Opiniones de Kevin's Noodle House San Francisco
Pho, egg rolls, rice plate with pork and chicken was all very good. Pho broth was very light and not very heavy on oil. What surprise me the most was the customer service compared to the Viet restaurant in ATL. Service was very quick and very attentive. Good portion of food for the price. Definitely recommend!
We stumbled upon Kevin & Chris’s Noodle House while exploring San Francisco’s Sunset district and decided to dive in for some comforting Vietnamese fare no reservations needed, and we were seated quickly in the casual dining room (put your name and party size on a sheet and they call your name). We ordered the medium pho along with shrimp appetizers and spring rolls, all of which impressed with their freshness, making it a solid spot for noodle lovers craving authentic flavors in the city. ATMOSPHERE: This no-frills Vietnamese eatery channels a bustling, community vibe think basic decor with tightly packed tables seating about 40-50, fluorescent lighting, and that constant hum of quick-turnaround diners enjoying steaming bowls. The aroma of simmering broths fills the air, drawing locals and visitors alike in a perpetually lively space that’s efficient and unpretentious perfect for a casual meal in the Sunset, though it can feel crowded during peaks. MENU: The menu highlights Vietnamese staples like pho in various sizes and proteins, rice plates, vermicelli bowls, and appetizers including spring rolls, shrimp cakes, and grilled meats. Broths are flavorful and balanced, with options for customization no fancy twists, but affordable and generous portions that keep it straightforward for noodle enthusiasts. FOOD: Pho (Medium) The medium pho arrived piping hot with a rich, aromatic broth that’s not too fatty or salty, loaded with tender noodles, fresh herbs, and your choice of meats it was comforting and flavorful, easily one of the better bowls we’ve had in SF, perfect for slurping on a cool day. Shrimp Appetizers and Spring Rolls Both the shrimp appetizers (crispy shrimp cakes) and spring rolls were crisp and freshly fried, with a golden exterior that gave way to juicy fillings, accompanied by a nice sweet and sour sauce that added a tangy kick without overpowering. They were addictive starters, great for sharing and setting the tone for the meal highly recommended for their texture and freshness. SERVICE: Service was prompt and efficient our order came out ridiculously fast (within minutes), with friendly staff smiling and handling the busy room like pros, making us feel welcome despite the quick pace. TIPS: No reservations, so go during off-hours to snag a table without wait, as it packs up quickly. Parking on Irving Street is street-only and competitive, so consider public transit like the N-Judah Muni line. Prices are reasonable (under $20 for a full meal), but portions are hearty watch for add-ons to customize. Pair your pho with a lychee shake for a sweet finish! OVERALL: Was it worth the visit? Absolutely. Kevin & Chris’s Noodle House serves up crave-worthy Vietnamese comforts like fresh pho and crispy appetizers in a lively SF setting that’s all about quick, delicious satisfaction. We’ll be back for more bowls next time we’re in the Sunset.
Kevin & Chris’s Noodle House at 1833 Irving St in San Francisco’s Sunset District is a total win for tourists craving authentic Vietnamese food! Their phở is a standout—rich, cozy broth packed with beefy flavor, fresh noodles, and perfect meatballs. I tried the beef phở and a vermicelli bowl, and both were super tasty and under $15! The place is always buzzing, but the staff are quick and friendly, getting your food out fast. It’s a casual, no-fuss spot, great for families or a quick bite after exploring the city. The mango shake with tapioca pearls is a sweet bonus! Open daily from 11 AM to 9 PM, it’s easy to swing by. If you’re in SF and want legit, affordable Vietnamese, this is your spot—total comfort food heaven
This place is really great. When we went for lunch it was very busy with a short line outside so we knew the food would be good (we were not disappointed!). The setting is very casual, service was good, and the food came very fast. If I remember correctly I ordered the chicken and shrimp vermicelli and it was very tasty. I would totally recommend this place and I will dine here again if I’m in the area.
I was very surprised how much I enjoyed their Spring Rolls with their delicious peanut sauce, I got the Bowl #30 with egg noodles which was perfect to warmed me up bc that evening San Francisco got pretty chilled, more than I was expecting. HANDS DOWN for their #81 TARO SHAKE with The freshest Pearls I ever eaten. Is an old building, restrooms need a touch but their food is amazing and it gets packed very quick so ur service it will take time.
NO APPLE PAY! Please be careful that they have only cash/ credit card options as of 1 july 2024. One of the best Phos I ever had- the soup was very delicious, it was light and fresh. We also ordered spring rolls, meat balls and they also served the pho with sprouts, cilantro, lemon and jalapenos. Loved the chicken soup and the small portion itself was huge for me. Definitely worth visiting again!
This restaurant follows simple concepts of great hosting! The place is spacious but still you might have to wait for a table because of the high demand! The staff are super efficient like a bee hive. The ingredients of all the dishes we ordered look and taste very fresh and clean! I will definitely come back again!
Good place for Pho with very reasonable price. Most of medium size rice noddle soup is $10. They are very busy and all tables were occupied at 5:30pm (Saturday, not sure if that is the case in weekdays). The rare beef is special good and tender comparing with other places. Service is okay given the reasonable prices in this place.
Cute, locals pho' noodles . They're fast to serve the food. They only had one person serving, but the food is really good ! Very fresh and delicious. They have 3 sizes of bowls that are generous! The price is fair. If you don't chat a lot while there and do not want the meter tonrun too long, you can be in and out within 30/45 mins. Will definitely go back when in the city!
We’ve been here several times and I guess it’s been a bit of a disappointment each time. I had a large bowl of combo meat and seafood pho and my wife had the grilled pork with rice. The pho was almost tasteless and watery. The grilled pork was very good. We also had the imperial rolls which were very small or thin and mostly shell, so that was not great either. Service was ok and the place was crowded for a Saturday afternoon. I don’t think we’d be back.
Very good pho broth but don't expect customer service. The waiters weren't rude but they're very efficient, make small talk, and get you your food. It also threw me off a little because you have to sign in at the front before a waiter will seat you. It's a small restaurant so not ideal for large groups but they can accommodate if you don't mind the wait. All in all, the pho saved the complicated parking and seating and I'd return if I'm ever in the area again.
The pho soup was not hot enough. Ricepaper shrimp rolls were sticking together. Service, so so, the guy who's directing customers to seats was kinda impolite. If no need to go to the only restroom, do not go, very unhygienic.
Okay- this place has good food. It was really yummy food! Until I found not one not two but THREE! THREE strands of hair in my pho. Not like three of the same sized strands either. It was two the length of a man’s hair and one the length of a woman’s hair. I was so disappointed since the food was so good😔 now it just feels like theres hair in my mouth. I didn’t get a refund either.
