Opiniones de Peasant Pies San Francisco
Great small pies- savory and sweet! Pies can be heated up for you to enjoy hot. From the mouth of the cashier, the most popular vegetarian pie is spinach/feta and the most popular vegan pie is the garbanzo bean curry. I can vouch for the garbanzo bean curry pie- it was yummy and not too spicy either if you’re worried about that. I’ve yet to try the spinach/feta but will probably come back at some point for it. I also tried the eggs and veggie pie but wasn’t as impressed. The consistency of the eggs was a little mealy rather than smooth like a quiche, which wasn’t to my personal preference (pics attached), though not bad. I also tried the berry custard pie and enjoyed that a lot- just like a mini fruit tart! Some small table space inside but no outlets that I could see. Went in a bit past 1pm and was not too busy. Pies we’re ready quickly and are perfectly sized to hold in your hand and bite into without need for utensils. Friendly and thoughtful staff. I appreciated how the person behind the counter labeled the vegan pie, answered my questions about allergies knowledgeably, and was patient with my indecision over which pies to get (luckily there was no one behind me).
The man working behind the counter was very friendly and helpful. They have two vegan pies and he recommended the vegan garbanzo pie. It was delicious with garbanzo beans and curry!
Dropped by as their vegan pie caught my eye. The size was perfect and hearty as well. It’s nice that the crust was soft, not too thick nor too thin. I ate the lentil, yam, cumin and onion pie that was heated in their front table near the window. They had meat, poultry, seafood, veggies and vegan options plus salads and sweet pies so I am going back to try more!
This is the first time I tried peasants pie. It was so good the server let us heat it up a little bit. They were very patient with us and it’s a very good selection with decent price. The environment was calm and they do provide some seating inside. I think it’s a casual place to grab a quick breakfast or on a go lunch.
INCREDIBLE!! Peasant Pies is a great resturant (a top spot worth a stop ifs you're in the area!!) and also happens to be the highest rated vendor among those offered via BearBuy at UCSF in terms of sustainability and diversity. The food speaks for itself: Delicious, handcrafted hand-held pies-the baking on the exterior is craveable and the interior flavorful, crafted from locally sourced, well-spiced and delicious ingredients. Final note: the Team, from Ali to head baker, is AMAZING!!! They put their hearts into it, and it shows. I couldn't reccomend more highly
My partner and I were looking for an afternoon snack. This was the perfect stop for us. I got the chicken pie and he got the beef and potato pie. Both were delicious in their own ways. Service was super friendly. I’d definitely come back and try something different another day
Great option if you want to break away from your normal breakfast & lunch routine. How about pie! Savory and sweet hand-pies can be had here and reasonable at a tad over $5 each. I had the sausage, egg, potatoes as my savory and it was good, but the fresh berry custard one was amazing! The cappuccino was on point! Cute cafe in the more quiet side of Inner Sunset!
Such cute and amazing hand held pies! The strawberry rhubarb is seasonal but the peach was delicious and classic chicken pot pie was both solid and what one would hope for. You can ask for the pies to be heated or can take them home for later The gal was very nice and the shop was busy when we arrived
I came at the right time and waited no longer than 2 mins to be helped. It's not often you find a business that specializes in savory pies as well as dessert pies. I'm more of a savory pie than a dessert pie person. Their Sausage egg potato, egg veggie cheese, and chicken pp was so delicious! Perfect size perfect portion to be able to try multiple flavors in one sitting. The owner is super friendly!
I came back from a trip to the UK recently, and loved their savory pies. So happy this place does them just as well as their UK counterparts. Would definitely recommend, and they’re so nice here :)

We recently ordered pies from Peasant Pies for our office and they were a huge hit! The pies were absolutely delicious and our team couldn't stop raving about them. A special shoutout to Ally, who was so great to work with – incredibly helpful, responsive, and just genuinely nice throughout the entire ordering process. She made everything so easy! We'll definitely be ordering from Peasant Pies again. Highly recommend for any office events or gatherings!
I did an online pick up order and service was excellent. I was running behind the lady called to confirm if I was picking it up still. I told her I was on my way and when I got there pickup was simple and easy. It was a birthday gift it looked beautiful and it was delicious. I ordered 2 vanilla pie and 2 blueberry pies. I totally would recommend this place to anyone wanting a sweet treat or looking for a special gift for a special occasion.
Got the chicken pie, chocolate pie, and coffee. The pies were delish! Really nice crusts and flavorful fillings. The coffee was straightforward and simple. The guy at the counter was very sweet and helpful!
We had a last-minute change of plans and needed a pie at the eleventh hour, and this was one of the busiest times of year (Thanksgiving)…and Ali went out of his way and above and beyond to get a 9" Apple Crumble Pie made for my son‘s 15th birthday. AND the pie was DELICIOUS!!! We could not recommend this place more highly, and we will definitely be back for more pies in the future. :)
The flan pie is the best treat I had since coming to SF, fyi. Very friendly staff who’s kind to kids n elderly visiting.

Stumbled upon this neighborhood pie shop, they sold a variety of small pies in both sweet and savory options. We tried the creamy chicken pot pie and pumpkin tart. It tastes quite authentically like traditional pie, but I would say the chicken is quite heavy handed on black pepper. The pumpkin tart has cream cheese in it, cream cheese doesn’t overpower the pumpkin flavor. Staff were all amazing at this shop, very kind.
I stopped by Peasant Pies one morning and had two savory pies, both are served hot which feels so nice on a chilly morning. I'm probably more of a fan of the classic chicken pie which is creamy and sweet but the beef and potato pie, though a bit spicy, is delicious as well. Quick service and fair price.
Good place for a neighborhood stop in. Best was the egg + ham breakfast pie. Chicken pie was peppery, but disappointingly bland / average. There is not much seating. Plan on stopping in but not staying. Coffee is nice and strong but also bland.
Went with the chicken pie and ham egg and cheese pie. The chicken pie was still a little cold in the middle unfortunately, but was still pretty decent! Could’ve used more chunks of chicken versus a more homogenized mix. Love us since savory parties though.

Not great for vegans. The lentil pie is quite bland and just as expensive as their other pies, even though lentils are so cheap. If they charge extra for seafood, by the same token they should be charging less for the vegan options. Edit in response to owner: Yes, I get that the seafood is significantly more expensive. And my point is that lentils are significantly less expensive than their meat ingredients. Hence by the same logic, the vegan (lentil, chickpea) options should be cheaper. If you charge more for ingredients that are more expensive, you can charge less for ingredients that are less expensive. The fact that there is such a high markup on the vegan pies, combined with the lack of effort in creating a tasty option, shows that there is not much consideration for their vegan clients.
I got a spinach and feta pie and a pear crumble. The guy working the counter was SO nice and kind. My poor review is strictly based on the food. Spinach and feta pie - just know the dough is like pizza dough. That's not a bad thing but just be prepared for it as I was expecting pie crust, or like a puff pastry type hand pie. I couldn't taste the feta at all, only whatever other cheese is in there (Monterey jack I think?) No egg taste either. Overall it tasted fine, but it wasn't what I was expecting since they market it as "spinach and feta". Pear crumble - unfortunately this was awful! The pears were crunchy and tasted weird. Maybe they used unripe pears, I don't know. The pears are also just plain, not cooking in syrup or anything. The crumble topping was lackluster and didn't overcome the taste of the weird pears. The crust was fine, if you ate it without the pears.
