Opiniones de Seven Grams Caffe New York
Hands down the best coffee in all of NYC! This is my favorite coffee shop in Manhattan. Consistently great coffee and pastries. It’s a little on the expensive side, but definitely worth the price. Workers are always friendly too! When I lived closer, I would come here multiple times a day. I will always recommend this spot ☕️❤️
This place is a great alternative to the Starbucks type places, the 7 grams is the amount of espresso in a perfect pour. They have vegan cookies and scones that are to die for! Super gooey and yummy, great flavour combos (I'm a sucker for orange and chocolate!).
My Americano was so so good, and I can be a bit picky. Very smooth. Also got some cookies- think they would have been better warm.
I am eating their take out "Classic Chocolate Chip" cookies now. Absolutely amazing for packaged cookies. I wish I could buy something like this in my supermarket. My waistline is definitely better off for it though.
Busy so hard to catch a seat but friendly staff and amazing cookies (and coffee)
Coffee: good lattes, flavor shots, local farm milk, and chai / cold brew / other beverages Pastries: their chocolate-almond croissant was legit (real butter, not too sweet) Service: warm and friendly Price: average Space: Glass (lots of light) and fairly high ceilings; doesn’t feel crowded like a lot of other coffee spots in NYC For a quick coffee and pastry this is a great spot. The only improvement I’d wish for is a few fruit or juice options on the menu.
Chocolate Cherry scone was so so delicious - melt in your mouth, not too sweet. Vanilla oat milk latte was perfect and the espresso flavor is so good.
Outstanding Coffee, Thoughtful Treats, and Genuine Enthusiasm Seven Grams Caffé on 7th Avenue has been a cornerstone of my visits to Manhattan, and now I can confidently say their Madison Avenue location matches the exceptional quality and charm. This café has become a must-stop for me, and it’s easy to see why. This morning, one of the staff members remarked, “I’m just excited by your enthusiasm for our product.” I couldn’t help but respond, “Well, you’re obviously enthusiastic too—you called it ‘our’ product.” That sense of pride and ownership is tangible here, and it shows in everything they do. The coffee is simply superb—expertly crafted with care and precision. The desserts are more than just indulgences; they’re thoughtful and conscientious creations, as pleasing to the palate as they are to the eye. The team’s range of expertise is impressive. At their baseline, they are knowledgeable and competent, and at their best, they are as enthusiastic about their craft as I am about enjoying it. If you’re in the city, take a moment to stretch your legs and your coffee palate. Seven Grams Caffé offers more than just coffee; it’s an experience you’ll want to revisit.
I was there just before 8am and this croissant was literally just coming out of the oven, which is probably why I thoroughly enjoyed it (I’ve been doing croissants wrong all this time!). Warm, light flakey layers but moist and fluffy at the same time, not-so-sweet-not-too-bitter gooey chocolate. Paired perfectly with my americano. There was only one other customer so I was served expeditiously by the cashier who was also apparently making the croissants and cookies.
Delicious cappuccino (I don’t add sugar an could taste the flavorful coffee) and the chocolate chip cookie had a good flavor that lingered even after the bite.
The cookies. The COOKIES. I am obsessed 😭 I wish I could make these gooey cookies at home but I can’t so I come here and try to steal the recipe from their ingredient list but it’s no contest. Coffee is good, atmosphere is good. But the cookies. Urgh. THE BEST IVE EVER HAD. IF I COULD DATE THIS COOKIE HE WOULD BE MY BOO. Get the OG or the matcha.
Delicious latte!! I went for almond milk and it actually tasted almond-y not too sweet and was so so good! Also got a gluten free & vegan cookie, which I so appreciate seeing because it’s SO hard to find the combo of both. It was insanely good!!! This is probably the first gluten free/vegan cookie I’ve ever had that tasted like a real, quintessential old school bakery style cookie. I’ve had good gf/v cookies before, but this was on another level!
First time in this sweet coffeeshop. They bake everything fresh daily which is why it tasted so good. I took the flourless brownie bites and loved them (which they add tahini to them like they do with the other brownies . I got oat milk latte and the barista offered to add honey for me when I didn’t like the home made syrups which was super nice of her (in general , even though she was all by herself, service was nice and friendly). They’re very good with labeling what vegan and not which I really liked .
I really like this coffee shop and it's located near my gym. The vegan chocolate chip cookie is to die for, I mean seriously. I couldn't even tell where it was vegan and neither can anyone else that I let try it. The coffee is amazing and the stuff is super nice. I usually am able to find somewhere to sit anytime that I go. They have plenty of alternate milks. They give you free water that you actually get to drink out of a real glass.
It's a nice place and they have good hours. The mocha was awesome with a picture perfect pour and the chai was great as well. There are some seats inside that we sat at while we talked and sipped, but the seats are very open so there is not a lot of privacy. The place was quiet and there was a good selection of baked goods and snacks as well. You can also buy coffee beans to bring home.
Had the vegan chocolate chip cookie, and it definitely provided me an eye-opening experience. I’ve never had a vegan choc chip, but this time definitely served up some creative energy I was seeking. The hostess contributed to the whole mindful experience, and I ate the cookie knowing what was put into it. Thankful for the awareness and looking to visit again 🙏🏾
I stayed in NYC recently and grabbed a coffee here and got some work done in the morning as it was close to my hotel. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. Their vegan blueberry scone was delicious, and the atmosphere was friendly. There isn’t a lot of seating so it wouldn’t work for large groups, but it was just what I needed!
I love to try new cafe / coffee shops anywhere we travel too. Never been to one of these locations before but this one was near our hotel we stayed at, so I stopped in to grab coffees. Wasn’t such a fan of my ice beverage but still enjoyed trying something new, it wasn’t bad ; it just wasn’t what I’m use to tasting in my coffee. The hot coffee was enjoyable to my wife and said she’d recommend it; so there’s that.
What a wonderful way to start the day! Found this enticing caffe on my way to work. The in house baked scones, cookies, and croissants were calling my name! Despite my desire to try one of each I managed enough restraint to only try the almond croissants on this visit 🥐 and boy was I pleasantly surprised! I was expecting it to be a potential dry and flaky pastry- never happier to be wrong. MmmMmm! This could be addictive!
I stumbled upon Seven Grams Cafe on a misty morning and couldn't have been happier with my find. This cute coffee shop in the Chelsea neighborhood offers a cozy atmosphere and friendly service that greets you with a smile. I tried one of their croissants, which was easily one of the best I've had in a long time—crispy on the outside, buttery and flaky on the inside. To accompany my croissant, I had a black coffee, which had a wonderful flavor profile with low acidity, making it smooth and enjoyable. The combination of the delicious pastry and the well-crafted coffee made for a perfect start to my day. If you're in Chelsea and looking for a charming spot to enjoy a great coffee and pastry, I highly recommend Seven Grams Cafe.
Starting each morning with a visit to Seven Grams Coffee is a delightful experience. The coffee is consistently excellent, offering a rich and robust flavor that awakens the senses. Complementing the beverage selection is an array of delicious food options that make for a perfect light meal. It's the ideal way to begin any day.
Good coffee. I liked that they open early.
Needed a jolt and stopped in for a drip coffee. It’s pretty good, not my fave, but similar taste to Joe or Bluebottle I think. The bakery smelled delicious and if I’d had the calories to spare I would’ve splurged for one of their chocolate chip cookies, which was $5 but looked worth it!
They have wonderful vegan options. Like others have said, the cookie textures differ from day to day — sometimes crispy and sometimes chewy. But can’t go wrong with the blueberry scone!
Cute setup in the shop for sitting and a good working environment. The drip coffee was a bit sour. For you coffee enthusiasts out there, if you want to enjoy a coffee for it's flavours, this place isn't it. Other than that, the aroma was great because of the fresh baked food. Prices are competitive for drinks and a bit more premium for snacks. Croissants are about $6 and the coffee small was about $4.
Light roast and medium roast coffees are great, though I prefer their medium/darker roast. The pastries are also delicious - olive oil bread and chocolate chip banana bread especially. Baristas are super nice and they have almond milk. Not usually crowded even on weekday morning rush hours, and there are usually a couple seats available (but limited seating in general). Their rewards program just links to your credit card/phone number so you don’t have to carry around a separate card which is awesome. No substantial food offerings, the heaviest savory thing would be a spinach filled pastry.
VEGAN OPTIONS✔️ GOOD COFFEE ✔️ ROOMY ✔️ plenty of tables and ample seating ✔️ NO RESTROOM✖️ Nice coffee spot in an extremely busy part of 7th Avenue near F.I.T. It is very spacious, the coffee is good, and it is nice and roomy. Lack of restroom does not make this an ideal cafe stop over, so despite the seating it’s better as a deluxe grab and go. Maybe sit for a minute or two and read a short poem.
Solid coffee shop, I don't know if it's vegan based or they just have a variety of options that caters to everyone. It's a coffee shop that charges Manhattan coffee shop prices, so don't be surprised at the end amount. We got a matcha latte, café Au lait, red velvet cookie, and a matcha cookie. Came out to about 20 something.
Visited here in the afternoon with a friend. Quick services, friendly. Cappuccino was a classic. Same as the peanut butter cookie. I will say the vegan chocolate cookie is more outstanding✨ (had it last time visiting.)
Not the best experience for coffee in the City. I was attracted by the Tiramisu Latte. I got in and the barista was kind annoyed that I requested that because apparently it is a lot of work for them. It cost aroun $13. It was crazy for me. The place was quiet but we not a lot of seats available. We waited that someone left before sitting. Then the disappointing part was the coffee… no resemblance with the taste of tiramisu. For sure I will not get that latte again but I’ll give them another chance for something else.
Service and atmosphere were nice. Good place to sit for a couple of minutes. I had the tiramisu latte, London fog cookie, chocolate chip cookie, and peanut butter chocolate chip cookie. The coffee was better than most in NYC. The cookies were lacking in terms of flavor and texture given the price of $6.75/cookie. The chocolate chip is similar to Levain's whereas the London fog and peanut butter cookie is more similar to Culture's but fall short of their competitors.
The cookies taste good and I like that there is a variety of flavors. The texture is not consistent with every cookie. I prefer these cookies when they are a little gooey on the inside. Sometimes they are a bit more baked through. I gotta say the cookies are a little expensive imo. Other reviews have made comments regarding friendly service. I did NOT have the same experience. The guy who helped me was short with me and his tone was impatient. I did not feel welcome.
Heard rave reviews about this place and was excited to check it out. Realized the downtown location isn't open on Sundays, so ended up at this 7th Ave location. Had the mocha and it was perfect. Didn't have to add sweetener. Also bought a chocolate chip cookie and I was AMAZING! So fresh and gooey! The chocolate is creamy. Both severs were super nice and the wait wasn't long. It's close to the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) so it gets crowded pretty fast. Perfect place for coffee and a fresh pastries. Definitely recommend!
Solid little coffee shop. All of the drinks that I have had here have been good, definitely things I’d order again but not mind blowing 'I've never had anything this good before' level good. They have a decent amount of space to sit and work, service is quick and friendly, and they have lots of pastries and other goodies to go with your drinks, but I have not tried them. Definitely worth a stop for their good drinks and bonus points for consistency.
Coffee spot in South Village. We was in the area and decided to stop by for coffee. Coffee was surprisingly good and we got green tea cookie it was also good. Very thick and gooey with good flavor of green tea. There’s good choice of pastries that is backed fresh daily. You also can take home cookies chocolate chips and green tea. It’s plenty of outside seating area.
All the baristas are so unfriendly, but the coffee is so damn good! The cookies are legit the best I’ve had. Special shout out to the matcha cookie.
Independent roaster serving their own stuff exclusively. No single origins available on drip or espresso when we stopped in but there were bags of a few South American and one Ethiopian option that were sufficiently fresh (mostly 12/18 and a couple 1/8 dated bags during our 1/15 visit). The bagged house beans ("med roast") used for drip smelled ok but the espresso roast was oily and overdeveloped for my taste, with heavy amine notes that came through even in the cortado. The caramel latte was more palatable. Milk texture etc was good on both drinks but flavor-wise there's no saving that roast on espresso without a lot of sugar. Overall it's an ok stop for a quick fix but there was far more exciting stuff easily accessible within a couple blocks.
Really cute cafe with a decent selection of pastries and drinks. I did not try any caffeinated drinks so I can't comment on the quality of the coffee. Hot Chocolate ($4.75) - pretty sweet and very creamy (I got oat milk instead of regular milk- they also have almond milk and soy milk options). I wish the chocolate flavor was a bit stronger, but a nice hot chocolate if you really like sweet drinks. Chocolate Almond Croissant ($4) - nice combination of sweet almond paste and a darker less sweet chocolate filling. Would definitely visit again if I'm in the area! The service was extremely nice and lots of seating available.
We took the tiramisu latte 12$ and a protien cookie 8.5$ (both before tax, total was 23$!). The cookie was good, the latte was really not. everything is really overpriced and we won’t be coming back.
Do not buy the Tiramisu Latte! Overpriced for a whole lot of nothing. It does not even taste like a tiramisu.
I just got the 12 dubai cookies and I gotta be honest, they are not that great.. ok at best, overpriced absolutely! Kinda disappointed
Coffee wasn’t great (threw it out couldn’t drink it) and staff weren’t the nicest
Stopped here because I heard great things about the chocolate chip cookie- which was amazing but not worth $6. The server had a bad attitude, very unfriendly right from the get go. Also ordered an almond milk latte and was surprised that it tasted so bad… weird flavour like dirty water. I’m not one to complain but for a place with great reviews and the latte being $6, I thought it would be way better. Mentioned it to the server, and was told the unsweetened almond milk made it taste bad. I order the same thing in most coffee shops and the milk doesn’t make a latte taste like dirt water. The server wouldn’t change the drink for me and was just rude. So disappointing. As much as the cookie was good… I won’t be returning.
Good coffee selection and capable baristas, but a few things were frustrating: • WiFi would not connect despite 45 minutes of trying all kinds of diagnostics • no receipt (even digital) was offered upon/after payment • water cups were old plastic with what seemed like bite marks all across the top rim? pretty gross
Nice atmosphere. You can tell they put a lot of time an energy into building out the space. The coffee is decent too. I have no complaints about the quality of their goods. I’m leaving a low review because they need to learn to orient lids so that coffee does not drip down the side and stain your clothing. The seam goes on the opposite side of the hole (see photo).
I got the tiramisu latte and a chocolate chip cookie. The cookies look good at first glance but was dry and very disappointing. The latte was very mediocre, does not taste like tiramisu and I don’t feel anything makes it “tiramisu” other than the cocoa powder on top. Overpriced and not worth it. Definitely do not recommend.
Seven Grams Caffe has my favorite cookies in NYC. Unfortunately, I had a terrible experience at this location. I bought two cookies, and the cashier was unpleasant. I requested specific cookies from the shelf, and he seemed upset by my request. He threw the cookies into the bag and handed it to me in a similar manner. Even if he was in a bad mood, he shouldn't have shown it to a customer. I love Seven Grams, but I will not go to this location again in my life. It doesn't even deserve one star.
I got a chocolate chip cookie from here, I wouldn’t get it again. It was not enjoyable. The cookie was filled with chocolate and not fresh. It was overpriced, $6.50 for a chocolate chip cookie is insane plus it wasn’t anything special. I came at 6pm so that was probably the case. I felt like I was just eating a mountain of chocolate. The service was great, they were very kind.
Coffee is mid, cookies are good, staff is very rude, especially this one barista who responded "I don't know, it's a latte" when I asked if the latte was mine or someone else's. If you can't service customers well, why work at a coffee shop? Not coming back.
I love their coffee and cookie and I buy coffee here regularly. All of the people were really nice until today. One of the female Barista is super rude and she ruined the good impression I had about this store.
Very mid coffee. Very scammy adding 3 dollars on ‘vanilla flavor’ for a coffee without telling you 3 dollars. Avoid this shop
Complete garbage. I ordered the cookies online and they were absolutely disgusting. And for them to be so expensive, IM HELLA MAD. Just look at the pictures. They look like hockey pucks right out the box. Even after I warmed them in the oven, they stayed dry & hard. Taste like saw dust. This company really oughta be ashamed. SAVE YOUR MONEY.
