My husband and I went on a Friday after a long week. Our bar tender was awesome. Victoria Castillo kept our drinks full while we ate our appetizers and danced. We will definitely be back.

Our bartender Victoria was excellent! She was quick and her drinks were fantastic!! Went back several more times and Victoria C took care of us. Service was excellent as always!!

I got the California Chicken today and it was very tasty. The chicken was juicy and cooked just right. It came with a house salad and one other side. I ordered the roasted veggies which was $1 more, but was worth it. Enjoyed every bite!😋 My hubby ordered the chicken fajitaladas and he said they were very good!

The restaurant was full, but our waiter was efficient and took our orders and quickly brought our appetizers!! The food was great and everything was delicious!! Love this place!! Definitely going back next time we are visiting Lubbock TX!!

Delicious bar food/comfort food, and a very entertaining place with pool tables huge bar and games to entertain all ages. Thanks to the very nice Hispanic woman behind the bar who made a computer crash look like no big deal and handled it with ease.

Love the food and the service is always nice. If you're not a huge fan of smoking, though, I'd ask for a spot away from the bar. Otherwise never had any issues.

We had tons of fun. Our whole family went we have a Lil boy w/cerebal palsy and my grandma she is a handful. They treated us just like family the manager had known my girlfriend for years they r all awesome people. You can play pool for free is really laid back and during lunch hour they have a really good buffet. Food was great like always.

Third time here and it's been great so far. Love the music they play, Vegas bombs and Mexican candy shots are the best I've had. Had Antonia as my server twice and service has always been good!

Despite the shady location, I've never had a problem with Copper. It's always been great food, service, and atmosphere. Plus each booth has its own personal tv. Complimentary chips/salsa make the visit even better. They have a great lunch buffet during the week, great food on the menu too. I've been coming here for a few years now and will definitely continue to keep coming back for more.

Love this place! We happened upon it in our way out of town the waitress was the best! The food was so good, we waited a while to get our food but they were really busy and graciously allowed us to sit and eat in the bar area instead of waiting out front which contributed to longer wait for the food.

We went gor lunch later in today and was shocked at how well hidden the place was. Fantastic food and tremendous service. We could have sat there all afternoon enjoying the art on the walls and just wandering around. We will be back!

Small little restraunt (IMO) wonderful little buffet. I mainly had the enchiladas, DIY Fajitas and Tacos. Careful, at least that day all the enchiladas were chicken. They were great, but usually, with a red sauce, it goes on beef. I am told there is another location that is more family friendly with small game room for kids, while this location was part bar.

This place is awesome. Two separate bar areas. Smoking area has pool tables and a juke box, non smoking area has a U shaped bar, gaming area for kids, and best of all, the restaurant seating is away from the kids and the games so no extreme uproar while you’re chowing down one of their delicious steaks. Daily drink specials as well but everything seemed to be reasonably priced anyways.

If you're not a fan of cigarette smoke eat in the restaurant. I didn't mind it but in the bar area it can be heavy when it's packed. Good spot tho for drinks and food. Bartenders could check on non-regular customers a little more often tho Carne guisada is a must try.

Has been a favorite for many years. The food is always really good and the portions are big enough to fill you up. The service always comes with smiles and prices are reasonable By the way... The Del Rio Chicken is so good.

Waitress Jillian was very nice and offered great service. Chips and salsa were tasty. Ordered a couple of appetizers; the fried mushrooms and the spicy breaded cheese curds. The mushrooms were really good, my husband thought the curds had a good kick and kept eating them I really enjoyed them as well. Main courses were the create your own combos. Rice and beans were delicious. Husband enjoyed his sauce less enchiladas (don't ask) and I got the sour cream chicken enchilada and chicken chile relleno which were petty good. Overall a great experience, would highly recommend visiting. I have been informed that I didn't even get the full experience because we did not play any games nor any drinks from the bar, per my husband.

Jocelynn our server was absolutely great. She always made sure our cups were full and our needs met. Had a positive attitude made us feel like she really wanted to serve us which I really appreciate. SHE DESERVES A RAISE!! PLEASE!!

Went with friends to play a few rounds of pool and this place was very chill and relaxing to hangout and have some fun! Chips and Salad where on point plus our waitress was extremely friendly and nice! Love it here so far!

Great Mexican American food restaurant. The interior has some character with pool available to play. Food from the fried pickles, enchilada plate and dessert was all fantastic. The pretzel brownie sundae was interestingly delicious. Be back on a future visit.

Great place to hang out with friends to play pool and have a few drinks, but it's also fantastic Mexican food. Door Dashers were waiting in line to pick up orders and the kitchen stays busy. Our bartender was excellent, she kept an eye on us and brought the next round promptly. Great atmosphere in the restaurant and the Game room. Everybody was really nice. I had heard some bad rumours before we went, but none of them were valid by my experience there.

It’s so hard to find a good bartender these days and I am always satisfied with Naomi she is super sweet and always smiling. I come regularly and she never forgets what I want to drink and I don’t have to wait around to be helped. Great atmosphere and great people. Absolutely love this location.

Great food and service. The place could use some updating, though. The restrooms were low on supplies but clean. The booths in the smoking area need to be reupholstered and signage could be replaced.

Waitress was wonderful.! Good great! Prices were reasonable. Dry atmosphere dry dry each booth gets own tv to watch while eating.

Did not order food but other patrons I spoke with were satisfied. Bottle beer prices are above normal. Atmosphere is okay.

The food is solid, epecially the lunch buffet. Great food and a reasonable price. Staff are generally friendly and the general manager takes care of business if/when issues arise. Great place for food, a drink, or shooting some pool.

We sat at the bar and had dinner on a very windy Sunday night. The bartender and bar back were nice personable, and helpful. We both ordered fajitalatas, it is the meat of a fajita in a burrito. D-licious! Had a very pleasant time and chatted with some locals. All in all really a 4.5 out of 5.

The food was great, I had chimichanga and it was huge. My husband enjoys that they served pitcher beer. The kids loved it as well. The open space allowed my kids to be kids without bothering any other customers.

Our Waiter, Matthew, was very attentive and provided excellent service.

I enjoy their lunch buffet , eat a bit of everything, spicy or just plain, really great food.

I have always had a good experience eating at the 50th Street Caboose. It is one of the few establishments you can find good service in, which is very refreshing. I especially like that there is no smoking in the restaurant and the bar area is completely closed off so you don't get the cigarette odor when you eat your food. The food has always tasted fresh and the portion sizes on most items are very generous. This is one place I don't mind returning to over and over again.

The atmosphere is the way I like it/very clean/quite/service was quick. My company took the cake literally bc was his birthday "51" he received a shot of Tequila and it all was my treat for my little Carnal. Thanks Copper for being there...

The food and drinks were good.. it always is.. It did take about 6 minutes to get asked what we wanted to drink and another to get them. my waitress could have been having a rough day. Now.. I work part time as a server myself.. so I feel I give good service.. not once did she come back to see if we needed refills. We didn't even get silverware.. I seen another server rolling and requested a fork from her. I did over hear our waitress say she had a big table and that they left her a .75 tip . I understand that it is upsetting but the whole time she was sitting across from us, she did not ask if we needed anything.. someone else had to get my kids refills.. and I didnt even get to get another drink myself. Mind you again that I have a part time job as a server so I understand the frustrations but it's also my choice to work in this business.. you either make the best out of it, or go home.. if those people got the same service that we did. Being a bigger group.. I would understand why them as the group would be upset. It was just 3 of us and wasnt that busy either.. aside that.. cooper is a great place to eat. I will continue to come.. this was the first time ever that I had a bad experience.

Food was good. Buffet didn’t have many options, if you don’t like spicy foods. The grilled chicken was exceptional and the best thing on the Buffet. The Staff was accommodating . Atmosphere was nice

Overall experience was good. Being that they were short on staff, I believe that they did good for a table of 10. Food was good, service was good, and it was roomy for the size table we had. Would recommend this location if you are in need of a place to accommodate a group table. Thanks Copper for trying your best. Great job! Order was correct and server checked on us in timely manner and was patient.

Upon arrival, we were greeted with a smile and have to say very well taken care of. Our waitress, freaking awesome!!!! We ordered chile relleno with a side of Mexican papas for my wife and a plate of enchiladas also with a side of Mexican papas and mac&cheese for myself. They were very well tasting with a small kick of spiciness but I could not finish them as I hardly eat spicy food but the taste was great! The service was awesome and I would definitely go back to this establishment if I am ever back in this town.

Stopped in Lubbock for the night and ate at Cooper's. Reviewing this for what it is, a local bar and grill. Don't come expecting 5-star dining but still worth the visit. Pros - friendly staff, cool locals environment, meal is priced right, cheap drinks, bar has tons of pool tables, fast serviceice, overall friendly joint. Cons- in a shady part of town, food was just ok, beer selection was subpar. Overall enjoyable stop that supported a local business.

This use to be our go to place for lunch and weekend dining but it's gone downhill the last few times we've been. The servers take a very long time to get to your table and when they finally do you'll maybe see them once afterwards. The food use to be SOOOO good but the last few times we've been it tasted tasteless and bland. I'm hoping we just went on bad days because we really enjoyed going here!

I was eating the buffet on Friday on 10/11 I got the chicken enchiladas and Mexican rice half way through the meal I found a little black bug crawling in my rice. I immediately notified the manager and took the meal off the bill. Other than that it was alright.

This is one of the few places that actually hand breads their food. Best chicken fried steak on Lubbock. They would get a higher rating, but I won't swing here during the evening. They have to do a better job of keeping the riff Raff out of here. Too many recreational transactions are made here.

Food is not tasty like it used to be, the portions have gotten really small. Especially the Cincos atmosphere not as full as it used to be.

Stopped in while driving through lubbock. Got seated pretty quick. Food was bland, macaroni tasted microwaved kraft. The plates that came didn't match the descriptions on the menu, in fact my wife's plate didn't match anything on the menue... once food was at the table, were completely ignored by staff....

Food was good, atmosphere was fun. A little disruptive with the noise of the bar overflowing into the dining room. Waitress could have been a little more "friendly", this being Lubbock and all, to us obvious first timers.

Usually good but last 3 times I went service was not very good. We were sat down then other people sat down after us were getting drinks and chips and salsa before us. It's like they didnt notice us. Kind of annoying cause we always go there. But food was good.

Service was fantastic by the bar!! The servers were Absolutly awful though. The food was great!!! Just the servers need improvement. The table ordered 3 margaritas on the rocks and one frozen and it was a hard order.... I ordered the Beef Fajitas and they were delish!

Order take out . Go to pick up and no one ever put the order in and no one even knew what it was I ordered. I will say they made it rite without me even asking .👍I got home and there was no salsa with my chips so I had to drive back and they said they had no salsa 👎 but I will go back and give them a second shot at it

Everything was good, until the waitress took my order. I told her what i wanted to eat. She didn't ask me if i wanted something to drink for my table or from the bar. Soon after, she brought my food (a burger) but didn't leave or bring me any napkins. She didn't come back to see if i needed anything. I had to wave her over just to get napkins & a glass of water. The food was phenomenal. The waitress blew it.

I've never had a problem actually going in and sitting down but forget trying to call in an order now that they're no longer suffering due to COVID. After a rude 30 seconds of making sure I was calling the right one, I was put on hold... for ten minutes. Actually it was a lot longer. I had to take another call so I switched lines. When I switched back... I was still on hold! So I hung up and took my business elsewhere. What a shame.

Food lacked flavor.. Very bland!! Margaritas didn't taste like any noticeable alcohol in them. Small portion of food for the amount charged. Fight started in pool table area and entire staff went over to watch including waitress. However I did like the personal TV in each booth so customers can whatever they want(just ask host for remote).

The food was great, the server not so much. There were three of. She brought the wrong beer for one person, she took 15 minutes to deliver the other person's drink, we asked for more chips but they were never delivered, she mixed up a plate and forgot to bring out the rice, we asked for extra guacamole and that was never delivered either. I don't know if she was a new server or not. Unfortunately this is not the first time that we have dealt with bad service at this location. We went in here one time and waited 20 minutes. We never saw a waitress we never saw a menu. Needless to say, we left and went somewhere else.

Bad crowds only show up here. The restaurant always smells like smoke because the bar and game room doesn't have a divider. The employees need social support as they talk to people in a unpleasant manner. Even at the bar area, you'll be judged on if you're a profit or not. The bartenders will just completely ignore you, if they feel you're not going to be worth their time. So with lack of attention to select customers, it's no wonder why this location is failing. I wouldn't ever go back here again. Because at the end of the day you're just nobody unless you PAY for attention. So have your money in hand and make sure to wave it in the air, so you can BUY Customer service.

Grew up in area...CC was awesome.. saw another location on Ave Q. Thought it would be ok. Wrong... ordered fajitas.... were not good... the fajita skillet was so hot the vegetables burnt in front of me. There was enough meat for 2 ... very old tortillas... but everything tasted burnt.

We waited over an hour for our fajitas while 5 tables around us that arrived after us received their food and left...finally asked what the hold up was and were told it takes chicken fajitas longer to cook lol. The truth was he forgot to place our order which I would have been ok with had he been honest...we paid for our drinks and appetizers. Received a half hearted apology. Left and went to another restaurant for dinner. I was very very disappointed.

We eat at Copper regularly, but this evening had the worst service. We waited 15 mins and still were not helped so we left. It was not crazy busy which I always take into consideration. We will stick to Copper on Slide!!

Had the buffet and I was very disappointed.. it was almost 1 and the food was cold and hard, the floor was dirty, our waiter had to keep being called to our table as he didn't come and check up on us.. this was our first time and I was not impressed

Went to Copper today for lunch ive been going for years thier...as soon as we picked a table a guy welcomed us then introduced us to our waitress...She had a look on her face like she wasnt happy to be at work..Anyways she gave us some menus and threw them on the table and we never seen her again..another waitress asked what we wanted to drink and it took like 15minutes to get my daughter her drink it was cisco cocanut drink...they came back with a orange drink and me and my other daughter and grandsons didnt have drinks..still waiting for our waitress....then the manager brings us our chips and salsa and still no drinks..we decided we all wanted the buffet..when were almost finished eatting the waitress comes and says that her manager is in her case because he tells her to charge us for my 2 year old and 1 year old grandson $6.99 for the buffet..my daughter says fine bring me my ticket...and thier barely bringing my grandsons thier drinks when were fixing to leave..very poor service ..i will never go back again. They ask me to rated i gave it one star for the guy that greeted us...nowhere in Lubbock Tx do they charge for a 1 and 2 year old ...This manager the short one has very bad attitude...lost a loyal customer.

The only saving grace for this place was the food and drinks when you could get them. The staff is super rude. I think they only cater to men. If you're a female, expect to wait a long time before being acknowledged and served. The food was delicious but the waiter was just as rude. I don't think any of these people wanted to be working. I don't recommend this place at all

Went to go buy NACHOS to go and waited about 45 minutes. After waiting 10 minutes without being helped at the bar to place my order. There were no customers or I'd understand. She was just washing dishes instead of even acknowledging me. So I asked another server who was just on her phone. Bartender never went to check on my food someone came out with a to go bag then took it back into the kitchen without even asking me if it was for me. I finally stop an employee to ask for a manager and he says he is so I explain what happened and he says "oh that was your order I thought it was one of our employees. He never apologized and acted like it was okay. They bring it out and it is cold as you can imagine. Nachos literally take no more than 10 minutes. Very unsatisfied. Paid 25$ for COLD FOOD, HORRIBLE SERVICE AND A WASTE OF TIME!!!

I don't like smoke in a restaurant. It was smokey in this one and so we smelled it while we waited for our takeout order. I would not go there again. I also don't drink alcohol, so someone who does might like this place better than I did. The food was ok and the service was very good.

I have been going there for years, almost weekly. The past couple months have gone downhill, both quality and service. Tonight I took my mom out to dinner and had a terrible experience. We were seated and after 15 min received the water. At 30 minutes I went to the register to ask for a waitress because no one took our order and we had still not gotten any chips and salsa. She then came and took our order, but still no chips and salsa. Finally I went to the register to ask for chips a third time, then she brought them. After another 29 minutes, we finally got our food and it was not right. I asked for the manager and asked for it to go since we had already waited over an hour. The manager acted like she could care less. She told me that my order was free. I did not come there for free food, I came to enjoy a evening dinner with my mon.....so much for that ideq! I am not sure I will be back!

The food wasn’t the best it was mildly cold the service was nice but only from some of the servers, my biggest complaint was the a piece of the ceiling tiles was cracking and small fragments of the tile was coming off and landed in my food. Please update the buildings structure.

This place used to be great to go to but now it's sad- yes the location off Ave Q. It's run down, dirty, and not as friendly as it used to be. Food isn't as good as it used to be, in fact it made my husband & myself sick. Service is bad, they take your order & dissappear. Asked for a remote at the beginning of our visit, never got it or an excuse. Just ignored the rest of the night. Had to track down the waitress to cash out because she wouldn't come back.

How we spend so much money through door dash and didn’t even receive what we ordered and for 20.00 plates we’re like kid size portions. Always missing our house salads and dressings

Came in to copper expecting a OK experience. Wasn't expecting top a service. Had a wait. No big deal kids played games. We had fun. Got seated with one menu. Party of 3 and a 6 yr old. Again no big deal. No chips and salsa they are out of chips. OK we can wait. They said they are making more. Got another menu. Still 3 adults. Server came out right away Got our drinks. Put in the order. 20 min wait. Still no chips. We had ordered guac. No big deal. Then food came out all except my girlfriends. Almost done eating see manager. We saw chips go out to another table. Told him they haven't got our chips since we been there about 40 45 minutes in. And haven't got my girlfriends order. He says they are out of green sauce. No biggie just do sourcream. He says he will get it right out. Server comes out almost in tears saying she is about to walk out. Has asked the cooks for our order serveral times. I dont understand why the manager just didn't go get the chips to begin with.15min go by no chips, no order. Order finally comes out. A bust boy or cook brings it. At this point my girlfriend is furious about the server being yelled at for the kitchen mistake. Both myself and her have been in service industry. Me and the kids went to car. She said he never came out to speak to her. The server got yelled at again for asking him to comp our ticket. She paid tipped server and went to go find him. Guess he is the owners son. Told him how she felt. All he said was sorry you had a poor experience.Anyway just bad experience. Horrible management. I hope the owner sees this because obviously his son isn't cut out for the customer service industry. Won't be going back.

The bartender Naomi was so RUDE!! I was being as nice as possible and she treated me so ugly when I was sitting at the bar I’m not sure if it was a bad day or what but working in customer service I would think she wouldn’t treat people that way. Smh

We went for lunch for the first time. The waitress was new and our drinks/order took awhile. She was very polite and trying her best. The restaurant wasn't even busy. We did not appreciate seeing one of the workers making the tortillas; eating as he was making them. We also were given a broken glass from the bar. We notified the waitress and we heard her let the mgr. on duty know of the situation. He did nothing to make the situation right or show any concern over the broken glass.

We have gone here for years and it just gets worse. Tonight they brought our plates and my daughter seriously thought the plate was melting and it was someone gum. Nasty. My wings were not what i ordered. Again. 3x. And after being there 1 hr the waitress never came to ask if we were ok or needed a refill. She was to busy flirting with the guy at the other table. Sounds lame. But i got out of work to go enjoy my copper date with my 11yr old.

I’m very disappointed with my last experience that I actually walked out with my two cousins. We were never waited on. Plus, two young Hispanic girls told a waitress that they never took our drink order because they didn’t want to and they didn’t feel like it. So, a waitress that wasn’t even supposed to be in our area finally took our drink order after about 10 minutes. We never received our chips and salsa. But we were so frustrated with the entire experience we left. Me and my family have supported this restaurant for years, but if those two young ladies are still employed, I will not be returning anytime soon because I felt like it was a race thing.
