Opiniones de Mary's Coffee Shop Brooklyn
excellent service with extremely affordable prices and I say this as someone who think a $5 bacon egg and cheese deli sandwich is too expensive and should be $3.50 or $4 at most
A very nice neighbourhood breakfast place. Good pancakes, friendly staff and cheap too. Recommended!
Sticks out in my memory as a wonderful experience. Tiny diner, suuuper cheap, incredibly warm staff. Felt like a small miracle that it exists.
Phenomenal, just like grandma made. Best breakfast in Brooklyn. Super affordable. Coming here weekly from now on
VERY FRIENDLY STAFF . I ENJOY MY BREAKFAST.. EAT IN OR TAKEOUT DELIVERY EITHER CHOICE IS GOOD AND I LIKE THE TRIFE SOUPS..
Love this place. Every time I'm in the area got to stop in for s local bite. Always tasty and the right price.
I’ve been coming here for years. The food is always fresh and the service is fast. The people that work here are all so nice. This is my go to coffee shop.

The atmosphere is great it fits the urban neighborhood it is in. I come here all the time for their pancakes obviously cause I love it . I can't see myself ever NOT coming here, I'm treated like familia :)

Great food and clean. Also have friendly personalities
The food is amazing! In my opinion this is the spot of breakfast culture, there is diverse variety of dishes. it's cozy and intimate for dates or brunches.
Will always love Elisa, originally on the corner of myrtle and throop. Breakfast, lunch, dinner are all A+. Get a half and half with a hamburger deluxe. DELICIOUSNESS!
10/10 breakfast. so tasty. haven’t been here for lunch but looking forward.
I've been going to Mary's coffee shop for years, the food is always good, the service is always nice.
First time going. Love the atmosphere and the server. Everyone was so nice and food was great.
My favorite place to grab breakfast before a soccer game. It's small and always busy because the food is so good. Also cash only
Come her about once a month...the staff is friendly and nice...and the food is always good..at the breakfast is, I've never been her at any other time.
12$ for an amazing omelet and potatoes, a nice coffee, avena which is something my girlfriend goes nuts for, and a donut that was amazing for wrapped on the counter. The service was really nice
ive gone to mary’s countless times in my life and have never been disappointed. cheap delicious food and good coffee. the cuban sandwich is a must try.
I loved the food, I tried the breakfast menu and everything were great, great service and fast delivery
The breakfast was really good. They been in business for along time. Now I see why, GREAT SERVICE!
My new favorite spot! The food is delicious! I orders pancakes with eggs and corn beef hash. When I received the food, it was still warm, they provided butter and syrups and I didn’t have to wait long! I can’t wait to order from them again!
Cool little local spot. Small diner style interior with counter seating and a few booths. The food is good, So far only been there for breakfast, but their omelettes with home fries and grits and toast and bottomless coffee goes a long way. People are chatty with their friends or family. Staff are friendly, busy and fairly cheerful. Just a proper diner.
Really great prices on delicious food - the service was outstanding, and I wish I could give it another five star review. I had a sandwich and a cocoa, my friend had the burger and fries and we were both really delighted - we’ll be back soon!
This is pretty convenient place, staff is warm and welcoming, they’re fast even tho they have a lot of to-go orders, you can tell, the food is good, the price is right, is a cozy space because is small but they have the breakfast that you need, not fancy, not exaggerated, just home style and I love that. The plates are filling, so what else can you ask for?
I always order off GrubHub/doordash never disappoint I get the beef bacon with the waffle along side with the best half/half and when I say everything 10/10 no cap I mean it
Ordered online. Took my order quickly it was delivered hot and ontime. Food was tasty. It's my go to spot for breakfast when I'm in Brooklyn. Reliable service
Cozy with excellent food, amazing service, worth every second I had to wait, they custom made my order without hesitation. Congratulations to the new management.
Amazing when people give out feedback always except it and willing to do it over, Food is very good and fresh, overall, my experience was amazing
This cousiey place gives a welcoming experience . plus great food & low price what else can we ask for. It says coffee shop but with a huge menu. I love everything here my favorite spot in this neighborhood
Very local place. We had a good solid breakfast before going exploring downtown. Nice and quick service.
Straightforward diner - the kind I love that serves home cooked breakfast and hot coffee with a laid back atmosphere. Decent food and friendly staff.
Mary's is the only breakfast in Brooklyn that suits my taste buds. I am a from NY but I live in VA. My first stop everytime is at Mary's!!!! Customer service is great. Food is always piping hot & served promptly & is delicious too. It's nice to sit in as it feels like breakfast at your moms house! Please suppory local businesses. Gracias!!!
Always on point with my orders, But they should really work on their attitudes and condensing ways of speaking to people. It's like they choose who to be nice too. I won't be coming back or ordering from here anymore.
they always call me Papi here and it makes me feel like royalty. what a rush!
Amazing neighbour coffee spot. Really friendly and attentive staff. Food was spot on too.
Busy local diner with no fuss serving breakfast all day. Great prices and friendly staff. Skip the fancy brunch and come to the neighborhood spot. Best place for a quick breakfast in Bed Stuy without a doubt
Updated: Food and service is still five stars as always. The last time I dined in I was a bit shocked to see it packed out with a young hip crowd. Bed Stuy is changing fast with so many new buildings and developments going up so I’m not completely surprised. While gentrification is inevitable, it’s still painful to watch as there is displacement happening in the process… but I digress. My hope is that those new to the community treat local businesses like Mary’s well, with respect and without entitlement. Previous review: I really enjoy getting breakfast here. Mary’s is such a neighborhood staple. I usually get the sausage, eggs, and grits (comes with toast) and always leave happy and full. Service is friendly and prices are fair. They recently renovated the small dining area which is nice to see as well.
I haven’t left a review in a while but this compelled me to do so. It was absolutely delicious and inexpensive. I had a breakfast omelet and home fries. Home fries were crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. Very generous with the omelet. Plus toast and tea or coffee for under $10. I see why people keep coming back here. Doesn’t hurt that the waitress is easy on the eyes, too :)
“Loved this place. The sandwiches were delicious and the coffee was great. Everything was super fresh. I’ll definitely be back.” — Carlos M.
great place. better quality pancakes than most diners around here, great cubano, stews are good too. prices are right and there is a lot of care put into the food and presentation. mary’s has something for everybody
Greatest burgers ever. French toast and bacon is the best breakfast I've tasted in a long time. All the food tastes homemade and they make it exactly how you want, while paying attention to detail. Prices are great Nothing is expensive but it tastes like it should be. I would recommend this place to all
Great food, prices and staff! I had the western omelette with a side of bacon. All were delicious. The coffee comes in a big mug too.
Good breakfast spot. “A” rating! Food was hot and coffee was fresh. The ladies working behind the counter were amazing. Very nice spot!
Absolutely delicious food at a great price. Even though they were super busy, the service was great and fast. They even found a way to make room for us. I got the two eggs any style with hashbrowns and corn beef hash. It was amazing. In total for a very large meal I spent about $15. I will be coming back.
All of the food I have had here has been tasty, and the service is exceptional! Staff is friendly and definetly a spot!
“Great spot for a classic American breakfast. Eggs, toast, bacon—everything was perfectly cooked and served hot. Super friendly staff too!” — hernan
Great coffee, tasty breakfast, and really good service. It’s a small place but super cozy. I stop by whenever I can.
This place is so cozy and super old school. The food is great and pricing is fair. Others have already mentioned it but the location is small, only a few tables, but that's never been an issue for myself. Walking inside makes you feel nostalgic. Definitely worth a visit if you're craving some breakfast food. :) The oatmeal is SURPRISINGLY SO GOOD! For the super low price you have to try it!! It's deceptive because it's tucked away on the sides portion menu so you don't expect it to be so sweet and tasty.
Delicious, filling, great value, and welcoming service. What more can you ask for? Everything you see on the table was only fifteen dollars. Thats with 2 coffee refills. You simply can’t beat that. If you are in the mood for some quick and homestyle breakfast, then this is the place for you. Highly recommend their pancakes, eggs, and coffee. Make sure to order extra bacon.
Extremely busy, but the breakfast and food is amazing. Small gem within the community for sure... ENJOY😁
Very diner-y feel, satisfying food and it’s cheap! Honestly I really wanna give them 5 starts, but God they’re slow
In the years since we've moved from the area, Mary's continues to be the point of reference my friend and I use for breakfast. In a later neighborhood we found a pretty good cafe, with roughly similar breakfast -- though not quite as satisfying -- offerings, and we took to calling that place "Fake Mary's." Every now and then when I make an acceptable egg-and-cheese sandwich, she compliments me: "Mm, almost as good as Fake Mary's." But why settle for Fake Mary's when you can have the original? They deliver! Only real downsides: it seems like they're never open when you want them to be; and like most restaurants in the area it's not really a place you go to. Take out, delivery; it's all good. It's all about the food, not the atmosphere.
Food was excellent and the waitress was very friendly just the service could have been a lil faster but they were very busy definitely worth it
Food is good. I only buy breakfast here. I love they eggs and grit. Prices is just right for $4.50 i het a lot of food
The Best place to have Breakfast at any time of the day!! The oatmeal is one of my Favorites for Breakfast!! The customer Service is very good i love there.
Their prices are going up. We had breakfast for four, $65...
Nice dinner, you can eat in but it's not that many tables, small place. I only had breakfast here, breakfast is good
Never really get up for breakfast but I did a few days ago and let me tell u I was happy I did. Food was good and filling. Wait staff was nice.
I work nearby so I have eaten here for a couple of years. The breakfast is great, the lunch options are great and the food is good (it was better under the old owners, hence 4 stars instead of 5) But the service is always top notch. I highly recommend.
The food is good not awesome.. I've only had breakfast though. It's very small but 5 tables but that doesn't bother me. I sit by myself. The people are very nice. And it's old school and clean. The neighborhood is ok as well. I usually go Sunday morning.I try and treat myself every Sunday. The alone time is awesome. Definitely recommend they have a bathroom, a counter or table as option to sit down
Really nice cozy place. I can’t recommend it for a first date but I loved the mom and pop feel. Food came out quickly and you can tell it was made with TLC. Breakfast food is in abundance. Portions are great for the cheap price. Hand sanitizer on deck. They do check for “proof of vaccination” if you want to dine in, heads up.
This small neighborhood café serves Latin American–style food (I’m not entirely sure from which region), but what stands out is how fresh everything tastes. I’ve been here twice so far. My first visit was for morning coffee and a quick breakfast. The coffee was decent, and I ordered eggs, salami, and pancakes to go. The eggs were scrambled and cooked a bit on the well-done side, the pancakes were fine, but the salami was missing from my order—which I didn’t go back to correct. My husband, however, raved about his lunch here, calling it one of the best meals he’d had in a long time. That brought us back the next day for lunch together. We tried their rice combo meals: white rice with stewed beans, plus a choice of meat. He had a chicken dish cooked with spices in a curry-like style—flavorful, aromatic, and not overly spicy. I went with pork chops, which were tasty but a little greasy and over-fried, making them slightly tough. My husband also mentioned the pork stew he had on an earlier visit was excellent. We added a fresh salad, though it wasn’t quite as crisp as I’d hoped. This is a tiny, family-run café, so don’t expect polished service, but they put a lot of effort into what they do. The food is fresh, hearty, and flavorful—especially the chicken and pork dishes. I’ll definitely return for those again.
Neighborhood Coffee shop that caters to local clientele. They have ‘Breakfast All Day’ and some really good options for Lunch and more, a pretty diverse menu with lots of Choice that are Central and South American. Ordered a Spanish Omelette with Hot Sausage on the side and Wheat Toast. REALLY GOOD and filling / hearty. This isn’t the type of place You go to for Ambience but for the good food and cooking. Service was good and they were polite and kind. Definitely coming back here to try some more breakfast options…
Was going through Google to find a good breakfast place in brooklyn area and stumbled upon Mary's coffee shop and ordered the breakfast burrito plus waffles with beef bacon and let me tell you since I arrived in NYC this was my first good experience food wise, everything tasted fresh and was actually great, a place I can definitely come back to again to try something else. Totally recommended!!!
The food is Great but sometimes the order Service is lousey. Phone busy for a very long time due to the order person being on a personal call. They need 2 separate phone lines... One for business and one for personal. That's a huge turn off!!!
Small business. Friendly staff. Good food. Reasonable priced. Surrounding neighborhood not good.
The food is good , but they have some really rude workers and for that I will not spend my money there anymore
I call often from this place the staff is friendly but truly need to have more workers. I'm often place on hold for a long period of times in order to place and order. Today they took 1 hr and 11 min to deliver my order. I called them back to check up on my order 45 min after I initially place my order was told it was being packed (I live 2 blocks from them) it still took them 26 min more to deliver to me. When the delivery guy came he didn't want to came up cause he had a bike so I was force to go down with my child to get my order. I was not please with my order nor was I please with the time frame. There's another Spanish place 2 stores down I might just have to go there from now on.
I will keep this consice. Under new ownership my review of this coffee shop has deteriored for various reasons. Hours, food taste, communication and price. Today's service was what motivated me to make this review. I sent my son, who is on the spectrum to pick up the order I called & made. He called me telling me the price for everything came up to $32 but he needed cash cuz there machine was not working to pay with a card. I sent him to take $40 from the atm. He picked up the order and returned home with. $1 and change. One of the items wasn't included and would have totalled $5or$6. The explanation that was 1st given was there was some fee included. Then they said they gave him a five dollar bill in change. I'm at the store now on the promise they would produce the tape that verifies one of their versions of the truth. Now they want me to come back tomorrow. I have seen them do this in the past to another patron. A discrepancy in the amount given for change. This is very distasteful. There is a much better Spanish restaurant on Broadway. It's across adjacent to the Popeyes restaurant and dunkin donuts. The taste is much better. The accommodation for seating as well. Next time I will walk the extra distance. I was just in pain today which is why I use Mary's as the alternative. I would rather use the Spanish restaurant next door to Mary's as the alternative. Very distasteful experience that's reoccurring.
Overpriced deli breakfast platters for about 20 dollars. I’d say stick to your local deli where you can grab the same exact thing for 10 dollars. I ain’t buying nothing here again.
Their food is great don’t get me wrong but their service sucks. Especially the lady answering the phone she’s the worst. Something is always wrong w my order, even though she makes me repeat myself like 5x over the phone & whenever I have a question about something it’s always no. I called beforehand to make sure my delivery guy had change. And he didn’t, there I was in my pjs where the delivery guy is saying no one told him anything & there I was running to the store on one of the coldest days :) so food is great HORRIBLE SERVICE. I’ve ate in person as well & the same lady answering the phone took years to com to my table mind you the place is so small it’s not like she didn’t see me.
The customer service sucks here. Food delivery time definitely sucks. Food good, though👍🏽
I just saw an employee cough in someone's food and packed it to go.. Thats why i just stick with the orange juice(Tropicana). Can anyone say french toast not sick toast. SmH
Horrible service !!!!! 45 mins for two tacos is unbelievable!
Waited over an hour for two waffles. Busy or not that’s unacceptable customer service.
Sat down and waited for my order to be taken. 3 white guys come in and immediately get served. I walked out and they where seated were I was sitting
Bad service paired with mediocre food. Place changed foods more expensive where the quality and amount went down. Wouldn’t go again.
The service was awful and not respectful at all. My order was made all wrong.
My family and I stopped here bc they had good reviews. I asked for my eggs well done and you would have thought it was the end of the world. The waitress took my order said no problem, the eggs came out runny and I had to send them back bc I’m pregnant. Another waitress said she understood, no problem she would get it fixed. Then I can hear the cook screaming from the kitchen about my “ridiculous” request and our original waitress acting like I never asked for them well done. Unbelievable. I wish we had left. Totally rude and obnoxious. If getting your eggs well done is an issue, they should tell you that when you order. Food wasn’t even good.
My 2nd day trying this food and it's so disgusting! The grits were burnt 2 days in a row the meat taste like yesterday's meat the bread tastes old and this is very disappointing! The donuts were not good AT all. Will never order from there again and I live in this neighborhood 32years this was so bad.
Lost its touch.. just to be real good an able back. Recently things aren’t the same. #BadEats
This place customer service is so rude , even when ordering over the phone . And very racist when they realize u don’t speak Spanish they’re very rude don’t want to take your order food is good but service is horrible.this happened plenty of times they need better people working DO NOT RECOMMEND
Food was unedible I live in the neighborhood and have been ordering from this establishment for years I have never had an experience like this with them . The omelette I ordered was burnt, the pancakes taste like they used literal cake mix how do you mess up a pancake so bad worst pancakes I have ever had I couldn’t even eat it. The grits were super watery towards the bottom in which my lady couldn’t even finish her platter I’m am super dissatisfied with this establishment. There was no care or effort put into a simplistic meal I want a full refund for this order this is was a terrible experience. DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE!!!!!
