A friend from home recommended this specific location, and we drove over to try the food. It did not disappoint at all! All of the tacos we tried were amazing, along with the beer mixers, ceviche, and pescidillas! If we lived here we'd eat here weekly!!

Went for a quick dinner with some friends that live in Bonita and was pleasantly surprised. We had tacos and oysters that were delicious. We also had margaritas too. The drink was a little small but I like my cocktails in pint glasses so it’s hard to measure up. The flavor was good so I didn’t care. The oysters tasted fresh off the boat too!

Wandering in Paradise

Delicious seafood at TJ Oyster Bar! We started with a half dozen ahi tuna oysters, which is basically some diced tuna on top of the oysters with some onions. For entrees we got one salmon and one mahi mahi Torta with fries. Everything tasted great, and the service was friendly and quick. We sat on the dog friendly patio. The women’s restroom also has a changing table. Recommend!

It was my first time as I was looking for fresh oysters just nearby, and I am so glad we skipped going further to the beach as I found this treasure in the heart of Bonita. Everything is nice both how food looks and tastes and above all best customer service. Basically, staff who love what they do. No frowning. This will be a weekend go to for us from now on. Other recommended food to try. We know it's great first-hand experience. Freshly made, warm, and prompt meal, thank God, for Mother's day treat after bad food experience at the expensive Marina. We were trying out which to go the day before. I recommend TJ Oyster bar smoked Tuna Fries, fish tacos, try all the ceviche, oh yes, of course, the fresh cold oysters missed since South Carolina. My family had always run restaurants back home, and we always made sure we serve the way this one does with warm, fresh, delicious meals with a genuine welcome attitude. It's the best Mexican seafood place to go here in Bonita.

We’re from out of town but were craving some good fish tacos. TJ’s did not disappoint! We got the octopus, ahi tuna, garlic shrimp, taqueso shrimp, and smoked tuna tacos. The octopus and smoked tuna were our favorites! Our server was extremely helpful and provided great service.

This is my go-to place in the South Bay when I’m looking for both delicious mariscos AND good vibes. In other words, the food is great while also having nice atmosphere. They’ve got great happy hours deals, excellent margaritas, and they’re one of the few places to consistently have a few Baja craft beers on draft. (If you’re into IPAs, you’ve got to get a pint of Lupulosa.) The service is friendly, the food comes out fast, and it’s great.

Some of the best fish tacos I have ever had! Yummy seafood taco restaurant. We tried the battered fish, grilled taco, octopus taco and shrimp burrito. The fish tacos were our favorite. The grilled taco had flavorful seasonings and the battered fish tacos were nice and crunchy. We were seated quickly and our beverages came out quick as well. We had ordered some tostadas but never got them. Only negative with the whole experience.

The oysters were good just kind of small. The smoked tuna tacos are great though! The seafood quesadilla was underwhelming and disappointing. I wasn’t a fan of the way the cheese melted, it was overpowering and kind of made up for the lack of seafood in the quesadilla. It’s hard to fully explain it though. The rice is amazing!

Service was horrible ! We sat right down but then we wernt acknowledged at all for a while . Server continued to walk by no one stopped to introduce themselves or offer us water or to see if we had questions abkut the menu . Then i got the attention of a lady as she saw the frustration in my face as me and my daughter just sat there with blank stares. She comes over and says i see you looking around has anyone helped you i said no but could we at least have some water. At this point I wanted to leave but my daughter wanted to stay . So we did, we ordered fish tacos which came out fast and they were hot so kudos to the chef on those however the shrimp taqueso taco i order was luke warm at best. the cheese wasnt warm at all its like they just threw shrimp on a cheese tortilla that had been sitting there for a while....I must say the shrimp taqueso taco and the service was definitely not good today . I dont know if they just didnt want to serve us or if they were just busy but something was off. I had to get the attention of the VERY NICE front door hostess to get more water and napkins . She was very nice and friendly . But overall we did not have a good experience today outside of the nice hostess and the fish tacos everything else was not good at all.
