Fabulous little neighborhood cafe. Coffee and drinks and vibe always wonderful. My favorites are americano(always strong enough), charcoal tea, iced matcha latte. My only minor notes- gluten free snacks are limited, and seats inside fill up early. That said, they just got umbrellas for outdoor seating, and I’m happy they’re busy :) Wifi for working too! Definitely stop by if you’re nearby!
This cafe is so special and beautiful. Gorgeous plants and the best coffee. They serve Devocion coffee- and for coffee nerds like me that's a big deal. Bought a very healthy plant from here too! The owner, Michael, is super knowledgable and passionate about plants, coffee and community. I just wish I lived closer!!
After running by a million times I finally stopped in. The nice staff, great music & plants made the best day even better. So thankful I stopped by. 11/10 vibes
Great coffee shop in Brooklyn! Good vibes, good music, relaxing with a minimalist decor, cool & stylish people there. Great service, the matcha was tasty. Best coffee shop in this area for sure!
We finally have a cafe in this area. I’ve visited here 4 times in 7 days already. Almond latte is my go to drink. The baristas are friendly and the space is beautifully designed. There’s seating for about 14. 3 small tables, 1 large community table and 2 high stools facing the front window. There are only a handful of outlets but the Wi-Fi is more than adequate.
I love the coffee here!! Service is so friendly and warm — Elena and Maria are so pleasant and helpful
I am addicted to this place. The seasonal drink - Banana Joe - I dream about it. I think about it DAILY. Their matcha is superb. You can’t go wrong. Fun flavors, great coffee.
I got their little miss Yuzu seasonal matcha drink and omg it was sooo good🙂↕️❤️🫶🏾 will definitely be coming back for that🙂↕️🙂↕️🙂↕️
I visit Botani Cafe almost everyday, the staff is extremely friendly and personable. The coffee is top tier and the pastries are lovely. This cafe has been a pleasant addition to the neighborhood. Keep up the great work guys.
I love this cafe. The atmosphere is wonderful and conducive to studying or relaxing, especially in the summer when the outdoor seating is available. Drinks are made well and the staff are mostly friendly. I wish more of a pastry selection would be offered - if you arrive later than 1 or 2, pastries are limited.
Loved the space since it opened. Great place for the doggies and people watching. Baristas have always been so kind and sweet to me and the owner too. Always the best vibes in here. Love you guys :*
I’m so happy that a coffee shop opened up on the corner. The staff are wonderful and always welcome. Everyone has a very low key/chill vibe as does the whole cafe. I love the aesthetics with its nod to earthen houses and organic architecture. There are some cool products being sold there, as well—from tarot candles, mushroom tinctures, and well design to go cups for a sustainable coffee run. It kind of reminds me of a Wicca store I used to go to in high school (in the best of ways). I mainly come in because my dog, Penny, loves to drag me there. She knows where the cookie spots are in town :) and, the staff love her and treat her really well. A welcomed addition and a happy crew to hang out and have a cup of coffee with!
I love coming here for my morning coffee. Pastries are good too and i like looking at the little home goods they sell. The negative reviews about the staff confuse me because the staff has always been friendly in my experience (maybe my schedule aligns with nicer workers?)
I live a few blocks from Botani and it’s easily my favorite coffee shop in Brooklyn/ my favorite neighborhood haunt. Don’t be intimidated by the aesthetically sleek minimalist decor and stylish staff- the vibe is very laid back and the people are very warm/ it’s actually the sort place where you make friends with the barristas, with other regulars, and (most importantly) with other regulars’ dogs. The coffee is delicious, the flowers the owner brings in are always beautiful, and it’s a good place to go to work or hang alone or with friends. Also- outlets all over, love that.
The morning I planned to check out this cafe, went all wrong. I wanted to have an hour and half for myself to focus on work, and enjoy a nice cup of coffee. Botani Cafe has a great coffee, and a wonderful selection of pastries. That's all I need a spot with a chill vibe, great coffee and fresh muffins. Botani Cafe definitely delivers all of the above, but unfortunately, my co-workers were calling, texting and driving me crazy, so I had to leave earlier than I hoped. Definitely worth a second visit!!!
Cozy, bright cafe with a scrumptious pastry selection, happy looking plants, and a delicious drink menu. Great for a grab and go coffee run. It’s a smaller spaces so it’s often tough to find a spot to sit, but if you do, the ambiance is pleasant, the staff is kind (and give great suggestions for the indecisive cafe goer).
Such a cool place! So many different versions for Matcha (well done Matcha) drinks. Music and Atmosphere is on point.
Everyone that works here is so kind and has such great integrity in the space and in what they make. Tell me why it took me like half a year to realize it’s called botani because they sell plants 🪴 get it, botani/botanist? 😅😮💨 anyway…really nice plants, all their coffee drinks slay. Their floral is also really leveling up these days. This is a perfect coffee shop for working, private convos, and people watching. Indoor and outdoor are both really pleasant.
favorite coffee shop in the neighborhood! great atmosphere and friendly baristas. love their coffee, but i especially love the roasted hojicha latte
Obsessed with this place. I might have been here everyday since they opened because their coffee is by far the best in the area. I’m now disappointed getting lattes anywhere else. Michael, the owner, is a gem and all of the baristas are so friendly and stylish. Botani has been such a welcome addition to the neighborhood, not only as a coffee shop but as a community hub!
Smoothest espresso I’ve had in a long time! Very friendly, professional, and prompt service (fast wait times). Restroom is very clean. A calm cool atmosphere. Perfect for getting work done! Highly recommend.
Best cafe in BedStuy, there I said it ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ The vibes are warm, the staff is sweet and the drinks are delicious. Michael and the staff are all so lovely (Maria, Elena, Parker & Nick my all-star lineup) They curate new pretty plants and books regularly, AND they do pop-ups supporting local artists. My go-to spot to get some work/writing done. It gets busy often, but there’s almost always a seat available. AND THE PLAYLISTS ARE REALLY GOOD I always leave with a few new songs Shazammed and make new friends there on the regular. Love this place. My go-to cafe for 2 years and counting 💚🍵 #botani4ever
I love botani! The baristas are super knowledgeable and kind. They regularly have new and interesting menu items, many developed by the baristas behind the bar. They also sell items from local businesses like tumblers, candles, books, and other handmade goods. As the name suggests, they have a mini tropical jungle that makes the space feel super bright, even on gloomy days. In the warmer months, the outdoor seating is so lovely. Perfect spot to get some work done, talk to your neighbors, and get some good coffee.
Delicious raspberry mint matcha! One of the most unique and delectable matchas I have tried. The ham and cheese croissant was average, not amazing. Cute decor and plenty of seating indoors and outdoors.
I LOVE this coffee shop! The concept is obviously wonderful, but the layout and design is beautiful. The shop owner was meticulous about making this space feel open and peaceful and the perfect place to sit and enjoy coffee before getting your day started. Speaking of coffee?! Its so good here, high quality and the price point isnt too bad. The baristas here are all so very sweet and knowledgeable and are detailed about making sure your order is as you like it. If you’re looking for great coffee and lovely design…BOTANI is it.
I've visited Botani Cafe countless times, and it’s become my favorite spot in NY. Honestly, it serves the best coffee in Bed-Stuy (maybe even all of Brooklyn). The vibe is always spot on, with a great crowd every time I’m there. The pastries are equally incredible. There’s plenty of seating inside, and you can also sit outside to soak up the sun when it's out.
New cafe and plant store in Bed Stuy. Good quality refreshments and inclusive community vibes. The owner and staff go above and beyond to take care of customers and lovingly prepared my iced matcha latte with pistachio milk…yum! Highly recommend for the neighborhood and will be back!
Love it here. Employees are so nice and always make my matcha right. Also best black cold brew in the area. The only thing I wished it had more gluten-free pastries. Overall 10/10

Amazing coffee shop in BedStuy. I get the iced matcha latte with almond milk (add 2-3 brown sugar cubes) and I semi-crush the cubes. The matcha is prepared to each order and tastes amazing. Come by and see why it’s such a favorite in the neighborhood 💚

My new fav cafe!!! Stopped in after a bike ride for an iced latte. The atmosphere was so cute and the baristas were friendly and accommodating (: Will be stopping by again!
As a coffee shop lover who has visited cafés around the world, I can confidently say that Botani is in my top 5. Today, with the snow outside and a great coffee in hand, the atmosphere feels truly unique. It’s the perfect place to enjoy an excellent cup of coffee and spend some quality time. Easily one of the best spots in this area. Highly recommended. ☕❄️
Needless to say this has become my second home and favorite 3rd space over the years. This coffee shop offers a really unique vibe with beautiful interiors, the best selection of coffee and tea beverages, along with a nice selection of novelty items that include plants, incense, candles, and ceramics. Not to mention the best staff ever (shoutout to Michael, Maria, Elena, Parker, Nick). Easily the best cafe in Bedstuy for co working, meetings, and relaxing.

Grabbed a cold brew with vanilla. Quality. A- Minus stars because the croissant was cold/hard. should be a criminal offense for $5+. Small warmer/microwave. 5 seconds, voila.
Super friendly staff with a green and airy atmosphere. I like their deco choices, too. Their iced chai latte was really good; I’m less of a fan of the croissant but I would visit here again. Good place to read or get work done.
Nice, clean cafe with a sleek ambiance and some light plant decorations. Super friendly staff. Dog friendly. Nice design coffee cups. And the coffee itself is quite good, slightly more mature than others I've had. It's like a medium- dark roast on the decaf. I ordered a decaf americano with some pistachio milk. Wish there was more seating and places to work and spicy chai but other than that it's great.

I moved nearby recently and this spot makes me really miss my old local coffee shop. I had high hopes, plants seemed like a super rad vibe. The idea is cute but the execution isn’t. The coffee is pretty good, but the space just isn’t welcoming, the staff seem kinda bummed to be there? I walk past often and look at the windows that are crying for a good clean. Will pop in again sometime in the hopes that things are better, but for now I’m making great coffee at home or venturing further afield.
I stopped by this neighborhood café one morning around 7–8 AM for a quick coffee and breakfast. It’s a small spot, but they do have indoor tables and a bit of outdoor seating, making it a peaceful place to sit, work, or just relax. A few people were already working there when I arrived, which gave it a nice, calm vibe. I ordered a regular coffee with milk, but unfortunately, the milk curdled right after being poured into the cup. I’m not sure if it was the milk or the acidity of the coffee, but it clearly wasn’t right. To their credit, the barista was kind about it, tossed it out immediately, and I switched to a plain black coffee instead. I’m not usually a black coffee fan, but it was fine. I also grabbed a plain croissant, which was simple and decent, nothing special. Overall, it’s an okay spot. If you’re in the neighborhood and want a quiet place to enjoy your coffee or get some work done, this café fits the bill—even if the food and drinks themselves are pretty average.

Coffee is good, and it benefits from being one of the few shops in this part of Bed Stuy. But honestly, with the exception of one or two, the baristas here are really cold and often rude. Many of the reviews here say the same. I’m honestly really curious why?
I waited to visit this place 3 times before writing a review. The first time we dined in and the last two times we took the coffee to go. The place is small and quaint with seating which can pose as a great place to have your morning coffee. However, the customer service is terrible. When you enter, no one even looks in your direction to greet you with a good morning or even so much as a friendly gaze. Everyone sits around awkwardly waiting for their coffee order to be called because the staff doesn’t say much nor do they tell you to have a seat while you wait or encourage you explore the small items around the shop. The energy is just not inviting, the coffee is decent (which is why we tried 3 times, hoping to feel differently) but it’s a no go moving forward.
Botani used to be such a vibe, but since the new team got hired everything feels a bit off. The new barista guy always has an attitude towards everything and everyone (except if they’re flirting with them). Whenever the white girl and the other two guys are working the vibe feels great, but this guy brings an attitude that feels so off for a neighborhood cafe. He does put on a show, but this isn’t a runway, people are just waiting for their coffee and a smile and he’s just not it. Just be nice.
Coffee is good but only to go…the vibe no so much feels like some sort of coworking space rather than a coffee shop..just a bunch of snobby people on their laptops pretending to be working. Sad because it’s a cute place and would like to actually sit there with a friend and have a pastry and a conversation but doesn’t feel welcoming.

I wasn’t going to write a review . But it was my first time at this coffee shop and the vibe is not it. It’s not welcoming they don’t greet you . I said hello with a smile no hello back. I ordered a large matcha latte and when she was about to pour it in the cup it was the smallest cup ever. So I said “oh I wanted large and pointed to large cups on the counter “ it was hard to hear what she said but kinda mumbled - something about those cups are for other drinks? . I was very confused and annoyed. Never coming back. I will attach a picture of my “large matcha latte.”

I really regret spending my money here. The service felt cold, rude, and honestly bizarre. There are plenty of other great spots nearby that offer better coffee and much friendlier service. Fix your attitude or don't work in the service industry, coming from someone who works in it myself.
Today I decided to get some coffee and went into a random coffee shop. I ordered an Americano, but the person behind the counter asked me twice what I wanted, and in the end, they still didn’t make what I asked for. After me, several people came in and ordered just black coffee — they got their drinks right away, while I stood there for about 20 minutes. Eventually, after I asked again, I still didn’t get anything. I just left — no coffee, no refund. Another unpleasant moment was when the barista threw the change into my hand with clear disdain. I can’t say the coffee shop itself is bad, but I was really dissatisfied with my experience.
i was having a great day before i decided to go to botani cafe. i just wanted coffee and a pastry and it seemed very difficult to get either of them without an attitude/acrimonious back and forth. too bad, could be a cute place if they change the staff.
I've been holding off on writing this review since they opened a few years back to give them a fair chance but from the handful of times I've been here, I've only had unpleasant experiences. 1. The staff is unfriendly and too "cool" to provide basic decent customer service. 2. The coffee is overpriced and simply bad. 3. The vibes are never welcoming. If you're gonna act irritated and mumble when I ask what the pastries are then label your pastries. The whole place reeks of pretentious gentrification which is awkward when your coffee isn't even good.
