This casual dining spot is my new go-to for great fish. The food was flavorful, affordable and fresh. My friend I had a perfectly cooked plate of grilled tilapia with shrimp, while another person in our party ordered the catfish, fries and hushpuppies. Makes me hungry just thinking about it!

I’ve ordered to go before but we finally went to dine in around 3:30PM and had good service. Food came out in a weird order but we weren’t bothered by that since we share everything anyways. The food was delicious as well as the flavored margaritas! I like their fish and rice plates a lot so I recommend the Tilapia Trio! Coconut shrimp was nice too and the hush puppies were well seasoned! I didn’t have the bad service others are saying but will keep that in mind in the future.

This establishment started as a hidden gem in the heart of Garland a few years back. Now, 4 locations later, they managed to keep their top tier flavor and quality across the board. Personally I keep coming back to the downtown Garland location. Aside from the meaty crab and huge shrimp, the micheladas are some of the best, definitely worth the try.

It's such an amazing place, pretty clean, sweet staff, and get your order immediately. If you want something new and fast- this is the place. I don't recommend the tenders, but I definitely recommend the French Fries! 👌🏻

On a late Sunday evening, my plan for good seafood at the fav I deliberately went to was an epic fail of service. Google came to the rescue again, and Waze got me to Fish N' Tails Oyster Bar in minutes. Not being familiar with this little towns area gem was a hidden surprise. Entering to the blast of Tejano music that was very deafening. After going over the menus my decision was made for the wall special, 2pc Catfish, fries, hushpuppies, and coleslaw with a small frozen mango margarita. With 2 sections, one for dining and music and the other for bar, carryout, and seated dining. The seated dining area was very limited. Most of the tables weren't cleaned after customers left to make it easier for availability. Being such a smaller area, the tables should be cleaned asap. My food took about average time to come. It was hot, seasoned, coated perfectly, with indulging presentation. The fish tasted very fresh. Fries were a little overcooked, but cut how I prefer. Hushpuppies were very tasty *next visit, I'll have to have extra 😋* My pallet has never liked coleslaw and trying it here my pallet didn't change due to the taste alone. The frozen mango margarita was too sweet. Overall I would visit again with a carryout to enjoy. **SN: The tartar sauce is a miss and would definitely be a hit with my own..**

Food is delicious but the set up of this restaurant is horrible! Extremely overcrowded the first thing you see when you open the door is a long line, not a smart place to put the ordering counter. You can barely move around, the dining area is large and spacious. I was also not provided an apron and gloves for the carb boil.

The fried catfish and shrimp were over cooked and not juicy. Very dry. Good thick fry's and good tartar sauce but wouldn't come back for the fish.

The food and service were good, but I was disappointed to see an automatic gratuity added every time we ordered during the same sitting. Since we placed multiple orders while staying at the table, the gratuity was charged repeatedly, which felt excessive and unclear. This policy should be communicated more transparently.

Bought the catfish special I took a few bites and the inside of it looked like this mushy and hard to cut into. I called and received terrible customer service. was asked to take my food back because a picture would not be enough and it had to be today or else they could not replace or refund. 🤢I’ve been a long time customer and extremely disappointed as I eat here at least twice a week.

Very disappointing. Let’s talk about the establishment’s cleanliness, their customer service and environment fist. Next, the quality of the food for the price. And last, the food quality and taste. Disappointing due to having NOT and authentic Cajun/Creole cuisine. Then, the inclusion of pathetic sandwiches which they dare call hamburgers. They are catering only to the Mexican community specifically due to the surroundings of its location. My advice, if you want to experience a real authentic Cajun/Creole food don’t give them your business but head to the northern or central location of the Dallas, Richardson or Plano areas. The establishment is not clean, and their customer service is below mediocre. In the same respect, the quality of the food for the price is unreasonable. Let’s say one settles for what they think and say passes for a “North American hamburger” because of the bad quality of their other dishes and unreasonable pricing. You would noticed the “hamburger” quality is not up to part nor are the fries or amount for $11.80. Moreover, since this is not a actual hamburger but mere an insignificant Mexican style sandwich or Torta, it is not ever worth talking about the taste bucause it wouldn’t taste the part which it didn’t.
