). I’ve tried all the sides but the beans and greens. The sides are great, they come in the perfect portions and all taste fresh and not like the cheap frozen ones. Every time I have ate there the service has been impeccable, big smiles with lots of recommendations. They all seem to love their jobs. Overall: If you are looking for chicken that ain’t fried, this is THE place if you are in Longview. The prices are fair, meaning you get what you pay for.

Took my family to lunch after church. We ordered the family meal. One large rotisserie chicken, 3 sides, rolls and dessert and four drinks. Chicken was amazing, macaroni and cheese was delicious, ranch style bean were tasty, garden salad was fresh and crisp. The banana pudding was better than mommas. Don't tell her! We ate til we were full and had food left over. All for a fair price. What a great place! We will definitely be returning for more.

Roommate wanted to try this place out and it was great! Walked in and it smelt as expected and reminded of similar places I've been to. Food was brought out fairly quick. I got a quarter white chicken with roll, Mac & Cheese, and fries and it was almost too much to eat but was very good. Chicken was tender, juicy, and fall off the bone. Mac & Cheese as best, wish I did double side of that. Fries were great too but I think much food all together in the end. Good place to try if you haven't. And side note for those unsure. After finish earing, leave your trays at the table, they'll bus after you finish. We were unsure and asked the counter to make sure before leaving.

I was not planning on making a purchase but when I got a whiff of the hickory smell of the chicken, I couldn't resist! I bought family meals of the Enchiladas w\ mac & cheese, green beans, Spanish rice & the chicken family meal w\ sweet potato, fried okra, & cream spinach. I also had salsa w chips. The food was everything I had been looking for : Home Cooked! Everything tasted like comfort food! Tender chicken, freshly made salsa, perfectly seasoned everything! The food tastes as if someone used fresh ingredients and took their time so I really liked that. Whoever is in the kitchen, please teach me your ways! The Peach Cobbler....😍😍😍😍! Arrived at restaurant at 12.00 noon on a Thursday. I was immediately able to order, although the restaurant was full of eating patrons. I ordered the triple green bowl (pictured - $9.99) - my coworker ordered the daily special - A leg/thigh quarter with two sides (he chose creamed spinach and sweet potato) for $6.99. Food arrived at table in approximately 4 minutes. Excellent food - mine was exceptionally fresh and tasty - my coworker said it was five stars and he would eat there again anytime. A Texas Restaurant with exceptional Yard Bird!

I ordered the lunch special on line, 1/2 dark chicken with two side, Great price. The food was 3 minutes after ready time, and people I had watched order food had theirs ready before I had mine, so o didn't save any time ordering on line. Chicken and corn fritters were really delicious. Fried okra could use some salt and half of it was too big and had a Woody texture.

I have always liked Cowboy Chicken, and I always get the rotisserie chicken. This time, they had a picture of their Nashville hot chicken sandwich up on the menu, and it looked delicious. I got it, and the twice baked potato, and Mac and cheese. The sandwich was delicious, the potatoes were kinda sad, nothing special, Mac and cheese was good. Wife and son got chicken tenders, they were not impressed by them at all, and they were small.

The food was fantastic! I wish we had these back home! I'd love to give 5 stars, but it took a long time to get our food, and the place was basically empty when we were there.

Hi there, We’ve mentioned this a few times in different places — even in private messages — but it seems this issue hasn’t really been addressed. Over the past few years (about four years now), the portion sizes — especially the fries — have noticeably decreased. Even when ordering a double fries, we sometimes get barely a handful, maybe 15 pieces. It feels like “Texas size” doesn’t really apply anymore. When we bring it up, a few random people jump in to say “if you don’t like it, don’t come,” but that’s not the point — we actually love Cowboy Chicken, and that’s exactly why we care enough to share honest feedback. We understand you may not want to raise prices, but reducing portion sizes isn’t the best solution either. We truly hope management takes this into consideration and brings back the generous portions that made Cowboy Chicken special in the first place. Thank you for listening!

Freshly prepared food. Generous portions. Quick friendly service. Stopped in here with the family for dinner at 6:00pm. There was a line, but we had our food in about 10 mins. Ok yall. I’m usually a CC lover, but yesterday was kinda bad. Immediately when we walked in, it smelt like sewage (should’ve taken that as a sign). We go to order and they are out of enchiladas!! The whole reason I went! Ok, not a problem, so I ordered a bbq chicken sandwich. Got an extra side to go with it. My son ordered a tender plate. They didn’t put pickles on my sandwich, no onions, and they left out the roll on his plate. The corn (which is usually my fav) was COLD and not fresh. It was just really inconsistent this visit and a little bit of a let down. I go to restaurants that are consistent and this time, CC wasn’t. Bummer.

Food was great! Service was pretty shotty and it was really hard to tell the menu items. The place was clean but very cramped. The atmosphere was strange like theybcouldnt tell if they were fast food or a dine in restaurant. Overall the food quality saved the bad layout and experience.

The day I first came to this restaurant and ordered Texas-sized fries with my meal, the tray in front of me was completely full of fries, and we couldn’t help but laugh from sheer surprise. Now, after a few years, this amount of Texas-sized fries seems laughable—either change the name or bring back the original portion size and raise the price, because this is an insult to Texas and your customers. Don’t you think you should respect your customers and provide a reasonable explanation? I’m writing this post here because when I posted it with a photo on the Longview page, the page founder deliberately deleted my post.

I was really excited to try this place after passing it several times but was actually a bit disappointed in the food. The wings are not really crispy and mich fattier than I would prefer. The buffalo sandwich was also quite skimpy and more bread than chicken. The fries are top notch though and well as what seems to be homemade ranch.

As far as chicken goes it's excellent but their size needs working out. Macaroni has a commercial taste to it don't think it's homemade enough and the peach cobbler I had a soggy appearance taste more vanilla than the peaches itself vanilla was overpowering and I couldn't taste anything else but the sugar what peaches was in there didn't stand a chance. Just a tip too many shortcuts will bring the quality of your food down and that's a fact

Mac and Cheese and mashed potatoes were very good. The green beans were not cooked thoroughly and were so rubbery you could not eat them. The whole chicken was overcooked so the skin was difficult to eat. Gravy was okay. Peach cobbler was too cakey and dry, not your traditional peach cobbler. Cooks need improvement.

This place is DELICIOUS!!! but, this $14 brisket plate is not worth the cash. I was wondering where my brisket!?? (I took a bite then realized i didn’t have much to eat). They do have the best double baked mash potatoes ever. Definitely will be going back... just do not order the brisket unless you plan on getting full on the sweet tea that is so sweet it'll cause diabetes. (Yes, I am saying it is too sweet. Order half and half only)

The first time we order Cowboy chicken it was really good so we went back again yesterday, but for some weird reason it wasn’t the same. I placed an order online through olo. Pick up says that it is ready by 8:07. Got me the 3piece dark and brisket plate. Got there and they told me they didn’t have any more street corn by 8pm so I had to pick a substitute, then had to wait for atleast 10-15mins again for my order. Got home and open the box and instead of a three piece dark. I got me a leg quarter, there is no chicken skin on the thigh part. The chicken skin on the legs was so hard that you cannot even chew it, chicken was undercooked. I was very disappointed. There was even a customer before me that got a refund because they didn’t have what they order

I was disappointed. I really am not unrealistic. But know times have changed and the price of doing business has certainly increased. Back in the late 90s I would go to the one in Dallas and I would order the several BBQ chicken sandwiches and they were $.99 each. They were so good. The same dried out dead sandwich is now $12.99. And they asked for a tip after I stood in line to order my food and made my own drink and pick up my own food. I met the original owner back in the day and he would be ashamed.

Really disappointing experience overall tonight. First, it took over an hour to get my food. I called my order in, and they said it would take 30 minutes before it was ready. So I arrived about 45 minutes later to pick it up. They said they were still working on it, and I waited another 25 minutes for my food. When I was about to ask if my food was still cooking, someone who worked there asked my name to check on my order. It was ready to go and when they handed it to me it didn't feel too warm, and I think it was likely sitting there for at least 10 minutes. I would have rated higher than 2 stars if it were just the long wait as I get that mistakes happen and they were a little busy, but the food wasn't as great as it usually is either. The roasted broccoli was really dry, and the Mexican street corn was pretty bland. I also discovered when I got home they left out the butter and cinnamon sugar that were supposed to go with the sweet potato. The chicken and sweet potato were at least cooked well. I've been here a good number of times in the past, and up until now I have always had a positive experience. But it will likely be a good amount of time before I return here.

Picked u0 my birthday reward and treated rudely by manager. Not sure I'd ever go back. Used the restroom before leaving. Nasty, no toilet paper and crap on the wall. Not sure how they are able to serve food. 🤢 I'll be contacting the county health so they can do an inspection.

Sad to say I had a horrible experience this evening. We arrived and placed our oder for dine in, 20 mins later and after witnessing 5 customers that had arrived after us received their food, I went to check on our order and was told my oder would be out shortly. I waited another 20 mins, again 6 more customers ordered, ate and left, I went back up to check and the cashier asked the cook which he replied I have done that order and threw away the ticket! Cashier told me, never apologized even once, they are working on your order, mind you as she proceed to serve three trays to people that had just sat down. I requested a refund at that point, since my order was not being prepared, manager came out to give me a refund. Very cold again never apologized, did not speak a word to me just handed me the receipt! Horrible service, horrible management skills. I will be sending my concerns to the corporate level.

It's a No. I love Cowboys and I Love Chicken but I don't love Cowboy Chicken. The chicken was drier than a snake's belly after going through the Sahara. Yes I'm dramatic but when I'm paying good money and EVERYTHING was horrible, including the sides- I give bad rating. Also, the entire staff seemed immature and there was an employee out infront smoking and went straight to the kitchen after coming back. I prefer to see them go wash their hands. He did not. I will not go back willingly

Seriously unimpressed. I ordered the buffalo chicken sandwich, fries, and a side of mac and cheese. My better half ordered the Laredo with fries. The best thing i can say is that the food was hot. Her chicken was dryer than dry, mine was a tiny portion douched in soggy lettuce and way too much buffalo sauce. Almost $40 for a gross lunch....will not be going here again.

The only thing cowboy about this chicken is the barn they serve it in. We went here for the first time. There was no one else there except for the staff that were sitting around with un clean tables empty lemonade and nasty bathrooms. One of the employees had there sick baby coughing all around where the drinks were. No one was doing anything. Even the lady at the front desk was extremely unhelpful didn’t know the menu and there so much that could have been done. The food was good! I’ll never be back.

I highly disappointed in my service from the service that I received a month ago. I even emailed corporate and they played around with my emails back-and-forth, but Never helped me. This is what happened. I went into the store and I was the only black person in the store. There were several families that came before, and after me that were in large groups. I made my order before them, and they all receive meals before me. I went back to the counter multiple times to tell them that I was just asking for chicken and two sides, but I still couldn’t get them to get finished with my order. I looked at some of the trays of the orders that were coming after me with those families and they had some of the food items that I had. please hurry up my order 30 to 40 minutes later. I finally got my food and some of those people that came in later than I did Ordered were finishing the meals and leaving. I followed up with corporate so I wouldn’t have to do this bad review but they said that they wanted to get the receipt for me. The corporate person with Tony Evans, and he was some IT and technical support for the franchise. But he never finished up helping me. Now somewhat of franchisee. But he never finished up helping me. Now somewhat more than a month and a half away, I still haven’t gotten anything or response. I never use the race card, but it was really very evident that no one wanted to help me despite me requesting more help and asking where my order was. I got some food to go but it was not a good experience. I ordered a half chicken dinner. Problem is it must have been a one legged bird. I didn't get that part of the chicken. Sides were ice cold. My girl friend had tenders with fries. I'm guessing that the fries are in portion bags because they were stuck together in plastic and not edible. Very disappointed this place was great last time but everyone was too busy having a good time talking and not worried about the job. I worked in restaurants for 20 years and this is unacceptable. If this keeps up there will be a new restaurant in the place and maybe they will care a little more and I can get some food from them

Food was slopped together by teenagers who don’t really care or understand good food or food preparation. Way too salty, the chicken was cold, and the green beans had unclipped ends. For a fistful of dollars (almost 40.00 bucks), all I got was the bad and the ugly for a gross meal. The only good is this cowboy is riding into the sunset and never coming back to this trough.

I’ve always loved Cowboy Chicken, but after today’s experience, I won’t ever return — especially while the current manager (who told me his name was Tim) is employed. I ordered directly through their website for delivery to my job. When my food arrived, I was missing both my drink and my side of beans. I called the store, and the young woman who answered said the manager was at the bank but would call me back. While waiting, I called Uber since they were listed as the delivery provider, but after being transferred around, they told me I had to go through the restaurant because the order wasn’t placed through them. I called Cowboy Chicken back, and the same girl said the manager told her it wasn’t their problem. I asked to speak to him directly. After being put on hold for several minutes, he finally answered. When I explained the situation calmly, he rudely told me it wasn’t his responsibility the delivery driver left it and that I needed to deal with the delivery service. When I said I’d reach out to corporate, he said, “That’s fine,” and then hung up on me. After that, no one answered when I called back. This was the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. I wasn’t asking for anything free — just a refund for the items I paid for and didn’t receive. Instead, I wasted my entire lunch break trying to get help and was treated with total disrespect. Cowboy Chicken, do better. Treat your customers with the basic decency they deserve. We pay to much money to not receive what we pay for with no resolution. The food I did receive was amazing the customer service was disgusting! My job normally uses them to cater our employees that business is lost…

Terrible experience this time..I never knew the sold grilled chicken...but there is a huge rotisserie oven in the dining room area..sooo give me what I asked for ROTISSERIE..ijs..uuughhh...but mgr tim called me bck and will make it right...now I know white meat but is this meat really done...NOPE....i dont eat PINK nor RED meat...ijs...please cook my meat fully!!!!!!....uuughhhh....look at the pics

I ordered Thanksgiving meal, and one large stuffing and all the rolls I ordered did not show up with my order! I opened up everything Thanksgiving morning, and to say I was disappointed is an understatement. Thanks for partially ruining our Thanksgiving meal. This is the first and will be the last time I order a holiday meal from your store.

I always enjoy the food. The sides are great as well as the desert. I thought that they do everything to order and I came to find out it is just microwaved. The containers were warped and I felt uneasy eating these because I did not know what type of food safe container they are using. Am I eating plastic? Customer Service?

Absolute terrible experience. Extremely unclean and poor service. The sandwich said ready to pick up and took another 20mins to get. Total wait time was 39mins for 1 sandwich and when it came out it was extremely unappetizing and had barely any coleslaw with it. When we arrived we had to try to find a clean table because everything was dirty. Ice and tea machines don’t seem to be maintained and are filthy as well.
