Despite arriving during a busy lunch hour, my friend and I were seated almost immediately and greeted with the most incredible courtesy by our server Denise. The food arrived promptly after ordering and was absolutely delicious. From the sweet potato taquito to the tacos, everything tasted fresh and flavorful. She also accommodated my friend’s many dietary restrictions to the tee and was nothing but friendly snd helpful. Couldn’t recommend highly enough for a delicious dining experience!
I celebrated a dear friends birthday. The restaurant had a good selection of non- alcoholic drinks. There were two that I tried that I did not like, so that's when the wonderful waiter, Paulo, stepped in. He personally created a new version of the drink, and it was absolutely delicious. Paulo is a shining example of kindness and a reminder that the world needs more people who spread joy wherever they go. His customer service was outstanding.
We had a pleasant lunch here on a Saturday. We were served by Paolo who was very friendly and attentive. We ordered the beef and grilled chicken tacos, as well as the prawn small plate. The food was good, although the prawns were a bit small. Dog friendly in the outdoor area. Would come back.
Enjoyed the food and service was great. Julio was extra attentive, I dropped my knife and he was quick to give me a new one with extra napkins! Great all round!
We visit this restaurant often, on any given occasion. In fact it was the first Wahaca we tried and it is the one that made us fall in love with their food and atmosphere. Not to even mention the spectacular drinks! The service is always great, all waiting staff is incredibly helpful (they even helped our friend with the name of the song that was playing there once!) and always recommend great food that suits our taste perfectly. They are always on time, patient if you can't decide and very friendly. You feel as if you entered your local place. The food is absolutely delicious, to die for. Incredibly fresh, always made to order, portions are just enough to make you happy, though, the tasting menus can feed 3 people if you are not starving! Same can be said about drinks- they always deliver! We are specifically fans of their non-alcoholic drinks, they have the best choice we encountered in any of the restaurants. They are also as punchy as the alcoholic ones. The main plus of this place is consistency. No matter what time of the day or which day of the week we visited them, we always had the same great experience. The flavours still positively surprise us, but the service is always fantastic.
Our waitress was so friendly - my daughter remembered her from our last visit. She is so friendly and accommodating even when it’s busy 😊
Great service, lovely food, relaxed atmosphere on a Sunday evening! A lot of delicious vegan options, Ines was super helpful and sweet and so was the manager. We cleaned the plates as per picture LOL Jokes apart, we were so hungry that we forgot to take pictures, but I recommend the cactus and courgettes burrito, the beetroot tartare tostadas and the rainbow bowl for an awesome vegan meal!
I have always enjoyed the food at Wahaca and have tried a few of their other locations. I visited this branch with friends, and they were equally impressed.
The food was excellent! And the service super attentive, Julio looked after us super well. Thanks! Will deffo come back.
I went to Wahaca with some friends. The first thing I did was to inform the waitress that I have a nut allergy she advised me what was safe for me to eat, and she double-checked every item of food before serving. She was super friendly and was there to offer her help when we wanted something. The food was so delicious that there is a variety of Mexican food to choose from . The atmosphere is lovely, just happy people enjoying a good meal and drinks with friends and family. I would definitely recommend Wahaca to friends. The good thing about Wahaca they cater for everyone, whether you are a meat eater or vegan or vegetarian. They have a good option of food for everyone
I had a wonderful dining experience at the restaurant! I tried the vegetarian combo for two, and it was absolutely delicious — generous portions, rich flavors, and beautifully presented. The highlight of our visit was the impeccable service from Denisse P., who guided us with fantastic recommendations and made the experience even more enjoyable. I also tried one of the cocktails, which was refreshingly crafted and a perfect complement to the meal. Highly recommend this place for both the food and the warm hospitality!
Great food and service but the tables are so weird. The toilets could be better too. The food itself is fantastic and you will get dishes which are so authenticity Mexican that you feel you are fully immersed in the culture. The wine and spices are perfectly well balanced and the spicy habereno sauces dd layers of intense depth to the red wine, especially if you choose one of the darker red wines. They are super tasty together. It is also really cheap and the QR code payment system makes it really easy to settle bills.
Was My First Time Trying Mexican Food And Was Served By Spanish Speaking Server. Y The Way Who Was Amazing And Made Our Lunch Trip Amazing, Unfortunately No Name On The Receipt So Couldn't Credit Him His Name. Highly Recommend The Lunch Special £15 for a variety Of Food also the Pork Burrito
I had the pleasure of dining at Wahaca during lunchtime at Westfield Stratford, and it was an absolute delight. The ambiance was inviting, with a vibrant atmosphere that perfectly complemented the energy of the bustling mall surroundings. We started our culinary journey with the veggie nachos, which were a symphony of flavors and textures. Each crispy chip was generously adorned with a colorful array of fresh vegetables, creamy guacamole, and tangy salsa, creating a harmonious blend that left our taste buds tingling with satisfaction. Next up were the tacos, and they exceeded all expectations. Bursting with the goodness of carefully curated ingredients, each bite was a celebration of Mexican culinary craftsmanship. From the tender, flavorful fillings to the warm, soft tortillas, every element was executed with finesse, showcasing the culinary prowess of the chefs at Wahaca. To complement our meal, we indulged in some refreshing passion fruit mojitos, which served as the perfect palate cleanser between bites. The balance of sweetness and tartness was impeccable, making it the ideal accompaniment to our flavorful dishes. Overall, our experience at Wahaca was nothing short of exceptional. The attention to detail, the quality of the ingredients, and the warmth of the service made it a memorable dining experience. Whether you’re a devout foodie or simply looking for a delicious meal in a vibrant setting, Wahaca at Westfield Stratford is undoubtedly worth a visit.
very crispy churros and amazing sauce, the hot chocolate was nice and the atmosphere was gorgeous!
I’m not Mexican so Idk if this is “authentic” Mexican food, but at least this is one of me and my boyfriend’s most favourite restaurant in London. Never get failed. All foods were so good!!! And of course, the staffs are so nice as well. Bit sad we couldn’t try Enchiladas which was my boyfriend always wanted to try.
Popped in after work, greeted and seated quickly. First time in a long time to a Wahaca, was served by Paolo M and I’ve got to say probably the best service experience I’ve received in a casual dining chain for a very long time. Went with his recommendation, platter for one, at £15.95 very good value for money and the flavours were exceptional. Definitely 5 stars and would certainly recommend
Food at wahaca is always tasty. Thank you to our server who was very friendly and served us quickly. Would recommend booking as this location is a busy location.
Our first visit here was lovely, the service was fast and great customer service 😊👍. We weren’t able to make a reservation but they had a table available when we arrived. Food had amazing flavours and the drinks were good (strong in taste but that’s how I like it 😝).
“I recently visited Wahaca Stratford and was thoroughly impressed! The service was absolutely amazing, with staff who were not only attentive but also incredibly friendly. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, making it a perfect spot to enjoy a meal. I highly recommend this place and think they’ve done a brilliant job. Thank you to the team!
First time here, really great food although neither of us really liked the pulled pork. A little pricey but it was a nice change from the usual. Really loved the sweet potato tacos. Will definitely be back. Really friendly staff which is becoming rare these days in the UK
Matthew was amazing! So attentive and friendly service throughout. I would come back just for the service and obviously the Margs!!
Waited 10 minutes for a table on Saturday, which was amazing. Staff were super attentive and kind. Food was lipsmackingly good. We ended up with vegetarian options somehow but dint strangely miss the meat. Had fun!
Food is lovely here, we had lots of small plates and shared. Food is delicious and filling. Cocktails are nice too.
A Mexican meal While staying in London Me and my family were tired from our travel day and wanted something quick and tasty Headed to Westfield and found wahaca Luckily booked as seemed popular and recommend doing so but they do try and turn tables quick so minimise wait or even do delivery / takeaway Plenty of plant based Brownie/ vegan options which was great for me as had a separate menu ! Plus signed up and got a voucher for free tacos 🌮 I got the Wahaca for One vegan Guacamole & Tortilla Chips Butter Bean & Confit Garlic Dip (ft bold bean so knew it would be good) *corn bean Taquito That came with Two tacos *Plantain Taco v vgo • Roast Ancho Mushroom Taco v vgo n Mum dad had the Beef + prawn taco too Finished with Churros with rich dark chocolate sauce was delicious Ethos and environmental Great start to finish Our server Agnes K was welcoming and made our visit special Glad we tried as don’t have in the north !
I’d heard of this chain previously but had allowed myself to be put off by a general distaste for the person who recommended it. Foolish of me. I learn. He was someone who never tipped though, so you can understand the sentiment. Anyhow, staying in Stratford for a couple of nights and this place was very near my hotel (Hyatt) – I love Mexican food and, from what I could see through the window, it looked very tasty. I thought therefore I’d give it a go. The interior of the restaurant has a faux industrial/rustic vibe going on, with exposed rebar (I like a bit of exposed rebar) and mismatched seating, some of it sunken in the manner of the 1970s. The restaurant is brightly lit, which is a good thing as there were several steps. The kitchen is semi-open and raised, so you can see the food upon the pass. Nice to see. The only negative for me was a big painting of sweetcorn on the wall – I have a visceral dislike of sweetcorn. This is a personal thing though and shouldn’t put you off visiting. For some reason the sweetcorn is multicoloured and is being visited by a large honeybee, I didn’t understand that. Service was quick and efficient, and the waiter tried hard to interest us in the special – normally I would have jumped at this as the special was Birria (I love Birria), but it was a sort of sandwich thing and I wasn’t in the mood for bread. I find bread is a mood these days, whereas once upon time I couldn’t get enough of it. Interesting how we change as we age. I ordered a Diet Coke for my drink, as I continue to offer respect to my liver ahead of the festive period. The menu is interesting, it isn’t divided up in a traditional way – starters, mains etc. You have some small things as like pre-dinner snacks, then some small plates, then some large plates, some sides and some random things that don’t fit anywhere. You can design your meal. I like this, but I know some it would not sit well with. Anyhow, given that choice I thought I’d have a double helping of tacos, because tacos are life. Beef Gringa and buttermilk chicken – these were very different, the beef was saucy and rich, the chicken was fried and crisp, both adorned with loved accoutrement. Impressive tacos, I really enjoyed these and would certainly order them again. Whilst dining, I saw a burrito being eaten at the next table – it was huge – I’m glad I didn’t order that. I thought I’d break tradition and have a pudding here – this was mainly because they have combined two of my favourites into a single dish with a marriage of tiramisu and a tres leches cake, to create a tres leches tiramisu. Gosh this was rich, delicious, creamy and rich. Beautiful, sweet pudding, I could have had this again and again. Definitely have this if you visit. Overall, a successful visit and the price was more than reasonable for such tasty food – I would recommend a visit here. Two paws up. Don’t let yourself be put off trying things, give it a go. Dining in Stratford is a strange experience – I prefer these restaurants that are ‘outside’ of the shopping centre rather than clustered together around it’s internal food market area. Better opportunities for people-watching.
I spent nice afternoon with friends in this restaurant. Nice and friendly staff, very good food and good price. Good atmosphere. Recommend and definitely we are going to back there. ❤️
It was a great weekend with friends, we ordered veg platter and overall food was very good/tasty
We walked in without a booking and they found us a lovely table away from children (school holidays). The staff are all incredibly friendly and efficient. They had some great deals. We had the feasting menu (pictured), which was probably a little too much for two averaged sized people, it didn’t leave room for a pudding. The cocktails and mocktails are equally delicious. You don’t miss the alcohol in their cocktails. Bathrooms have separate male, female and disabled loos, although everyone shares the sinks, ideal if you just want to wash your hands before you eat.
We went here before going to ABBA voyage and it was so lovely !! Really great and delicious food (we both opted for some tacos and different sides including sweet potato and cauliflower). The mini margaritas were so cute 🥺 fab experience !!
We had a really great experience. We didn't book but managed to get a table without waiting. All the food was very tasty. We were seated by the bar and couldn't believe how hard the bar staff were working. We were so amazed that we walked up to one of the bar staff Paul to personally compliment him for all his hard work. Very impressed.
We had a wonderful experience at the restaurant. The food was delicious, served promptly, and the service was outstandingly friendly. Huni, in particular, was extremely welcoming and made us feel right at home.
The food was fantastic. Atmosphere was chill, especially welcome after the mania of the shopping centre. Agnes was amazing! Friendly, attentive and professional. I forgot how good (filling) the burritos can be.
Love this Wahaca! The food is always amazing. It's clean, well kept and they're always really kind. The few times we've taken my toddler, they've been extra lovely. Always a pleasure, when I get to go here! Now just please bring back the original mushroom tacos 😭
We can actions this restaurant after attending ABBA Voyage and staying at a nearby hotel. Staff were attentive and explained the menu. We opted for the favourites sharing platter. It consisted of many small plates of delicious Mexican dishes. Everything was fresh and beautifully presented. We would recommend.
We had such a great time at Wahaca today. Our server, Sanel, was absolutely amazing — genuinely friendly, attentive and made the whole experience even better. We loved one of the hot sauces, and Sanel was kind enough to bring us nachos on the house so we could enjoy it properly. Little gestures like that make a huge difference. The food was delicious, the vibes were great, and honestly the sauce was so good that Wahaca should definitely sell it — we would buy it in a heartbeat! Highly recommended. Will definitely be coming back! 🌮🔥
Nice and delicious food , the services was really professional. The prices were acceptable and the place was really enjoyable. We were surprised and happy we could meet with multilingual waiters. They were really kind, nice, helpful, and attentive for every details, for sure I will go back again.
Fantastic service and wonderful food. The staff were very attentive and acknowledged us even though they couldn’t help us straight away (instead of ignoring us like some of the other restaurants we’d walked into). The food was very tasty and quite reasonable for London - we were pleasantly surprised and very satisfied with the whole experience.
I could have filled up on the House Tacos alone, they were delicious. Paolo, our server, was full of energy and a delight to chat with! The rest of the staff that we spoke to were also nice. Thank you so much for a lovely experience. You WILL be seeing me again :)
I think Wahaca has gradually become much more of a mainstream chain restaurant and this one is no exception. I ate here for lunch today in a party of two and the total cost was £65 (no alcohol). Staff were friendly and food served pretty quickly. Everything was good apart from the cauliflower bites (greasy / old oil taste). Pork pibil and vegetarian nachos particularly good. Hibiscus drink and mocktail both really nice.
Great little tacos 🌮 tasty and had a decent variety. Couple of friends also got the deal for one, with small cold starters and 2 different tacos which looked delicious.
I stopped by Wahaca for a quick meal before catching my train. Even though it was a busy night, i was attended to quickly enough for me to still make it on time. I ordered the Taco Buttermilk Chicken and the Sweet Potato Taquito, both were delicious! I also had the Marmalade Mezcalita, which was a great addition to the meal. I would definitely go back to try more from their menu.
Nice Friday night meal out with friends. The food was serviced quickly and fresh but the nachos portion was somewhat small. The staff are really friendly and helpful with menu advice and selections. Came in at around £40-£50 per head including drinks. Definitely recommend for a chill vibe and good food.
This was our first time visiting the restaurant, and we totally loved our food. We arrived and seat quickly. Even though our group size changed several times, staff were accommodating. The food was tasty and well cooked. The two ladies that served us were attentive and nothing you asked was a problem. We will definitely be visiting again before we leave England.
Food was good, a generous amount of filling/protein in the tacos. Overall dishes could of been more spicier (authentic Mexican style). Service could have been quicker nevertheless when served the staff were very friendly.
Visited the place after a long day of walking, me and my friend we were famishing. After a revamp of their menu the food was still good none the less our server Agnes K. treat us with an exceptional customer service. Especially in our day where it seems to be dissaperi g slowly. She was, nice, helpful, suggested us options and very calm. Thank you Agnes!
All of the staff was friendly and we were seated quickly. The restaurant has a great a great look and a nice sized outdoor seating area. We found the food to look appetizing, but the taste was average on all of our dishes. Unfortunately once the restaurant got more crowded, we waited for quite some time to get recognized, so we could pay our bill.
Really long waiting times for an order for 2 people. Waited 30 min already and it is becoming draining. Would suggest they invest in trays to stop bringing dishes individually by hand .
It’s alright. It’s Mexican adjacent. I wouldn’t call this authentic Mexican food but in all fairness I’m coming from Socal. It reminds me of Tex-Mex. Service and staff were polite and kind. For what it claims to be its good for the UK.
Recently went to WAHACA since it seemed to be a good spot to have lunch since the family and I were hungry tourists (not from the UK), but I would soon be appalled by the horrendous service myself and my family received. The water glasses were filthy, the water bottle they served our water in was also not clean. It took far more than a few minutes for our waitress to give us clean glasses and mind you, the restaurant wasn't even busy, it was just my family and I and a couple of other people but the place was mostly empty. It took a while for our waitress to even ask us what we wanted to order, drink wise and food wise. Basic hygiene and common sense is certainly not a factor at this place at all because when our waitress finally came over to take our food orders she coughed several times in front of us without covering her mouth. It was utterly disgusting. Their management is also horrendous. If you go here and are a foreigner or an American, the current manager will be absolutely condescending towards you and your needs. I have allergies and understand that in the UK they try to take that into account in restaurants and accommodate the customer by letting the manager know so no issues will be had, but after attempting to tell the manager about which allergies I have, she very rudely cut me off and told me "That's not a lot of allergies at all". She didn't allow me to continue and she instead was very belittling towards me and very condescending. I felt very alienated and very unhappy with my experience at this place as did my family. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS ESTABLISHMENT, ESPECIALLY IF YOU HAVE ALLERGIES OR HAVE FOOD SENSITIVITIES OR VALUE BASIC HYGIENE PRACTICES IN RESTAURANTS. DO NOT GO HERE FOR MEXICAN CUISINE IN STRATFORD!!!
