$$$ Went for "fathers day". We have eaten here many times, the atmosphere and staff are wonderful. BUT, this time, the foods were underwhelming. I had the eggs benedict with potatoes. First off, I have always enjoyed, nay, loved the eggs benedict here. Today? Not so much. The meal was bland, almost cafeteria style, and for $300 (for 2) I expect much better ( I know, expectations breed disappointment). The potatoes tasted like they were made last week, over-cooked and dry. My wife ordered the filet mignon with scrambled eggs. The steak was way overcooked. The desserts were amazing. The pomegranate mouse is heaven. It really is too bad. Loved this place. Will not be returning anytime soon.

Geoffrey's in Malibu is an exceptional dining experience that combines stunning ocean views with delicious cuisine. The location is unbeatable, right on the coast, offering breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean, especially at sunset. The menu features a wide variety of dishes, all prepared with fresh, high-quality ingredients. I particularly enjoyed the seafood options, which were cooked to perfection. The wine list is extensive, offering excellent pairings for every dish. The ambiance is elegant yet relaxed, making it perfect for both special occasions and casual outings. The staff are attentive and friendly, providing top-notch service that enhances the overall dining experience. While Geoffrey's is on the pricier side, the quality of the food, the service, and the incredible views make it well worth it. It's a fantastic spot for a memorable meal in Malibu. Highly recommended!

Geoffrey's was such a nice dine-in experience with the Family. The atmosphere was very friendly with such a scenic view. Our waitress whose name is Marvin was wonderful. The whole crew was super friendly and I definitely recommend this venue for either a family dinner or a large event. Now when it comes to their dishes I must say that quality and great flavors are their signature.Outstanding service above all, I definitely recommend it!

Most amazing view! I always come here whenever I visit Malibu. it is a must! The food isn't the greatest but they are still pretty good and very generous with their portions and the view makes up for it. The service is amazing here. Our server definitely made us feel welcomed!

Geoffrey's was just fantastic for our Anniversary dinner. Our food was delicious (I did have to add a little salt😋) and visually beautiful! We had such a great time from the moment we pulled down to valet. Everyone we encountered throughout the evening was absolutely wonderful and friendly. Our server was so attentive and kind the entire night. We'll definitely be returning during the day so we can enjoy a stroll down on the beach as well. OH the heating lamps outside between the tables made such a huge difference, as the nights can get chilly here, especially by the water.

All the food and drinks we ordered were phenomenal. Do be careful when eating oysters, as there are usually shards here and there and this restaurant is no exception. The baked brie is like dessert.. highly recommended. Lobster quiche and scallops were very well prepared. Raspberry lemon drop and amaretto sour tasted as good as they looked. The only thing that was sub par was one of the servers who wasn't exceptionally friendly and somewhat made us feel rushed. The other server, expos, hosts and valet were all over the top friendly and welcoming.

We had dinner here late one night. We really didn’t have a view but the experience and food were incredible. Was a great memory for us as we visited Malibu. Location is amazing and I bet the view is incredible during daylight. Can’t wait to go back and will be telling everyone to visit!

A perfect view with the perfect food on a fantastic day! We had a great lunch here today in a sunny California day with a nice breeze and a blue ocean as our view. What else can you ask for? The people here are so nice and friendly. We were greeted with a very friendly receptionist with a big smile. It had already made our day. On top of that, our waitress was amazing. Upon seating us, she brought water and introduced to us the restaurant's specialties. It was an easy decision to order our food as everything is good here. I saw a lot of people ordering salmon and Paella, so we got a herb crusted salmon and a Paella rice dishes. The salmon was cooked to perfection and the herbal sauce accompanied with the salmon was delicious. For my Paella, the prawns were gigantic and the scallop was juicy and plump. The flavor of the rice was right on with the right spices and it’s so Spanish flavor. I loved this dish. During our dining, we were so relax with the ocean breeze. With the beautiful ocean view, our foods seemed to tasted extra good. To totally enjoy spring weather in California, you got to come here for lunch. Parking is valet only as the restaurant has very limited parking spaces.

I LOVE GEOFFREY'S!!! I have been here several times. Each and every time has been an experience. I try a new dish every time and they never disappoint. Everyone is always so friendly. The do have an indoor section but I recommend sitting outside to enjoy the view. There is a path that leads to the ocean, I recommend checking it out. It can be a little chilly depending when you go. Bring a jacket. I was cold and they offered me a blanket. It was worth it to sit outside and enjoy the views of the ocean. -

This place is super perfect in every way. The food delicious. The service excellent. Party of 3 was 374+60 tip. Kind of pricey, but I don't do this kind of joint every day. Once in a blue moon. In this case a birthday.

Great place with a nice view of the ocean. They have valet parking and access to the ocean by walking the stairs down. Service is great and good was good too. We enjoyed our time there with our family and kids got happy by playing on the beach after our meal.

Excellent service The brie super creamy and sweet The scallops sauce and risotto is bland but don't take the wrong way, they elevate the sweet fresh scallops to another level Add tiramisu for perfect balance of sweetness

I highly suggest to change the pics’ tone on its IG. those over filtered pics made me feel this place was fake. It had naturally beautiful view by the beach. An interesting coastal access to take you to beach directly. I don’t know why on IG, this restaurant has to use those fake blue pics. Nature is so beautiful. You just have to pay a little attention, you can capture it in its real color. What a wonderful place for brunch, and lol a lot good-looking waiters here.

After years of hearing about Geoffrey's from a dear friend who dined thee frequently, I chose to take my girlfriend there for Valentine's Day. It was a Big Hit! Great ambiance, food, and service, and the evening weather could not better. We watched the moonrise as we sipped champagne and delighted in the lush surrounds and the mystery of the pacific. We will return!

Our visit to Malibu was on a cloudy day but this restaurant made it for the day. We got a table outside and the cloudy weather was cool not hot and it was a nice view to sit by the ocean. The food is good and the service is nice. We had a great time here. I’m sure if you are visiting from across the world like us you’ll enjoy it here. I

As soon as we arrived we were immediately checked in by the hosts. We were sat at a beautiful table with views overlooking the ocean. Our check in was 5:30 PM and the sun was still out but as it was getting closer to sunset the sky became a vibrant purple and red. Gorgeous. The food was timely and filling. I had a sea bass and my girlfriend scallops. Perfect for a date night. Service was excellent, but dessert was the best part. We got a warm marbled brioche bread pudding with a scoop of vanilla on top. Amazing.

Was super debating whether or not to give this restaurant a five-star. I ended up giving it the 5 because the beach view pretty much makes up for the little things that potentially lower the rating. The restroom was a little under expectations. Only two stalls and could have used an air freshener. Lol, phone service was down, too. Need wifi and parking is tight if you don't get a valet. Other than those minor things, food was on point, and drinks hit.

Today I visited this place for the first time! And what can I say?! I don’t want this moment to end. It’s truly flawless. I wish I could say I didn’t like it, but I can’t. The service was excellent, the food was delicious. The view is like something out of a Bounty commercial :) Thank you, guys. It’s definitely on my list of favorite places now.

Finally got a chance to come here. LOVED this restaurant’s food, cocktails and the location. We ordered a French Sunset and a Malibu Lava Flow. Both were great. Coconut shrimp was our appetizer (that was my favorite). Duck Two Ways and Sea Bass were our main course. Dessert, dessert is a must 😂 , we ended up with a Warm Brioche Bread Pudding. OMG 😋 Very satisfied 😋 Then we walked down to the water, it happened to be a full moon night, beautiful 🤩 Highly recommend this restaurant!

Geoffrey's Restaurant surpassed all expectations for my 30th birthday celebration. Originally booked elsewhere, a cancellation led us to this hidden gem, and what a blessing it was! From the moment we arrived, the staff took exceptional care of us, accommodating our request for an ocean view without hesitation. Our server, KEEVA, was an absolute delight. Not only did he provide impeccable service, but his recommendations were spot-on and delivered with a personal touch. From cocktails to cuisine, each suggestion exceeded our expectations. There was one drink in particular that was so delicious, I'm still dreaming about it, though the name escapes me now. As we indulged in our meal, KEEVA ensured we never waited long for anything, attentively checking on us to ensure everything was perfect. And when it came time for dessert, KEEVA surprised me with a beautifully presented cake topped with a candle and a heartfelt rendition of "Happy Birthday." It was a full-service experience that made my birthday truly memorable. The food itself was exceptional, worth every penny and more. The atmosphere, with the breathtaking ocean view and the serenade of dolphins playing along the Malibu coast, added an extra layer of magic to the occasion. For anyone seeking an unforgettable dining experience, I wholeheartedly recommend Geoffrey's Restaurant. And if you're lucky enough to be served by KEEVA you're in for an extraordinary treat. This birthday celebration exceeded all expectations, leaving me with cherished memories to last a lifetime.

I reserved a table here for Valentine’s Day on a whim after I couldn’t find a single other place with availability in all of LA. When my partner found out the name, she couldn’t believe it. “You got a reservation at… GEOFFREYS!?!” Apparently her friends in NYC were saying it was their dream to eat there someday. No surprise having experienced it myself now. It’s well known for its incredible food, breathtaking ocean views and elegant ambiance. As with most of the aforementioned, there’s a high price to pay. That became clear as the valet parked my old scion in a crowded lot filled with Lamborghinis and rare cars. The menu for the day was a preselected set just for Valentine’s but still provided a diverse selection of fresh, high-quality dishes, expertly crafted to satisfy various palates. Although the prices reflect the upscale nature of the restaurant, the impeccable service and culinary excellence made it a worthwhile splurge for such a special occasion. The attention to detail in both presentation and flavors elevated the overall dining experience, making Geoffrey's a standout choice for those seeking the best of the best in a refined taste of Malibu.

5 stars – A dreamy seaside morning! Absolutely enchanted by my brunch at Luca! The food was delicious – I had a light quiche with a fresh little salad and a plate of eggs benedict, golden potatoes, and perfectly ripe fruit. Every bite was amazing! The coffee was just right, and the mimosa with an orange slice added such a lovely touch. But the real star was the view: a cloudy sky, the sound of the ocean, and a garden full of flowers made everything feel peaceful and romantic. The perfect spot to start your day with beauty, flavor, and a little magic.

Geoffrey’s never disappoints! Been going here since 2001 and this place has not changed much. Last time here was about 10 years ago. Still same great service, food, and atmosphere! Keep in mind if you choose to park on your own, good luck! Highly recommend either car service or valet. The valet crew is so awesome and as always takes care of everyone with a smile! They were great with our driver. Super polite and accommodating when he dropped us off and picked us up. We love to sit at the bar. If you do this make sure you sit on the far side so you can see the ocean. Our bartender was great! Lots of personality and really enjoyed our time there. The food as always was excellent! We went on a Sunday. Sat and Sunday they have a great brunch menu.

The food was really decent. The service was great. It is not safe for 90 percent. It is not a safe environment, at all, ever. We had a decent wonderful time. Oh, something about reset of the mailbox or something which is the space before the stairs at or near driveway. I don't know. Ok, so, the small satchel known as a purse the size of the butt of a rifle is known as a rifle holder if that helps and we only know 12 guage and it might be 20 gauge. And the reset of the mailbox or whatever is super complex and like super easy for some. I don't want to know and don't call me, at all, ever.

We had great overall experience at this fine dine restaurant. Right from the food to the ambience, the service and not to forget the ocean-front dining view. The menu is very well crafted and every dish we ordered was just amazing. The cocktails were awesome and I highly recommended them.

Geoffrey’s isn’t just a restaurant—it’s a vibe, a mood, a love letter to oceanfront dining wrapped in white tablecloths and kissed by the Malibu sun. From the moment you step onto the property, it’s clear you’re in for something special. The panoramic views are jaw-dropping. We’re talking coastal cliffs, crashing waves, and golden light that practically demands you toast to life (and probably take ten photos). And while it would be easy for a place with a view this spectacular to coast on ambiance alone, Geoffrey’s brings the flavor and the finesse. Let’s talk tacos. I had the fish and shrimp tacos, and let me tell you—they did not arrive quietly. They strutted onto my plate like they owned the patio. The fish was perfectly grilled, lightly smoky, with just the right char to make your taste buds perk up and applaud. The shrimp? Succulent little flavor bombs. Juicy, seasoned with care, and piled generously—none of this “three-shrimp-and-a-prayer” nonsense. The tortillas were warm and soft but with enough backbone to hold all the goodness. Add in a tangy slaw, a citrusy aioli, and just a hint of heat, and suddenly I’m considering proposing marriage to a taco. I’m not even ashamed. Pair it all with a crisp glass of white wine, a light sea breeze, and the gentle murmur of waves below, and you’ve got a dining experience that feels less like lunch and more like a celebration of everything right in the world. The service was friendly but never fussy, professional yet relaxed—kind of like if James Bond worked in hospitality and also really cared if you were having a good time. So yes, Geoffrey’s is a splurge. But it’s the kind that pays off in blissful bites, beachy sunsets, and the kind of memories that cling to your soul like sand in your shoes. Don’t just go hungry—go ready to fall in love. Chefs kiss

My husband and I came here for the first time this past week. It was a Monday night dinner, just past sunset. We used Valet, was seated quickly and our waiter Arturo was amazing! I ordered 2 Raspberry Lemon drops (super yummy) We shared 12 oysters ( tasty but small in size) had the corn chowder top with crab cake (out of this world delicious) and both settled on the swordfish topped with arugula . This dish was a good portion, great flavor and super moist. We ended with the Blue Berry cheesecake (perfect balance, not too sweet). The view was magical and hearing the waves was a plus, they do use heaters since more than half the seating is outdoor with no coverage from the elements . Would definitely return. BTW my husband had a smooth red wine from Napa Valley. Our bill was slightly under 3 bills and well worth it. Go, move slow, enjoy the weather, food ,view and company of others. A Malibu Must!

Our first time visiting and it was lovely! We had wonderful and friendly staff who gave us food recommendations. The drinks, oysters, ahi tartare, paella and blueberry cheesecake were delicious. The vibes and the view of the ocean are phenomenal too. Parking on site is valet only for $15 bucks but we were lucky enough to find street parking along the road.

This place is great! Loved the flavours and the good food quality. Ambiance and views are amazing, and service was really good. We ordered the sea bass and the muscles and they were both cooked and seasoned perfectly! However, it is expensive, but can be seen as good value for money considering everything. Recommended!

It was a gloomy day but the scenery was still really nice. The server was really nice and helped us with questions of the food and always checked on us. Food was really good and everything tasted amazing. The crab cakes was one of the best crab cakes and the coconut shrimp was so good, probably the best coconut shrimp i’ve had. The paella also tasted really good as well as the salmon. 100% recommend and can’t wait to go again.

I recently had the pleasure of dining here, and it truly proved to be an exceptional experience. The ambiance, set against the backdrop of the moonlit ocean, was nothing short of heavenly. I wholeheartedly recommend Geoffrey’s to anyone seeking a memorable dining experience amidst picturesque surroundings.

Went here for Thanksgiving dinner. The food was delicious! Great view of the ocean! Attentive wait staff. The menu was prix fixe meals, with three choices in each of three courses. I completely enjoyed the time my son and I spent here! (BTW, there's a 2-hour table time limit.)

We LOVED this restaurant and the location. Excellent service and staff. We ordered an espresso martini and a watermelon drink, coconut shrimp and crab cakes for appetizers. The crab cakes were the only disappointment as the inside was cool to lukewarm and I don’t like it that cold. The scalps in cauliflower and pea risotto was amazing!! The swordfish was excellent as well cooked just right! The hazelnut bars are a must! You can walk down to the water and they ask that you spend no more than 15 minutes doing that. We had a two hour limit on our dinner seating as the demand is high! They have mandatory valet for $10 but there isn’t a parking alternative. They also add it to the bill and then include it in the total bill. I highly recommend this restaurant!

Had a wonderful weekend brunch at Geoffrey’s with my dad (and my dog). This restaurant has been (and is still) one of my favorite local spots to go relax with friends and family and get a bite to eat. They have great outdoor seating options with a beautiful view of the ocean. While Geoffrey’s may not be the most budget friendly restaurant in Los Angeles, it really isn’t the most expensive either. If you consider the history, ambience, food, and service of this restaurant, I think its well worth a visit. We ordered the Jumbo Coconut Shrimp, Eggs Benedict, and Geoffrey’s Paella. The jumbo coconut shrimp was crispy and well seasoned. Personally, not a huge fan of the dipping sauce, considering that the tomato chutney base is already sweet and the sauce was a bit sweet for my liking. However, I’m also not much of a sauce person to begin with. The eggs benedict was quite tasty and the paella, while a bit on the heavier side for brunch, tasted so good! Oh and the drinks? Definitely had to have more than one.

Went for Aunties 60th birthday brunch. The service was great! They had a special Sunday Brunch Menu. Food was wonderful, scalps were fresh, and paella was steaming hot!! Just how we like it. They were very accommodating to our needs and the view was breathtaking. 🌅 Love this restaurant and will definitely go back. Can't wait to try the dinner menu.

We had a reservation for 6, but since our hike ended faster than expected we arrived around 3. The staff was amazing and still sat us at (what would have been) an ocean view table, but it was rainy and cold. They quickly got us space heaters and attended to our needs. The corn chowder was good, but the highlight of the meal was the duck. It was perfectly cooked and I loved that it was served different ways. The drinks are pretty pricey for average taste. Overall I would definitely come back the next time there’s a group gathering.

So delicious!!! The food was fantastic! We had puff pastries, crab cakes, lobster, and duck. Everything was memorable and beautiful. The scenery was amazing, we were lucky to get an ocean view. Many people were here on this Sunday evening! It seems you must need a reservation in advance to even dine in. FYI: there is valet, which is $12 on Sunday. Such a great restaurant!

We were incredibly lucky to be able to get married at this beautiful location. I got in contact with Shaz At Geoffrey’s on the off chance we could pull off our wedding day due to it being cancelled originally due to the local fires. With it being very short notice I was amazed that Shaz agreed and made it all possible. We had the most incredibly day and we cannot thank Shaz enough for making it all come together. Geoffrey’s is beyond beautiful and we will remember our day forever

This is a amazing restaurant, the food and service was amazing. Our Hostess Angel was amazing. She checked on us multiple times and made us feel like home. It was also amazing that the manager came over and checked on us also since we were celebrating a family member birthday. I ordered the Salmon, it was perfectly cooked and seasoned. I requested additional lemons and it just made it over the top. Most of the prices are ranged from $12 and up. They also offer Valet parking which is $10. You can park off on the main road and walk up. They already have the the tip included with the check. However, with the service we received additional tips was definitely given. If you are from LA or just visiting I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Birthday Lunch at Geoffrey’s My sister-in-law took me to Geoffrey’s for my birthday lunch, and it was absolutely lovely—beautiful views, a relaxing ambiance, and delicious food and drinks from start to finish. Our server, Drew, was exceptional: witty, charming, and attentive. We started with cocktails—an Espresso Martini for me and a Bloody Mary for her—both perfectly made. For appetizers, we shared the Watermelon Salad (GF) with wild arugula, fresh watermelon, feta, toasted almonds, and an Italian-style vinaigrette. It was refreshing and flavorful. For entrées, I had the Sautéed Day Boat Sea Scallops (GF) with pea and cauliflower risotto and sweet carrot reduction—cooked beautifully and bursting with flavor. Michele ordered the Ahi Poke Bowl (GF) with cucumber, scallion, crispy garlic, avocado, sushi rice, and sesame chili vinaigrette—also delicious. To top it all off, we celebrated with Geoffrey’s Affogato Espresso Martini—vanilla ice cream, chocolate biscotti, and lemon zest. The perfect ending to a perfect meal. Overall, everything was wonderful—the food, the service, and the setting. A truly special birthday lunch.

Had an outstanding experience at Geoffrey's today all the way around. First and foremost, the setting, which overlooks the Pacific Ocean, is spectacular, which is one of the main reasons to visit here. The food and service today were excellent as well. This is one of the most well-known restaurants to dine in the area and now we all see why!

Dining at Geoffrey’s was an exceptional experience. The wagyu steak was executed flawlessly, accompanied by perfectly smooth and flavorful mashed potatoes. Each cocktail was thoughtfully crafted — balanced, refined, and truly delightful. The service was impeccable; the staff was gracious, attentive, and ensured every detail was taken care of with warmth and professionalism. The atmosphere was both sophisticated and intimate, creating a setting that felt both welcoming and special. While the parking area is limited and somewhat difficult to access, the availability of valet service adds ease and convenience. This minor detail does little to detract from what was otherwise a remarkable evening. Geoffrey’s is a true culinary gem, and I look forward to returning when I visit Malibu again.

Second time as we're not really local. Service was very good and the waiters were very nice. Atmosphere was very decent and reasonably upscale (not SUPER fancy), views were beautiful and serene. The food: coconut shrimp appetizer was good. Sauce did not complement it that well, and I feel as though it may not have been entirely deveined. Lastly, it comes with 3 pieces so you cannot share it. Seabass was pretty good. Can't say it wasn't good. I didn't notice a "fishy" flavor or any dark parts they hadn't cut off etc, good sear, bok choy and mashed potatoes were reasonably good. Overall I'd give this dish a 4 out of 5 it did not blow me away. Creme brulee was beautiful and was "good" but did not have that perfectly smooth buttery texture that I'd liked to have seen and was a bit "grainy". Overall I'd probably go back and perhaps try something different?

Just phenomenal. Been wanting to go here for years, finally made it happen. Was not disappointed. Made reservations for brunch and got a spectacular table with a view of the ocean. Coffee was marvelous. Bread was delicious. And the filet mignon was to die for, cooked perfectly. The staff were all super friendly and welcoming. Our hostess was super cool, like the type you want to have morning coffee with. Fantastic experience. Can't wait to go back.

Beautiful & relaxing experience and atmosphere. The blend of flavors profiles are very well balanced and consistentencies were spot on and really complimentary with the atmosphere. Customer service was very intentive towards our needs but not obnoxious. What did stand out was not only our entrees but the brie, tuna tar tare, and believe it or not the hazelnut dessert. These were wonderful starters and finishers due to there fresh and outstanding balance of paired flavors. The chocolate hazelnut sealed the deal and the entrees didn't lack at all. This is a perfect place for dinner or for any occasion. Our first experience was the best and in addition everything was made with love. Overall we were very pleased and cannot wait to visit again soon. ❤️

Lovely evening - the food was top notch. The Sea Bass was delicate and flaky with a perfect crisp around the edges. The swordfish was flavorful with slight smokiness and the arugula was a nice finish.

Geoffrey’s Malibu is an absolute coastal gem — offering stunning ocean views, exceptional service, and world-class cuisine in a breathtaking setting. From the moment you arrive, the ambiance feels luxurious yet relaxed, perfect for romantic dinners or special celebrations. The food is incredibly fresh. every dish is crafted with care. This place is absolutely fantastic! The view is incredible, and the staff is so friendly and welcoming. The food here is perfect, it’s not too salty nor bland; it’s just right! Jeez, even the bathrooms are nice. I highly recommend, 100/10!!

My boyfriend and I were listing over Labor Day weekend from North Carolina. It was our first time on the West Coast and this restaurant did not disappoint! The food was amazing and fresh. The servers were prompt and friendly. The view was immaculate. It was amazing to see the sunset over the ocean for the first time in my life while having an amazing dinner with my best friend. Thank you all! :(

Overall, the experience is so worth it. The view, ambiance, and service was great despite how busy it was. Surprised too how good the food was. Worth coming back and will definitely be recommending for friends when visiting.

My wife and I had the pleasure of enjoying Sunday brunch at Geoffrey’s Malibu, and it was truly exceptional. From the moment we arrived, the service was warm, attentive, and professional. The ambiance is unbeatable—stunning views, a serene ocean breeze, and a beautifully set outdoor space. The food was just as impressive. We started with a fresh watermelon arugula salad topped with slivered almonds and feta—light, flavorful, and refreshing. The crab cake benedict was cooked to perfection, with a rich hollandaise and crisp roasted potatoes. We also tried the quiche and baked brie, both delicious and plated beautifully. Every dish was thoughtfully prepared and presented, making it one of the best brunch experiences we’ve had in LA. Highly recommend for a romantic meal, special occasion, or just a perfect Sunday outing.

Incredible evening at Geoffrey's. The oceanfront setting is unmatched, but what truly elevated the experience was our server Dylan. Attentive without being intrusive, knowledgeable about the menu, and genuinely made us feel taken care of from start to finish. The Chilean Sea Bass was outstanding — perfectly seared with a ginger butter sauce that paired beautifully with the ocean breeze. The Sautéed Day Boat Sea Scallops were equally impressive — delicate, perfectly cooked, and rich with the pea and cauliflower risotto. If you're coming here, ask for Dylan. He turns a great dinner into an unforgettable one.

Wow , this place was such a gem! Our waiter was so helpful and kind. He recommended his favorite vegan dishes and they did not disappoint. I got the churrotini, the burrata salad, the acai bowl, and the thai curry. My husband got the omelette. The view was breathtaking. The food was so deliciously spiced and decadent. All acai bowls will pale in comparison to Geoffreys! The staff was the best part- from the hostess to the valet to the waiter, everyone was so kind and helpful.

My boyfriend took me here for a birthday brunch & we were both so happy with our experience. Staff were very attentive & helpful. The food was a little overpriced but it was very delicious and the overall experience made it worth it. The drinks recommended to us by our waitress also paired so well with our food! Not much of a drinker but I gladly had a second glass. Not to mention, brunch with a view was icing on top. We were also able to walk down to see the hidden beach tucked away down the steps after a lovely time at the restaurant!

Great food! Great views! Excellent friendly service from the valet, the host, and the server! The Baked Brie Appetizer was so good. The Scotch Benedict with salmon was nicely served on top of a very soft croissant. The potatoes were perfectly cooked. The fruits were so sweet. Easy access to the beach via a short staircase down.

Great seafood options! The brunch and lunch menus have a little something for everyone's likings! The Paella and the Sea bass were our favorites. As always, we had had to get the Lychee Martinis! We'll be back here soon.

I’m a repeat customer and the reason, in a nutshell, is it is consistently great food, attentive service and the perfect location overlooking the ocean. I love being wowed by new and inventive creations at restaurants, but fine food can be found in familiar ingredients in a restaurant with a great chef, staff and management. Geoffrey’s has been here as long as I can remember (40 years for me) and it never disappoints. It doesn’t hurt that they have great wine menu and I love their speciality drinks. You wanna spend a day at the beach in iconic Malibu? I highly recommend making a reservation here.

We were greeted by the wonderful host and confirmed our 530p reservation. My wife and I celebrated our 18yr wedding Anniversary and this place didn't disappoint. James was our server and he made our special evening much more personable. We have been to a lot of fine dining experiences but this one was just memorable. Everything was perfect to our standards. The seating, food, ambiance, view and most of all the service was spot on. If we had got there earlier we could have walk down to see the beach access. Definitely RECOMMENDED👍🏼and will comeback soon.

Geoffrey’s in Malibu is truly one of the most beautiful restaurants in Los Angeles. We went for Saturday brunch and it was absolutely amazing. The ocean views are unreal, you feel like you’re dining right above the Pacific. The service was warm, attentive, and professional from start to finish. Even though it was busy, everything felt smooth and well organized. The food was just as impressive as the views. Every dish was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. It’s the perfect spot for a relaxing brunch, special occasion, or just soaking in a classic Malibu experience. Highly recommend, especially if you can grab a table with a view.

Geoffrey’s in Malibu completely surprised me in the best way. I did not expect to find such a thoughtful and elevated vegan options on the menu, but the glazed tofu mushrooms were outstanding. Perfectly balanced, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The drinks were just as impressive. I grabbed a seat at the bar and the cocktails were crafted with care and creativity. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience feel welcoming without being overbearing. The only minor drawback is that the bar area is a bit tight, so it can feel slightly snug when it gets busy. Still, that did not take away from the experience. Between the fabulous vegan options, fantastic drinks, and classic Malibu atmosphere, I would absolutely visit again. A lovely spot for a stylish night out with a view and a great menu to match.

Great atmosphere. We dined here for lunch on a Friday afternoon. We had a great seat on the edge with an amazing view of the ocean and beachfront. At one point, we saw a small pod of dolphins swim by. The food was good - the chicken came out hot but the vegetables were lukewarm. The lemon caper butter sauce on chicken piccata was delicious, but the scallops could have used more flavor. Both desserts were very good and made in house. If I were to choose only one, the bread pudding is slightly better imo. The staff was very attentive, but we ordered the watermelon salad as a starter, and our main dishes came out before the salad. When we brought this to their attention, we found out our server had forgotten to put in the salad order at first. They brought the salad out later but we had already started our entrées. They offered to take the salad back and take it off our bill. I would have thought they would take it off our bill and just left it for us anyway.

More fancy than tasty with service that is just okay. The real draw here is the atmosphere and view. Was very tempted to give 3 stars overall. Tune tartar was good, but nothing special. Sea bass was drastically overcooked, especially since I asked for rare and instead received something that had been killed twice. The minced canned fruit on top of it was shockingly bad.

Stunning location, this restaurant is nestled by the beach. Reservation experience: Made a reservation on open table about a week prior. Ambience: One of the most gorgeous restaurants, by the ocean, lovely pink kalanchoes on every table. We did take a walk on their private beach after just how much we ate! Food: I know there are other things, but I was such a fan of the warm rosemary bread with butter. What a star combination. I’m inspired to make one myself. My omelette was quite a large portion size and fluffy. It came with potatoes and fruit. Tasted good. The bread pudding with the ice cream was amazing. We gobbled it down very very quickly. So much so that I was stuffed and had to take my hot chocolate to go. Wait staff: Excellent wait staff who gave us good recommendations. Value for money: Good value for money. The views and the food- made for a lovely weekend brunch.

You have to reserve this restaurant at least 2-3 days in advance. It’s view is beautiful ocean view, almost all the tables have a view. Their customer service is really good. I’m in love with their bread so good. I tried their corn chowder as an appetizer which had a crab cake in the middle and it needed a little more salt but overall I liked it. I tried both their duck and oven roasted chicken. The duck’s garnish was good but the duck it self, I’ve had better duck dishes. The chicken was stuffed and had gravy which was nice but nothing too special. I’m going back for their brunch though to see how that is.

I celebrated my birthday at Geoffrey’s & was very pleased with my choice. The pros’: the restaurant has beautiful views of the ocean if you’re seated outside and the inside is also nice & there are several drawings from celebrities on the walls. There is a path that leads to the ocean (which I did not take due to pressed for time). The food was delicious! The coconut shrimp was chrunchy, not overly cooked & the sauce was tangy. The chicken was so juicy & flavorful, the mashed potatoes were hearty & the asparagus was crunchy! Yummy! My honey had a bacon burger & fries, also good. The ice cream was creamy & the perfect size. The total bill was less than $200 for 2 people but it was my birthday so I deserved it, lol! The cons; it’s a bit far from the freeway exit, very little parking unless you valet & some of the views were of the rooftops of homes. I went on a beautiful sunny California day but I’m certain the evenings are just as beautiful.

hi all I had some free time today, I decided to venture out and celebrate Saint Patrick's Day in a unique setting. A friend of mine suggested going to Geoffrey's, a beach-side restaurant offering a picturesque brunch experience. It sounded perfectly fitting with my love for beaches and new experiences, so I stepped into the adventure. Upon arrival, the initial challenge was parking. This seems to be a popular spot, so if you're planning on getting there, I'd recommend doing so before 2 pm. After that, finding a parking space becomes a somewhat complicated treasure hunt. Do keep that in mind! As for Geoffrey's itself, the ambiance was indeed enjoyable. Picture this - an expanse of shoreline framing the horizon as you sip on your coffee, the serene rhythm of the lapping waves providing a tranquil background score. While the ambiance was the highlight of the visit, I must admit it was not as breathtaking as I had expected it to be. Now, moving on to the service and the food, I would unfortunately have to mark both as 3 out of 10. The waitstaff, while cordial, lacked promptness, making the service a bit lackluster, despite their attempts to be accommodating. There is definitely room for improvement. To be forthright, the quality and taste of the food did not quite hit the mark either. I genuinely believe that with a little tweaking, they could significantly improve and match the level of renown that Geoffrey's seems to have achieved. I do stress, this feedback solely reflects my personal experience and may not align with others' experiences. For those of you who enjoy sharing your culinary experiences in the social realm, especially YouTubers or influencers, Geoffrey's might be worth adding to your visit list to see if your experience differs. As always, I remain an advocate for trying new things and sharing our honest feedback. In the end, it's our authentic opinions and reviews that help grow and shape our community.

Celebrated a birthday and the ambience and service was wonderful! Shoutout to Angel for being incredibly kind to us! The only thing is that she seemed overworked as she was one of the only servers for a large section of the floor. I wish there was more ambient lighting as we were eating in the dark for a bit. Food was great, personally I wished things were more seasoned. Best dishes: coconut shrimps and scallops

A hidden spot in Malibu, nice ambient and welcoming atmosphere. they have a big outdoor patio facing the ocean. food selection is basic and not over whelming. Could be crowded, so make reservations. food quality is good, however I did expect more for seafood since this location is right by the ocean. the crab cake was delicious and authentic. Valet is not complementary.

The location, the views, the proximity to the ocean, and the service are 5/5. The food however is 4/5. I don’t feel it’s a foodie location nor is food the main draw, but it’s definitely still worth going to because of the overall experience and location. It hugs the ocean in north Malibu and the views are honestly beautiful. It’s very large on the inside and they have many different seating options to choose from. Our server Kennedy did a terrific job and was honestly one of the best parts of the meal. Parking on the street is not possible so valet for $12 will be your option and will be added onto your bill (not including the tip). I started off with the Watermelon Salad and it was pretty good although I felt there was too much arugula and not enough watermelon or feta. For my entree I chose the Pacific Swordfish and it was cooked very well although the sides were a bit bland, with too much arugula on the side again. Finally for dessert we chose the Brioche Bread Pudding and it was also pretty good, but not as moist as I prefer and the caramel sauce on it was honestly not enough. Overall a good experience due to the location but it’s not a foodie destination or someplace you’ll crave for days after eating it. In retrospect I would suggest it for brunch instead of dinner.

Leonard Lang

Arriving without a reservation on a Thursday evening at 6:30 PM, we were promptly seated, suggesting comfortable capacity at that hour. While the bar accommodates those seeking only drinks, the coveted ocean-view tables are reserved exclusively for dining. Valet parking is available for $12 (potentially validated), though there's also limited street parking directly in front of the venue. The ambiance on the terrace was thoughtfully arranged. Fortunately, we were offered a truly exceptional table on the terrace, directly overlooking the sea. Despite the evening chill (around 16°C), heaters ensured a warm and relaxed evening. Service was clearly a highlight—professional, attentive, and gracious. A notable moment: one of the cocktails didn’t quite suit our taste, and the staff exchanged it without hesitation—an elegant gesture that speaks to their commitment to hospitality. Overall, the quality of cocktails were amazing. Our culinary selections—a filet mignon and glacéd tofu—were well-presented, though both featured sauces with a pronounced sweetness that felt slightly overbalanced and did not fully harmonize with our palate. The accompanying asparagus to the steak, while grilled, could benefit from a gentler sear or an alternate preparation that allows its natural flavor to shine without introducing charred/smoky undertones. While the cuisine provided a satisfactory experience, it would appear that the establishment's pricing structure heavily reflects its exceptional location and the associated views. One minor drawback, especially considering the price point, was the absence of tablecloths on the outdoor tables. For an establishment within this price range, it was a somewhat unexpected detail and broke a bit the ambience. All in all, Geoffrey's Malibu is undoubtedly a spot that thrives on its spectacular location and the accompanying view. It feels like a significant portion of the premium goes towards this unparalleled ambiance. While the culinary execution was certainly good, it didn't quite reach the level of a first-class experience one might anticipate given the overall pricing and location. If you're prioritizing an unforgettable setting and attentive service, Geoffrey's is a strong contender.

Great food and atmosphere but service was ehh. From the hostess not being hospitable not even one smile. Then I requested a table over seeing the beach clearly they sat me on one that kinda blocks it. The older hostess said no that there isn’t service in that table and 10 minutes later she sits a couple there. I sincerely hope it wasn’t racially motivated. The server giving me a well done steak instead of medium well and her vibe was kind of off. Other than that the food was very good and you could walk to the beach and they give you a 15-minutes limit.

You come here for the view of the beach which is the main attraction especially if you get a good seat. I decided to take my wife here for her birthday so I made reservations ahead of time off OpenTable and told them we were celebrating a birthday so I wanted a table with good view of the water. We arrived early and use their valet parking because it's easier than finding street parking. The valet cost is already added to your bill so you don't have to worry about cash except for tip. We arrived early so we took advantage on walking down to the beach first. We checked in like 20 minutes before our reservation time but they were still able to seat us with a great table with good view of the water. Our waiter was Marvin and we thought he was great with us beside not telling me that the soda is not free refill. That was my only complaint with him but I didn't want to dispute so I just paid it but give less in the tip. My wife got the Pan Seared Chilean Sea Bass for her entree and a Georgia Peach martini for her drink. I got their Herb Crusted Salmon and ask for french fries for my sides. My wife loved her peach martini and of course her Sea Bass. I thought the Salmon was a bit dry and didn't have much favor but Marvin came around asking if I wanted crushed black pepper so I asked for that on the Salmon and fries. It helped a little but not that much to me. We finish off the night with a ice cream dessert where Marvin sang Happy Birthday to my wife. I would recommend coming here and making reservations if you want to experience a good view and some good food but just know that the soda does not have free refills.

One of the nicest spots for a restaurant along the coast with views from almost every table. Had a very nice late lunch..The food was good and the being right on the ocean is terrific. The place itself is a bit dated, but still nice. Highly recommend the lobster cobb, which has a pound of lobster- much more than most lobster cobbs. The Asian chicken salad was also good. They have a nice selection of white wines by the glass. They would not seat me while my husband was parking, which was bit annoying because their parking was backed up, which does happen there when they are busy. Hasn’t been for a while and was defiantly a good choice.

Nice view , nice service and ok food. We enjoyed everything beside “little extra charge “ to bill which explained as a some percentage added by owner because he did not increase prices since couple of years. We objected and they corrected bill according our objection. Thanks Geoffrey’s , it was a nice dinner.

We been regular guests at this restaurant for over 16 years and drive all the way from the Valley to enjoy Malibu ocean views and comfortable dining at this restaurant for atmosphere of the surroundings and that’s always been the reason why we are here, but customers service and food , that’s the most what needs to be improved here… Last visit was disappointing more than usual . Marcy, the waiter was rude, arrogant and obnoxious. She made insulting comment , like you are too bossy , since we asked few requests with table seating location and then we ask to put heater warm, she jacked up to full blown both of them and disappeared, when came back she said, well I want you to guys find out how hot it is yourself, instead of adjusting accordingly. Food this time was just ok. Menu has not changed much for decades and for a most -expensively unjustified… Second waiter , the Hispanic Fella Mr. Garcia-Rodriguez was nicer, but tried to kick up prices on final bill to the roof, without even mentioning prior the cost of it ( so we can decide we want to pay or skip it) We had an appetizer, corn soup , which was just ok honestly , to simple , not much seasoning , seafood and fish. Prices are honestly higher than in Beverly Hills. For quality of how was delish, would not recommend. Besides ordering a dessert , we asked if any little cookie or side cup of coffee biscuits may available( you know like in Italian restaurants they put next to coffee or tea cup, as complimentary little treat), the answer was @not really”, but then our waiter brought little hard , old tasting thing 2 inches and we hoped it would be definitely at no cost. ( or no more than 0.50 c ,could not process more then half bite, was way to old and hard , without discussing and at the end were charged $2, seriously? That’s beyond unreasonable for regular returned guests. Besides $9 was added , without even asking to fire 🔥 victims? Excuse us, but there is no fire at this restaurant and by law should not be even added, what a scam. Had to talk to Chris , the manager, whose comment was , nothing is free. Nice and professional one! Please train your employees to tell all costs upfront, not just bring bill close to $300 without even drinks . I would change the manager and employees there too. Putting 3 stars, but for insult meant leaning towards to 2 stars. We love food and fine dining a lot , as well travel all over the world to experience upscale dining, but never met rude waiters. No wonder at her age she is still hassling , as a waiter. Hope you guys get better and improve your legendary spot to next level .

I had the opportunity to go to Geoffrey's this week and was super excited about dining at this "famous" Malibu restaurant. Arriving at the restaurant is convenient, it was $12 mandatory for valet which is added on to your bill. Also, If you have an EV they have complimentary charging. After meeting with the host, we were immediately seated. I will tell you that there is no guarantee of the view you will get here, however, if your reservations are shortly after sunset it doesn't really matter anyways. Views - if you're coming here for the views, do it during the day or early sunset. Food - 6/10. I wasn't impressed at all. I ordered the sea bass and I've had sea bass at many places before, however, this was dry and not super flavorful. Salmon was also dry. The corn chowder and crab cake was the best part of my meal. Cocktails, ok. Service - 3/10. I expected phenomenal service for a restaurant of this caliber. Our server made no suggestions, never asked if we wanted more drinks or water, never asked how the food was and what topped it off was he didn't check on us for 48 mins after initially bringing the food over. I was very surprised for a 5 star restaurant. Based upon this I can only give a 3. Would I return? Maybe, but my expectations would be low and it would only be for drinks and food. If you're in the area, give it a try, but have low expectations service and food wise

With a round of cocktails, we started with appetizers and worked our way to entrees. The cheese plate is average, funny the bread that comes with the cheese plate tastes better than the cheese. You don’t have as much cheese to pick from anyways. The oysters were not as good as I thought would be and so was the crab cake. However, the tuna tartar was really good🔥 after having a similar consensus on the table, 3 out of 5 decided to just sip their cocktails and skip entree… while the two salmon orders were placed - result was average. I might come back to try it again and of course for the great service and view.

Great ocean views, friendly service, good food. Very pricey for the meal. I think you're paying for the view. The cons, the restroom was messy and out of the 2 stalls, one was out of seat covers and toilet paper. The restroom should reflect the restaurants' vibe but it doesn't. Also we asked 3 times to have a heat lamp turned on and they forgot the entire time. We had salmon, steak and oysters; all great but a bit overpriced.

We came as a large group, and the restaurant clearly had enough space to seat us together. We were there for brunch, but were told that if we wanted to sit together, we had to pay $185 per person. I understand this type of minimum spend policy for dinner or large evening events, but it felt unreasonable for brunch. The requirement was to order three meals per person, which is simply unrealistic, and it also assumed a level of alcohol consumption that is not typical in the morning. Because we declined the minimum spend, they seated us at three separate tables. Even though there were tables close to one another, they intentionally placed us as far apart as possible. The food itself was very basic and did not justify the pricing or restrictions. The view, however, is absolutely stunning and was the highlight of the experience. Unfortunately, the staff had noticeable attitude and seemed intent on ensuring we did not have a good time once we refused to pay the $185 per person. Overall, the service and policies overshadowed what could have been an enjoyable brunch.

From the moment I stepped out of my vehicle for valet parking, I felt a sense of calm from the ocean view from all angles. The sun was beautiful and high but the shading umbrellas do not adjust when the brightness is too much to enjoy a meal. The tables, however, do adjust and getting decent coverage from a bright overhead sun while dining is possible. There was the low volume chatter among patrons that was not disturbing, interrupting, or distracting. Easy to enjoy a meal in peace. The service was as to be expected. The food was adequate but one dish completely failed - the glazed tofu with five mushrooms. I let the waiter know it did not meet my expectations but I thought perhaps I had just filled up on my first two items. That wasn't it. When I got home to try it again, it was confirmed yuk. I threw it away. All other dishes were fine these were: jumbo coconut shrimp, watermelon salad, brie in puff pastry, and lump crab cakes.

Restaurant was pretty, seated promptly for our reservation. Service was pleasant. Food was average, nothing special. Price point very high for the food presented. Paid $12 valet plus $5 tip. Car parked at end of restaurant lot. Returned covered in sap, purple bird poop. My freshly washed car was demolished. I called the manager Brian, he was unsympathetic. Stated he would review video footage. Never heard from him again. An email complaint to their website went unanswered. I feel he should have offered to pay for wash, or remove the valet charge. It's not unreasonable to expect they are responsible for parking under a known tree in their lot and destroying my car. Not a great experience. For a $200 lunch, I had to go home and wash my car. Yuck

You are really only paying for the view, which is beautiful, but the food is disappointing. Went for dinner and the food tasted average at best. Ordered the paella and Chilean sea bass. Note, the paella is not the Valenciana paella, but even then the paella was subpar. Also, our service was super slow. Our server took forever to greet us and get our initial drink orders. We were sitting ducks while other tables were being attended to in a timely manner. One can have a similar view elsewhere with much better food and service. Side notes: parking is $15 valet and there doesn't seem to be a dress code. People are dressed casually.

The worst service ever. The food was disgusting we just tried and sand back it. The ceaser, the crab cakes are really worst. The waiters and the manager as well. Don't waste your money there guys. …

I figure it must have been the leftovers from the previous evening... Watermelon salad had a splash of vinegar and was tasteless - awful, brie appetizer, just as bad. Burger, husband could not finish, scallops edible but size and flavor were unimpressive. Then, we got a scoop of vanilla ice cream and there was frozen french fry in the dish. I've eaten there several times over the years and I will say we will never go back. We were so disappointed in what we thought would be a lovely meal. And to boot, prices were just ridiculous - it's one thing to get a subpar meal but to pay the price really left a 'bad taste' in our mouths. I suspect there is an absentee landlord... and one more thing, the waiter though very nice, called us friends and asked ".. How are we doing.." What does that even mean.

Called ahead to see if they had indoor eating and they did. Upon arrival we were immediacy turned away by parking attendance and we could hear them speaking with each other asking we looked and if we looked like we had money but they were talking in Spanish. Definitely disappointed in how this establishment chose to treat us and will not be coming back. Hope they take this into account for future customers.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was really disappointing. The view is stunning, but the service did not match the reputation or the prices of the restaurant. The staff seemed cold and inattentive, and the overall experience felt rushed and unwelcoming. When you come to a place like this, you expect good hospitality along with the beautiful location. Sadly, that was not the case for us.

We stopped by Geoffrey’s for a light brunch and to enjoy the beautiful ocean view. Since we weren’t ordering a full meal because not that very hungry—just a few snacks—we didn’t expect any issues. While waiting for our food, we stepped briefly to the stairs to take a few photos. We were quickly told that our food was at the table, and shortly after, a manager came by and told us to “hurry up” because we were “blocking the way,” even though no one was around or trying to pass through at the time. Despite the attitude, we still tipped above average out of courtesy. But as we were leaving and took a couple more pictures near the front of the restaurant, we were met with eye rolls from the receptionist. What made the experience more uncomfortable was that we were one of the only Asian parties there, surrounded mostly by white patrons, and yet we were the only ones who seemed to be treated as a nuisance for simply taking photos—something many others were also doing without issue. It left us questioning whether we were being singled out unfairly. This was supposed to be a calm, enjoyable visit, but we walked away feeling unwelcome and disappointed.
