Opiniones de Osteria Ca' da Jose Diano Marina
Elegant atmosphere, excellent quality, moderate prices, right in the center of Diano Marina, just steps from the seafront! We were welcomed and served with kindness and professionalism. The sea bass ravioli were exceptional, as were the spaghetti with clams and fried anchovies! All accompanied by two glasses of Pigato. They don't have house wine, but we appreciated the advice to choose a glass! We finished with a delicious Camatti amaro!
Catered for two vegetarians off menu. Super delicious! Thank you 🩷
We were thrilled! The quality and preparation were excellent, as was the presentation and ambiance. The Prosecco was also delicious and at the perfect temperature. The gentleman was very friendly and accommodating. We really enjoyed it. Everything is freshly prepared. The acciughe fritte are even better than my Zia's, which I've never experienced before. The pesto was also delicious. Thank you, mille.
We're regulars in the summer, and as always, we're always happy. I think that of all the seafood restaurants in Diano Marina, this is the only one worth visiting. The ingredients are always fresh and seasonal, and the dishes are meticulously prepared. Excellent value for money, and the place is well-maintained. The owners are also friendly and kind. (P.S. I recommend the fried anchovies; they're light and tasty.)
Three of us went for dinner after Christmas; we had fried anchovies (good), stuffed calamari (good), and brandacujon (good) as appetizers. Cuttlefish in zemin (sautéed cuttlefish) and fried calamari for the main course. Bunet (a type of pasta) and tiramisu for dessert. All dishes were well-cooked and brought promptly. The price was fair. The only slight negative was the somewhat small table, but since it was winter, there was no outdoor seating.
A charming restaurant tucked away on a busier street. The service was pleasant and excellent. The food was delicious! Special mention goes to the octopus on a bed of mashed potatoes—it was fantastic! The prices were quite reasonable: €10 for starters, €15-20 for main courses, and €5 for a glass of wine. I highly recommend it.
A very nice restaurant with a very attentive staff. They were fully booked but they arranged a table for us inside. We had octopus salad and sepie on zucchini. Both were delicious and innovative. The local fish cooked Ligurian style was also very well done and tasty. The coperto is only 2 euros. The wine was also quite good. Highly recommended
Relaxing with excellent organic wine
This is a small family owned restaurant. Food is very tasty and delicious. It is not the cheapest place but size of plates is good. Owners are very friendly and welcoming. There is an issue for those who do not know Italian or French, English is not the most common language is this area but the staff is very helpful and the owner can help with translating the menu. I definitely recommend this place for a fine dining.
We had lunch at this restaurant. The ambiance is very nice and well-kept inside; we ate outside. The owner was extremely kind and friendly. The service left a bit to be desired; the waiter almost spilled sauce on me. I had the mussels marinara, which are marked as an appetizer, while my partner had the spaghetti with clams. The mussels were fresh and the dishes were good; the only flaw was the very small portions. Given that we're not big eaters, though. Despite mentioning this, we were told the portion was 100 grams. I think this aspect needs some rethinking; I've also read other reviews mentioning the small portions, especially for a first course! In any case, I wouldn't give it less than 4 stars because the fish was good and fresh.
Used to be the best restaurant in town (pre-covid). Delicious local food, excellent service with extensive wine knowledge. Guests were waiting hours in line. But something must have happened, food is now just high priced with average quality, the waiters are still attentive, but couldn't speak English. Also didn't know the beverage "chinotto" which we used to drink here on our previous vacations (could also be possible that our pronounciation was off). Overall rather disappointing compared to previous visits :/
We had a very disappointing dining experience at Osteria da Jose. We were the first to arrive and, despite many open tables, we were seated at a two-person table and given an extra chair for our son, making the space uncomfortably tight. We ordered several dishes, including the Acciughe fritte, Guazzello di frutti di mare, Trancio di Ombrina al forno, Ravioli di branzino ragu di pesce, and Tagliolini del pescatore. The only dish that met our expectations was the Acciughe fritte. Unfortunately, everything else was mediocre at best. * Trancio di Ombrina al forno: This dish was undercooked and completely lacked flavor. * Ravioli di branzino ragu di pesce: We requested Parmesan cheese to complement the dish but never received it. * Tagliolini del pescatore: This was a great disappointment. The pasta was incredibly oily and greasy, a far cry from authentic Italian cuisine. The use of canned tomatoes instead of fresh ones, especially during summer in Italy, was a significant letdown. * Guazzello di frutti di mare: We had recently enjoyed a fantastic version of this dish at the neighboring restaurant, Taberna Celata. The version served here was tasteless, with a watery sauce that did not hold up in comparison. To avoid further disappointment, we decided to skip dessert. The final issue arose when we received the bill. We were overcharged by €26; instead of three glasses of Prosecco, we were charged for two glasses and a full bottle. While the owner acknowledged the error, her math was poor, and she only refunded us €20. We ultimately decided to let it go to avoid further hassle. Based on our experience, we cannot recommend this restaurant. There are many other establishments in the area with better food and more reasonable prices, so we suggest looking elsewhere.
We waited more than an hour for food , not even a slice of bread was given while we were waiting .. extremely slow and snappy staff . When we eventually got our food we were rushed to leave .. The waiter took my daughter’s plate away twice when she wasn’t even finished . Halfway through her bowl of mussels the waiter took the shell plate away for absolutely no reason . Food was overpriced for what we got .
Absolutely desaster, the fish was so smell from gas 🙊🙊🙊🙊🙊🙊😱😱😱😱😱 never ever again!!
