This is my favorite fast food restaurant in Lubbock and maybe ever. They have successfully converted me from being a loyal canes customer. The variety is great and you definitely gotta try the chicken & waffles!

This has got to be the best when it comes to the world of simplicity..good ol' chicken strips! And they're so darn juicy! I was totally impressed!! They also have a great team at any time of the day or night! Kyle and Kyler and Ms. Porsha know how to keep the crew happy as well as the customers! They really work hard over there to insure cleanliness and the hospitality of them all is contagious!! This is one of my favorite places to go eat! You got to stop by and grab you some good chicken and always a great experience weather you're dining in, or drivin' the drive-thru! Great job guys!!!!!

Went there during lunch hour with my husband was wonderful. You can just eat on appetizers alone if you choose so and if you decide to do that they are huge so think about that when you add an appetizer to your menu order. I would choose their chicken over any chicken place in town when it's hot. Also easy to get to off 19th Street easy access.

My daughters always love getting slim chickens and I love their jar desserts. I am sad they stopped their fried mushrooms and their fried okra is kinda lack luster. Their chicken is good and I love the cayenne ranch. I am glad they upgraded their toast to texas toast, a thicker sliced bread is always good.

I come here at least 2-3 times a week. I really enjoy the atmosphere. The manager and some of the other staff I have come to know there and they are awesome, they are the reason I continue to come back. I enjoy their friendliness and the fact that my food is always made fresh. I recommend this food place all the time.

4 of us stopped in for lunch. We each had chicken strips with a large okra. Everything was fresh and delicious. You can tell it is a well run restaurant and the staff was excellent.

I would give it more stars if I could. I cannot speak more highly of the service at this location. Immediately upon entering, we were greeted my the front end with smiles and FANTASTIC recommendations on food, for we were all unfamiliar with the menu. The manager himself served us and even cleared our table, though that's not the norm for this chain. I got better table service here than at most restuants that do it regularly. If you're on the edge about eating here, do it. Atmosphere- 10/10 Food- 9/10 Service- 15/10 I will be eating here again.

By far the best place to eat chicken in Lubbock and the main reason is the employees ,especially Tia.she is always nice and polite and goes out of her way to help people that's a good soul.

I always have a pleasant experience at slim chickens. Young lady that took my order was very nice and polite. I been here more than 8 times now. Never had a bed experience. Great job.

This place is awesome. I had the honey barbecue wings and they were absolutely delicious. My meal came with fries and toast as well as my choice of dipping sauce. I was completely satisfied with the food. So happy I found this place!

I had a great experience tonight with the team at slim chicken. I had a small issue with my order when I got home. I called and talked to a employee who was very nice and got me into contact with her manager. The manager was a man with dark hair and spacers. I can not for the life me remember names but he was fantastic. I appreciate him working with me and making my experience with the company great and understanding when something goes wrong how to fix it! Shout out to the team working tonight and I appreciate you greatly!

Clean on the inside and service was great. It didn't take to long for the food to come out for take out in the dining room but they still apologized for the wait. No apology needed they did great and always have since I've started eating there about 5 years ago.

The food was amazing when I went there for the first time, the staff were friendly, the atmosphere was great, but it took a minute for my food to be ready but that comes with fresh food.

The cashier I believe was Leslie. She was very kind and patient and amazing. I got the Chick meal which is three pieces of chick strips, french fries and a dipping sauce. I got the bleu cheese. The chicken was really hot fresh from the fryer. And I got the peach tea. Delicious!!! It was my first time to go there. We have one on South University by my house. I was at the one on 19th street At first I wasn't to sure about my meal. It seemed different not sure I would make it a favorite place. But after thinking about it I think I will go again in the future and try a different sauce. There were many to choose from. Thank you for the great service and wonderful peach tea!!! I had to have a refill it was so good!

Fantastic fast food chain! Great juicy chicken tenders and signature sauce at a reasonable price. Also really good sweet tea, and amazing desserts. The staff is friendly, competent, and fast. The building is bright, cheerful, and sparkling clean! It beats the socks off the Wendy's next door (though that's a story for another review). I've eaten there twice in the last month since discovering it, and will likely be back soon. All around, a great dining experience. Definitely recommend!

It was a really pleasant experience. It was during the early afternoon a slower time of day. It was clean, service was speedy even though it was a skeleton crew. I will go back.

Good chicken. I occasionally come in to get the hungry meal (biggest tender meal) when I'm having just one big meal that day. I always end up feeling overstuffed and somewhat disgusted with myself, but I still end up coming back every few weeks. The Cayenne ranch sauce is great and the fries are pretty solid. Also the service is generally pretty good and the restrooms are relatively nice.

Best chicken strips in town an my family have tried all of them. Great staff very friendly an management was extremely helpful. Great prices for the amount of food you receive, always very clean and the restrooms too. Will always go back. Oh an the sauces the variety is unbelievable.

Just tried out this place for the first time. Pleasantly surprised with how great the food was. The batter for the chicken was nice; gave a good crunch to each bite, but it didn't overpower the delicious chicken underneath. The real star of the meal for me was the fried okra, it was absolutely on point. Will happily come back when I can, and will definitely order more fried okra the next time!

Wonderful quality food. My only complaint was that I felt as though the fries were a bit too seasoned but the chicken, tea, and toaster were all phenomenal. The bathrooms were also kept up extremely well the only problem being the roll of paper towels were not in the dispenser. Overall great experience though

Oh my goodness! I am so glad that Amarillo is getting one of these! I got the crispy chicken sandwich with spicy ranch and it was delish! You also have more options than just fries as a side. I ended up with okra and it was super tasty. The restaurant itself is relaxed and casual, definitely made for the college area it's in.

The only complaint I have, is that they weren’t generous on the buffalo sauce. Some wings didn’t even have sauce. Besides that, food tastes great. Good selection of dipping sauce. Highly recommended!

I am very happy that this location is open. The food is every bit as good as the other Slim Chickens in town, but there are still some issues with the drive-thru to work out. I look forward to getting many meals from this location.

Good chicken strips and good sauces! They have cool sides like jalapeño caps, fried mushrooms, and fried pickles. Several different sauces like cayenne ranch. Good place for sure but takes a long time in the drive through. It’s def a place worth being in the options list for an easy dinner for the fam.

Got here at 11am'ish... the food was good and the service was solid. Oddly, like another review, the French fries were luke warm. The manager came by and we told him and they brought out a fresh batch!

I go here pretty often. I usually get wings which are usually pretty dry and overcooked. This time, I got the chicken tenders and they were wonderful. It's always pretty loud in here. Especially today when there were a couple of Texas Tech fraternities in here with us. Haha. Pretty good stop.

Stopped here for some lunch on my way home. New to town so I had never heard of this chain. Food was excellent, tenders were flavorful and juicy. I ordered fried mushrooms and those were also amazing. Only thing was I didn’t get my gravy I had asked for haha. Otherwise no complaints, a great fast food option!

It was decent food. Chicken tenders were juicy. Gravy and fries didn't have much flavor, in my opinion. Toast tasted like it had garlic butter on it, and it was to die for! They have 4 varieties of teas. Place appeared to be nice and clean. Not much clientele at noon. Staff were friendly. They have a roll of paper towels, ketchup and Louisiana hot sauce on each table. There are 2 ivr machines to place your oorder on in addition to the cashier.

Got a Cayenne Chicken Sandwhich with a Strawberry Jar Dessert. Sandwich was ok, a bit on the dry side but still good. Very crispy and fries were fresh. The jar was also good. Service was fast and friendly.

Went through drive through and waited in line of 4 vehicles for 25 minutes. Fries were undercooked. They had fried onions on top of my meal and it was like they soccer's the onion skin & all and battered and fried it. So gross. Will no return.

*Edit* Waited in the drive-thru for 41 minutes. I can see 20, even 25. 30+ is just too much for a drive-thru. You have to wait a while, but on Sundays kids eat free with regular meal purchase, when the child is present. It saves a lot of money.

It tasted great. The both cash register operators were rude. The sauce was rich in flavor. The order turnover was quick. The tables were clean.

The chicken is great. Wings, strips, the wide variety of sauces and spices are awesome. Down fall? Ive been here about 4 times since June and everytime I came, the fries are always so cold. Never fresh or at least warm.

I waited a long time for my food!! As long as I waited the food should have been fresh and it hot! The fries were cold, well the sprinkle of fries I got were cold. Although my chicken sandwich was good it too was not that warm! Idk if y’all made the food and forgot it was sitting out or what

Two stars for the staff being so friendly. They were great, unfortunately the food was terrible. I ordered the chicken sandwich and I looked at it a couple of times while eating it to make sure it wasn't a rubber ball cut in half. Possibly the worst chicken sandwich I have ever eaten.

My 5 and 5 meal was missing the two slices of toast, which is my favorite part of the meal, it was also poorly sauce even though I requested extra sauce. I wouldn't recommend this slims to anyone I cared about.

I usually go to the location on 4th but this was near me today. The girl at the window needs some energy or work somewhere else. She acted like she didn't want to be there and no customer service what so ever. I should have been charged for a kids meal cause that is what it looks like. Ridiculous. I will continue to go to the 4th street location from here on out. The gentleman that works there is bright and bubbly and the food is great. You get your money's worth.

I ordered two chicks plate, one regular and one with Mac and cheese as well as a Coke Zero and a Sprite. Once we left we found out that our “Coke Zero” was a Dr Pepper and the “Sprite” was a water. The bag came with only two napkins and not even a fork for the Mac and cheese. I expected better from a place I usually go to eat good food.

Will the food was good but customers service need some work. There was only two employees. The male was most help. But the female employees made feel like she keep or trying to tell me . that if I need a to go box . I was not done. The 5 min later trying to clear my table was still not done yet. I should of ask to talk to manager. I don't know what her damn problem was. I wouldn't be going there no more. And top of that there was one customer waiting for 5 minutes nobody come so that person just left. No wonder the business was not busy.

The wings were not cooked all the way through. After I called forever over and over again . They kept hanging up on me for about 30 minutes. They did correct it , but who's going to wait hours for their kids to eat ? So we won't do it again . Too much trouble !

Would normally give a 4 or 5 star ratings but this evening was NOT good. I ordered cookies they had 2 said they would make more. Finally got it. I ordered an extra toast which we didnt get had to go back up front and ask for it. The gravy was thick to the point that you couldnt dip your tenders in it. Then the cookies was broken up in pieces. Definitely an off night for them. And that's cause we love this place😩😩

I love Slim Chickens BUT service at this store is bad. Wait was 20 minutes....food was cold...and I asked for easy ice... I got NO ice. Wow...

The wait wasn't too long, bit I guess that's because they made the order so terribly. I paid $24.70 for 2 plates. The toast is soggy, the chicken is cold, I paid extra for fried mushrooms & they are greasy, the breading is mush, seems half cooked as the inside are cold. I'm actually furious because they're pretty much inedible.

I don't really leave bad reviews unless the place sucks. This is the 2nd time I've had a bad experience with this place. The drive-through girl doesn't know how to listen and messed up the entire order, I ordered a basic meal and it took about 40 minutes, and whoever cooks the food burnt everything. That's probably why it took so long. More than 5 people in the store and it wasn't even busy. Wack

Im from out of town. There's not a slim chicken in my town. I had heard it was a pretty good fast food restaurant with good wings. I got 3 orders of different flavors. I personally did not like the wings. They seemed old and hard. May be I went at a busy time. I'll give them one more try hopefully its better quality food next time. Not as good as everyone says. Mediocre at best. I ordered the New Cayenne Ranch dry rub chicken tenders, super over seasoned and really salty. The Korean bbq were ok, not bad but nothing really special about them. The fries went pretty flat and bland quick, which was weird. I really thought the experience was a let down. I wouldn't go back again unless someone else paying for it!! 😒😒😅

Coke was watery. Fries were so dry and no salt at all. My chicken sandwich was saturated in the mayo or ranch or whatever was in there. I didn't like. Would not recommend.

Ordered food asked for large milk shake was told they only make 1 size,but online it shows that you can get a large milk shake. Guy @ window just shut it as I was talking. Not acceptable regardless how busy you are. Always take care of your guest.

They closed the doors an hour before closing time and refused to acknowledge customers at the door or even post a sign on the door. The manager just rudely gestured for us to leave. Stick to the other locations here in Lubbock if you must eat Slim Chickens.

The Slim Chickens on 19th St. serves old nasty food continuously. Max & cheese was old, dried up and nasty. Tenders were old and over cooked. Coke slaw was old and soured. This has been a few times now. I will NEVER eat there again. Waste of money for nasty old gross food. Shame on the GM and the Regional Manager.

Lazy night staff. Multiple times ive showed up, well before close and they tell me theyve closed. This time was different. Gave me an option to actually order. They tell me theyre only doin pick ups and that i can on app and i said ok ill place one on app. Go to app to do the order and it wouldnt let me. This time when i tried to tell them it wasnt working, they ignored me. If youre open, you should be open. Ive worked in many restairants. Fast food is the absolute easiest. Take 5 minutes to cook my food. As is your job.

I waited a little over an hour for my food and saw 21 people get their food before me that ordered after me. But there was one guy who was helpful. And there was someone on FaceTime in the back.

Iive four blocks from this place and my wife decided to order some food and iust add it was directly from the slim chickens website (thinking they got a delivery service) food was 15 mins late they didn't send all drinks and food was cold $45 dollar waste i wouldve been better eating from mcdonald's and once i got there for my drink the manger guy gave it to me without a lid . and told me too complain on doordash. Never again

Had never been here before. Figured I would give it a try. Went through the drive thru at the end of lunch. I paid 10.00 for five overly greasy chicken strips, gravy that was the consistency of glue, Texas toast that was old and chewy. The only thing that was good was the fries. Sad disappointment. Cannot say I will be back.

Stood in line for 5 minutes and several employees totally ignored me. A black girl with long blonde hair was more interested in refilling her cup and walk away than to put her cup down and serve the customer. Worst experience ever at a slim chickens. I Would not even recommend this place to my worse enemy.

Got chicken nuggets when I ordered strips. I paid a ridiculous amount for chicken nuggets. If this is what they call strips they need to think again. They were way small and might have well been nuggets. After going up on their prices they sure don't try to keep the customer wanting to come back.

If you hate your job just quit, why did we wait 30 minutes in line for a 8 piece wing and when we were addressed by the employee she said “I forgot I had you in the line still” and the next employee came up “ your total is 36.79” for the car BEHIND US. We paid and after interaction with 2 employees we still had to wait an additional 15 minutes. Absolutely ridiculous.

Always slow, drive through or otherwise. Was actually wanting Slims for the first time in a while so made the mistake of door dashing some. As per usual it took longer than it should have, but then it gets here and the sauce (that has to be selected or opted out of) wasn’t included. The sauce has always been pretty good and I don’t eat dry tenders anywhere. Add to that it’s normally pricey and DD makes it even more so, makes it an aggravating experience for just wanting to get something to eat.

Food is decent but beat out by other places not that far *cough* *cough* raising canes *cough* *cough* plus the service was horrible, sauces were left out, orders were wrong etc. Then to top it off they change the channel from TTU's basketball game at the Madison square garden to a cowboys game while we were watching it. The manager just stared at us while we doing so. Would NOT recommend

Look, I've given this restaurant 3 chances, at different times of day and on different days of the week. Its just not at a quality that I can recommend. The chicken is always overcooked, the oil tastes old, the drinks taste off, even the namesake sauce has a gross consistency and smells unappetizing. I will not be returning and would suggest you look elsewhere for your fried chicken cravings.

Adding to my dissatisfaction, I found it disheartening that Slim Chickens charges extra for a side of sauce but fails to deliver on this promise. It is understandable for a restaurant to charge for additional condiments, but it is unacceptable to not provide what customers have paid for. This leaves a sour taste in one's mouth, both literally and metaphorically, as it reflects a disregard for customer satisfaction. Furthermore, I encountered an issue with one of the locations regarding a refund. Despite bringing the matter to their attention, they failed to provide me with the refund I was owed. This lack of accountability and customer service is highly concerning. Customers should feel valued and respected, and it is disheartening when a business fails to meet these basic expectations. Overall, my experience at Slim Chickens was extremely disappointing. The chicken sandwich was subpar due to a soggy bun, the fries were undercooked, and the refusal to provide the extra sauce I paid for was frustrating. Additionally, the lack of resolution regarding a refund from one of the locations further contributed to my dissatisfaction. I hope that Slim Chickens takes these issues seriously and works towards improving their food quality, customer service, and overall experience. I would caution others who are considering dining at Slim Chickens to be aware of these shortcomings and manage their expectations accordingly.

This place is always dead and now I know exactly why .. I ordered through drive thru and did not receive my desert did not notice until I got home .. when I called them .. the lady who was a manager told me I can go back and pick it up .. told her if I needed to go that day .. "due to not wanting to get out again " she told me deffently not that she will add my name to a list and I may pick up any day and any time .. I asked her if I was going to need my receipt she told me no .. well today I was in the area and decided to stop by and grab that .. and they never added me to no list and. The manager working still couldn't do the right thing and give me it .. almost 8 bucks down the drain .. I'm so pissed off

Terrible! They allowed us to place and pay for an order on Christmas Eve to be picked up at 6pm. They don't bother to let is know that they closed at 4. No call.
