Best har gow (shrimp dumplings) I've ever had! They're huge, made with fresh, clean, and quality ingredients, and come in a dumpling skirt! Really something else. I'd come here just for that. My husband loves their dry aged beef dumplings. Pretty unique. Even though they're small, they are dense and packed! They're surprisingly quite heavy to pick up with your chopsticks. The Sichuan cucumber salad was packed with flavor! I don't like bean sprouts but they changed my mind! Tried their juicy pork dumplings and they were not kidding. One bite and juice was getting everywhere, and I'm not a messy eater. Also got their strawberry bubble tea...yummm. Everything is so delicious, made fresh to order, and served piping hot!! Love that they play 90s Hong Kong music too and serve their dimsum in 90s dimsum paper plates. Super nostalgic for me. They also play videos on random traditional Chinese cuisine, which is interesting to watch.

We wanted to grab a quick bite before my wife had to go to a show in the city for work and I needed to make my way back home. It was the right amount of food and the right amount of time! It was also all very delicious! HEAT HOT but delicious as they are made fresh.

Can’t wait to come back to this area! This will be my go to spot for a quick bite. The food was very delicious and fresh The portion size were really good. Ribs were fire and you get a nice amount. Pork dumplings were ok and the cucumbers salad was really good. I love a short menu with not too many items. Makes making a decisions that much easier. Now I feel like I can go back and actually try everything on the menu!

Really excellent dumplings and buns. Food is high quality and service is quick. Perfect to take as a to-go snack to prospect park. Will definitely be back to try their dry aged beef dumplings.

Great little place with flavorful food made from fresh ingredients. Had the pork belly Bao, beef (28 day aged) pot stickers and shrimp dumplings. All were delicious and was surprised how much shrimp was stuffed into the little dumplings! Great place for an aftermovie (Nitehawk is now open) snack/meal. Will try large plates next time I'm here! They also have great japanese sodas and bubble tea which I will get next time!

Very good home made dumplings. Only thing was it was expensive for the amount of dumplings you get. The price won’t stop me from coming back though!

I got the juicy pork dumplings and the pork bao bun. The dumplings were fantastic and so juicy. And the right amount of crisp on the bottom. The order came with 6 and cost $7. Fair price to me. The Bao pork bun was good, but hard/messy to eat and even tho the sauce that came on it was yummy, they put way to much on and over powered the other flavors including the pork itself. But all in all was soo good. My Boyfriend got the pork sweet chili ribs and he was obsessed!!

We went for lunch yesterday and really enjoyed it. The taste, texture, presentation were all on point. The price point is a little higher then let’s say China town but it’s expected for the area and the quality was really good. The staff was friendly and helpful. The staff was masked and the restroom was super clean. They also have bubble teas and other specialty drinks. Definitely will try again.

I love this spot. If I could do half stars, it would be 4.7. Had to knock off a few points charging $3 for a bottle of water. Tried the pork bao bun which was also good. Not the best, not the worst. Pro tip- mix soy sauce & hot sauce = magic

With rave reviews in many magazines the actual quality here is just average. That being said with Zero competition in the area and decent eats, 5-stars for existing, the best near-dim-sum experience this part of Brooklyn.

Best dumplings I’ve ever had in NYC and there’s a lot of competition out there. Nothing comes close. Buddha’s vegetables are also delicious — a clean and flavorful meal. 11/10

What a meal! We walked in with a large group of ten - five were kiddos with a slew of allergies and tastes. The dumpling shop served us all with delicious flavor and patience. Before I knew it, the kids were devouring their delicious dumplings n rolls and asking for more. My fave - the sweet chili ribs are truly finger-licking deliciousness on the bone. So good. Such yum! Don't leave without ordering the hotcakes for dessert. They put a smile on everyone's face☆Thanks Chef!!!!!!!!!!!

The classic Brooklyn bagel. Go early in the morning, or just before lunch and get the bagels fresh and hot. Add some Lox, it's great.

Best bagel in Brooklyn anybody who is hating on this place is an ignoramus who likes cake in the form of bagel. This place is the real deal good spot pay some respect this place should have 4.9. Love

Compared to a decade ago, most of my favorite bagel spots in the city have gone way downhill (I recently got a Bagel Pub bagel that was too wet to eat, as if was thawed from frozen). But I still find Bagel Hole's bagels to be absolutely incredible. I personally love the smaller size, and I LOVE that they are a little bit chewy. And I love that their storefront looks exactly the same as it did when I first started going there!

This place is a classic. Their bagels are smaller than other places but that's the classic part of the situation. The bagels are excellent... Toothsome with a shiny exterior. Their lox is great. But don't try to use a $50 bill. They say that they don't take credit cards but they do. Go here. Take the true NY attitude as a side to your bagel and shut up.

Bagel Hole makes the best bagels I know about in Brooklyn. My gold standard these days is Zucker's, which is located by Grand Central in Manhattan. They have a crisp exterior and a super dense, chewy interior. Bagel Hole gets the exterior nice and crispy, and the inside has a little bit of chew, but not as much as I'd like. Still, they're quite good. Bagel Hole bagels are also charmingly irregular—sometimes you'll get an oblong with no hole in the middle.

Why 3.5 star? Well I have to agree with some of the reviews. Bagel is tiny for NYC standard. I bet whoever roll it has a tiny hand too. I finish the bagel in like 4 to 6 bites not half but the whole damn thing with cream cheese and 🍅. Serious get someone with a bigger hand or bigger machine. Bagel with cream cheese and a coffee will cost around $5 or less. This is about the cheapest you can go. Bagel is a cold which I hope was freshly made that day. I am pretty sure it is because they are selling bagel at $90 a piece or $1 for 4 or something if they are like a day old. I wouldn't try anything else and I honestly think they should cut out the salad and other item off their menu. Try something new instead. The place is tiny. It forms exactly one line in and one line out. After placing an order, you should go wait outside and come in after 5 minutes to pick up. This is run by a young group of men and I appreciate their hard work. A bright lighting and refined menu will really lift this place up a lot. Check out the pictures for their menu and special. Nutella cream cheese sounds nasty to me but worth a try if you are a fan.

Ok sheeple, the bagel game is strong in Park Slope (insanely strong - LOL @ KETO DIET), but don’t do yourself a disservice by shoving anyone else’s carbs in your face hole. This is the best MFin bagel in all of Brooklyn. I’ve lived here 5 years and will not lie. You know it has to be good when the store is just a hole in the wall. Hell heah bagel hole. You’re a 7/5 star. Best bagel of nyc

Truly an apt name. Don't let the humble exterior (or interior, for that matter) deter you from what may be some of the best bagels in the city. These bagels are dense, with a crispy exterior and chewy interior. Turnover is so fast that a lot of times they are still hot in your hand--no need to toast!

Charming and tasty dumpling shop. Counter seating for solo-diner like me. Amazing smells from open kitchen fill the rooom. Staff was busy with takeout on a cold night, so my service was a little slow. That said, pork dumplings were doughy flavour bombs. Veg dish (always a test) brought taste and texture. Next time I'll try dry-aged beef dumplings.

Great spot. Very nice on the inside and very tasty food. I only had the dumplings and boa. Will def be back to try everything else. It is a little pricey tho. I'd love it if they had more options

The bagels are really good. I grew up out of NY. We had bagels we thought were good. Then I came to NY and realized what bagels were supposed to taste like. Bagel Hole bagels are top notch. Of the best kosher bagels in NY. The sandwiches are good, service is slow and that could be due to demand and they need to focus on consistently cleaning the restaurant. They improve their speed and clean consistently, I change my rating to a 5.

I love their whitefish salad on an everything. it’s got the right amount of fish, salt and mayonnaise; and when tucked inside their crispy and chewy bagel it’s heaven.

Small neighboorhood bagel place. Only cash. Bagel size was according to price, kinda small. Crunchy on the outside and soft inside, really good. Would come back to try more.

C
Chris Quartly

Good quality shrimp dumplings, the price point is probably a little higher than what you get compared to other places, and I felt like the crust on the dumplings was not necessary and took away from the quality of the wrapper themselves. Overall, a nice part of the neighbourhood

I unfortunately have to give a 3 star for this place and I rarely post reviews that are not positive. Pretty overpriced ($8 for a tiny pork guabao, $12 for 4 hargow (even tim ho wan is only charging 7.75 :o). And they all lack flavors, especially the pork dumplings :( I really wanted to support a neighborhood store but this is a disappointment.

I know this is meant to be a classic bagel but it wasn't quite my thing. Just very stripped back. I went just before closing so perhaps the bagel was just no longer the freshest at that point so I might need to give it another try. The atmosphere is very nice though and took me back to something very homey.

Bagels generally good and authentic. Service usually slow for no real reason. Can get steamy. Skip anything complicated, it'll take forever. Just get the bagels here and buy the spread elsewhere. Sometimes the staff have a less than great attitude.

Overpriced even for this area. Tiny portions. Slow service when not busy. Not worth it at all. $8 for two small flat veggies spring rolls is sad. (Pictured)

Only had takeout but very mediocre. Thought it would be better based on the reviews but I wouldn’t consider returning. The noodles were completely stuck together as one noodle blob. I even arrived to pickup earlier than 15 mins and it seems like to sat for awhile. Not worth the money. I had the Shanghai belly noodles.

A
Alfonette Pinnock

Came here based off reviews and was so disappointed...burnt dumplings on all three orders I placed to go. These burnt were not just by looks it also tasted burnt and it wasn't even busy. Taste was bland my son loves dumplings and didn't even finish his first bite. Just sorry I didn't see the dumplings until I got home.

Decent bagel with cream cheese. Found what I think is a bug at the bottom of my ice coffee………🤢

Bagels are small with a giant hole and very hard. Highly disappointing for a NY bagel. It’s like a Florida bagel or something. Waste of money

Usually I love bagel hole. However, I went at 9:45 on the 13th or July, a saturday. And got the worst service of my life. The worker was maybe 15 years old and he took 30 minutes to make 2 bacon egg and cheeses and 2 egg and cheeses. These were the bagels I walked out with, a HUGE disappointment because usually bagel hole is delicious.

202405 supposedly old recipe but no old charm and disappointing. Barely 2 two-star. The bagel: dense and chewy with a crust, but quite dry. Maybe not very fresh. The plain one is less dry, probably from a more recent batch as the more classic choice. Still, other than the crunchy crust, not too different from the supermarket packs— the crust shows the bagel could have seen better days. To out it nicely, not bad enough for me to throw it away. Not many choices after 12pm. No pumpernickel not even whole-wheat. The filling: I didn’t get any because they look rather sad and don’t seem hygienic. The place: old fashioned hole in a wall. (What’s wrong with small bagel and small hands? I enjoy smaller ones to try different offerings. Nonetheless 3.3 for a plain and a poppyseed without filling is quite pricy for the size.

A small to-go place with quick service. The bagels were not good, very dense and chewy. They do not toast the bagels. The scallion cream cheese wasn't really heavy on the scallion and the lox was fine. The prices are similar to other bagel shops in the area, $12 for bagel with lox and cream cheese, $5 for sausage and egg on a bagel. Overall, there are definitely better bagel places in the neighborhood.

J
Jenisse Broadbelt

Unwelcoming experience going in, waited for over 30 minutes in person for some dumplings and a soup, and my dumplings were burnt and inedible. Ended up throwing it away, a waste of money and the soup was super oily with weird chunks in my soup. Not a pleasant experience, definitely tasted like food you would eat and like super drunk lol.

Very bad experience and cranky worker, she was so bad with communication even though i was so nice with her and i was very respectful to her, and they are scammers i swear a god i just bought 6 bagels and she charged me 16 dollars for very small bagels, 16 dollars for 6. Scammers.

Ordered a dozen bagels for a group breakfast. First one I pull out looks like this. Their cream cheese options are also horrible. Walked out with Philadelphia and Tofutti cream cheese in tubs that you can buy in any grocery store. Never again.
