Literally some of the best food I have ever had. Beth and Chef Chris (the owners) were so welcoming and gracious, that along with the staff, they absolutely went out of their way to ensure our experience was as enjoyable as could be. A huge thank you to their whole team. We will absolutely be back!
Stopped here on a work trip through Alabama. I'm from Chicago and live in Raleigh-Durham, NC and this is the best meal I've had in months. The pan-fried chicken is perfectly crispy, laid on top of incredibly fluffy mashed potatoes (I am picky about my mashed potatoes). My co-worker got the quail and waffle benedict at the waiter's request. Perfectly battered. Add in the great service and well-crafted old-fashioned - you have a five star experience in Atmore
Delicious! excellent service. food was SUPERB. and the Pecan cheesecake... OH..MY....WORD. Fantastic! Pan roasted chicken with mashed potatoes and green beans... wish I'd gotten a pic of the cheesecake but it didnt last long. highly recommend stopping in when headed south, in the area or anywhere close by! definitely glad we stopped in! we may stop back in for seconds on our way back!
Awesome five star food for three star price. Menu is fabulous, Tea pork chop and the Train Wreck are our favorites. The kids were happy with the simple kids menu. Tonight we both had the special: snapper with a delicious sauce, the best cheese grits I've ever eaten and perfect asparagus. Cleaned our plates. Atmosphere and antique industrial decor is charming, had to explain to the kids what the Edison lights and a phone booth were.
Looks like they dont need another 5-star review, but here goes! I was visiting Atmore on business and looking for a good place for dinner besides the casino. Found Gather on-line. I had dinner at the bar top. Great, professional service, attentive staff (JP), excellent food, and decent prices for the quality. I had the fish special (pan seared red snapper with shrimp sauce and pimento grits) and it was fantastic. The pimento grits are not to be missed. Overall an excellent experience. Will be back when I’m in the area.
My husband and I have been to gather many times. This past week we had the opportunity to dine here for their New Years Eve dinner. This is a set menu of items typically not served. It is by far the best meal we have ever had. We have had many luxury meals in the past but the flavors that Chef put together to form this menu were outstanding and complemented so well. Beth (also owner) was so incredible as well, she gave me wine suggestions for each course and was such a pleasure to talk too. This will forever be one of our favorite places and we cannot wait for the next special menu night. We will be there!
Great find. My wife and I were in town for her business. I was her driver and entertainment. We found the reviews on Yelp about Gather and had to visit. Gather is a smallish venue. So it was crowded when we arrived and chose to sit at the bar. Eric, the bar tender was knowledgeable friendly and attentive.we had both of his suggestion. My wife had the double cut pork chop. Very flavorful along with the side of brussel sprouts with the honey balsamic. I had the duck and wish I order two plates so I could of had left overs. If we are in the area or close by, we'll be back
I visited this restaurant while in town for business. It was one of the best steaks I’ve EVER had- and I eat out a lot!! The pecan pie cheesecake was “to die for”. I will definitely be returning to Gather restaurant, SOON!!! Oh, forgot to mention the mixed berry margarita- awesome:)
A true Gem! This restaurant is the embodiment of true service professionals!! Whether it is in the dining room, or you are lucky enough to get a seat at the bar with Eric as your bartender, you will surely not in any way be disappointed with service or food. I have been here a few times and the quality and consistency are NEVER lacking. There is a clear Love and attention to detail in their menus (Food and Drinks) If you are in the area and can make it here, you would be absolutely missing out if you didn't. Reservations are a must, as they keep a packed house. Keep up the fantastic work!!
Excellent Southern fare. Pleasant restaurant. Food was delicious and portions abundant. The Redneck nachos are actually seasoned pork skins. The Brussel sprouts were superb, and the fried mozzarella was well superb to typical mozzarella sticks. And plenty of bacon even on the iceberg salad.
I’ve had Best lamb chops at this place. The fresh bread with fresh cream was amazing. The ambiance is cozy and rustic. The staff is friendly and helpful. It’s family owned restaurant and you won’t be disappointed. Huge shoutout to the chef who prepared mouthwatering delicious food items. Definitely recommend this place 👍🏻
We found this hidden gem looking for restaurants to eat at before we went to Wind Creek. Service, food, and atmosphere were all amazing. I had the salmon special and it was one of the best, if not the best, salmon entrees I’ve ever had. We had the crab imperial appetizer, and it was awesome. The fried pita chips were very good. Dessert was the pecan pie cheesecake and it was a great end to an overall amazing dining experience!
A breath of fresh air! This wonderful gem is located in Atmore Al! Finally a casual/upscale restaurant with high end food, wine , and signature cocktails! What a treat! Rustic almost steam punk atmosphere lending its decors to the old rail days. The menu and drink menu is exquisite! We had the duck breast in blueberry bbq sauce over red potatoes fires and the salmon filet in a piccata sauce… wow on both! Chef hot or outta the park! We also had the lemon drop martini made with grey goose vodka and the aka side Porch ( a delish bourbon cocktail) to start. With dinner we also had the Avalon Pinot Noir which paired perfectly with the duck and an old fashioned which was muddled and made to perfection. We topped our evening meal with the fresh peach bread pudding and the pecan cheese cake… do I have to say more? Portions were ample for the price which is very competitive. Service was spot on, street parking or a small lot is available. They open at four pm and are busy from the get go and I can see why! Reservations are recommended. Full bar and indoor dining. Wheelchair accessible. Very clean. Great place for a larger after work group to a couple looking for an intimate setting. If in the area and want a treasured dining experience away from the casino, I Highly recommend the Gather! Nom appetite!
Absolutely some of the best food I've had in a while, duck wings and brussel sprouts, for starters , then the pork chop and alfredo for the main course with peanut butter pie to finish us off. If you're looking for a night out, look no further , the atmosphere is very welcoming, and management is doing everything right to keep people coming back!
A friend suggested this restaurant. We were driving to Mobile on I-65 and she said it was a short detour. I looked at the google reviews and the website and decided to give it a try. Wow! This is a really good restaurant. The brussel sprouts are among the best I have eaten. The shipwreck is a shareable meal. The wine list is excellent as well. We sat at the bar and really liked the bartender. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Absolutely wonderful experience here on Thursday night. Hank our server knew the menu inside and out and was great the entire night. This was one of the best meals I’ve ever had, Atmore is lucky to have this establishment! I had the steak fries, Caesar salads , creamed corn and the pecan cheesecake for dessert. The oysters were the best I’ve ever had as well but failed to get a picture.
We went to Gather last night to celebrate our 10 year anniversary. The entire experience was fantastic from beginning to end! We made a reservation online with ease. We were welcomed by the friendly hostess and taken to our table. Our server, Chris, was very knowledgeable about the menu and very attentive to our needs-checking on us frequently to see if we needed anything. Chris was outstanding! The food: We took Chris’ recommendations and tried the Hillbilly Hummus as our appetizer, the Train Wreck and the Beef Tournedos as our entrées, and the Blueberry/Peach Bread Pudding for dessert. Everything was fantastic! Highly recommend!
This place is a big fish in a tiny pond. I wish I could give more than 5 stars. Everything was wonderful- drinks, apps, entrees, and dessert. My husband is a tough critic but he would not stop talking about (and dancing over) how delicious the lamb was. Our server Chris went above and beyond to recommend wine pairings and describe the dishes. The owner checked on us multiple times throughout our meal as well. We drove an hour and 15 minutes to eat here and it was definitely worth it. We will certainly be back.
This resturant is a hidden gem, hole in the wall resturant. The atmosphere was unique and inviting. The service was excellent. The server seemed to know exactly when he was needed. The food was some of the best I have ever eaten! The presentation of the food was beautiful! An excellent experience all the way around. We will definitely be back!
The. Absolute. Best. After last night this became our new favorite restaurant and Christmas tradition with family. Everything we had to eat from appetizers to the main course to dessert was A++. Top flight service and a warm welcoming atmosphere. The experience couldn’t have been better. Can’t wait to go back and try everything else on the menu.
We went with a large party, which can sometimes mean a longer wait or slow service, but this was not the case! Food was delivered timely and it was delicious!! My favorites were the local mushroom appetizer, the Brussels, steak fries, and the pork chop but the lamb was also tasty! We will definitely be back!
This place is a must if you are ever in the area or passing through. Delicious food made with fresh ingredients, great atmosphere, and excellent service. We have followed these Brussels sprouts and this chef from Baldwin County to downtown Mobile to here. Although I haven’t tried everything on the menu, I doubt there isn’t anything I wouldn’t love.
What an absolute gem in the heart of Atmore, AL! Gather is such a charming hometown restaurant with so much to offer. I started off with a Moscow Mule from the bar (perfectly made!) and the Pork Belly “Burnt Ends” — oh my goodness, they were to die for! So much flavor in every bite. For our entrees, I ordered the Big Momma Burger — juicy, flavorful, and downright amazing — and my husband had the Heritage Pepsi Pork Chop, which was out of this world! We finished the night by sharing the Signature Pecan Pie Cheesecake, and wow… talk about a slice of heaven. From start to finish, everything was incredible — the food, the drinks, and the cozy small-town atmosphere. Gather truly is an Atmore treasure, and we can’t wait to come back!
Went there with my wife on her bday. The food was delicious and definitely worth the price. We sat at the bar, and the bartender was very nice and social despite it being busy. We had an amazing time. It definitely is a hidden gem, but one worth finding. The drinks were also A+.
Probably one of my favorite restaurants that I’ll make the hour drive for. The staff are amazing and the food is top-tier.
Absolutely delicious food here. The Brussel sprouts are divine. We did not make a reservation, so we waited only about 20 minutes for a bar seat. Highly recommend.
My wife and I drove up from the beach last night for dinner. Had been wanting to try Gather for a long time. I have to say that both of us kept repeating “this is SOO good”. The most delicious food I can remember. Fresh bread is light and delicious. My wife had “The Trainwreck” and I had “The Shipwreck”. Both were absolutely amazing. Nice atmosphere and the service was the best. Will be back as soon as we can!
Didn’t have a reservation but they still got us a table very quick. Best food i’ve ever had in a “middle of nowhere” town in the Deep South. Everything was cooked in the classic southern style that I enjoyed tremendously and our server, Eric, was really nice. My boyfriend who I was with is from the Northeast and he was so happy to have such wonderful authentically cooked southern food. Left a great impression and would love to come back again. Thank you!! Also the portions are pretty big which was nice, even for the appetizers.
Don't miss this on your next trip anywhere NEAR Atmore!! You will want to come back to try each dish!! A beautiful, quaint place that is worth waiting for!! Great service, great atmosphere and DIVINE DISHES!!💕
We drove an 1hr+ to get there from Pensacola, FL. I waited years to visit this restaurant and finally had the time to do so on vacation. I'm so very glad I had the opportunity to go. The ambience was eclectic and homey and it was lovely. The staff was friendly and attentive and the food... was outstanding! My husband and I had the hush puppies, steak fries, top sirloin, ribeye, chocolate butter cake and pecan cheesecake. The only thing I had out of that entire list that I thought could use some improvement was the hush puppies - but honestly my top sirloin entree was so delicious, I didn't mind!! My highest compliments to the chef! I hope we'll be able to come back again real soon.
My first trip here, had the Caesar salad, ribeye and mashed potatoes. My wife had the Caesar salad with the petite filet and potatoes. Everything was perfect! One of the best steaks (meals) we’ve ever had. We topped it off with the pecan pie cheesecake and it was amazing. We had the best server also…she was very sweet and very attentive the entire time. We will definitely be back!!
Wonderful experience, delicious food, great cozy atmosphere, amazing service. Highly recommend
Every visit here is a special treat. We have been a handful of times since they first opened. This isn't a place we can visit often and has become a dining place for special occasions. Each visit is consistent and the staff is well trained, smiling, and makes the place feel warm and inviting. We went yesterday (4/2/24) to celebrate a birthday. My wife had the sirloin and I had the ribeye. Both steaks were cooked well, plated neatly, and tasted great. Opted for some coffee and dessert. The butter cake was fabulous and the coffee was a perfect way to end the meal. We both look forward to the next time we can celebrate together at Gather.
My wife and I went new years eve for their special meal. And my god it was worth every penny. All 4 courses of it. Family atmosphere lovely staff and never had to ask for anything. We will be back for sure.. multiple visits in our future.
The best crab cakes I’ve ever had and a delicious filet too. The fried cheese and bread were also amazing. The desserts were outstanding and capped a great meal. It’s also so convenient to be able to make a reservation and not deal with standing in line.
Just awesome! Everything was so good. Pork belly appetizer, salad, & chicken fried steak. So enthralled that I forgot to take pix😂
Several friends and I drove from Mississippi specifically to this restaurant to celebrate a birthday. I was hesitant because of the 3 hour round trip drive but let me tell you… this restaurant was absolutely worth the trip! We had a terrific bottle of wine to accompany our incredible food. Everything we tried was amazing. Scallops, tenderloin, lamb chops, and brussel sprouts. Make a reservation and treat yourself!
Great spot. I was passing through from out of town and wanted a sit down dinner. I sat at the bar. The staff was very pleasant and friendly. They didn't mind making recommendations which I really appreciate. I had the Pork Chop and a side of cornbread bites. Everything was great. 5 Stars for the good service and tasty food. Listen...5 Stars for the time and place. I'm not suggesting this is Michelin Star material. But certainly I'd recommend Gather over a lot of big name restaurants in big town that take the same money and serve less.
If you are traveling on I-65 in the evening, or staying in the area, Gather is the place for dinner! Chris was our waiter and did a fantastic job! Our Food arrived quickly and HOT! He was on top of drinks and did a fantastic job! The food was delicious - especially the pork belly burnt ends and the oysters. The desserts are prepared in house - the chocolate butter cake was superb! Highly recommend Gather!
We made a reservation for dinner last night at the Gather Restaurant. There was plenty of parking available, no wait time to be seated, the drink and food service was timely and the food was good. This might end up being your favorite place to dine however, for me, it was just not equal to the prices. If a restaurant doesn't open until the evening and charges over fifty dollars for a ribeye, I would have expected that the water and tea were served in glass rather than plastic. Although there were cloth napkins, a cloth tablecloth would have been much nicer than the bare wooden table. After all, this has been presented as an "upscale" dining establishment. Another thing you may like is the food presentation but it just wasn't my cup-of-tea. Frankly, I prefer to be able to take a bite of this, that or the other separately rather than having my vegetable, starch and meat served all in one pile. Another thing they do is add an extra fee onto your bill if you choose to put your meal on a charge card. Thank goodness we didn't share our food or we would have gotten charged extra for that too. One more thing, the online menu has not been updated to reflect the actual in establishment menu.
Service was really nice, they made sure not to cross contaminate anything since one of us has server allergies food was really delicious
What an amazing restaurant this was the food was unbelievable, The service was fantastic, The owner came to check on us. Portions were awesome, and the food tasted amazing. One of the best restaurants we’ve been to in a long time!
My Wife and I had dinner there last night, to celebrate my birthday. Chris was our Server he was great knows the menu and was very attentive to out needs, the food was Outstanding, I spent several yrs in the restaurant business when I was younger, also in Fine Dining in Destin, this place rivals, the menu items are creative and amazing! Starting with cocktails (Buffalo Trace Old Fashioned, Tito's and Tonic) appetizers (Buffalo chicken lollipops, baked oysters) and Entrées (Shipwreck🦀🐄, Carnivore filets, mushrooms, smashed taters) as well as Dessert (Pecan Cheesecake, Chocolate Butter Cake and Ice Cream) In My Humble Opinion this is a Must Visit! We will be Back probably for the Ribeye! Oh yeah call and make reservations, bar seating is limited (6) where no reservation required. I didn't take pics of our food but just chk out Google for an abundance of pictures of the dishes and atmosphere! If your contemplating going Jus Do It You Won't Be Disappointed!
Once again Great/Wonderful food!!! Delightful Staff...that's why we come back time again and again. One request is that I would love for yous to carry hot tea. But nothing is perfect. So if that is my only gripe it isn't major one. Just a preference.
Hidden gem. Great food. Great atmosphere. Great value. The owne/chef created a special place in the out of the way nook in southern Alabama and an after dinner walk down Christmas-adorned main street made the evening complete.
MY OH MY! GATHER is so much more than any other dining experience we've ever had. The food is absolutely the best we've ever tasted, and the service is more attentive and personable than anywhere we've visited this year. The appetizers were simply incredible. The tuna dip, brussel sprouts, baked oysters, and burnt ends were in a league well above anything we've enjoyed anywhere else along the entire Gulf coast. The entrées and sides were in a class we rarely encounter in our travels. When the mashed potatoes, green beans, and asparagus are tasty enough to make a meal by themselves, you know you're enjoying creations from an exceptionally talented kitchen. The absolutely stunning main courses, steaks and seafood, were masterpieces in culinary excellence, and it was a pleasure to enjoy such exquisite dining. Our server, Devin, earned our gratitude and appreciation for being such a personable and attentive guide during an extremely enjoyable evening. She gets a special "THANK YOU" for taking such good care of us, AND for suggesting dessert! This was a rather enjoyable outing with spectacularly tasty treats! We'll be back!!
Excelente , comida gourmet, atención maravillosa, iría todos los días
Food was fantastic! Only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is they sat our group of 10 in the back room that was very cramped and hot. Waiter could not walk behind us so we had to pass plates and drinks back and forth for him. That wasn't his fault. Just where they sat this large group. Mind you we had reservations. Otherwise, great place. Will definitely go back. We drove over 50 miles to eat here. It is worth the trip! Next time we will request NOT to be seated in the room with the doors that roll up.
Stopped in for dinner and had a few Old Fashions, and their Ribeye. Was not disappointed in any way. Cocktails were made well, and the steak was cooked perfect. Didn’t care for the sauce served on the side of the steak as it was cloyingly sweet. But overall great dinner and cool atmosphere.
So a little story.. first this is my sister and brother in laws favorite place to eat, they have been a few times and invited us. We were sat 30 minutes before our reservation enjoyed some amazing, absolutely amazing appetizers, between the pork belly and imperial shrimp that could have been it for me. We order our food and there is a mix up, my wife's food was worth the drive alone. The pork schnitzel highly recommend, sister ordered the train wreck and it was full on flavor too. I didn't get my food due to a mix up but we ordered desert and those were good too. They went out of their way to correct the mix up and make it good. If not for the quality of the food and seating us early I would have never came back to this place.. but even without getting what I ordered I will be back.. that should tell you alone the quality of what did hit our table. Update from Anniversary Dinner.. absolutely amazing, both the wife and I could have licked our plates clean. This place is just amazing, they understand the complexity of complimenting flavors and it's always a taste bud journey to remember!
Very interesting menu however a few things to note. Most of our party got the shipwreck w/ mixed reviews. "To many flavors going on!!" The conecuh corn was a big disappointment, giant gmo corn pieces (not creamed as a southern delicacie should be). 2 out of 3 people agreed, didnt like it. The childrens tenders were flat, like out of a bag from the super market. The fries were great w/ the taste being nostalgic, tallow fryed! Ribeye was huge & juicy. Unable to substitute sides was a disappointment. The music selection was a mix but extremely loud. Quaint after dark vibe w/ mixed reviews. Waiter was cold & unapproachable. It was sad they added the tip w/ only a party of 6 (2 was children). Should've been our call on that 18% was sufficient, 15% more derserved... No plans to return in the near future.
Great food real good service but because they were expecting a big group two servers starting talking about where to put them and stood by our table and said maybe we'd be done quickly while one pointed at us. We had just started eating. After that we felt rushed or like they were watching us wanting us to hurry & leave. It's not a cheap place to eat so it's not something you want to rush through also the chairs are very uncomfortable.
Food, was great, Had the Gather Rib Eye Steaks and Mashed Potatoes. 4 meals with 2 appetizers and drinks about 315.00 with tip, only, reason for the 4 Stars on Service and Atmosphere was we ran out of our drinks and had to ask also a little warm inside, But i would definitely go back.
The good: Get the pork belly bruschetta, it’s incredible. I could have made an entire meal of it. I tasted my son’s burger and it was a beautiful thing. Seriously one of the best burgers I’ve ever tasted. Service: Great. The food came out promptly. The bread is great! The bad: Don’t let them seat you in the small room. It’s so very cold, and I don’t know why. The fried green tomatoes are very thick and hard. They are barely cooked and pretty flavorless, including the sauce. Very disappointing. Some of my duck was over the top, some of it was inedible. The outside of the duck was seared too long maybe, but most of it was too tough to eat. I had to cut off that beautiful coffee dusting. The green beans are barely cooked. It’s like they were blanched and then got a few seconds of heat and they were not much more than raw beans. Same with the Conecuh corn, the flavor of the corn is lost without some cooking time-and it should never be that crunchy. If you’re not into a strong horseradish flavor I would not suggest the crab cakes, but my husband did enjoy it.
The restaurant is not very big but was very nicely designed. They have lunch only on Thursday and that is when we went. I had the steak fries and it was good but a little salty. I would order it again but would ask for the cheese sauce to be on the side. We also got the broccoli cheese soup and that was very good. They have a few other lunch options I would try. We're going to try their dinner menu next.
I recommend this place ONLY if they honor the prices on their menu. We called in a to go order, ordering the Signature Steak ($36) and the Pork Chops ($29). When I picked it up I really didn’t notice the price difference. When I got to my destination I looked at my receipt and noticed I was charged $45 for a 16oz Prime Ribeye, which is NOT what I ordered. I then called the restaurant and was told that I was charged correctly because the steak is now “MARKET PRICE”. 16oz Prime Ribeye is not even on the menu🤷🏾♀️!! I don’t agree with this outcome at all!!!!
I can't complain about the food--I think they have a solid, varied, and inventive menu and a good staff and the atmosphere is overall really happy. I had a Paloma cocktail (grapefruit) and seared scallops over creamed corn and while it was on the salty side (a lot of things come with bacon mixed in) I really enjoyed the food. However, I had a poor experience when I walked in the door and that negatively colored my whole meal. I came in around 5:30 on a Saturday, thinking I'd beat any sort of crowd, and when I walked in there were several empty tables. But I was told I had to wait for a spot at the bar to open up, and since the group currently at the bar had just come in, I was looking at a 45+ minute wait. That was really frustrating--to see almost an entire room of empty tables and be told to wait that long. After I questioned the hostesses at bit about it, they let me have a 2-top that they were holding for a reservation at 6:30. So they were holding a table an *entire hour* before the reservation, just to make sure it was clear in time for it. That seems a little extreme to me, I guess the reasoning is that another couple could take that spot and linger forever, but they let me have it since I was alone. But then I felt like I had to rush--I ordered something that wouldn't take long to make and ate it pretty quickly and downed my drink pretty quick too. I mean, I don't take long to eat when I'm by myself anyway but I just felt like I was on borrowed time from someone else's precious reservation. While I waited for my food, I counted 7 empty tables in a room that only had about 10-11 total and I was told I had to wait. And tables were already socially distanced so it wasn't like they were skipping tables. It was just frustrating. And I don't think the hostesses were trying to ruin my night--I'm sure they've had their fair share of folks yelling at them when their reservation wasn't available when they walk in. I guess the moral of the story is, make a reservation! Of course, had I done that, I probably wouldn't have gotten a seat at all? I dunno. I'm not local so it's not like I'll be back anyway. It was an expensive meal (~$50 with tip) for an experience I think I kinda resent.
We had our holiday party there last night. The food was dynamite especially the coffee rubbed duck. All our apps were great especially the brussel sprouts and pork belly brushetta. Our server was beyond attentive and very involved throughout our time there. The bad. We had a party of 6 with an early reservation before 6:00pm. The minute we sat down everyone was cold as the AC vent was directly above our table. Quick solution invest in an AC deflector for $5. I approached the hostess about moving our party, but she stated the other 2 tables that had 7 chairs were accounted for. I informed her that with a broom stick she could close the vents, but she wasn't helpful. I then spoke to the manager (seemed to be, but not useful) where she said she would raise the AC so it would kick off. The AC never kicked off, nor did the 'manager' check on us to see if things had improved. In the end we dropped $100 a person to be cold throughout our dinner. The kicker was the 2 larger tables were never seated when we left!!!! As a business owner you take care of your customers that are there, not potential customers that may or may not come in.
This looks like a nice place and has a good vibe. Unfortunately I was disappointed in the shrimp and feta skillet dinner. It was overcooked to the point that some of the pasta was charred from the hot pan. All moisture from the sauce had been baked off which left it the consistency of tomato paste rather than a nice sauce. I’m sure other menu items are great and this one might be on any other night. I may give the Gather another try next time I’m in town, but I’ll opt for a different choice.
Spinach dip was in a smoking hot cast iron but was cold as ice. Great balls of fire were just warm with a fruity style glaze, not bad but not what we were expecting for fried cheese. Wife had waygu fried steak that honestly, was absolutely flavorless , even the breading. 0.5/10 do not recommend. I had the new shrimp and grits. Other than the tail shells still being on the shrimp it was pretty good. Wouldn't be an issue IF they weren't swimming in sauce so you have to get your fingers in there to remove. 8.5/10, would recommend shrimp and grits. Staff was attentive. I apologize if I have offended the Gather family but I am being as honest as possible.
We got a to go order of the shipwreck with appetizers, an extra side and an extra petite fillet. We ordered all steaks Med Rare, but they were all well done, not even any pink. The extra side of brown butter cabbage we ordered was not included. If it was it was not brown butter cabbage. I had heard good reviews but looking back at past experiences I can see this is not the first one. We spent an exorbitant amount of money for a special meal that was much less than expected. We will not be back.
Does no one else think the prices are insane for how mediocre the food tastes??? $30 for a country fried steak with a small serving of green beans and mashed potatoes. Customer service was top notch but the tables are so close together that I had to listen to the ladies next to me cackle about their one night stands the entire time.
