Panchita's Place Brooklyn Reviews
I'm not a fan of Mexican food, but everything I had was wonderful. We had the queso with mushrooms and spinach appetizer - fabulous. I got the lime shrimp skewers which were amazing. The shrimp was cooked perfectly and the seasonings were great. We got there early and the place was empty so service was quick. They got busier, but the service never suffered.
I’ve heard quite a bit of rave reviews from the Park Slope Together/ Circle FB groups about Panchita’s and I pass by it every day so I figured I’d finally have a date night here- It lived up to the hype!! The ambiance was top notch to include dimmed lights and a friendly staff, our (real) table candle was out but that was fine. We had the super nachos with sautéed mushrooms and spinach for an app and chimichangas - sautéed mushrooms and skirt steak. Everything was so AMAZING!!! The app was a great size, not too large or small for two people. The chimichanga was everything that one should be crisp but not greasy, a small side of arugula salad and guac (!!!!) and our server advised us they were really hot. From the beginning to end (yes i finished this deep fried burrito, it was so good!) it was extremely delicious and still warm. Will go back to panchita’s realllly soon!
My wife and I dined here on Monday while visiting family in Park Slope. Our server, Rosie, was a delight. She was so willing to share the highlights of their menu and offered several suggestions based upon our food preferences. The food was wonderfully delicious. My wife thoroughly enjoyed her vegetarian meal while I inhaled my pulled chicken enchiladas. If you go there, don’t skip on their margaritas. The food was so great that we went back 2 nights later. If you go there ask for Rosie and she will take care of you.
Enjoyed a cozy dinner with my husband at Panchita's Place! The attention to detail is impressive, and the flavors are delicious. We loved the crunchy carnitas tacos with pork rind, perfect flautas, and fresh guacamole. Great prices, amazing drinks, and superb service! Highly recommend!
This was our first visit to this restaurant and they were exceptionally surprising. Firstly the guacamole was the best I have had and the chips was also really good. I ordered off the brunch menu and I had the omelette with grilled chicken I was blown away by the taste , the flavors from the veggies to the chicken really took this omelette to another level. The drinks were good also I recommend the mango peach margarita. Lastly I cannot complain about the service the staff was polite and professional. Panchitas Place is worth another visit.
Everything was so flavorful and so fresh. Something is simple as The Chop Shop Salad was unbelievable, avocado fries delicious the shishito peppers were out of this world with the steak. The staff was so friendly and patient, didn't rush us at all. Even desserts were special. Simple place with a full bar and the mixed specialty cocktails, while not heavy on the alcohol, were very imaginative and full of flavor as well. Can't go wrong.
Great drinks and the food has been impressive the several occasions I have dined here. The chef knows what they are doing. My latest selection was Camarones in Morita Crema (Chipotle Shrimp Bisque). Their micheladas are top notch and they give you the option of what beer to use they are my girlfriend's favorite. The most common patron here seems to be couples so it looks like a good date spot.
Speaking entirely from the delivery experience, this place is absolutely awesome. Scrumptious Mexican digs full of flavor, beautiful sauces, everything arriving as it should (hot/crispy/on time) and you can really just taste the freshness. These folks clearly take pride in what they do!
This place is small, cute and seriously feels like my Latin grandmothers kitchen. Nicely decorated and although small it’s spacious enough to feel roomy. The staff are friendly, attentive and will even take a picture for you if you requested. My tres leches French toast was the best I ever had. It was sweet, yet yummy and the French toast (spanish style) was made perfectly. This place is a hidden gem, perfect for breakfast brunch and lunch. But don’t forget they do dinner exceptionally well. GO HERE!
Awesome vibe, food, and staff. The mango habanero margarita was excellent! They serve by the pitcher or glass. You can also order it with no alcohol. Appetizer and main courses were delicious. We ordered donitas (mini donuts) and they were okay. Everything else was great. The staff was attentive, friendly, and nice. Will definitely come back!
Came here for happy hour on a Thursday, the drinks and tapas are great. I got the margarita mezcal, someone got the tequila. We tried some special shots as well. The tapas went so well with the drinks, we got the fried avocados, the chips and guac, and the jalapeño poppers. I would definitely come here again, there’s parking around and the drinks are good, the service is great as well.
Food and service: typical Tex-Mex food, quite tasty and elaborate. It is a good option considering the price/quality ratio. Avocado fries were delicious. Atmosphere: quiet and familiar. Ideal for having a pleasant conversation without having to force your voice. Staff: only one person attended the tables, but he was very attentive and polite. I liked the fact that they didn't bring the bill until we asked for it.
overall the restaurant cuisine was fine for a Mexican spot but it lacked pizazz. had the fish taco and the guac, and the crew I went with didnt remark on how great the food was. they had a happy hour that lasted til 9pm which was the best part with 4 dollar beer. it's good if you want a chill ambiance and okay food
I have gotten takeout from here a lot. The flavors are different every time but the food has been good quality overall. They have a good ribeye. Stopped in for an afternoon snack. We (2) were seated and waited several minutes without menus. I didn't keep track of time but it left us wondering what was up. Then the server came to tell us that the tables were booked up at 6:15, more than 90 minutes later. He said we had to move outside. It felt very off. We could have had menus and something to drink while they took time to figure out their seating. The whole dining room was booked? And they didn't know? And we couldn't have the hour (max) we planned for a quick meal? Eh.
Ordered breakfast for takeout here after hearing their food is delicious. I ordered the Tamales and Tres Leches French Toast. The Tamales were very good and equally balanced with great amounts of Chihuahua cheeses. The Tres Leches French Toast was good but probably much better to order in house diving for this. Overall pretty good breakfast. The Avocado Fries were amazing!!!
Pick up order to go. Place looks nice, service was friendly and attentive. Ordered a skirt stake bowl and skirt stake tacos. Waiting was not too long. The bowl was good. The tacos were also good but stake on both plates was cut on pretty big pieces. And the ones on the taco were left with a lot of fat. For a $14 bucks taco another half a minute in preparing the meat will have travel a LONG way for me.
First time ordering form this place and this will be my last I ordered the queso dip with flank steak in it and I was sent a block of cheese definitely not a dip, I also ordered tostones and you can tell it was already sitting there for god knows how long and they refried it it was as hard as a rock I would never order from this place again waste of $45 I attached pictures so you can see what they thought we were just found to eat NEVER AGAIN!! Please tell me what kind of queso dip is that 🤮
