Can I give it seven stars? Reasonably priced drinks, good service, and BEST, MOST FUN KARAOKE EVER!! Ben on the piano is SO talented, and all the singers seemed to pick hits. It was our city highlight, bar none. We will definitely be back!

My boyfriend and I spent the day exploring Chelsea Market, Little Island, The Highline, and Hudson Yards. We decided that we would walk back to our hotel in Times Square. We love live music and this is how I can upon Sid Gold’s Request Room. Other than that I didn’t read any of the other reviews. At first it was a little hard to find, but we found it. When we walked in there was nobody in the front half of the bar except two bartenders. It was a Monday night. The asked us if we were there to see the piano and that we just needed to go behind the curtain. When we went behind the curtain to the other half of the bar we found piano karaoke of showtunes and musicals. The individuals singing were extremely talented. We felt like we were on Broadway. I wanted to sing Hello Dolly but I was too scared maybe next time after some practice. The next morning I asked my boyfriend what his favorite part of the day before was and he said the piano karaoke. He said they all just sang so beautifully and it was such a unique experience. I said that’s what I love about Mew York City you can go for a walk any place and stumble across one of the best times or nights you have had. Everyone was welcoming and kind at Sid Gold’s thanks for sharing your talents with us.

Sid Gold's Detroit for the win! We hosted a pre-wedding karaoke party for our chorus singing wedding guests and had the TIME OF OUR LIVES! Friendly and helpful staff, delicious drinks, welcoming and supportive karaoke space, and fantastic accompanist. We truly could not have imagined a better way to kick off our wedding weekend, and we can't wait to come back soon, and check out the New York location. Huge shout out to Eduardo and John for hooking our larger than standard group up with the space so quickly, and making the reservation process so smooth. If you are in Detroit, and want that wonderful motown vibe, you can't pass up Sid Gold's.

Unexpected fun and joy in the city. Piano karaoke was awesome. All audience were so nice too. Audience'sreact to singer was cheerful. Looking from outside, nobody can guess there is piano karaoke inside 😂

Here's the thing that makes a piano karaoke bar the best thing ever... the crazy supportive atmosphere. From the pianist to the audience, if you start floundering they will save you. The best songs are the ones where everyone gets to join in on the chorus. There's zero pressure to perform, but if you do... High fives abound! The skill level is a great mix. And what you don't have in skill, you can easily make up with alcohol. The pours have gotten better, thank God, so my brokeass can still make a night of if for well under 50 bucks. But don't forget to bring cash to fill up the jar! The microphone may not smell like a beer, but if you sit at the bar, put bread in the jar and say, "Man, what are you doin' here?" I'm stealing Julian's schtick, but I'm sure the King of Banter doesn't mind. I usually come for Julian Velard's session on Wednesdays 9pm - 1am, but I need to start coming more than once a week. There are other pianists and performers in rotation and Joe McGinty's playlist is turning into the Magna Carta. I would never judge you for practicing before hand. Just don't listen to Aretha Franklin's version of "Bridge Over Troubled Water". Don't do it to yourself. That's just cruel. Of course Billy Joel is on the playlist, but so are Wham! and Madonna. If you can manage Borderline, you're my hero. I have never failed to have a great time here. Never. Piano karaoke is AWESOME.

We had a great night here. We didn’t realize how live piano karaoke worked so got up and were lost. But the pianist helped us along and the crowd was helpful! Drinks were okay. I wish there had been more people in the club as it was only about half full and the same 4 people kept getting up to sing.

This review would be 5 stars but the AC was broken on a 90+ degree evening. Sid Gold’s was fantastic! I met friends for a joint birthday party and it was the perfect atmosphere for our group of 10. We started seated in the front with drinks and moved to the bar to stand as the group increased in size and to share food. The food was great and I highly recommend the pizza’s and the pigs in a blanket! At some point we moved to the back room for piano karaoke. Yes! It is as amazing as it sounds. Some of the signers were superb and they graciously put up with our off-key bunch. I should mention I went on a Monday night and it was still great fun. Got home way too late and couldn’t believe the time we had. Thanks to the bartender and the pianist for a great night.

Loved the piano bar, but Tina is by far THE worst server my friends and I have ever had. If I were a business owner I would be extremely concerned to have her representing the company. She was rude to anyone who entered the bar, condescending at the table, extremely disrespectful to the paying patrons. The other man behind the bar said some super crude/sexual stuff to my guy friend. And Wendy at the piano was also pretty rude. Really cute bar, but horrible service.

DONT GO HERE!!! They freaking serve watered down drinks. I ordered an old fashioned and it was literally (not exaggerating), only water. And it didn't happen with only one drink - to name a few, stawberry fields and always on my mind. The service was also a little slow as well, just saying. The piano karaoke is cool, though, only if you get drunk somewhere else before. FYI, this place doesn't serve food, that's why the one star is for food. All they have is peanuts and popcorn. I wouldn't recommend this place at all for any occasion or person. There are way better bars around here. I might have given less than one star if I could. Order unopened beer here to be safe. Learn from my mistakes and run to a better one. Peace ✌️☮️ Update- Response to the owner's comment: Yeah, I did order 5 drinks between 3 people. As I mentioned earlier, 3 of our 5 drinks were watered down that's more than half of our drinks. Also, I did tell your server about the watered down drinks, which she took back. She brought back drinks that were a tad less watered down, then disappeared for the rest of the night. So, as the owner I'd recommend for you to look into what happened with the direct service staff with my experience instead of detailing the success of you private event. Unless of course you feel you were successful enough for the night that a reduction for in quality for a few clientele is insignificant. Also, I'd recommend you also look into consumer behavior more, as most consumers tend to not lean towards not openly complaining and simply not returning. If you have time after looking into your quality assurance issues.
