Opiniones de Panchita's Place Brooklyn
The restaurant has a fairly upscale vibe, and the take out menu is amazing. The margaritas were amazing.
This place is outstanding. Everything we ordered was delicious. Wait staff was extremely nice. Prices reasonable. Can’t wait to go back.
I loved this place. I have been a lot of mexican restaurants but there’s very good fajitas and drinks. Thanks for servers
Best Mexican food and drinks we’ve ever had. Guacamole, birria tacos, carnitas and fish tacos, Paloma 5/5. Bury me here
Can't recommend Panchita's Place enough. Wonderful food, good drinks, and good staff. This is on our short list of restaurants for brunch, lunch, and dinner.
ordered delivery and fell in LOVE. super quick, accurate order with delicious food & lemonade. would recommend!
Slamming tacos! Just ordered from grub hub! And they came quick! Definitely want to go sit at their restaurant next time
Great food and great service! Alittle out of the way but the food but this place is spot on. Try something off the drink menu!
A rare gem in New York City: authentic and excellent Mexican food in a relaxed and warm environment.
Every thing was great, they have a flan for dessert that is dynamite. You have to try it, you won't be disappointed!
The food was delightful, real Mexican food. Like LA We will go back, great service also.
Very good food and friendly experience. Great atmosphere.
Great new place on 5th Ave Brooklyn if you're looking for authentic Mexican. Also offers Tex Mex for the nostalgia of something north of the border
Best in the area. Can't go wrong w anything. Super nice people :) Quesadillas and all the meat and cheese options are high quality and mind blowing. Don't forget the cilantro and onions! After reading the amazing reviews tonight, will be ordering the "five-star quesadillas" tonight!! <3<3 <3 Panchita's Place!
They are my hangover cure and it’s soooooo good! The ranchero breakfast bowl is in this taco shell that is so light and flakey and yet chewy at the same time. I usually eat so slow and anytime I eat here I just devour it all in one sitting.
I am so glad I found this place during my Brooklyn walk. They have a super nice service and incredible food. I had the fajita with mixed meet. Delicious. Just be careful with the very spicy salsa!
My experience here was some of the best I've ever had around the area and the staff was amazing but especially Jose,he was very friendly and attentive to our needs and was an overall great server we will come back here as often as we can!
So glad I found this place !!! Food is delicious and authentic flavors. the drinks are fantastic!!!! Mixology at its finest! Can’t wait to go back . A friend of mine told me about this place and so glad I went. Definitely on my list and will go back.
I'm always on the hunt for interesting Mexican restaurants and was delighted to find Panchitas which offers upscale regional dishes in a casual setting. We've eaten several meals here and will now put it in our regular rotation. Each dish has been carefully considered with a level of care not usually found in casual neighborhood spots. I appreciate the little touches such as a range tasty salsa options. Every dish I've ordered from the soups to the rib eye to rabito ala Mexicana has been delicious. The drinks are A+ and I'm a fan. of the small outdoor seating area. The Greenwoood Heights location is a bit sleepy (if Panchitas opens a branch in Park Slope it will always be packed), but it makes for an easy night out.
Formerly of Los Angeles & Mexico, my husband and I currently rate this place as the best Mexican in BK. Fonda can be a bit too precious and the local burrito joints while they hit the spot tend toward the same limited menu. Northern Mexican cuisine is all ranchero and grilled meat so often the best burgers and steaks can be found hidden in some Mexican menus. The ribeye and the Pat LaFrieda burgers here are as flavorful, and fresh as their tacos and burritos. They have a complete line up of fresh salsas from the smoky to the lime, aqua frescas, and margaritas in fresh fruit flavors and even better, the menu is largely nut safe for the kids with the allergies. Freshly made churros with chocolate in original Mexican manner - not too sweet, and just right! Personally I'd encourage the usage of real pork lard with the homemade chips but I appreciate their more health conscious approach :-)
Lunch and brunch menus are both superb. Great drinks and nice little place. If you’re hungry after visiting Greenwood Cemetery don’t miss this spot!
Great service, amazing food, very nice ambiance. Avocado fries best I ever had, for my first time there, will definitely go back with my lady and bring friends when they come from out of town.
If you're looking for tacos, these are fine. But if you're looking for poblano pulled chicken, queso fundido, or an amazing mole quesadilla—this is your place. Lots of fun items on this menu. They also do delivery well; it usually arrives hot. When the pandemic ends, I'll need to go IRL and check out the margs.
Fresh, healthy options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner -- plus they're serving to-go margaritas during NY on PAUSE aka Covid. The guac was delicious and lots of vegetarian options, but you can also get an LA style french fry burrito if you need one. Stop in after your walk in Greenwood Cemetery!
Awesome brunch. Great menu selection. Reasonably priced. Beautiful indoor space. I live around the block but only just tried it for brunch, but will definitely be back!!
Love it. The food was great, the service was great, and the atmosphere was also great. I personally love everything. Chef, love your food and all the details, delicious.
Cozy place, attentive and friendly service. I love their fish tacos: the best. Been coming here for over a year. Have yet to disappoint.
Excellent Mexican food (shrimp tacos and esquites highly recommended), super-friendly staff, top-notch mezcal (and mezcal margaritas). This place is a gem - great spot!
I really like their happy hour and I especially think they make a really nice al pastor quesadilla. The decor inside is very nice too
Had the enchiladas and they were absolutely amazing! Cute place and wonderful staff that was super helpful and nice. Will definitely becoming back with friends.
Our favorite date night place! Guacamole is awesome and the fajitas are super generous. Service is always friendly.
Love this place! It's got a Creative Mexican Brunch menu, nice drinks & friendly staff. Highly recommended!
Literally have never had a bad order from them in the past year. Burritos are great. Wet burritos are heavenly. Chicken tortilla soup is delicious. Healthy quinoa bowl is flavorful. Fish tacos are on point. The enchiladas are tasty. Their breakfast dishes are awesome. Their house made chips are hearty, and their guac is great. What got me to write this review however was on a whim ordering a burger from them tonight and it was, in fact, great. I wouldn't be surprised if they started serving sushi and it was also great. 10/10 will order again
Panchita’s is one of the best restaurants in the area, hands down. The staff is incredibly friendly and the food is always SO, SO fresh. It is impossible to leave a single bite behind. We love the super nachos, and the brunch bowls and tacos are delicious. Also, their burritos in general are amazing. They cut them in half which has to be the best way to serve a burrito—you don’t lose any of the good stuff when you pick it up and begin to eat!!!
This is one of my favorite restaurants in NYC. Good, tasty Mexican/Caribbean cuisine. I love the mole sauce (lol). Serving sizes are good. So are the prices. And the wait staff are so nice and polite.
Happened upon this beautiful, almost hidden gem this Monday. Had a pulled chicken burrito bowl. At 1st glance, looked pretty bland, until the first bite! An explosion of amazing flavor and taste! As I'm sitting, here awaiting my fish tacos, I'll review at a later time. Oh, yes, the lemonade was an explosion of freshness. 5+ 🌟
Found this place either on Yelp or Google and it's my new favorite spot for brunch, dinner, drinks, whatever. The most important thing about this place is that everything they make from alcoholic drinks to coffee is fresh. I mean to say that the juices they use for margaritas are freshly squeezed and pureed. The quality of the drinks here have raised standards for other places I go to. Every drink perfectly strong, flavorful, and extremely well made. Now for the food - holy moly. Bursting with flavor in every bite. The sauces they use from sour cream to hot sauce is all fresh and homemade. Warm, homely food with the right touch of spice. I'm craving food from this place just thinking about it. Just the right portions and delicious! Please please go to this place. I love it so much and will definitely be a regular. I'm not even going to mention the service because it's absolutely outstanding. Go here, give it a shot (pun intended) and you won't regret it.
Brunch was amazing! Ambiance was great as well as the food and service. The price for a meal and bottomless mimosas (of which there are many flavor options you can mix and match) was pretty good for the neighborhood. Will definitely be coming back!
Ate here with hubby and we absolutely enjoyed our meals! We had the fried shrimp tacos (cornmeal battered) and the enchiladas suizas. OMG the food was SO good! The tomatillo sauce for the enchiladas was the best i've ever had! Amazing flavors, excellent customer service and my spicy hibiscus margarita (made skinny) was the cherry on top! Definitely check this place out if you're looking for top notch authentic mexican food, you wont regret it!
I LOVE this restaurant. In town for a three day event and it was so good, I came here three times! The Panchita Lime soup was absolutely phenomenal. I had it all three days I visited. The apps were a perfect portion size that left plenty of room for dinner. Service was excellent. I can’t recommend this place enough!
This place earns every one of its 5 stars. My partner and I have ordered from here dozens of times and covered a lot of the menu, and it is all delicious. Ingredients are above average in quality and everything is prepared to perfection. Perfectly crisped taco bowls, beautifully spiced chorizo, fresh and delicious tortillas. I cannot recommend them enough, and special orders are no problem. In all our orders, they have only gotten something wrong once, and by the time we called they already had it on the way. Thank you, Panchitas for being exceptional!
I have loved this place for a long time, but particularly grateful for their care and amazing service in COVID times. Their food is excellent and their menu has a lot of variety with excellent ingredients. They really care about food, and are always making nice additions and changes. And they make fantastic cocktails.
First the staff. Sweet welcoming and personable. The place was immaculate which during these crazy times is CRUCIAL!! Now....the food! YUM YUM and more YUM!!!! I had shrimp fajitas. Fresh and delicious! So many dishes I still want to try. Definitely going back!!!
This is my favorite neighborhood spot. It has a quiet, relaxed atmosphere for dining in, but it's also a great delivery option. They have many tasty vegetarian options for me (I love the taco melt and burrito with sofritas) but my omnivorous spouse loves their food as well. Try all the salsas, they're phenomenal. They also have a great brunch menu. I'm a fan of the huevos divorciados.
I just had their food for the first time via delivery. Oh boy! I had the steak quesadilla and it was hands down one of the BEST I’ve ever had in my life. Also, the sauces they serve with it are very high quality and tasty.
Panchitas Place is AWESOME. Can’t say it enough. Been here with my fiancé for date night, on so many occasions, and every time it’s fantastic. Drinks delicious and good pours, food DELICIOUS, and we’ve tried up and down the menu. From salads and apps to steaks and enchiladas, 10 outta 10 would recommend. Be sure to ask for Vinnie- he’s the MAN‼️‼️
The past few days I've been ordering a build your own salad from Panchitas for lunch. I ADORE IT! i could eat from here everyday. They have so many options and everyone in my office enjoyed their meals as well. It's rare we all like the food from one place and EXTRA rare that we eat from there two days in a row.
This place has very attendant staff which is hard to find nowadays especially the staff member Jose,he gave us amazing cocktail options as well as appetizers and he also helped us modify any special request,it was our first time dining and we will definitely come back again!
Just had Panchita's catering for a party over the weekend. It was a huge hit. The only problem was I had very little leftovers!! I'll have to order more next time. Thanks again!
Great place. Incredible owner/chef. He really gets creative and does some cool stuff you dont often find in Mexican restaurants. This guy is authentic but not boring!! Pure heavenly spices and flavors everytime.
Have ordered out twice from Panchita’s and will be coming back. My partner and I just moved to the South Slope area and this restaurant has been our favorite. Coming from Southern California, it felt like a taste of some of the food from back in my hometown.
I'm not a fan of Mexican food, but everything I had was wonderful. We had the queso with mushrooms and spinach appetizer - fabulous. I got the lime shrimp skewers which were amazing. The shrimp was cooked perfectly and the seasonings were great. We got there early and the place was empty so service was quick. They got busier, but the service never suffered.
I’ve heard quite a bit of rave reviews from the Park Slope Together/ Circle FB groups about Panchita’s and I pass by it every day so I figured I’d finally have a date night here- It lived up to the hype!! The ambiance was top notch to include dimmed lights and a friendly staff, our (real) table candle was out but that was fine. We had the super nachos with sautéed mushrooms and spinach for an app and chimichangas - sautéed mushrooms and skirt steak. Everything was so AMAZING!!! The app was a great size, not too large or small for two people. The chimichanga was everything that one should be crisp but not greasy, a small side of arugula salad and guac (!!!!) and our server advised us they were really hot. From the beginning to end (yes i finished this deep fried burrito, it was so good!) it was extremely delicious and still warm. Will go back to panchita’s realllly soon!
My wife and I dined here on Monday while visiting family in Park Slope. Our server, Rosie, was a delight. She was so willing to share the highlights of their menu and offered several suggestions based upon our food preferences. The food was wonderfully delicious. My wife thoroughly enjoyed her vegetarian meal while I inhaled my pulled chicken enchiladas. If you go there, don’t skip on their margaritas. The food was so great that we went back 2 nights later. If you go there ask for Rosie and she will take care of you.
Enjoyed a cozy dinner with my husband at Panchita's Place! The attention to detail is impressive, and the flavors are delicious. We loved the crunchy carnitas tacos with pork rind, perfect flautas, and fresh guacamole. Great prices, amazing drinks, and superb service! Highly recommend!
This was our first visit to this restaurant and they were exceptionally surprising. Firstly the guacamole was the best I have had and the chips was also really good. I ordered off the brunch menu and I had the omelette with grilled chicken I was blown away by the taste , the flavors from the veggies to the chicken really took this omelette to another level. The drinks were good also I recommend the mango peach margarita. Lastly I cannot complain about the service the staff was polite and professional. Panchitas Place is worth another visit.
Everything was so flavorful and so fresh. Something is simple as The Chop Shop Salad was unbelievable, avocado fries delicious the shishito peppers were out of this world with the steak. The staff was so friendly and patient, didn't rush us at all. Even desserts were special. Simple place with a full bar and the mixed specialty cocktails, while not heavy on the alcohol, were very imaginative and full of flavor as well. Can't go wrong.
Great drinks and the food has been impressive the several occasions I have dined here. The chef knows what they are doing. My latest selection was Camarones in Morita Crema (Chipotle Shrimp Bisque). Their micheladas are top notch and they give you the option of what beer to use they are my girlfriend's favorite. The most common patron here seems to be couples so it looks like a good date spot.
Speaking entirely from the delivery experience, this place is absolutely awesome. Scrumptious Mexican digs full of flavor, beautiful sauces, everything arriving as it should (hot/crispy/on time) and you can really just taste the freshness. These folks clearly take pride in what they do!
This place is small, cute and seriously feels like my Latin grandmothers kitchen. Nicely decorated and although small it’s spacious enough to feel roomy. The staff are friendly, attentive and will even take a picture for you if you requested. My tres leches French toast was the best I ever had. It was sweet, yet yummy and the French toast (spanish style) was made perfectly. This place is a hidden gem, perfect for breakfast brunch and lunch. But don’t forget they do dinner exceptionally well. GO HERE!
Awesome vibe, food, and staff. The mango habanero margarita was excellent! They serve by the pitcher or glass. You can also order it with no alcohol. Appetizer and main courses were delicious. We ordered donitas (mini donuts) and they were okay. Everything else was great. The staff was attentive, friendly, and nice. Will definitely come back!
Came here for happy hour on a Thursday, the drinks and tapas are great. I got the margarita mezcal, someone got the tequila. We tried some special shots as well. The tapas went so well with the drinks, we got the fried avocados, the chips and guac, and the jalapeño poppers. I would definitely come here again, there’s parking around and the drinks are good, the service is great as well.
Food and service: typical Tex-Mex food, quite tasty and elaborate. It is a good option considering the price/quality ratio. Avocado fries were delicious. Atmosphere: quiet and familiar. Ideal for having a pleasant conversation without having to force your voice. Staff: only one person attended the tables, but he was very attentive and polite. I liked the fact that they didn't bring the bill until we asked for it.
Amazing low key brunch not to busy but amazing food. Especially the brunch.
I have lived in this neighborhood for many, many years, and admit to the New Yorker thing of "not going past _____ street", but leave it to Covid for me to discover this little gem. The Margaritas are excellent, as is the queso fundito and the guacamole. The staff are really nice and it is good family atmosphere. I will keep going back.
Great venue! Small restaurant but the food was delicious and the portions were great. I was still hungry eating at another nearby restaurant that has fairly small portions and discovered this little gem. Great place and I recommend that you stop by if you are in the area.
First experience with south slope mexican. Flavors were bright, loved the queso, and tamales. No kids fare but we made do. Worth it for the guac!
Been wanting to try this place for a while and booked Mother’s Day for dinner with the family. Everyone was impressed with how delicious everything was. From the homemade guacamole, quesadillas, entrees and deserts, everything was fresh and tasty. Service was super polite and friendly. You can tell they care about what they do and I would highly recommend. Nice people, very good food.
Had the tres leches pancakes which were good until I bit into a raspberry that tasted spicy. On Friday I ordered tres leches French toast bc they were switching up their menu the coming Sunday. The tres leches French toast was OK, sauce was watery, and I bit into a cherry that tasted like garlic. Not sure why this is happening like if it is my taste Buds or perhaps utensils are not being cleaned well or perhaps folks are using the same utensils for different items. Loved the desayuno campesino, although next time we should be asked how we like our eggs and steak (rare, well done, etc). Loved that our hot drinks, cafe de Olla con leche and Mexican hot chocolate came in clay cups. It tastes better that way haha. Honestly may come here again just for the way they serve their hot drinks. Nice indoor hacienda style.
overall the restaurant cuisine was fine for a Mexican spot but it lacked pizazz. had the fish taco and the guac, and the crew I went with didnt remark on how great the food was. they had a happy hour that lasted til 9pm which was the best part with 4 dollar beer. it's good if you want a chill ambiance and okay food
Reasonably priced and good portions. Friendly and attentive owners. We were here for brunch. Family oriented.
Food is ok. Specially the shrimp and the fish. But if youre in the fence between this place and another one, and its your first time eating here, and youre big into having your order, correct and big on the attentiveness of the waiter to get your order correct. This is not the place, specially with their passive agreresive attitude when they are informed that your order is incorrect. Dont come here if youre "Hangry" they will make it worst 😐
New to the neighborhood and this place was recommended. We ordered take away and were underwhelmed. The corn salad had only a sprinkling of corn, platanitos were soggy (looked and tasted like sweet yellow bananas sliced lengthwise), churros were a bit stale. Tres leches cake was ordered but we were told they were out and they suggested substituting the Oreo cheesecake -- what they gave us was a cut half of a round, personal-size cheesecake dessert that was stale and dried out. From the reviews it seems that eating in is a better experience, but too pricey to take a chance with disappointing take away.
I have gotten takeout from here a lot. The flavors are different every time but the food has been good quality overall. They have a good ribeye. Stopped in for an afternoon snack. We (2) were seated and waited several minutes without menus. I didn't keep track of time but it left us wondering what was up. Then the server came to tell us that the tables were booked up at 6:15, more than 90 minutes later. He said we had to move outside. It felt very off. We could have had menus and something to drink while they took time to figure out their seating. The whole dining room was booked? And they didn't know? And we couldn't have the hour (max) we planned for a quick meal? Eh.
Ordered breakfast for takeout here after hearing their food is delicious. I ordered the Tamales and Tres Leches French Toast. The Tamales were very good and equally balanced with great amounts of Chihuahua cheeses. The Tres Leches French Toast was good but probably much better to order in house diving for this. Overall pretty good breakfast. The Avocado Fries were amazing!!!
Pick up order to go. Place looks nice, service was friendly and attentive. Ordered a skirt stake bowl and skirt stake tacos. Waiting was not too long. The bowl was good. The tacos were also good but stake on both plates was cut on pretty big pieces. And the ones on the taco were left with a lot of fat. For a $14 bucks taco another half a minute in preparing the meat will have travel a LONG way for me.
I don't even want to be a hater, because if I'm buying food out I want to go a local place. But, it was pretty bad :( I received no-spiced-not-at-all-with-the-vibes ground beef in a not fully fried 'chimichanga.' There was almost 0 cheese and a bunch of peppers? It tasted like a philly cheese steak without the cheese and flavor in a weird doughy shell. Literal skin of onions in it. Kinda nasty. I ate it anyway because food, but it was the one and only 'indulgent' meal of this week and boy I picked the wrong place. I ordered one margarita and it was three slips large. I'm not sure what to make of that, drinks are relative. But overall, sad moment.
I was very disappointed by Panchita's business practices. They forgot to give me a side of plantains and I called the next day to see if I could pick those up. They refused to give them to me because they had no evidence of the last days orders. (This seems rather odd to me, having worked in the service industry myself for years). They just lost a loyal customer.
Sorry guys I love mexican food but this place is not really good I order a chicken quesadilla we start since I add chicken to my quesadilla + 3 dls The original price 10 dls + 3 chicken +2 guacamole I dont mind pay extra for something I will enjoy but the chicken was super dry no flavor on it also kind of burn with the grill marks but not the ones that makes you enjoy the meat the ones that said you are gonna regret it The guacamole was ok but the pico de gallo the was fermented totally a mess Sorry guys the place looks ok and the service was ok the food not really
Food was decent but price is ridiculous. Paid $50 for 2 plates and the amount they served wasnt worth it. 1st and last time .
Never get the steak quesadilla. When I saw what I got I was blown away, it wasn't even a quesadilla. It was like a peporinni pizza with less then 12 small pieces of steak on it. Can't believe I paid 15$ cause that was the worst quesadilla ever
Place smelled like cat pee when I went inside to pick up my food...so first impressions were not great. I ordered a wet burrito, but didn’t expect it to be soaked through with watery liquid. I’m not even kidding, I poured out about a full cup of water/liquid that the burrito was sitting in. It was supposed to have a salsa borracha topping, but was instead just covered in what looked like smashed tomato and melted queso fresco. The charcoal chicken inside was 100% a pre-formed and frozen chicken ‘breast’ à la Tyson Brand. I’m already starting to feel a little sick, honestly. I’d steer well away from this place and go to Jalapeño King for take out.
I ordered from here and everything was missing.
I ordered from this place on seamless. I don't often have such a negative experience ordering but this place was awful. It was over a half hour late when I called the restaurant they said my food was still in the kitchen. I asked if there was anything to could do like add an appetizer or something to make up for the wait. They could not. Paying almost 10+$ in delivery fees and tip on a 40$ order is pretty crazy for an order that's going to come late. I tried to cancel and as I'm in the process of cancelling almost 10 minutes later the food arrives. The food was extremely mediocre. The California burrito was tiny and had all of 4 french fries in it and a huge dry piece of chicken in it. They did have really good hot sauce but that wasn't nearly enough to make up for the other disappointments. I don't plan on ordering from this place ever again and I would avoid ordering on seamless if I were you.
Ordered food for delivery. An hour later called to check in and they said they were in the "making it phase." Not very nice about it, asked me if I wanted to add to the order despite the fact that I was checking in about not receiving the order. They said 20 minutes more. Another hour later (2 hours after placing the initial order and one hour after calling), still no delivery. They prioritize their in-person dining over delivery, but if that is the case and they are busy, they should close the kitchen to deliveries on busy nights and not lie on the phone about it.
First time ordering form this place and this will be my last I ordered the queso dip with flank steak in it and I was sent a block of cheese definitely not a dip, I also ordered tostones and you can tell it was already sitting there for god knows how long and they refried it it was as hard as a rock I would never order from this place again waste of $45 I attached pictures so you can see what they thought we were just found to eat NEVER AGAIN!! Please tell me what kind of queso dip is that 🤮
