Place gets mad busy at lunch, but if you can get a table it is an adorable little sandwich place and the food is incredibly fresh. A sandwich leaves you full but not hating yourself and I love how some of the menu changes out. Great work lunch spot!

My go-to place for healthy and tasty salads. I love their avocado & quinoa superfood salad and Cesar salad. Make sure to order extra dressing so you have enough for the whole bowl.

One of the best sandwiches I’ve had in US. chicken caprese panini has everything I like in a sandwich: chicken, pesto, mozzarella, veggies… I’m having it again soon!

I really love the quality of the food here. Really like the Bahn Mi sandwich. Atmosphere is really fun and upscale. Really like the beer on tap and samples. I personally would give this 5 but not everyone would. It's worth a try!

Eric was a real one! Amazing customer service and a really pleasant vibe even when there’s the a big lunch rush. I love to ge the soup and sandwich or salad and sandwich combo. The turkey avo salsa is always a hit. 🍗🥑🍅🥖 The Thai chicken mango salad is also super tasty and a decent portion. 🥗🥭🍗 I come back to this place often and I’ll continue to for the great service and amazing food.

Went for an early new years eve snack. We were greeted by Jorge V - great service as I had a toddler and parent with dietary restrictions. The Avocado & Quinoa Superfood Ensalda is a great choice for vegetarian eaters, and Jorge was kind to suggest and recommend an alternative hot sandwich for my mom. We appreciated the warm welcome and service. Happy 2025!

I love, love the fresh items and being able to customize my own sandwich. Just beware of the time you’re ordering (lunch rush hour for ex.) when ordering online/ over the phone. Also, be sure to specify each time if you would like your sandwich lightly toasted or not (I’ve had multiple sandwiches way past toasted and because I am hungry I will still eat them.)

Palo Alto Mendocino Farms Location is great. The food is always great and the service is very warm and welcoming. Victoria always has a smile on her face when I walk in and makes sure that I am well taken care of when she see’s me. There’s nothing like great service, a great staff, and great food. That will always be a recipe for success and retaining customers like myself.

I absolutely love Mendocino Farms. The food here is always so fresh, organic and healthy. I love coming here. I love the superfood quinoa salad - so delicious and healthy. Good sized portion. I think the thai mango salad is okay - its just that there are large and small pieces of the salad (like large pieces of chicken, with smaller pieces of salad leaves, so it is harder to eat). Regardless, I love using the app to order food ahead of time so that my food is ready when I come pick it up. Parking is easy - free street parking. Service is fast. Restrooms available. Large indoor and outdoor dining available.

Love love love their salads! And they're almost always open to substituting ingredients and customizing. My favorite here is the Avocado and Quinoa superfood salad.

Five stars for outstanding service from the time you enter until you have finished your dinner. When you visit for the first time, the welcoming staff at the front desk can explain the menu and offer samples of their side dishes close to the register. People came to check on us when our food came to make sure everything was okay. It would be my choice for a quick, nutritious lunch in downtown Philadelphia even though I would rate the meal closer to a 4 out of 5 star rating (the chicken and tuna were simply ok).

Food is absolutely delicious, the turkey sandwich with avocado YUM, I did a build your own salad. Everything was fresh and tasted wonderful. All the cookies are delicious, I tried them all.

I stumbled upon Mendocino farms by luck while in Palo Alto on a visit. When I checked the reviews, everyone seemed to like the food so I decided to try it, not expecting much. I had the Mama Chen's chinese chicken salad and it was AMAZING! The ingredients were all so fresh, the lettuce was perfectly crisp and there was just the right amount of every ingredient. The crispy wontons were such a treat and I don't usually enjoy the wontons but these were perfection. The dressing was so yummy that I saved some of it to use later at home. I also had the turmeric lemonade which was absolutely delicious. I'm glad I discovered Mendocino Farms and will definitely be back to try the sandwiches and soup.

Delish high quality food at a great price. Excellent for vegans and vegetarians. The curbside pick up is a nightmare if you don't know exactly where it is, as MF is adjacent to one way streets, so getting to curbside is awful. Once you are there, reception is bad, so you end up waiting many minutes for a parking space, then you end up walking in for your order anyway because the link doesn't work. They needed 45 minutes to make a sandwich at 11:45 am.

Everything I ordered was delicious and fresh! The gentleman at counter was very helpful with wonderful customer service by everyone I interacted with.

My pre-order was MIA but I chatted up a staffer who looked for it in their system, decided somebody may have taken it, and made me a fresh salad on the spot! ❤️

When I order from here, I build my own sandwich.. so it’s expected that once in a while my order would come incorrect... but this has NEVER happened at Mendocino Farms. Their meats, produce/veggies, and bread is always fresh and they will never mess up your order. Very friendly staff, too! Little tip though: if you’re in a rush and don’t have time to wait, call ahead. It’ll take about 20 minutes for your order to be ready and there isn’t a ton of open parking nearby.

This is hands down the best salad option in the area, doesn’t compare to sweetgreen or others. More options, ingredients are fresh and there are multiple options on the menu (healthy and not). From their ready menu I love the crunchy quinoa and avocado, their pearl curry couscous and caprese sandwich. They also offer great catering service

Recently visited Mendocino farms for dinner and had a great experience! I ordered a salad and it was delicious and very fresh. The staff was friendly and helpful and overall just made my visit very pleasant. The atmosphere is great and it is in a great location in downtown Palo Alto.

Like Zupas but way better! The food was delicious and a great portion size. Reasonably priced as well, especially for the area. We will be back again. I tried the hummus salad, and we also got the caprese sandwich with chicken tortilla soup. Everything was delicious, especially the soup.

The mango thai salad was delicious. The chicken was so soft and cooked too perfection.

Had the vegan Reuben sandwich and tofu green bean salad. Both of these were out of this WORLD. Unfortunately, I was too full to eat another entire sandwich, but if I could’ve, I would’ve! The sandwich had a crunchy exterior, the fake meat has a satisfying chew, and the entire bite was just so juicy and flavorful. The green bean tofu salad is SO GOOD. One of my favorite salads is the not so fried chicken, substitute the vinaigrette for thai vinaigrette, add extra chicken Also the lemon chicken soup farro is the best.

I tried the Vegan Banh Mi recently at this wonderful place. I liked the overall preparation and the aioli and the sweet chili sauce very pleasantly delightful along with the other veggies. I was a little curious on how all will go along on a ciabatta, but it was pretty amazing.

Went here with friends of mine for lunch. It was a different experience. A good place to check the type of food u like to eat. Is a nice place to eat. Clean, Good service n u pick the type of food u want n they will bring it to your table.

Nice place to have a more healthy meal. I had the Vegan Banh Mi and Vegetarian Chili, my Texan friend ordered the Impossible Taco Salad and my wife had the Prosciutto and Chicken. Everyone was pleasantly impressed with the food.

We love Mendocino Farms for their clean & flexible menu items. The selection is basic sandwiches, salads and side dishes but their quality ingredients is what sets them apart. They offer vegan and gluten free options which are very appetizing and their kids meals are perfect for the little ones.

I had the chicken mbp sandwich with curried cauliflower soup. The soup was amazing! I could of eaten double the amount, it was creamy but with lots of flavour and not very spicy. The sandwich was nice as well but I'd preferred if it was hot. The chicken was moist and well cooked

I'd heard good things about the chain but wasn't overly impressed. Value for money is pretty decent as the sandwiches are huge. But actually that just means they are over filled and hard to eat, and have random ingredients in them that just don't seem to fit flavour wise. For example, the caprese comes without tomatoes and basil (literally the ingredients meant to go in a caprese!) And with a ton of marinated roasted red peppers. And the chicken and prosciutto came with a load of honey roast nuts in it. Weird. Then, the service we received at the Palo alto outlet was pretty bad. Didn't understand how to order and no attempt at guiding us what to do. Didn't suggest drinks. Didn't tell us if we had to pick it up or they bring it. Waited over 15 mins for the food. Then they bring the wrong order. Pretty annoying when you've already paid tip by that point.

Food is great but don’t come to dine in while they are busy with Doordash orders. Waited nearly half an hour watching to go orders fly by while there were basically no people eating inside. Like I get first come first serve but I feel like I would have gotten my food sooner if I had just stayed home and ordered through an app.

Do ya like salt? First couple of times I got take out from here, I thought it was pretty good. Lately though, it has really taken a nosedive. They seem to be dumping increasing amounts of salt in all the food, especially the soup. I had the Greek chicken soup and it was pretty much inedible and the Unreal Ruben was almost as bad. Luckily, the Not So Fried Chicken Sandwich was spared the insane salt treatment. My other issue is their near-total indifference to the environment. Plastic bowls for salads and non compostable sandwich wrappers. Strangely though, they include compostable silverware with the plastic bowls. Go figure. Meanwhile, the salad joint down the street uses all compostable containers. So we know it's possible

Great sandwiches and salad albeit high on calories. But boy, all this single use plastic (plastic salad bowls and disposable flatware for take out). Not great for a « farm ». ! Mandecino should look at what Sweetgreens is doing.

Unfortunately this Mendo has a real problem with managing the glut of online orders it receives. I'm used to there being a delay at lunch time but both times i've been to this particular Mendocino Farms location i've waited at least 30 minutes past the pickup time for food to be ready. The food is always good and comes out fresh, the kitchen is simply too backed up.

Maybe the food tastes good but who knows? I placed my takeout order an hour ago, they said it would be done 30 minutes ago, and I don't have it yet. This happened the last time I came pre-pandemic also. They won't get another chance.

The food was ok flavor but please clean your service trays.

Line was long. The wait for the food was long. The beer was flat as the draft was empty, but nobody knows the keg needs to be replaced and still charging customers for flat draft beer. The Cesar salad was horrible. I appreciate creativity when it comes to salad. But these folks empty a jar of mustard with the seeds in to the salad. Why? I suggest everybody should be checking the quality of their meal and keep providing feedback. This place used to be much better than this. I will give them one more chance before I take a u-turn for good. It is a trend in Palo alto that restaurants become complacent and not only improve, but decline in the quality realm.

The tofu banh mi was on ciabatta instead of traditional toasted baguette, which was very saucy and made the bread soggy real fast. The flavors were fine and liked the jalapeno. The side salad with the combo was not the best, extremely oily and barely any kale for a kale salad!

The food quality and quantity was great, but was extremely disappointed with the food prep. We order the food online at 9:30 am to have it ready by 12. But food was prep for delayed by 35 mins. I had lunch meeting didn’t get to my meeting until 12:45 PM. For this reason I am not sure I will ever come back to this restaurant again.

We were excited to see this place open but it was a disappointment. It is a hipster place that focuses more on show than substance. The people are overwhelming starting when you enter the restaurant. The guy taking our order was trying to bro-down with us and flailing his hands enough that I thought he was going to poke my eye out. He was making lots of comments about our order that were unnecessary. I won't want commentary on my order, thanks. The bill was expensive which set my expectations high. We ordered two sandwiches and two entree salads, one of which was the Sophisticated Chicken and Prosciutto Salad with a tortilla. I know; just the name is pretentious. The salad was tasty but small. In reviewing the menu to write this, I see that the tortilla is "vegan". That might be why it was disgusting. One hot-pressed sandwich was cold all the way through and the other was falling apart. We suspect the sandwich was sitting for awhile while the finished the salads and got cold.

1 hour wait for pickup after the website said 10 minutes. The wrap was soggy and had way too much dressing on it. Also had a hair in it. Disappointing.

Came in around 4pm on a Wednesday and it took them 20 minutes to prepare my one sandwich. None of the employees seemed to care either. Bad customer service. Only good thing was the sandwich but not really anything to write home about.

Great food but awful service. We ordered an expensive to-go order with 5 different sandwiches. After waiting a solid 20 minutes (the wait wasn't the problem), we received a bag with what the employee said was all of our food. An hour later we were in the San Jose airport hungry and tired, and there were only 4 of the 5 sandwiches. What's worse is that on the receipt (which we didn't think to check) there's a line through everything except that one sandwich. It would have been nice if the waiter had warned us or said anything about how we didn't fully receive our order. I'm a fan of the Mendocino chain, but this was not a good experience.

Food was good and delicious, but poor service! They didn’t provide any napkins or cutleries in our take our order (three sandwiches and one salad bowl for a business meeting) ! How do they expect people to eat salad without fork/spoon?

Our order took FOREVER!!! We stopped by sweet greens and picked up from warm salads then proceeded to Mendocino Farms for soups and sandwiches. With one person in front of us and 3 people working, I am so surprised our order took like 30+ mins to make! We are hoping this was a fluke. We are hoping it will be much better next time.

Never had it before. My wife ordered me a not so fried chicken sandwich. The first bite I knew I would never come back. The sandwich is so sweet it could be on a desert menu. The BBQ sauce made it even worse. It is trying to be too trendy. It is even worse tha Panera. Wanted to like it but not good.

I ordered online. I came in around 5:45 upon entering cashier was on his phone texting. That's not the problem, the problem is if I am spending 30 dollars on 2 salads and 1 had browning vegetables that's something to be irate about. I could understand maybe 1 or 2 pieces but when it is at least majority of it that's a problem. I work for the food industry, and one of the rules is would you serve that to your family. Food for thought.

Ordered “FOR HERE” check says for here, did their QR CODE to table scanning check number so they deliver food to us. What do they do? Completely ignore all “FOR HERE” and put our food into a to go bag. We sat there for 30 minutes waiting (they’re not that busy, not by any means full), finally got annoyed and walked up to counter to find bag. See all labels saying for here and marker writing to go. So idiotic, want the money back, useless cold food. Ugh, never coming back. Ruined my lunch and mood.

They cut my sandwich in half with a knife that was covered in the ingredients/sauce of another person's sandwich. Extremely unhygienic and frankly disgusting. Do not go here if you have allergies.

I ordered pink lady beets salad- with instructions of NO Chicken. But it was present in my order. I called them again to inform about the wrong order they prepared. after long hour call, they agreed the mistake and prepared the same salad again (I told- No chicken). At the time of pick up, I reconfirmed from the staff there, they said yes it has “no chicken”. But it again had chicken 😣 I assume either the staff making salad are in hurry or they don’t read the instructions carefully. Or they have staff shortage so that everyone can pay focus to order they are making. My mother doesnot eat chicken and items having chicken. Unfortunately I failed in getting this salad for her( it was my favorite). ☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️

THE MANAGER OF THIS MENDOCINO HAS ZERO PEOPLE/CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS. His name is JORGE and he has a short-tempered, argumentative, confrontational, "hate my job" attitude towards customers. Jorge does NOT know how to smoothly resolve a simple issue with an order. Instead of resolution, he is argumentative and all he wants is to be right. Jorge should be ashamed the way he treats his customers as well as other Mendocino employees. One of Mendocino's nice employees had great customer-service skills and resolved our issue right away but Jorge stopped him in his tracts and let this employee know that JORGE IS THE BOSS AND JORGE WILL DECIDE NOT HIM, reversing out a simple resolution that was already decided. We ended up not even eating here. DO NOT COME TO THIS MENDOCINO if you want a good meal without grief and hassle.

Don't order here if you are in a rush. I ordered ahead and arrived around order due time but I still need to stand there and wait for 15 minutes. And it‘s not even meal time😅this happened at least twice at this specific store😅

I had a terrible and unsafe experience at this restaurant. I **clearly told the staff I cannot eat pork**, not only for personal reasons but because I have a **serious allergy. Despite that, they served me a sandwich **that contained pork**. I took a bite before realizing something was wrong, and when I asked about it, they admitted it had pork — but acted like it was *no big deal*. I ended up **getting sick** from that bite, and instead of an apology or concern, the staff member I spoke to was **rude, dismissive, and even raised her voice at me**. Completely unprofessional and absolutely unacceptable. Food allergies can be life-threatening, and this kind of negligence and attitude is dangerous. If you have any dietary restrictions or expect basic respect from restaurant staff, I strongly recommend staying away from this place.

The Caesar salad was good, as usual, but the service was absolutely horrendous. I was told my food would be brought to my table, but after waiting over 20 minutes in an almost empty restaurant, I found my salad just sitting at the pickup counter. Not one of the three staff members seemed remotely interested in doing their job. They couldn’t even figure out who the order was for—completely clueless and clearly unwilling to help. The laziness and lack of care were downright embarrassing for a place that should know better.

Terrible, very disappointing experience, the staff is very reckless and disrespectful, made fun in a very miserable way about my religion and that we do not eat pork, we clearly explicitly asked if the sandwiches have pork and they said no, after couple bites we discovered that they do! Went to the cashier and she said ok! Its not a big deal. Very dismissive

Change name to Subway. I didn't realize that when i ordered the stake sandwich I actually ordered a bread sandwich.. must be my English . At least it costed only 25$ (I'm sarcastic ofc)

The number of times this location has "missed" protein in my to-go orders is just frustrating! I really like the Avocado Quinoa salad which doesn't come with a protein. So I order it on the side. Since this has happened before I generally check before leaving. Today just happened to be one of those days that I didn't. I've been a regular to almost all of the Mendos in the Bay Area.

I was told there was hardly any spice, but they could accommodate that. It arrived covered in a chile aioli. It was so spicy I wasn’t able to eat it. When I took it to the counter I was told to dump it in the trash myself. “What would we want your food for,” was what was said back to me. They made a second sandwich, forgot half the ingredients and didn’t cut the sandwich. It was prosciutto, nuts, and bread thrown on a tray, making it hard to pick up. The peaches weren’t ripe and were hard as rocks. The sandwich fell apart when picked up. I was given a refund and left hungry. The staff seemed to think this interaction was typical and had reasons why they had cut the first sandwich but not the second, how they could give me mozzarella so I could finish making the sandwich myself on my tray…the whole thing was absurd for an $18 sandwich.
