I love going to Chuy's. It's a great chain. And they have several locations. Their salsa is very spicy but you can order the ranch salsa which is a little more tame. I wish they had a third variety that was mild. Service is always great and the manager always makes a point to come say hi.
I forgot to take photos but this was a great experience. We are in DC visiting our son and daughter in law with our grandchildren and the grandkids were some. It’s to see a bus we had to eat here. They ate everything! We had a wonderful server and the food was hot and very flavorful. Highly recommend the fajitas, burritos, kids meals! Everything!
My husband, daughter, and I visited Chuy’s on Monday, August 26th. We experienced excellent hospitality by our server Cecilia. She consistently checked in with us and gave us amazing recommendations when ordering our food. The food itself was delightful and the servings were very generous! Management also stopped by during our meal to explain the different sauce choices and arrangement of the menu. At the end of our meal management stopped by once more to thank us, invite us back, and gave us coupon cards for free queso for a future visit. Lastly, we were blown away by the Tres Leches dessert, so much so that we ended up ordering two servings to go! A 5/5 dessert that we highly recommend for anyone else stopping here for a meal.
love this place…. Food is delicious with great customer service.
Excellent food as always, friendly staff, a good location with plenty of park8ng and seating.
Great food wow. So much flavor.
Come here and see Lou (Louis P). We had a great time here during a weekday right before Happy Hour. Lou made sure our food came out quick and hot, and our drinks were always topped off. Chuy’s was on our list to visit since we moved away a few years ago and did not disappoint. Big thanks to Lou for a wonderful meal!
When I was a kid and I lived in Tennessee this was one of my favorite restaurants the scenery is great the food is great service is always great so I was pleasantly surprised when I moved to Virginia and they had one minutes from my house. Makes me feel like a kid again when I go . Also very convenient it’s located right within the mall but dont have to go through the mall to get in. Pickup is quick and friendly
I recommend everything! Just make sure that you come here on an empty stomach, because you will be stuffed when you get halfway through or when you finish your meal. I recommend asking for Bartender=David, Servers= Lily, Miguel or Orlando these are masters at their job! I had the Tortilla Soup, the soup is very delicious but it packs a punch within a few seconds after putting some in your mouth! Highly recommended for a cold winter's day! My fiancè ordered #2 or the Elvis Presley, full of flavor and textures too! Be careful not to eat the jalapeno pepper slices by mistake. Enjoy your meal.
Orlando taken care of my family very well, I will come more frequently because of him. Thank you
Food was excellent and even though the location in in the mall, once you walk in the door it is like you time traveled to another world. Serving size is large and we had yummy left overs to take home. Loved the portraits of individuals from the past.
First time here and I LOVED it. I didn't even realize it was a chain restaurant. The food was so fresh and so delish. I WILL be back here next time I'm in the area. There was a wait when we arrived, but it was Saturday night, so that was expected. The wait staff and other employees were so friendly.
This is the only restaurant I really enjoy taking home leftovers. Love the queso, salsa, and that special ranch like dip with their light tortilla chips. I'm a fan of The Elvis, which comes with three enchiladas, a taco, and a couple of half Taco shells dipped in queso. Rice and beans are on the side, too. For the price, it's a great deal. Now the service, usually it's good but on my last visit, it was great. Very positive experience overall. I don't always take pics of my food so what ya get is the leftover I brought home, because it's lunch the next day!
Today myself and 2 other coworkers stopped in for lunch for the first time and I must say we were very pleased. We were greeted immediately and seated and our server came right over. The food was great and the drinks were even better.
We arrived at 8:45 PM and chose to sit outside at the bar. Joey was fantastic—his friendly customer service truly stood out. He was kind and patient while taking our order and frequently checked in to see how we were enjoying our drinks and food. We will definitely return, thanks to Joey!
Omg..**I almost needed someone to roll me out of here** First the place is decorated all over with brightly colored wooden fish hanging from the ceiling, hubcaps and memoribila from old classic cars, let me just say your eyes will never get tired or bored while eatting here. It's a great place for the entire family and dates. The waitress we had was SUPER fast with our request, their chips were light, crispy and delicious and the sauces were very good too. ***Now the food, omg!!!!*** So dag gone good. Listen bring and appetite, ok?! I actually had first view of a lady making some of the burritos from scratch..This food is so good, I was full and couldn't stop eatting, neither could my two kids one of which is a very picky eater. PLEASE Like my reviews so I can keep doing these!! I have included real pics:-) that I took with my own camera. You have to go and see for yourself:-) This is delicious Mexican food, with some American choices, they have grown up drinks too.. ju
Absolutely amazing Tex-Mex restaurant. The food is simply fantastic, there is a subtle heat that builds throughout the meal, which enhances the whole experience. The sauces are spectacular, and cannot believe I am saying this, but the rice and the beans are just wonderful. Service for my wife and I was brilliabt, made us feel very welcome and well taken care of. Cheerful, helpful, and humorous. Miguel, our server, gave us many recommendations for different types of both sauces and dishes. Right by the mall, the location is convenient, but would definitely come here specifically for this restaurant and not just for shopping.
Always stop at Chuy’s when we visit and this time was just as good as past visits! I ordered takeout this time instead of eating in and got my regular - house special Elvis Presley Memorial Combo. I modified it a little for all 3 enchiladas as beef with tex mex sauce on all 3 of them and double rice and no beans. No problem requesting modifications. Food was absolutely delicious I could not even finish it all and saving it for lunch tomorrow 😀 I did not even take a picture of the taco that comes with it because I ate it too fast lol. Also even though I ordered for takeout I still got the house made chips, salsa and creamy jalapeño dip and that was delicious as always also! Highly recommend Chuy’s!!!
Just tried Chuy’s for the first time tonight with my family and we had a great meal! The wait staff was super attentive and kept us filled with chips and two kinds of salsa. The entrees were fantastic. My wife had the roasted chicken burrito with deluxe tomatillo salsa. I had the Chuychanga with Hatch Chile salsa and can honestly say it was the best Chimichanga I’ve ever had. My kids also loved their meals. All the portions were very generous. Great experience all around!
Chuy’s food and service was good. Pictured: Tortilla soup and Mexi-Cobb Salad
Love this place. Neighborhood favorite. Great spot for family or date night. We always get the frozen mango margaritas and the chicken and steak combo fajitas for two which comes with refried beans and rice. There’s plenty of covered outside seating and nicely designed inside. Wait staff is always kind and attentive.
5+++ stars for our server. I wish I remembered his name. He was an older hispanic gentleman probably in his late 50s? My mom and I got fajitas which were delicious and margaritas. I would have preferred my spicy margarita to have a little more spice and be served in a margarita glass. Decor was cute but the bones of the place are a bit dated and worn. The music was an excellent mix. I'd definitely be back.
We love Chuy's! We used to eat at the one in Rockville until it closed down and now go out to VA to eat here. I love the chips, margaritas and Elvis Platter. The enchiladas at Chuy's are THE BEST! The service is always on point. I highly recommend! This is one of my favorite restaurants.
First time at at Chuys and great experience. Chips were thin and salty, chicken was moist and flavorful and frozen margarita hit the spot. Great service.
I’ve been coming here for years and always love the service. But today our server, Tessa really was amazing. She thought of everything we might’ve needed and I got my food very quickly. Sadly no more 2 sides but with Tessa as our server it didn’t bother me because she was such a kind and attentive server! Will definitely continue to come back!
We really enjoyed this place. The salsa was fa tasting and a little spicy. We had the boom-boom enchiladas, Chuychanga, and soft taco. All were good. We were not fans of the margaritas. They were very tart. Otherwise, I would definitely recommend this place. UPDATE: We went back for happy hour. Service was good.
Came here with my girlfriend on a Monday and had a pleasant time here at Chuy's. Food came out hot and fast. Servers and staff were friendly and nice. Smiles all around at this establishment! I ordered the fajita burrito and I can't wait to come back and order it again! Thank you Chuy's.
I tried Chuy's at Springfield Mall for the fist time tonight and it definitely won't be my last time. They do service quite differently here, in a unique way. Service: Our hostess was very friendly, spoke Spanish and English fluently. She served us our drinks and food. Food: The tortilla chips are way different compared to other Tex-Mex and Mexican restaurants I've tried in the past. They were served to us warm and it had immense flavouring. The salsa/pico de Gallo with the white sauce (dip) was something unfamiliar before, but it was absolutely stunning! The Fajitas Combo with Shrimp for 2 was an entire show for me. Chuy's serve the food where the two guest can add how much rice, beans, salad and proteins into each individual plate. I found that very interesting as that's never occurred to me before. The hand-made tortillas were soft, warm and totally what I expected from the rest of the reviews. Place: Whoever designs their restaurants, let me tell you: they are passionate. You get so many good vibes from this place and always wanting to explore more. Nice indoor, bar, and outdoor dining places available.
Great food. Great customer service! The jalapeno dipping sauce is the best. They are very generous with the chips. We will be back.

Food was excellent. Enjoyed a chicken fajita bowl. Great combination of items. Seating was quick. service a little slow, but our server was attentive to our needs.\nDefinitely eat there again.
Wonderful food! The Mexican Lasagna and Beef Tips were delicious! Very enjoyable atmosphere with friendly employees. We will definitely go back!

Delicious food! I got chicken tacos and a virgin strawberry mojito tasted so refreshing! The service was wonderful.
Food was good, service was good, and the ambiance was nice too!!! I will definitely dine here again .
Good food and great environment. Wish their menu was bigger and had more variety. The queso with beef and the salsa are killer!!!
Good food, good service, good atmosphere, good prices. Consistent. \n\nRanch sauce ftw. \nNever lets me down.
We throughly enjoyed having a family (7) dinner here. All our meals were excellent. The staff and their service was also excellent!

We did take out. The place is spacious. The service was quick. I ordered food for my hubby. He gets the shrimp quesadilla and said it was good. The salsa was awesome but spicy, which is not bad if you like spice. The chips were fresh.
(Honest review) My waitress was fantastic! She gave us extra salsa and chips to go. (If she wasn’t allowed to do this oh well, it was the kindness that counts.) The food was decent, I have had better Mexican food. I plan to come back to try another dish. It was a good dinner for my boyfriend and I on a very rainy day.
Our waitress Rachel gave us Excellent Service! Food was good. We would come back again and ask for her.
Coming from the perspective of a Latina, this place is very very close to authentic Mexican food. I can almost always tel when flour tortillas are “real” and these were IT! The tortillas are handmade and there’s a specific section where people make the tortillas. Beef skirt fajita was good, guacamole was good. Rice was meh. (Only reason for the 4 stars) The ranch dip with the chips is soooo good I wish I could get a bottle of it or something. Chicken fajita had that smoky flavor it was really good. The price point is perfectly aligned with portion size. Portions are not big per say, but way bigger than what most people are served. Anyways I love this place I will be coming back 👍🏼
Their happy hour is amazing. Nacho bar from 4 to 7 it's free. They have chips, salsa, jalapeno sour cream, ground beef or pork, queso, refried beans as well as a chili con queso. All of this I name is free from 4 to 7 Monday through Friday. They also have some good margaritas. I had the Frozen mango one and some casamigos tequila shots. For dinner I had the shrimp tacos. It was definitely Tex-Mex, not authentic Mexican. But they also don't claim to be authentic Mexican so that's fine. I will definitely be back.
Really good service and food! Prices are fair, each plate was delicious as well as loaded, really loaded! We had to wait a while for it was crowded. However, it was worth the wait. The downside was the small space inside the restaurant, barely accommodates large groups. Dif not go to the bathrooms, so I can't say anything about those facilities.
Food and drinks much better than expected. Fajita beef cooked very well, and chile sauce fantastic. Location needs to work on cleanliness, but is a very impressive operation.
Food is good and not I early expensive with good service and crew. The queso with taco meat really good and I catered grad party and had lots of leftovers so much food.

We were passing by and stopped to charge our Tesla. Came here based on a recommendation. The food here was average. I had heard a lot about the boom boom sauce. It did not quite meet up to the hype. The chips and salsa are better than most places.
My family are all big fans of Chuys. We went to the original location in Austin for a long time and were very excited to see a location open in VA when we moved here. We eat at this location often and the service and food is always good. That said, I felt the need to post a slightly critical review because there is something wrong with the quality check process for takeout and delivery meals. The last four meals we’ve ordered, my wife has not received her salad dressing. Today we were missing the dressing, there was no sauce on my burrito, and we didn’t receive the Carmel drizzle for their always excellent Tres Leches cake. Chuys is an great restaurant and we will certainly continue to patronize them, but I paid extra for sauce I didn’t receive that is listed on the receipt.
I ate at many Chuy's restaurants before in other cities and never disappointed until I came here. I ordered the Deluxe Chicken enchiladas, which it is supposed to be a rotisserie chicken instead of a dried boil chicken breast. The plate was extremely hot to the point that I could file a lawsuit for burning my fingers. The waitress didn't warn me when she brought it out.
I wanted to like this place SO much! We went here for a date night and walked in and I thought there was a weird smell but my husband thought it was fine so we sat and ate. Our waitress was really nice and did really well. The food was very lackluster. The flautas were over cooked so the meat inside was dry and I LoVE flautas so that was a disappointment. It lacked flavor and just missed all the notes. I’m sure I won’t be back unless yard house is REALLY packed otherwise.
Service was good, server checked in regularly and was on top of refills and the check. Restaurant is like a dated cafeteria and not very cozy in my opinion. Food was just OK. They don't have traditional salsa with chips and instead have a spicy chopped tomatoes or cream sauce, I didn't care for either. I did order queso instead and that was good, it also had a little spice. The chips were fresh and were pretty salty which I liked. I ordered a steak burrito which had little flavor aside from the spicy chili sauce on the burrito. Essentially just sirloin without much flavor and cheese in a tortilla. There was a good amount of meat and the meat was decent and cooked nicely just didn't have much flavor nor did the beans or rice. Overall just ok and felt a bit over priced.
The service was a bit slow. The host at the counter although nice seemed to not know what was going on. Our server forgot part of our order. When it was time to go we waited what felt like 15 mins just to receive the to-go boxes we asked for a couple of times already.
Was a great place for a friend’s 30th birthday. We had made a reservation for 11 people and 15 showed! The staff was very accommodating, we got drinks in time and were constantly being given chips. The dips are fantastic!
Great salsa, quick happy hour, and friendly service Stopped by Chuy’s at Springfield Mall for a quick happy hour and was pleasantly surprised. It’s a chain, sure, but a good one. The bartender was really friendly and kept things moving, which was perfect for an after-work stop. The standout? The salsa—hands down the best I’ve ever had. Fresh, flavorful, and just the right amount of heat. I also had a quesadilla, which was pretty good—cheesy, well-cooked, and satisfying. If you’re nearby and want a casual spot with solid Tex-Mex, fast service, and a great happy hour, Chuy’s is definitely worth a visit.
Stopped here after some shopping at the mall. Was seated immediately for 3 people. Service was good and food came out quickly. Food wasn't all that great. Beans lacked flavor and the rice was semi hard. Tacos were bland. Burritos tasted okay with one of their signature sauces. None of us finished our meals. Unfortunately this is another one and done for us.
I went to the spot on a Saturday afternoon for drinks with a friend. It was cool crowded met some nice people the ambience was cool.

The place is huge with outdoor seating. service was quick and prices reasonable. However the food had little flavor. So many more better Mexican within a couple minutes drive.

My son and I came in, for lunch. we are both over 6foot they put us in a small two person couples table. The place was 1/2 empty. The food was great but really some room please.
Why isn’t that Chuy’s of Springfield can never get a take out order correct?? I ordered a Steak Chuychanga with no sauce. I got chicken instead. I also ordered fajitas combo! THEY DID NOT GIVE ME THE FLOUR TORTILLAS I ASKED FOR! I had to go to a near grocery store to get them! Oh and NO BEANS which comes with the meal! My wife is upset because of the chimichanga and I had to reheat my food after I returned from the store! CHUY’s DO BETTER!!!!
Chuy’s in Springfield felt more Tex-Mex than authentic Mexican. The food was bland, the service was chaotic—almost all our orders were wrong—and the drinks were weak. Their sauces were the one highlight, but overall, not a great visit. Meh!
The food itself is not bad but the cleanliness is another. There was a cockroach in my water. I shared it with my waiter and he did his best to correct the issue but I had already drank a third of the water.
I don’t like to negatively rate a company that I regularly visit however, tonight‘s visit to Chuy‘s left a A lot to be desired. As soon as I got sat, Alexis said something to the house that sounded very negative. I didn’t quite catch what she said after that service went downhill. Alexis very rarely showed up to my table To the point I had to ask two different employees, one of which I believe was a manager for items. Also, while sitting and Trying to enjoy my meal With my significant other, I heard another server that was behind me call his customers cheap. Maybe it was a bad night but hopefully my next visit will be handled better.
They gave me green peppers in my cheese quesadilla when all I wanted was some cheese quesadillas with sour cream, how do you mess that up! 2 stars this is John T, signing out.
Very disappointed 😞 with Chuy's. Sat at the bar ,my husband's tacos were cold. It use to be our favorite tex mex in the area and we would visited regularly. Restaurant was not busy at all and food took forever.
Considering that Chuy's was selected for a reunion lunch by an excellent Mexican cook, I came away very disappointed. The decor is very colorful and clean. Our server gave us space and time for the reunion but was efficient, friendly and prompt. But this is a restraunt and, at the end of the day, it is all about the food. And the food was not good. Our friend the cook ordered 3 soft tacos, ate one and left two. Her husband, a notoriously ravenous eater, cleaned his combo plate. We ordered taco salads, mine with fajita steak, hers with fajita chicken. What we got was a medium house salad with a spoonful each of sour cream, guacamole, and salsa on the side and a small dish of vinaigrette. No fresh cilantro. No fresh lime. Some slivers of taco chips. The fajita steak appeared to be skirt steak well done with no hint of seasoning. Disappointing. This lunch was not the end of the world but it was one of the worst restraunt meals I have had in a while. I won't be recommending or returning to Chuy's any time in the future.

Sat down with a family of 5 and not even acknowledged. Finally had to go else where to get good service and food. Do not recommend this location. Have never had a problem with Woodbridge location
After waiting 45 minutes and watching everyone else get seated we tried placing a To-Go order but the language barrier was just too much and we opted to leave. Too many other options at Springfield Town Center with better service
Unfortunately, our experience was not good. The service provided was unprofessional, with a rude and dismissive attitude. We believe customer service is essential, and in this case, it was not met.
Even a 1-star rating is too generous for this restaurant. I ordered a whole Tres Leches Cake 24 hours in advance and called the next day for pickup, only to be told it was ready. When I arrived, they handed me a plain bread with all the components on the side and provided a weak explanation for their mistake. It was a waste of money to buy food there. The staff was impolite and offered excuses for their poor service.
I had a terrible experience when I ordered a meal to go. I know yesterday was father’s day and a day off at the same time, and busy, but that is not an excuse for what I got, so that I will add them as points below with pictures. Confirmation order number: 10666061871448066 First, I ordered Chicka boom boom, and it’s supposed to be wrapped spicy chicken in a burrito with cheese. But as for what I got, it was only cheese. Second I ordered smashed avocado guacamole. This price was close to $10, but the container is tiny. It turns out they filled the bottom of that container with lettuce and barely added avocado to the top, maybe half of the avocado. Moreover, they kept the leftover branch connected to the avocado inside the guacamole, which hurt my teeth. Lastly, I could also tell the food was not clean because I got stomachache and diarrhea right away after eating it.
This food was horrible! I ordered the burrito combo and a cheese enchilada. There was no refried beans, the rice was tasteless and cold (as if it was from previous day). The enchilada was thrown together and the sauce was burnt. If I can say one good word about this meal is that it is gone. I shall not purchase again. I should have gone to Anita's.
My friend and I came in and were unfortunately welcomed by a very rude hostess who gave us attitude, rolled her eyes, and showed zero customer service skills. When I asked a simple question, I was met with a dull, dismissive explanation. As I was getting up to go pay, I overheard three employees making comments about me and my friend. Two of them (a young gentleman and a young woman) were rolling their eyes and mocking us. It’s disappointing to say this, especially since our first visit here was amazing. Sadly, the environment has changed for the worse. Please address this issue and fix it, because guests should feel respected and welcomed, not ridiculed.
I am beyond disappointed with my experience at this location. I ordered food and was shocked to find bugs in my meal. This is absolutely unacceptable and raises serious concerns about food safety and cleanliness. The manager reached out to me immediately and had compassion. When their third-party claims personnel made outreach, it was unhelpful, dismissive, and honestly felt like they didn’t take the situation seriously. I didn’t want to accept that disrespectful amount. You never know how much I consumed. LNo customer should ever have to deal with this kind of issue, especially when health is on the line. I will not be returning, and I strongly urge management to take immediate corrective action. Guests deserve safe, clean food and accountability when mistakes happen. This happened earlier this year and this came to mind. Smdh.
I'm not going to name names partially because of the fact that it makes ZERO sense how from an entire restaurant of employees, I can place a CURBSIDE PICK-UP order (7:45PM), have it be ready apparently in 5 minutes (7:50PM), get to Chuy's at 8:00 PM... And have nobody run my CURBSIDE order to my car for twenty minutes (up until I walked in myself, 8:20PM). Yet I am here in my car with my neck craned waiting for my order, wondering why on Earth my food isn't coming out. Thinking, oh, I'd better stay in my car because of all these instructions to, do, exactly that? You might think, why not walk in yourself after 5 minutes, 10 minutes? Because this is a very clearly laid-out pick-up process and it would seem this location is not holding to the standard of the chain. I have dined in and ordered pick-up from Chuy's many times. Meanwhile I am seeing employees lounge around, almost no tables occupied, people being served. Does it really take 20+ minutes to run out one order of flautas and soup? Apparently it takes infinite time, because it would have sat there forever if I didn't walk in myself. I genuinely do not understand how this is even POSSIBLE. Not to mention I chose curbside pick-up and was intending on staying in my car, because I am sick! And yes, when I walked right in and asked the employee at the front who was literally in direct line-of-sight of my car sitting in the assigned to-go spot, the food was of course right behind them! Yet nobody thought to run out the only curbside-order on the table. And no, there was no good reason for why I had to wait in my car when I asked that question too, not even a proper apology nor offer for a refund, etc. This was absolutely the worst customer service I've experienced and the tip I gave in advance because I assumed someone was running my food out was absolutely NOT deserved, I wish I could revoke it. Absolutely shameful. Pick-up orders will go bad if they just sit there, they already have to accommodate the ride back which is why the staff and customer both must be cognizant of this. For me to pick up my own food and not have the employees abide by their own outlined standards is extremely confusing, upsetting, and downright unacceptable. And yes, my food was cold and I had to reheat it beyond the level of a typical delivery order! You can see I have nearly no negative reviews written on my page here. This treatment is just outlandish. You can see ALL the to-go curbside pick-up spots from the front counter, I checked from the employee's perspective. There are no acceptable reasons for why this should happen, at best it is customer neglect and at worst speaks to malicious intent or some kind of substance use. I mean, how do you forget an order sitting right behind you and a car sitting right in front of you?
