I catered a lunch with Ernestos and it was great. The owner was great to work with, extremely honest and was not trying to over charge me. I had a lunch for 25 people and he recommended that I get catering for 20 and he was right. He contacted me the morning of my lunch to reassure me that everything will be ready. When I got there everything was ready and packaged very well. Everyone loved the food. It tasted like real authentic Mexican food. He contacted me after to see how everything went. I will definitely be doing more catering events with Ernestos in the future! Highly recommended!
My family and I have been coming to this shop for over 10 yrs and will always come back the customer service is exceptional, it's a family owned and operated restaurant. They keep it very clean, they treat their employees super nice and the food keeps us coming for more specially the huevos rancheros are the best! The owner is super nice, helpful, always goes out his way to help us and already knows our order... I definitely would recommend this location. Thank you, Ernesto and staff for always welcoming us with a friendly smile and making us feel like home.
I have loved this place for over a decade. The service is always so friendly and the authentic Mexican dishes make me wonder who would go to the chipotle down the street instead of here. SO GOOD. Best in miami!
This place is DELICIOUS!! Every time I come or order delivery I can't even make up my mind, everything I've had over the years is so so good. Ernesto's is the real deal when it comes to taste, and you can't beat the price either. I was a vegetarian for a long time and their cheese enchiladas had my back. Now I love the steak burritos, the beef nachos, the fiesta plate...and that's not even touching their namesake dish!
Overall the food there is great. Awesome environment, great location, and a Greta place to stop by. There is just some things that need improvement. Such as the quality of the napkins, toilet paper, and the plates the food is served on. Worth the drive for excellent service for some Mexican food.
D E L I C I O U S ! ! ! When my guys from Kendall found out I've never eaten there, they stopped everything and took me for lunch. I'm told the breakfast is even better 👀 Will definitely find out soon! Great establishment, friendly staff and very attentive owners!
LOVE their California fries 🍟 aka Carne asada fries it fills the void of not being in California where I first tried the dish. I drive all the way from fort Lauderdale to buy/eat that delicious. Worth the trip, good portion size.
This places has been around for years. I always get the same thing, the “Fiesta Plate”. This brings beans, quesadillas and burritos with pico de gallo. I would recommend that plate to everyone. I have taken friends and family, I always tell them to pick the Fiesta Plate, those who do not end up choosing it, regret not getting one after seeing my plate. And those who take my suggestion fall in love and never forget this taco place again.
Best place for authentic Mexican food, hands down. Love coming here late night, food is always fresh. Used to be open 24 hrs but I think that's changed now bc I've passed by some nights & they're closed unfortunately. Prices are hella affordable for the portions they serve, & it's never too crazy packed. Their hot sauce tho!
I have been coming here since I was a teenager! They are, in my humble opinion, the best place to get Tex-Mex in Miami. Super friendly staff serves freshly made tacos, burritos, chimichangas - (lo que quieras!) - and it truly is a guilty pleasure.
I absolutely love eating here! I would recommend this place over any other local Mexican restaurant. Food is 100% authentic. My only problem with Ernesto's is that they claim to be open from 9AM-11PM but they will randomly catch you off guard and close way earlier.
My partner's brother recommended this place to me, so I tried it yesterday and loved it! I had a chicken quesadilla and it was delicious! So full of flavour and very fresh! 5*** star rating from me!
One of the best authentic taco places in Miami. Fresh and tasty! My favorite are the tacos al pastor. Enjoy your tacos with a cold Mexican Coca Cola.
I’ll start this off by saying, I’m a VERY picky eater. But I absolutely LOVED this place. I ordered taquitos. And I devoured them. SO GOOD! Will definitely be returning!
I ate here and the food tastes well for a low price. I ordered the carne asada tacos as I can get crunchy corn tortilla. The rest of the items appear to be wheat flour tortilla. They serve breakfast as well as lunch dinner. The prices are very good
Carne asada burrito was amazing. Bigger than your head
Good Mexican food at a reasonable price. Great service.

After taste the food in the other Mexican restaurants in Miami Beach, different of this one (was so disappointed) …..I didn’t give up and decided to come here and the truth is that my love for Mexican food returned. If you have the opportunity to come and try you will not regret it.

My wife and I have been coming here for years, and it keeps getting better. I usually get three carne asada tacos, she gets the carnitas and al pastor tacos and the horchata. You get enough meat and guacamole to make six tacos if you really wanted to. Great flavor, great value, great people working there, nice "hole in a wall" atmosphere. There is zero pretense— if you're tired of trendy taco places, you will be relieved to eat here. My wife, who is South American, has been to Mexico and can brag about having "authentic Mexican food," loves these tacos. That's as glowing a review as you can give.
As a Mexican living in Miami, this has been the best and most authentic restaurant I’ve found here in 5 years. Staff is great and the food selections is amazing.
Ernesto's is the OG taco shop out in Kendall. Seriously, come here. They've been serving the community for decades and the quality never drops. The pickled spicy veggies at the bar are the best. Get that burrito chihuahua style.
If you're looking for a tasty taco in the Kendall area, stop by Ernestos. Been enjoying them for years. Excellent food and excellent service!!
Been coming here for 15+ years. Best burritos I've ever had. I really love Mexican food but burittos are my favorite and this place does them like no other place. My family loves this place too and now even though I don't live in Miami anymore; we come here every time we are down in Miami. Ask for "Buritto Chihuahua"!

This location will never see 5 stars in the food side. Because they don't make Lengua (beef tongue) here. And that's my favorite taco from the Cutler ridge location. The food is 🔥🔥. Customer Experience is👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 Keep up the Good work.
Food is solid and affordable. Usually get their California fries which is good but the fries could have some seasoning to make it better. They also have limited vegetarian or vegan items which can be a challenge.
I've been to Ernesto's many times over the years and continue to come back because it's damn good food! steak is well seasoned, order is prepared fast and staff is friendly. The place itself is nothing to call home about but you'll love everything else
They serve menudo on Sat and Sun. Pretty good if you are trying to get your menudo fix not many places serve it in Miami. Their Menudo has lots of tripe but I prefer more hominy. Maybe next time I can ask for that. 👍🏼

I went to this place for the first time yesterday and it probably be my last time. The food was good and portions were big. The staff on the other hand are rude. My teenage daughter even noticed it. Cashier didn’t understand me fully(I speak English only). They gave me half of one order and was rude about it when I said I ordered 3 meals. The guy who spoke English was like you have everything ( rudely) of course. Once they realized it was their mistake they handed me the food without even looking at me. Not going back there !!!
This place is ok for a quick fast food bite. There is not much good Mexican in Kendall so this works but is not worth the price. It's overpriced for what you get. No free chips and salsa, I get that.. no problem. But $4 for a little plate of chips with chopped tomatoes was where they lost me. The burrito was pretty good. For the price ($18. For chips, drink, and loaded burrito) I would go somewhere else. This place needs to lower the prices and show a little TLC to the food.
Starving and came here for a quick lunch with my boyfriend. The place was not too busy for a weekday lunch was convenient for us since our food came out quickly. I decided to order the California Fries $8.95 which are string fries loaded with beef and other Mexican toppings. The fries platter was massive and I also utilized their salsa bar to further dress my fries. All in all I enjoyed the fries but do wish the meat had a little more flavor/seasoning. My boyfriend ordered the Al Pastor Torta $8.50 which was a nice size and delicious. I almost wish I could have gotten the Al Pastor on my fries! It was a quick affordable meal but definitely not the best Mexican I've ever had, but suitable. Would come back if in the area and had to settle on another quick meal! IG: @KFitzEats
I’ve been coming here for 7 years and have always been impressed with the food and available picked veggies (onions, carrots, jalapeños). However, something is going on here as the last two times I’ve ordered to three amigos tacos with al pastor, the meat has not been good. Last time it was dry and hard and tasted old. Today it’s insanely greasy (see pictures). Again - solid for years and something has changed or something but hope it’s only temporary.
Im not sure how the ratings for this place are as high as they are but I personally was EXTREMELY disappointed. I ordered the feista that included beef tortillas steak and cheese quesadeas chips and bean dip. Absolutely aweful. Not only did it taste like it wasnt season at all but the food seemed stale and old. I also had the tacos which were better but still not up to par for authentic Mexican food. I the quacamole WAS NOT BY ANY MEANS FRESH please review pictures. This was my first time ordering and it wIll be my last. But I always want to say any place can have a bad day. But this place isnt new and if simply seasoning food all the is hard then something is wrong.
Not enough meet I think so. In conclusion great place to take some lunch.

Too pricey for the quality of food, not to mention the service and atmosphere. The main guy took our order with an attitude and allowed another customer to interrupt us mid-sentence. Maybe he was having a bad day. We did receive our order of three tacos and nachos quickly. However there wasn't anything authentic or special about it. It really didn't taste that great. On top of that the place had a TV blaring which made it difficult to have a conversation. I guess it would be an OK place and I would visit again if the prices weren't so high. For those prices I expect a level of quality, atmosphere, and service which this place didn't have.
I’ve been wanting to check this place out since we drive past it every time we go to pet Supermarket, so yesterday we finally did. Carne asada Torta was fine, nothing to rave about, but the lady at the front taking the orders was super rude. I’m not sure if shes the owner but she needs to nicer, such a bad attitude. Made for a bad experience, we wont be coming back.
Went on Sunday afternoon. Food was not worth what we paid. We chose from the menu online and they didn't offer 1/2 if what was there AND the prices were triple what is posted online! When we asked about the pricing the woman said she has no idea and well have to "contact the manager tomorrow". After so many years in the community and additional locations, I would have expected better. Won't go back. Highly disappointed
i went there earlier today. the young lady at the register was polite.. but i saw the cook/possible manager being rude to the couple in front of me. i dont know the full scope of the conversation but the man was asking questions about spicy dishes and the cook replied each time as if the questions were bothering him. that right there makes me give only 1 star for service. if you go into a restaurant business you need to take some customer service classes before they had you the license. now for the food... taste is good.. presentation looks sloppy. temperature was on point. i ordered nachos.. after digging through the cheese, i found about 10 or so nacho chips all soggy on the bottom. if your plan is to eat nachos with a fork, then this is the place for you. no crunchy chips on this plate.

Walked in on a Taco Tuesday at 845. The place closes at 9. I ordered 2 orders of 3 chicken tacos. I received 1 order of chicken tacos and a nasty attitude and comment from the cashier. If you are open until 9, open until 9. I was planning on getting take out anyways. Been coming to you guys for years. Last time. Thanks
They kept my friend's order of more than 500 dollars. They are dishonest and thieving people.
We used to love this place and I have spent thousands of dollars here. Today this individual in the picture refused to take our order and treated me and my gf really bad. We were regular customers and I have never been treated like this before. This guy has to go. He needs to get fired before he mistreats someone else. Very disrespectful. Even the girl in the counter didn’t understand why he was being so rude.
Dont expect the kitchen to be open till close. Whoever owns this establishment must be desperate to hire a crew who stops taking orders whenever they please. If you work all day and rush to feed your family and expect freshly made quality food, go anywhere else. The crew is subject to change the hours of business depending on the direction of the wind, DO NOT come here.
Been here once, and never again. If I can REALLY give some overall advice, if the Mexican Restaurant isn’t in Homestead, don’t bother going. The tortillas used aren’t homemade, taste store bought and cheap yet the prices are ridiculous. Food tasted like a fake Mexican knock off. Also the cashier was kinda rude.
This place is loosing quality. I ordered soft tacos in the corn flour wrap, and what a surprises this thing was bite size. Not coming back here, it is a rip off.
1 star for being closed at 9pm on a Tuesday
The prices on the menu are not real. I don’t know if these is a different owner or what but once you get to the restaurant the prices are double on everything. The services is horrible as well and is not even a clean please. Do not go to this restaurant. I haven’t tried the other two locations yet but if they have the same issue is not even worth it to support this business. You’ll be better of driving to Midtown and eat at the Taco Stand.
Horrible Mexican food!!!! No way Jose! ! I've been 3 times because I love Mexican food I live 2 blocks away but would rather drive to Homestead or Taco Rico...I'm from El Paso Texas and this is wayyyyy over seasoned and a wet Burrito has no sauce ..dry. Terrible terrible! And the good reviews I saw were either family or people that don't know real delicious Mexican food! Go to Homestead you'll find Authentic food this is a farce.... Meat was so pungent with seasoning I could not eat it one bite and looked for leftovers in the fridge after a 12 hour day on my feet...I tried the one on SW 152nd also but did not enjoy it at all... I give the cooks a chance I know there are bad days but this has to be the recipe in both stores ....and that meat is used in tacos burritos tostadas ECT....
Chimichanga was super lazy, cheese wasn’t melted inside or out. Steak burrito was fine. Maybe I’d give this three stars to give the benefit of the doubt but I talked to two friends and they both had mediocre food served to them
I had an awful experience at this taco shop, especially considering the promotion they were running for a buy one, get one free offer. One of the salads I ordered came with absolutely no protein, which was a major issue. When I called to address the problem, they insinuated I was lying about it. I explained that I work nearby and don’t live nearby to come in the same day. I’d come the day after and that I even took photos to show them the missing protein. Instead of addressing the mistake, they told me that they could only offer me the meat and still questioned my honesty. To top it off, the staff was incredibly unprofessional throughout the entire exchange. I won’t be returning, and I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.
I just spent $81 and this was the worst Mexican food I have ever came across. The food has no flavor soggy looks they threw together. I would never recommend this restaurant to anyone. I rather eat taco bell then at the place.
Im so disappointed that I wasted $36 on food here and the cheese was not even melted.. its so bad I didn’t even eat it , I only liked the horchata and birria tacos.. never coming back here.

My friend accidentally sent her Kipling order to this restaurant owner’s address. Instead of just helping her sort it out, they kept the package, blocked her, and haven’t replied to any messages. Everyone makes mistakes, but what really matters is how you handle them — and this was handled really badly. Definitely not professional.
