Listen… I don’t hype up restaurants lightly, but Hiccups in Long Beach? Yeah, this place deserves its flowers. I’ve been here probably 5–9 times now, always for the brisket pho, because WHY fix what’s already perfect? The brisket is insanely clean, tender, legit melts in your mouth. And the broth? Bro… the broth tastes like someone’s grandma back in Vietnam woke up at 4 AM just to make my pot personally. Clean, balanced, comforting — not overly salty, not oily. Just perfect. And let me tell you… I normally drive all the way to Little Saigon for pho because I’m picky like that. But THIS spot? It’s absolutely in my Top 3 pho places, no question. Long Beach really got one with this place. I always order to-go, and their packaging is ELITE. No leaks, no soggy noodles, no broth explosions in your car — the whole setup is engineered like NASA worked on it. Other spots need to take notes. Today I went wild and added the beef fried rice and WOW. This thing could feed a family of four easy. Full flavor, full portion, full win. I also grabbed the fried tofu — crispy, golden, and comes with this sweet n’ sour dipping sauce that just hits different. OH — and the DRINKS. They actually have a whole lineup of drinks that looks delicious 🤤. I usually slide next door to the boba spot out of habit, but last week I tried one of Hiccups’ own drinks — some kind of mango creation — and it was ridiculously good. Next time I’m locking in one of theirs for sure. If you want pho that’s consistent, authentic, flavor-packed, AND handled with care from the kitchen to your car, Hiccups is the spot. No misses. No complaints. Just straight-up GOOD FOOD.
Very good food🩷💜The food is portioned just right and is tasty. There’s a good selection of dishes to choose from and are reasonably priced. There’s pho is amazing and the protein selected is a good portion ; the bowl is nice sized to fill you up. There’s Vietnamese coffee is wonderful and reminds me of my mom’s… just strong enough to keep you going and enjoy your day.🩷I would recommend this place to everyone and there is a drink deal available.💜
The food was amazing, I don’t know what these people are talking about “no flavor” it’s bomb, and their coffee is amazing.
I always get the chicken fried rice! Sooo good!
Got my house coffee. Nice staff.

Got my house coffee. Nice staff.
If you haven’t tried it already, Hiccups is the spot! Great food and amazing service. My server, Andy, did not hesitate to help me have a wonderful experience. He provided excellent customer service, and when the food came out the flavor made it all the better! I highly recommend the brisket Pho, it’s savory and full of bold flavor.
I come here a couple times a week to study for a couple hours and it's pretty chill. Lots of outlets, tables and space. It's more of a sit down restaurant than a cafe, but from my experience they're fine with you just grabbing a coffee and chilling. Food options are solid and prices are pretty standard. Coffee options are a bit sweet for my taste, but that's more of a me problem. Service is always quick and friendly. If you need somewhere to study close to CSULB this is one of your better options.
Had Chicken Pho here and it was good. The place was clean and employees were kind and respectful.
10+ 🌟s. First time we came here we weren't sure what to expect becauae we had been to previous pho places and none hit the spot, too salty or tasteless. Well that was a while ago and we keep coming back for more. Specially on a rainy day its just amazing. Its not overwhelming its just right. The drinks are great too, we just tried the cocunut taro and if you like that roasted nutty taste then thats the drink for you. My favorite is the chamoy mango and my sister's the ice coffe, it actually tastes like coffe, not water and ice. I can keep going on and on about how great this place is so I'm just going to say you need to try it yourself. Oh and to top.it all off, the customer service is amazing which makes eating here even better.
I got the Pho brisket, which was great! I asked about it when ordering and the staff were very nice when answering my questions. I also got the Thai tea w/boba, it is your typical Thai tea, you won’t be disappointed, but also not impressed. The boba itself is smaller than expected, but the texture is good so no complaints overall. I’m looking forward to trying more flavors and dishes.
This place replaced Pho and Crawfish. We actually liked the Pho from P&C. I was pleasantly surprised to find out the Pho here is even better. Cool thing about Hiccups over P&C is that they have tons of other dishes and drinks. The Pad Thai here is incredible, and I have tried every Thai place in Long Beach. The Pad see ew was also very good. Great addition to our neighborhood!!! We eat here at least once a week lol
Hiccups is the place to go ! Hiccups is a Vietnamese restaurant that impresses with its diverse menu, including pho, fried rice, garlic noodles, and teas with boba. The pho stands out with its aromatic broth, tender meat, and fresh herbs, offering a comforting and authentic taste. The fried rice is flavorful and well-balanced, while the garlic noodles are a deliciously savory and garlicky delight. Their boba teas, available in various flavors, are refreshing and come with perfectly chewy tapioca pearls. With a cozy atmosphere and attentive service, Hiccups is a fantastic spot for a satisfying meal.

We ordered several dishes and they were all amazing!! Love the staff and it’s a very chill in order atmosphere.

Very decent atmosphere with an adequate array of Asian dishes to savor your pallete. The food is decent, depends on what you order, overall good place for Asian flavors. Food came out in decent time amd customer service is great!
Food amount is very big and I can’t finish it all once. Very tasty and I like it.

I only drink their iced green and black tea, has been my favorite for years. Unfortunately I can't recommend the jasmine green tea here, it tastes literally of plastic instead of floral.

The coffee was ok but the cold foam on the top was extremely salty. About half way through, once the cold foam mixed in, it was impossible to drink. I wouldn’t recommend unless you want a salty coffee.

I come here every 2 weeks and the times i’ve came recently i’ve been helped by this woman named ‘May’. The first time I saw her she was also very rude to me but after today’s service I don’t know if I will be coming back. When I walked up to the registered we were not greeted with a “Hi Welcome” or even a smile. We had asked to order 2 horchata milk teas with light ice, whipped cream and boba. This is our usual order but today we wanted to try something new, so we tried the Beef and Broccoli plate with rice. When I had asked for a “Mongolian Beef plate with the broccoli and rice”, she had told me “We don’t have a plate like that.” I had to pull up the app and show her and she still was insistent/stuck on the fact I had said “Mongolian beef” that she disregarded everything else I had said and once again said “ We don’t have a plate like that”. Once we had got on the same page, she was saying under her breath “God calm down”. I had let that go and paid. The other girl she was working with was polite. The other girl she was working with came and dropped off the 2 horchata milk teas. They didn’t have any boba, cinnamon sprinkle, or caramel. I had asked her if she could please put cinnamon on top because that how it usually comes. I had also noticed there was no boba, so I asked if she could also please add boba because that was what I had ordered. She said yes no problem, but she has also said that May did not charge me for boba. I had went up to the register and asked the woman so was helping me if she could also put caramel please. May had interrupted our conversation and said “You need to take a chill pill, you need to relax”. This took me by SHOCK. The fact that she was already being extremely rude, typed in the order incorrectly, and talking back. I had told her, “Please don’t speak to me like that”, she proceeded to go back and fourth with me. When I had asked for her name I couldn’t hear her the first time because she was mumbling so I asked her if she could say it to me one more time, she then told me “May like the month may” in a very aggressive tone. When she had dropped off the Beef Plate I had asked her if there was a manager on duty I could speak with, she had said her manager was out of town and would return Monday. I had reiterated it to make sure to come back on the right day, and she said “Yes like I had already told you, he will be here Monday”. I was very disappointed and dissatisfied with the service I received today, considering that I believe the manager she is referring to always gives me excellent above and beyond service. I will be back to talk to her manager about this unacceptable behavior she has towards the paying customers that come in and keep this restaurant open. Not a smile in sight or any hospitality skills. I hope this gets correct so she doesn’t continue to treat customers like this.
Was craving pad Thai late at night and decided to go here for a quick pick up order. I had a free drink with entree deal from their FB account so I figured I’d take advantage of it. Well the food took over 10mins (not too bad) even though I was told 5, no more than 10mins. Total came out to be $18.90 + tax just for a tofu pad Thai with a (free) drink. It was a decent amount of food but it was overly salty while lacking in authentic flavors (see attached pic). I was disappointed to say the least. Should’ve gone to a real Thai restaurant at that price point. Needless to say, I will not be returning.

i had to have been unlucky—there's no way that vietnamese coffee was normal, it tasted overly pungent with a hella sharp aftertaste from this tart, acidic tang. it just didn't sit well and had to toss the thing halfway; the staff was great though, so i'm hoping i just caught a bad batch.

Sorry… no for the coffee. Maybe food next time.
I ordered the shrimp garlic noodles, it didn't have any flavor to it there was no garlic about those noodles and the shrimp was also without seasoning. Very dissatisfied with the greasy noodles.
