Gai N Rice is a clean, cute spot known for flavorful chicken and rice dishes. The Classic and Lean chicken are popular, with tender, juicy chicken breast and well-cooked rice. Some find the curry noodle spicy and portions small for the price.

Tip: The curry noodle is spicy, so be cautious if you're sensitive to heat. Crispy chicken may get soggy for takeout, better to eat there.

Kids friendly restaurant with great portions and prices. The food is excellent especially the flavorful curry rice. Crispy chicken and the chicken noodle soup is good option (not too salty) for young kid. Friendly staff and owner. Overall, we had great experience and will be back.
Been here a couple of times and have always had a great experience. I wanted to shout out Giodin for his exceptional service today - we were aiming to buy meals for 6 adults and I asked him to compare the individual meals with the party platter. He was super helpful and we ended up getting the platter for just a bit more, which helped save us some money and get more delicious chicken. Everybody enjoyed the chicken, which was tender and moist. Also shoutout to the crew who took the 8-person platter order at 11 AM and had it ready by 11:30 AM; really exceptional crew. Super happy to recommend them.
Pricey but high quality. Worth a visit for a good healthy meal. Bon appetite!
This is a very cute, clean location with quick fresh tasting chicken and rice dishes. We enjoyed all the main chicken dishes very much. We bought some soup, cucumber salad and Gyoza, but they were not as delicious as the main dishes.
One of the best restaurants I have been to in a while. 10/10 for the following items: Crizp meal, Thai iced tea, and mango sticky rice. Will be returning!
I got the Curry Noodle Gai with an extra side of chicken and the Charming Dumplings. The curry noodle was really good as it came with a good kick to it. Not too spicy but just right. The dumplings were tasty! To top it off, I got two drinks. Herbal Jelly, I think, and the other Iced Pink Milk? Both were sweet and refreshing, especially in this summer heat. Overall satisfied with the food, but the order took a good minute to come out and I felt like they forgot my order. Other than that, it wasn't the worse experience I've had.
First time trying Gai ‘N Rice and we love it at first time. We ordered Classic and Lean. The chicken breast is tender, juicy and flavorful. Their sauce are on point. The rice is cooked to perfect, not too dry. Their staffs are helpful and so friendly. The food served about 10 mins during lunchtime that is not too bad for me, personally.
This is a really good place for Asian food. Of course it's a niche type of food but delicious. If you don't like the food here's because you didn't order something that you would like. That is to say there's something that everyone should like here.
I ordered the Take 2 and both kinds of chicken were very tasty. The sauce was very good.
Amazing amazing chicken rice, they used to have another location but they moved here. Nice customer service and clean environment. Love their chicken rice with dark meat, love their sauce, highly recommend this location and will definitely be back!
The curry noodle is spicy 🔥 watch out Classic chicken was really yummy Crispy chicken was alright, but I think I'd like to try the basil chicken next instead. The breading got soggy by the time I got home, so maybe something better to eat there and not do for pick up. Take out packaging was great, It's right by the freeway, very easy for pick up
I ordered the Thai noodle soup. The chicken breast, and broth were hella clean. The chili oil that the bowl came with allowed for extra kick. It was pretty good for clean eating! The meal was served in a to go plate which was really convenient if you had extras to take home. Super nice clean spot! Workers were super nice too!

First time coming here! it was a great experience and everything inside was very cute and clean! my server was Tyler and he helped me decide on the charming Dumpings which were very good!
Great chiclen made many ways. Simple Asian food that satisfies your craving. It’s my go-to spot after visiting the Delta and environs. Love this place, which there was one closer up north on Sac proper.

Gai ’N Rice is a new Thai spot that feels more like a take-out place than a sit-down restaurant. The rice is well cooked and flavorful, but the chicken texture was a letdown—it’s overly soft in a way that doesn’t work well for Asian dishes. The fermented soybean and ginger sauce, however, is excellent and easily the highlight of the meal. I was shocked by the price of the mango sticky rice—$9 for a small cup feels way overpriced, even though the sticky rice itself is very good. There’s plenty of parking, which makes picking up food convenient. The staff is friendly and welcoming, which helps the overall experience. Decent food with some strong points, but pricing and texture issues hold it back.
Overall, the foods, services, and atmosphere is good and ok. Food portions is small considering paying $15 plus tips. But is ok to try again.
Opening day, this place was busy. Came just before 7pm which is closing time for them. Free Thai Tea with order. Will they keep that up in the future? Doubt it, but you never know. Got the Gang Gai which is yellow curry with chicken. It was exceptionally spicy. I got an extra chicken thigh for $6, a bit high if you ask me. The rice was great. (If the owner sees this, you need more rice with the curry. The amount given is nowhere near enough and the trash cans outside your store overflows quickly so you might want to keep an eye on that.) Outside of that service was friendly. Food was great tasting. I will definitely go again when it's not as busy.
Went for takeout, food was packaged well, shared with friends who tried everything mixed their own way, results were great, everything was tasty, and the sauces and broth added a nice flavor experience.

This was my 1st time eating here. After reading lots of reviews I had high hopes. We ordered the Crizp dish and specifically asked for no cilantro but still had cilantro. I think the rice was the best part. The chicken lacked flavor and some parts of the breeding wasn't cooked and was still mushy (I'll spare you the photo). Overall don't feel there's a need to return.

Ordered two classic plates and they were okay however our order was forgotten. We came in around 3pm and there was only 1 other person who was eating in the restaurant. We waited over 30mins before going up to ask about the status of our orders and the front lady said "oh sorry we're still working on it" and then you can hear them actually start on it... never returning again.
