Utrolig flot restaurant. Nok den smukkeste og mest stilrene i Puerto Rico. Alt er indrettet, så der er en utrolig hyggelig stemning og man føler man er inde i en lille grotte. De sødeste tjenere gør alt for at man skal føle sig godt tilpas. Der er ikke en finger at sætte på noget. Alt spiller max, og maden er tilberedt til perfektion. Der bliver virkelig kredset om tingene, så det går op i en højere enhed det hele. Vi bestilte bord i forvejen, og det er en god idé at gøre, da det kan være svært at få plads ellers. Nemme at snakke med i telefonen for at bestille bord. Jeg vil helt sikkert ikke tøve med at vende tilbage, og få noget rigtigt lækkert at spise en anden gang.

This restaurant is amazing. My family and I spent one week in Puerto Rico and ate here three times during that week. During our visits, we had Chateaubriand, Black Angus Steak, Beef Fillet, and Chicken Stroganoff. The food was very tasty, and the meat was tender and delicious. The chicken was beautifully cooked. They served freshly baked rosemary bread, which was very soft and full of flavors. Considering the quality of food and service they provide, it's not expensive at all. The staff is very kind and good with kids. They have a kids' menu, and my children's favorite was the chicken nuggets and fries, which I also found to be very good! I can also recommend the Cava sangria - super yummy! The desserts are worth a try, for sure. If you want to eat here, arrive early (around 6:00 PM) or book a table, as they tend to get busy later (around 8:00 PM) in the evening. It's halfway up the hill, but truly worth a visit. You won't be disappointed - it's a gem.

Very interesting place that we have managed to miss for 20 years. Old school. Beautiful room. Immaculate service. I would love to have had a conversation with the owner about our meal before we arrived as you can pre order lamb, whole fish, lobster etc. When we arrived the last thing on my mind was beef but we ordered whole filet of beef with the trimmings. Very good! Enjoyed the experience very much as the service team were amazing. Will definitely return and highly recommend a visit.

This will be one of the best restaurants you go to in the Puerto Rico area. Away from the central mall, you won't be harassed by people trying to get you into restaurants or people trying to sell you rubbish while you're eating. It's a relaxed atmosphere with very friendly wait staff who are knowledgeable about the dishes being served. And the food is amazing!

We had the 5 course Christmas dinner and it was amazing! We would really recommend this restaurant because all the courses was so fantastic and staff was excellent. I am sure their regular menu is just as great. Thank you!

This is a must visit restaurant! The staff are really welcoming, and they help you get the best experience out of their top selections. The Chateaubriand is their specialty and more than recommended for steak lovers. As for the desserts, we got the best Apfelstrudel we have ever had!

We came here for our last night meal before returning home, we arrived when it opened and not realizing you had to book, they asked us to wait a minute or two and set us a table for my family of 8, they were amazing from the get go, the place was immaculate and beautiful inside, the hosts were great, and the food was absolutely amazing, we thoroughly enjoyed our meal and the bread was so delicious 😋 as we left it started to get busy, cannot thank them enough for setting a table for us, highly recommend and worth the price! Ein rundum perfekter Abend! Der Service war außergewöhnlich freundlich und aufmerksam, das Essen von herausragender Qualität – man schmeckt die Sorgfalt in jedem Gericht. Die Preise sind etwas höher, aber absolut gerechtfertigt. Auch wenn man nicht draußen sitzen kann, bietet das stilvolle Ambiente drinnen eine herrliche Auszeit vom Trubel. Besonders dankbar waren wir, dass wir trotz der gesetzlichen Regelung in Spanien unseren kleinen Hund mitbringen durften. Ein Ort, den wir wärmstens empfehlen – für Genießer und Ruhesuchende gleichermaßen!

Rewelacyjna restauracja. Wszystko jest na najwyższym poziomie....wystrój, obsługa no i najważniejsze....jedzenie jest rewelacyjne!!!!!! Żeby uzmysłowić poziom restauracji to niby taki banał ale tego nawet u Gesslerowej nie było....myjąc ręce wycierasz je malutkim ręcznikiem frote !!!!!! Aaaa ważne...knajpka nie jest duża zatem warto zarezerwować sobie stolik no i mieć ze sobą certyfikat covid.

Kurz zusammengefasst: Einfach nur toll! Wir waren gestern in der Taberna Timanfaya essen und hatten dort einen unvergesslichen Abend. Unsere Tischrunde bestand aus fünf Personen und alle waren hellauf begeistert. Schon der Empfang war sehr herzlich und wir haben uns gleich total wohl gefühlt. Das exzellente Essen, von der Vorspeise, über das Hauptgericht zum Nachtisch waren mehr als lecker und hat den Geschmack von allen getroffen. Die Weine waren selbstverständlich top und haben das Essen stilvoll begleitet. Die nette Inhaberin, der höchst aufmerksame Service und das schöne Ambiente haben den Abend für uns alle perfekt gemacht. Eine 100 prozentige Empfehlung...bitte dringend besuchen. Für mich definitiv das beste Restaurant in meinem Urlaub.

Had a delicious meal at La Taberna for my wife's birthday. The garlic prawns starter was delicious and the Chateaubriand was sensational. Service was wonderful and the wine was great. Would recommend.

It has a very nice Ambient. The service Perfect food also. You get for the start a nice warm Foccacia with Aoili, after i had Tomato bread with cheese.The Main course was a Beef Wellington, it was very nice. I can only recommend this place.

We visited on 18th July, a quiet Tues evening. Beautiful setting, greeted with an extremely warm welcome by Ciro (hope I got that right). We were offered an absolutely beautiful alcove/cave table. Stunning. The food was impeccable - probably one of the best Steaks I've ever had in the world, ever. Now that's a statement! All 3 courses were excellent! But honestly what stood out the most was Ciro's service. So friendly, so professional, so mannerly. He really made our experience! A smile with every single visit to our table. Not pushy or overbearing with anything. Pictures attached - speak for themselves. Highly recommended!!

Amazing food, excellent service with a smile and really wonderful surroundings/atmosphere. This restaurant was a firm favourite with our family and we really enjoyed our visit. Granted this restaurant requires a little more spend but it was worth it for the quality and service. Small details like the goblets on the table, the lovely decor, the friendly and warm Manor of the team all made this a wonderful experience. We intend on visiting again ♡ I was surprised this place didn't have a better standing on social media. This aesthetically is one of the nicest restaurants on the island and I think that's a big opportunity missed.

Tolles Erlebnis im Urlaub bei schönem Ambiente und wunderbaren Tapas. Hier passt wirklich alles zusammen und man kommt auf seine Kosten, wenn man mit gehobener Küche was anfangen kann. Das Ambiente im Gewölbekeller alleine ist schon ein Highlight. Aber auch der Service ist on Point. Die Tapas die wir hatten waren allesamt vorzüglich, kreativ und ein toller Anblick. Preise sind zwar etwas gehoben aber wem gutes Essen Geld wert ist, ist hier gut aufgehoben und wird nicht enttäuscht. Gerne wieder!

Perfect!!!! Aanbevolen door ons hotel hier terechtgekomen. Aangeven dat we bijna 25 jaar getrouwd waren..... we kregen een speciale tafel met roosjes en hartjes..... maar belangrijker was dat alles echt perfect was.... ons 5 gangen diner echt op Hollands sterrenniveau en de bediening ook top! Een parel van een restaurant dat verdiend een vol huis. We hebben genoten, dit mag je niet missen in Puerto rico.

In the most unusual setting with fantastic decor and thee best food I've ever tasted. Service is friendly and of the highest quality. The back area with cavern seating and themed banqueting table are just superb. I highly recommend everyone try here when you're out, what an experience.

The restaurant doesn't look as much from the outside, but once you get in you will feel at home at once. It is the first time we have been there but certainly not the last. Every bite, from the starter to the dessert was excellent and served with a very good wine. The waiter suggested the wine and it was splendid. A hidden place you should try if you want some very good food and a special experience 🙂

Очень вкусно! Особенно понравилось то что ресторан предлагает не только меню из отдельных блюд, но и подготовил комплекс на ужин - заранее сформировал набор определенных блюд. Для посетителей такой подход даёт возможность сэкономить некоторую сумму денег. А это значит, что ресторан заботиться и дорожит своими посетителями. Кстати в этот вечер комплекс состоял: суп из фазана, второе блюдо тоже из фазана и на десерт манговое смузи. Вообщем рекомендую!

We ordered the mixed platter first which came with a good variety of fish and cold starters, some really good, all above average. After came the Chateaubriand which was meaty, tender and cooked exactly how we ordered, the rest of the plate was adequate and filling but nothing special and in my opinion a little unseasoned. My table also ordered the snail dish which was presented very well and cooked to perfection. Wine list was generous and the coffee was good. Would come back again.

We dropped in on a busy Wed evening hoping for the best, and got a table for 3 without reservation. The service was friendly and good even though the staff was occupied. No unnecessary waiting, the food was super good and we got help with choosing wines. Even our teenager was impressed. The one minus was that my husband got severe stomach symptoms the next night, and we cannot figure out anything else for the cause than the snails he had for starters. Unfortunate, and these things happen. We still are ok to return, but will avoid snails for obvious reasons.

I overkant dyrt med 12 euro for et glass med "velkomst" Cordoniue....uansett om den er rosa. Bearnaise er ikke bearnaise. Gå for annen saus. Men ellers henger det på greip.

Å støte på en bortgjemt perle er som å oppdage et velbevart hemmelig skattkammer, og det var akkurat slik jeg følte det da jeg fant denne sjarmerende oasen av ro og kulinarisk nytelse. Beliggenheten er bokstavelig talt gjemt bort fra det hektiske bylivet, og det gir en umiddelbar følelse av avslapning og tilbaketrekning. De rolige omgivelsene tilfører en behagelig atmosfære, perfekt for å unnslippe hverdagens stress og jag. Det er som om tiden står stille idet man trer inn i denne harmoniske perlen. Servicen er ingenting mindre enn strålende – oppmerksom, vennlig og profesjonell. Personalet gjør alt de kan for å sørge for at gjestene føler seg velkomne og ivaretatt. Men det er ikke bare atmosfæren og servicen som imponerer; maten er en egen opplevelse i seg selv. Hvert måltid er en kunstnerisk utført symfoni av smaker og teksturer. Kokkens lidenskap for de kulinariske kunstene skinner virkelig gjennom i hvert eneste rett. Fra forretter til hovedretter og desserter, blir man tatt med på en gastronomisk reise som overgår forventningene. Jeg vil sterkt anbefale denne bortgjemte perlen til alle som søker etter en unik og minneverdig opplevelse. Enten det er for en romantisk middag, en feiring eller bare for å unnslippe hverdagens trummerum, vil dette stedet levere på alle fronter. En opplevelse som definitivt fortjener å bli oppdaget og verdsatt.

Service was friendly and good. Beautiful place. Startes were fantastic. They had beef wellington which i tried for the first time and it was good. They make the pasta in front of you and had high expectations. But in the end it was raw and not so good.

Lovely place with very friendly and welcoming staff. It has a very nice interior and it really stands out among the other restaurants in Puerto Rico. The only reason why it’s 4 stars and not 5 is because it lacked some taste and the fact that they charge you for the bread that you are given in the beginning (which is not something you order, but is given to you anyway). The bread was absolutely delicious though.

My wife and I visited this place based on last recommendation. And the steak disappointed me... good thing my wife ordered the offer of the day! For aperitif we were served focaccio with aioli and beef stroganoff. We really liked it. All my wife’s dishes were decent: - Hungarian goulash soup; - Tomato tartare with goat cheese mousse; - Passion fruit sorbet; - Tender venison fillet with wild berries sauce, red cabbage and mashed potatoes; - White coffee mousse and apple ragout. I had: - Risotto; - Black Angus Steak (which I couldn’t finish because of the stringy meat; the man at the next table also didn’t eat most of this dish. Apparently he also read the same review🙁🙁), BUT they brought me a small Beef fillet “Club” for tasting portion (without payment) and explained that the presence of sinews at the counter is the norm, but if I want meat without sinews, then I must order a dish with the prefix “fillet”. - Mille-feuilles like dessert. All the dishes were too rich, just bordering on "too much": salty or overcooked, but overall it was tasty. They lacked lightness; the vegetables did not feel juicy. But the desserts were a great success! Not a lot of sugar, tender, light, pleasant. The cappuccino was tasty, with a thick, pleasant foam. PLEASE NOTE: AT THIS RESTAURANT, THE WAITERS ARE CAREFUL ABOUT DINING ETIQUETTE AND WILL PAY ATTENTION THERE HOW YOU WILL LEAVE THE CUTLERY ON THE PLATE WHEN YOU WILL FINISH EATING YOUR DISH. The atmosphere in the establishment is very cozy and inviting! Good background music. However, it was quite hot, it would have been nice to lower the temperature by 2-4°C. We would recommend: - Tender venison fillet with wild berries sauce, red cabbage and mashed potatoes; - Beef fillet “Club”; - White coffee mousse and apple ragout; - Mille-feuilles (dessert only with coffee!)

A nice and cosy place hidden inside a brick wall in Puerto Rico. The food was nicely prepared, but lacked salt. They came with some of the restaurants home made bread which tasted nice, but they added it to the bill which was a bit of a surprise. The snails tasted good, but ideally we should have gotten some more bread with the dish to scoop up the sauce/oil with. The main dish was as previously mentioned nicely prepared, but we had to ask for some salt. The dessert was a good finish, but again we were a bit suprised that it didnt have warm chocolate inside. It was more of a cupcake. Still good flavour. The staff was pleasant and professional.

Prøver å være litt eksklusivt i forhold til andre i Puerto Rico. Og det er de. Om du sammenlignet med de som er på senteret. Det er ett finere sted hvor du pynter deg litt. Bestilte 20 retter tapas. God mat presentert på en moderne måte. Men er Europeisk tapas ikke spansk. Lite å utsette på maten. Godt krydret og anrettet fint. Fikk samme rett 2 ganger, litt usikker på hvorfor. Ligger langt over andre vi har besøkt, men litt høyere forventninger til denne prisen. Så da blir det detaljer som trekker ned.

Hade en trevlig kväll här. Åt svärdfisk som var bra tillagad men den var tyvärr ganska smaklös. Ris och grönsaker var goda. Goda desserter och goda viner till maten. Miljön är trevlig men vi fick ett eget stenbås så blev lite för varmt efter ett tag. Mycket trevliga servitörer som såg till att man kände sig välkommen och såg till att vi hade det så bra som möjligt. Maten är lite för dyr med tanke på kvaliteten så det drar ner betyget lite grann, men vi hade trots allt en väldigt trevlig kväll.

Un tesoro escondido en Puerto Rico. Comida de estilo nórdico-suizo aunque se llame La Taberna Timanfaya. Probamos varios platos y estaba todo riquísimo, incluida una fondue que estaba espectacular. El servicio muy amable, nos encontraron mesa a pesar de que estaba lleno. Recomendable para probarlo.

Muy buen restaurante, buen ambiente y trato. Precio elevado, pero la calidad de la cómoda también muy alta.

Volvimos ayer 15/09/2021 para celebrar un cumpleaños y nuevamente una muy buena presentacion de los platos, productos de calidad, menú amplio (para nosotros que no comemos carne, poca seleccion pero hay algunos platos sin carne). Una amplia carta de vinos, los postres son deliciosos, el ambiente es muy acogedor, decorado con cuadras de un pintor local. Los precios sí son elevados pero vale el dinero. Recomiendo reservar y tienen también 2 cuevas para mayor intimidad. Gracias al equipo.

Unfortunately the food got worse at every course. The best part was the free focaccia and accompanying butter and curried potato, all were delicious. The starter was decent but not as nice as these hors d'oeuvre. Next the main dish, the fish special of sole. This was quite poor, the fish fell completely flat and was quite mushy in texture. I would expect a nice firm texture from the fish with a nice delicate flavour but this was not what I received. There seemed to have been a slight floury coating around the fish aimed to give it a bit of crisp but instead this became rather soggy and ended up leaving the fish with an oily floury taste - also under seasoned. As for my partners chicken stroganoff, it was just okay, perfectly acceptable but for the price point of €23 I would have expected this to a bit more stand out ish. The place itself is lovely, with it built into the mountain with a good atmosphere. The service also was great - but unfortunately the food was lacking, and at a quite high price (€12 starter €27 main dish)

Leste mye positivt om stedet, men kan ikke anbefale det for en skikkelig god matopplevelse selvom det er det de utgir seg å kunne tilby. Maten levde ikke opp til prisen eller stilen de presenterer den på. Hyggelige kelnere, men som ikke tok seg tid til å hverken presentere maten på en ordentlig måte, eller finne ut hva vi synes om maten. Tunfisken smakte tunfiskmash fra subway. Løksuppen var enkel men god. Melon "marinert" i portvin, hva de tenkte her er ikke sikkert, men en svært mystisk og uforståelig sammensetning med melonbiter i en kopp med portvin. Kjøttet var utmerket, som på mange andre steder her på Gran Canaria. Is med ville bær, en overpresentert iskule i oppvarmede bær. Vi bestilte en "Gourmet Menu med vinpakke", og da en av rettene ikke var i nærheten å treffe oss positivt og retten ble stående halvspist var det ingen respons eller spørsmål om hvorfor vi ikke likte den. Vinene som ble presentert var helt ok, men ingen vin-opplevelse. Da vi hadde gjort opp for oss og beskrevet opplevelsen til dem på en hyggelig måte, var det slik som andre har skrevet at de ikke var interessert i konstruktiv kritikk men bare ville ha oss ut etter vi hadde betalt. Derfor kan jeg ikke gjøre annet enn å skrive denne anmeldelsen i håp om at andre ikke går hit med høyere forventninger enn en 3 retter på Egon. Hvis vi skulle dratt tilbake, ville vi nok valgt noe fra dagens eller en ren kjøttrett. Men pga. følelsen om at dette er en skandinavisk restaurantfelle kan jeg ikke anbefale den sterkt videre. Synd da førsteinntrykket var meget bra. H.

We went for tapas which they serve only on Fridays, for 40€ each. We were surprised over what we received, as it was not remotely close to what anyone would think of when they hear the word "tapas" in the classic sense of the word. We were served what felt like a series of dish samples, where many of them seemed to contain items straight from the pack out of the supermarket. Like the crab stick sprinkled with canned corn. The presentation was decent overall, but the experience was sadly overshadowed by the general taste and feel of the food. The inclusion of a piece of local cheese was a pleasant surprise. The seance took 3-4 hours. That being said, they have very nice and attentive staff, and a nice setting in the restaurant. You can probably have a good experience if you go for something else but the tapas in my opinion.

Maten hade varit duglig om de inte tog betalt som en finkrog. Dom har lång väg kvar dit. Beställde Tonfiskcarpaccio som var okej till förrätt. Prawns på himalayasalt till huvudrätt som var så torr och tråkig. Dom får ett plus för presentation av mat men inte smaker. Att dom dessutom tog betalt för brödet med nästan 5 euro utan att man visste gör en inte glad. Vattnet tog dom bra betalt för också och var ivrig att fylla på. Efterrätten med ameretto var för söt och hade ingen speciellt i smakväg.

Vi hadde lyst til å prøve denne restaurenten. Vi ankom restaurenten tidlig på kvelden. Ble møtt på en svært god måte, hyggelige og hjelpsomme servitører. Fin restaurent med godt og reint interiør. Vi bestilte Chateaubriand med tilbehør, to soser, peppersos og bernaisesos. Forskjellige typer poteter. Sosene var kjedelige, for mye poteter og lite grønnsaker. Andre servering var blitt kald. Vinene er middels gode, men altfor dyre. Kjøttet var utmeket. Betjening ordnet en god ostetallerken til dessert. Vi fikk brød med aioli til appertizer. Hyggelig og flinke servitører. Hyggelig stemning på restaurenten. Pris på mat og vin er altfor dyr!

Al llegar me ofrecieron un pequeño trago de prosecco con frutas, que estaba rico, pero me sorprendió que en la cuenta apareciera a 11 €, un precio excesivo para un trago de bienvenida. Luego pedí el stroganoff: el sabor de la carne y la salsa estaba realmente bueno, pero el menú indicaba que venía acompañado de papas fritas, y resultaron ser papas fritas de bolsa, no frescas ni preparadas en el restaurante. Considerando que el plato cuesta 25 €, me pareció una falta de respeto recibir un acompañamiento de ese nivel. El servicio fue impecable, pero la relación precio–calidad no justifica lo que cobran.
