Always a polite, friendly and smiling person at the drive-thru window. Their food is delicious! Especially their Smokehouse BBQ Chix Sandwich! 😁
One of the nicer Panera's I have been to. Large inside with lots of seating. A bunch of outdoor seating as well. Staff is fast but there is also the "order by tablet" option where you can enter your own order for even faster service.
I went thru the drive thru. I was greeted by Evelyn. What a pleasant way to start my morning!!! She was personable, friendly and just a pleasure to deal with. Kudos to you for having her as part of your staff. :) Oh, and my breakfast was wonderful as well.
One of my favorite places for a quick bite. Usually stop in for a late afternoon snack that often becomes an early dinner. Their selection can be a bit limited, but thei quality is top notch. Soups are qreat and the bakery items are to die for. Staff is always patient and friendly. They deliver your order to your table. A nice touch. Also, you can add a tip when you order or you can drop it in the tip jar.
I Came through their Drive thru a few nights ago, it was pretty late and was surprised they were even open - honestly not sure why went there and I sat at the speaker and waited until finally this wonderful girl Rachel came on and told me to just pull up she knows what I need. At first I was a little confused and even concered but when I got to the window Rachel just sold me a soup container of espresso, the family size one too. I didn't realize it at the time, but that was exactly what I needed.
I don't think I've ever had a bad bacon turkey Bravo. Consistently great. I hear it's a hard sandwich to make so my apologies to the employees because I'm going to keep ordering it over and over and over.
Just went through the drive-through they forgot my salad dressing and butter so I had to go inside. The gentleman was very helpful and more than made up for it, love the food love the service! Big thank you to the guy that helped me out!
Fast and friendly service. Food as expected. No wait during our visit. Plenty of parking.
I got a you pick two, the bacon turkey bravo and autumn squash soup. Both were delicious. They were served quick and prepared exactly as requested (I added cucumbers and frizzled onions to my sandwich). The tables were very clean also.
This location of Panera does a great job. The order is always right and the food is always fresh. The only downside is that it is pretty popular so sometimes you might have to wait. I would suggest using the Panera app and ordering ahead as I have found the preparation times to be very reliable.
Stupendous!! I was actually shocked that it wasn't packed with people during lunch time. We arrived around 1:00 p.m. for lunch, our food was delicious and served hot and fresh. The only thing that I didn't understand was why (and it was 76゚ out that day) they had the fireplace going inside the restaurant. It made it very uncomfortable at the surrounding tables, because the fireplace was throwing off heat.
The Team At The Saratoga Store Is Top Notch! Madison Could Not Be Anymore Sweet Or Attentive To Her Customers! What A Pleasure To Have Her Assist With Our Order! BTW, The Stores Selection Of Pastries Was Outstanding! Size, Certainly Does Matter! Thank You So Much! Be Back Soon!
This is a nice large Panerai with lots of places to sit. Some tables are regular height and others are higher up with stools. Even though it's big, it's pretty easy to get a table where you can talk with your dining companions without feeling like everyone else in the place can hear you. The tables are spaced well so it doesn't feel crowded and the interior walls help break up the space so it's more intimate. Panera has recently revised it menu and the food is good.
Great spot for a quick lunch
It used to be great quality, fast service, and clean. I had to change my rating based on my recent experience. First of all, there was no one to take our orders. We had to order through the kiosk. It would have been fine except that I, along with those around me, had a lot of difficulty getting the machine to read the card. Once it took, we looked for a place to sit. All of the tables were dirty. There were surface wipes, so we were able to clean the tables. I ordered the steak and cheese sandwich with a soup. The sandwich was skimpy. It had one small thin piece of steak. The broccoli and cheddar soup are always good. I am not sure if there is a staff shortage, but I was disappointed with the quality of the food, the service, and the cleanliness of the restaurant. I will not let this one bad experience deter me from visiting again, but if the service doesn't improve, I will have to find a new location. Update: The service has greatly improved since my latest visit. I'm happy that everything is back to normal.
Fast and efficient service. The portions have gotten smaller over the past year and the prices have increased, but that's everywhere. As for this location, the staff are always so very nice and friendly. My food is 9/10 always perfect! Good quality, served efficiently. Occasionally they need to be reminded to fill the coffee, but they always do it very quickly, and with a smile. I eat here frequently, and they always remember their regulars. They are always very kind.
We ordered our food and got a nice seat location next to the fireplace. It made for a great ambience. I had the almond sesame chicken salad and it was terrific. Freshly made and just the right amount of dressing on it. And we shared a broccoli cheddar cheese bowl. Great experience and clean restrooms. Staff was excellent.
Busy lunch time. Food on point. Fast service. Great customer employee interaction. I watched the expediter never miss a beat while a customer continued to ask questions about why so many employees are here but not in her opinion enough at registers. And on and on while this one employee responded with never ending politeness. And continued to fill those orders. Group of superhero employees here.
Easy ordering. My food has always been tasty and correct. If you ever consider a salad it's a good deal, excellent portions and they don't skimp on the yummy additions. Fairly quick service. The staff now delivers your food to your table also. Tables are wide and roomy too, great for studying or group projects. Also has WiFi available.
Service is fast and courteous. Restaurant is clean and nice decor for a sandwich place
The service was quick and the food was nice and hot, on a cold, damp, winter's day. It all tasted delicious. I had a you pick two of autumn squash soup and a half of a chicken pesto ciabatta dipper. Yum!
Great service. The chicken is not good But the steak sandwiches are great with real meat. The salads are very cooling in the hot weather. Love the spinach tropical shake.
I Went to panera bread in Wilton Saratoga to meet a friend and catch up on life. There was plenty of parking, I loved the two entrances so no matter where I park it is easy to enter. The staff was very welcoming, they let us know we had credits for baked goods and delivery which was great. My friend got to bring a treat home. Their kitchen sink cookie is incredible. My favorite is their cinnamon crunch bagel with cream cheese and the price was so reasonable. A great meal for $10, you can not seem to get that anywhere these days. Convenient drive through option and is wheelchair accessible. The flow of traffic allows those who are waiting for food to move down, no lurking by the counter waiting for their food. Inside and outside seating options which is perfect for the change in weather. The portions for pick 2 gives you choices between their delicious soups (also seasonal) or sandwiches. Fresh baked bread and pastries they even donate left over/ day old bread which is something I can definitely get behind. I love sitting in a comfortable place with WiFi catching up with friends. A popular lunch time place that is located conveniently, it can get busy but the space between tables, booths and lounge chairs allows just enough space for privacy and to blend in if you're treating yourself. I would be happy to see some small plates to share but overall a great place for a quick bite. Oh and who doesn't love the green goddess salad. Dine there. Take out. Or delivery!
I got the pick 2. Brocolli cheddar soup and chicken frontega. I haven't been in awhile The sandwich was much better than I remembered.
Wasn't too hungry so got a ceasar salad. It was really good! It was the first time being inside and the set up was a bit confusing. I order via kiosk and didnt understand what the numbered locator was for if you just have to go up and get your food anyways. Didn't even know there was a pick up window at the other end. If I could make any changes I would put up signs or make the signs that are already there more noticeable. When I asked the staff about the locator she didnt say what they are actually for, only that we don't hand them in when we pick up. I loved the kiosk idea though!
Love the food here - Fast, easy, and delicious. Extra bonus points for the drive-through window. Tends to get busy at times, especially on weekends, but the service is generally pretty quick.
Line was slow..They put the online order tablets right in front of the line so it's crowded with people trying to cash out and people trying to order online...NOT GOOD creamer and suger were empty for the coffee..But food is great little clustered with the food line also. But good place over all
Food was great but the place was a bit dirty. Lots of crumbs on the floor, seats and tables and the men's room smelled like urine. There was someone cleaning though so maybe they were just getting to it and I came at a bad time.
Took me a long time to figure out what I like the Panera and their menu has changed some more towards my liking or flatbread sandwiches and pizzas the shelves are very good as well as the soups are excellent. The staff has always been friendly
Staff always seems happy to be at work, the ordering process is very simple & fast, bakery goods always incredibly fresh (definitely have a toffee chip cookie for dessert!), my only complaint is that it's not "cheap" it's affordable but with large groups the bill can add up quickly. Opt for the pick 2 & I recommend the iced green tea, it's absolutely AWESOME!
The food was bomb as usual. I love Panera. I was a little disappointed in the workers though. They were super unprofessional. Shouting goodbyes at each other over the counter as they left and carrying on conversations even though they were "helping" a customer. The food never fails, but unfortunately, at least at this particular Panera the employee's need a little customer service training.
Love their salads! Great ingredients, you can have it your way too! I would only order the whole portion as the 1/2 was not 1/2 as good as the whole. As always, great service and very clean
The counter lady taking our order while not unpleasant did NOT present a welcoming demeanor.. The scone and the toasted bagel definitely met expectations and were received timely... But Only ONE coffee dispenser was available?!?! There were several open slots for various coffees yet only the one for Dark Roast was in place AND we ate inside and no other dispensers were replaced during our visit.. so if you wanted decaf it simply was unavailable..
I was in a party of three and the restaurant was moderately packed. We used the computer kiosk to order our food. The food was completed in approximately 10 minutes and it was on several trays. When we brought back one of the trays we found that the salad had chicken added when the person ordered without. The restaurant promptly replaced the salad. No issues. The entire meal was very appetizing. Each item was very tasty and satisfying. I was even reminded that I had a refill for my unsweetened tea!. The afternoon was pleasant with great atmosphere and conversation.
Soup and sandwich were good, plenty of comfortable seats with clean tables. Half of the ordering kiosks were not working so the wait was a little longer than usual.
Honestly, I consider Panera Bread my go-to place for hangovers. Whenever I’ve had a rough morning after partying, their green smoothie heals me within the hour. Whenever I think “hungover,” I think Panera Bread. They have treats available, but I’m not a fan since they don’t taste fresh in my experience. My friend also had a sandwich there and came home the same day complaining about her stomach hurting. The atmosphere is nice, but it feels basically like a Starbucks for people between 40–80 years old. There were a lot of very mature guests there. The employees are nice, and usually they seem to be in their early twenties or early thirties.
I love panera but the price keeps going up and the quality of the food doesn't. It's cheaper to go to a diner.
I love Panera, but this visit was disappointing. Not busy at all. We had to wait over 30 mins, ask for our food twice and then my sandwich came w lettuce ONLY one it. I have never returned a meal in my life(other than a hair, or unclean)....but the sandwich had lettuce only....then I had to wait another 20 mins fir a replacement! Disappointed for sure.
Was not asked what I wanted for a side for my pick two. Everyone was given chips with soup and didn't realize till I was home with everyone's food 20 min away! Food was delicious just could improve customer service and actually ask what people want.
With only 2 people ahead of our order on the board and 3-4 people in the “kitchen,” it still took approx 20 minutes to get 2 salads and a you pick 2 soup and half sandwich. Salads were not bad but the sandwich (a Cuban) was cold but thankfully the soup was hot. Saw a gentleman that had an “online” order stand a wait for 25mins until his order was ready. Cashier “forgot” to hand out the coffee cup and never gave our party a buzzer. Seems like they haven’t mastered the art of having a drive through just yet.
Cheese and broccoli soup is the best. Staff very friendly. Only negative was that many of the tables needed wiping down and that didn't seem to get done during the 45 minutes we spent there. Perhaps understaffed.
Dissappointed..they forgot the parm on the salad , which I knew was different, but it didnt hit me until I was almost done eating it, and the lettuce appeared to be a mix of mostly iceberg when it should have been romaine on a ceasar salad. Panera has always been our goto because of consistency whether in several NY locations, or VT. Coffee machine was broken also so couldnt get my ice coffee..
I have never seen a Panera so dirty. Food on the floor, on most of the tables, under the tables. Dishware piled high at receptacles. What has happened? Employee retention issue?
Salad was nothing to talk about. The other food was good. Service could have been better. Order a salad took 15 minutes to for them to make it. Price not worth it, don't get a salad.
We like the food at Panera Bread and we get take out there often. HOWEVER, the major drawback is that never, ever, ever do they get the order correct. We could go there as an example, for four days in a row last week, order the same thing from the same people the same way and you never know what you're going to get. I've talked to other people while waiting who have experienced the same thing. You always have to take everything apart and check the bag and make sure that you got what you ordered and that the order is complete. What's worse is that they're discontinuing the handled bags which were so convenient for large orders. So many times the sandwiches were wrapped sloppy, there was no pickles, the bread was stale, the dessert was missing, they put in baguette instead of chips, you get a cup of soup instead of the bowl you ordered, they left out the dressing all together on the salad instead of adding the extra that we ordered and paid for, they neglected to leave out the tomatoes in the salads. This happens every single time. If you wait till you get home to see what you got your going to be sorry.
Today's visit was disappointing. As Extremely Busy ( & short staffed too I'm sure ) it took 35-40 mins. For soup & 1/2 a sandwich. Then the Young lady Cleaning cleaning Tables/Chairs .. the Same Wet Cloth/Towelettes 1 Swipe on 4 Different Tables 🤷♂️ & No cleansing of the Chairs?? The debris on the floor(s)🤷♂️ it was Busy Yes, but wow not what I would anticipate. Sorry folks
Tried to place an online order but app wouldnt save past pick up instructions. I then ordered online from desktop computer. My order was ready but bagels were not sliced as instructed and they got the order wrong. So had to go inside to get it corrected. They are busy but they could have more attention to detail.
I love the food. Rather than try new sandwiches I constantly get the chicken frontega panini. I have however tried other things but always go back I do like the salads because their ingredients are always fresh and everything that you get at Panera is made to order. Only three stars... Because sandwiches are now made sloppier than they used to be, and it's too expensive. You can spend anywhere from 12 to $15 for yourself on lunch alone. I can have a better dining experience with a waitress in an atmosphere less chaotic for the same price.
Panera Bread offers tasty food, but the prices are a bit high for what you get. I recently ordered the Tomato Soup and Green Caprese Melt. The soup was rich and flavorful, and the sandwich was delicious, featuring fresh ingredients and a delightful blend of flavors. The cozy atmosphere and friendly service added to the experience. However, the overall cost seemed a bit steep for a casual meal. While I enjoyed the taste and quality of the food, the value for money left something to be desired. It's a good option if you're willing to pay a premium for a quick meal, but for budget-conscious diners, it might not be the best choice.
Broccoli cheddar soup is really good. Hate that they keep changing their menu. They don't have my favorite sandwich anymore which is sierra turkey. Sooo good really miss it and where is the chocolate duo cookie?. Rarely go here anymore as my favorites no longer exist and why do they think it's ok not to decore the pineapple in their strawberry poppyseed salad? Also lettuce cores. I guess it fills the salad bowl
I generally enjoy Panera's food, but they have a tenuous relationship with bacon. It is often undercooked and rubbery. So, I now request "crispy, well done" bacon, and it is still often undercooked and rubbery, such as it was this morning. It annoys me that simple, reasonable requests are ignored, and that I have to throw away part of a sandwich I paid extra for.
This is the large Mac and Cheese we got for takeout. Half full... Out of white bread "but the farmhouse bread is like sourdough"... No, much more like whole wheat. Got shorted a bag of chips and an apple. ANF it took 15 minutes for the two turkey sandwiches and the less than large Mac and cheese to go. Glad we reminded them of the muffin we ordered!
Kiosks are always down which makes getting a simple cup of coffee from the unlimited coffee club annoying. You then have to resort getting on line, which at times can be long, and bother a hard working short staff just to get an empty cup.
Friendly staff and the service was good. Very good coffee. We ordered Steak sandwiches. When we received our sandwiches they looked great (the bread) but with no mayo on the side as we requested. When we did get our mayonnaise we opened our sandwiches only to wonder Where’s the Beef?!!!
Even though good clean food. The value is not there. This is the third time I visited this location tables were dirty dishes stacked I took me and 3 kids and was almost $50 with only 2 milks as drinks. The portions get smaller and smaller as the prices increase. I think we all are paying for those people who sit there all day on their computer drinking refills of coffee. For the price / service spent I could ve gone to a restaurant. Besides the tables would have been wiped the floor would have been swept and dirty dishes taken to the back. It is what it is!
So...we eat here every now and then. I always order the same salad, no onion and no bacon. Yet, every time I have to bring it back to the counter because it has one or the other or both. It seems to me it would be easier to make something with two less ingredients. The quality and attentiveness of the staff has definitely declined.
This place changed from when I last visited in August. It was nice and comfortable before. Now it's whiter, brighter, and feels very antiseptic, like I'm in a hospital. And the big news of the day, they changed the brownies. They no longer have the layer of chocolate fudge frosting on it, now it's dusted with powdered sugar on half of it. The lady at the counter tried to tell me that they changed it, she's not sure why, but that they're really moist and chewy. They were moist and chewy before!!! So, Panera is just cutting costs and cutting customers in the process. They aren't the only game in town. The coffee used to be better too. Dark roast no longer has any taste. Should have gone to McDonald's, at least it's cheaper.
Good food but it's tempered by several factors. First, it's overpriced, especially considering their fast food order-at-the-counter business model. Their 'Pick 2' combos are super confusing if you've never been to a Panera before. And lastly, they must be doing something right because they're often packed but I've turned around and walked out before (and have seen others do the same) because the line will be to the door and customers are crammed in like sardines. Even when I stay and eat I usually can't wait to get out of there because it's so noisy and congested. Have ordered food and then can't find an empty table to sit at. (Fire marshal?)
Foods looks great and place is clean but that does not matter if my order is not right. If I come back again and my order is done right I may leave a better review.
Food was good but I have to say it was a sad visit. There was no one at the register which forced us to use the self serve register. 2 were out of order. We placed our order only to the point we couldn't use our card because the swipe wouldn't work. We had to wait until someone came to the counter and then replace our order. They seemed short staffed. Hoping this isn't the norm now, Panera is one of our favs.
Almost every time i come here the lemonade is spoiled or oddly carbonated, doesn't matter what flavor i get... i feel like they are not making the lemonade fresh or they aren't making it right... it does not taste like this at any other location nor is it ever carbonated however the sandwiches and bread are very good
When did a “you pick 2” become $18 with a drink and chips instead of bread? The cashier was not friendly to say the least. The food took too long and barely any chicken on my sandwich. I used to love Panera but this experience has changed my mind. Not to mention the food did not sit right in my stomach and did not stay long there unfortunately.
Super slow drive thru times even when the there is no line. Not the place if you are on a tighter schedule
Food was not hot or very good. I understand it was the lunch rush and busy but literally all of the open Tables were dirty. I had to wet napkins and clean a table myself. Children were running around unsupervised. Would not return.
My soup was colored water. It was supposed to be corn chowder. My buzzer never went off so when I finally went up to see where my food was it had been sitting on the counter and was cold. Dirty dishes piled high on the area you were supposed to empty them. Dirty tables. This isn’t the first time any of this has happened at this location.
The food is mid , prices high and this location is run down , ripped seats , stained floors , dirty glass windows .
I have lived in Saratoga since July, 2020 and whether it’s in-house, drive-thru, or delivery, this location gets it wrong every. Single. Time. I wish I was exaggerating. It’s absolutely unbelievable. We keep trying over and over again to give them another chance but this location just cannot get it right, EVER, and after so many missteps, I felt like it was finally time to speak out, after 5 years. I’m sure it won’t change anything but just…really!?! Five years…and then some probably?! Who is managing this place?
We have loved Panera up until about a month ago. We would usually get a salad, in particular the Mediterranean Chicken greens and grains and the Asian Sesame, however the last two times we have ordered either, they have become almost 1/2 the size they used to be and are missing some ingredients….like our order two nights ago when the Mediterranean salad had no hummus and skimped on the extra chicken and extra grains, both of which I paid for. It’s so disappointing. The sandwiches are still great but the salads aren’t worth the $13-18 we paid for them. We will not be ordering them again.
I am a long time Panera customer. I am a member of their sip club. We love their food, but this Panera bread is the worst managed that I've ever seen. I just went in and this is typical, most of the kiosks are not operational, only one person waiting on people at the counter with a line, and most of the coffees were all gone. If this was once it would be one thing but this is typical.
We just had coffee and bagels, been here many times, but not lately. Shocked by the lackadaisical way the stuff worked, had to repeat ourselves to order several times, 2 bagels, coffee, standing 4 feet away from spaced out cashier, then waited a long time till the bagels where thrown on the counter, not a single word was uttered by any employee, not hello, food ready etc, we then sat in a booth, almost all benches are ripped, floor filthy, tables same… Saturday am at 10:30, sparsely occupied, Not sure what happened here, staffing issues? Pay them… Need a serious overhaul, or maybe a visit from a District manager now and then. Do better.
went to get rapid pick up dinner, and my pizza came with barely any cheese. the cheese that is there is all in one spot. i called the store with hopes of getting a new pizza, but i was simply offered a refund with nothing further. so now i have to either choke it down, or throw it away and waste an entire pizza.
I went to Panera for lunch went to the bathroom first and it was disgusting. (I was shocked.) Then i went to order and the computers to order were all messing up and they had one cashier on taking orders with a line. My French onion soup was good but the Caprese sandwich was horrible and I took it back to the window where the food comes out. I put it down on the counter in front of the many of the workers in the kitchen. (But only one cashier with a line) I said the sandwich doesn't taste good, I took one bite out of it and it was nasty. He said to me " It was made the way it always is". Yes because he knows what my food taste like. He doesn't and it was rude. So I'm sure my face expressed dissatisfaction. So his response to my facial expression was do you want something else. Which pissed me off. Why would you say its made the same way at that point i was upset at how staff responded to my complaint and how the sandwich tasted and how I felt was totally dismissed. So I said no and walked away. I sat out in the dinning area for a while, while my friends ate their food and not once did anyone come out like a mangaer. I'm pissed and will never come back. The food isnt cheap and the whole experience was horrible. The bathroom, ordering, the food (except the soup) the people in the kitchen or at least that one person. I'm never coming back. You just lost a customer over a sandwich because apparently the kitchen staff knows how your food taste plus everything else you need to fix and learn how to treat customers.
Service was unbelievably slow..we waited in line, about five people back, for fifteen minutes. After ordering, we waited over twenty minutes for a cup of soup and a small Greek salad. I won't be going back any time in the near future, if at all.
By far, the worst Panera I've been to. I have been in Panera's all down the East coast, and this was the first where they asked "what size coffee"? You can still refill them, so why pay for a large? It didn't help the fact that the person helping me was...... really unfriendly. I ordered a bagel, toasted. It was, quite literally, burnt to a crisp. I do like Panera, and will continue going to them. Just not this one!
This Panera in Wilton leaves much to be desired, & that’s putting it mildly ‼️The Staff just can’t think on their feet! I ve come here and paid dearly for a meal that requires some type of Bread, (baguette) which they always have run out of??? Isn’t the Name “Panera ‘s BREAD? Ironically, there’s bread for sandwiches, that I was refused , because they didn’t have any to go with my Soup! The bread for sandwiches which I requested as a substitute was denied ‼️It’s due to Inadequate Staff that cannot think for themselves ‼️👎👎👎
Dirty and gross!! The women’s bathroom was super dirty and had mold and rush everywhere. For us being in the middle of a COVID pandemic I feel like they could have done better. I’ll probably test positive for COVID after using that bathroom. My food came out for me and my friend we both order a Napa sandwich , there were no almonds on it and also there was Avocado all over our plates. Just to note none of the sandwiches contain avocado. Presentation was terrible we had to put out sandwiches back together. What a waste of $8 per a half sandwich.
The place looks nice and is clean but sadly the speed of service and method of food distribution is bad. Firstly the self order machines seem to frequently not work or the credit card machine is broken. Secondly the pagers to tell you your order is ready are not labled so you seem to grab one at random. Thirdly the service is painfully slow especially in the the drive thru which also has a probelm with order accuracy wh8ch is a nightmare if you leave and do not check your order. Lastly the availability of the delicious fresh baked breads is appaling. I have been in a number of times looking for loaves only to find a sparse bread case with one or two options. This is very dissapointing as they were some of the best things offered. Overall I feel that Panera Bread has significantly decreased in quality of food and service and have lost my business in the future.
Over priced, long wait. Went thru drive thru to get a bear claw and it was dry, stale, frosting drizzle and almonds off. After one bite threw it out. Instead of buying their broccoli cheddar soup you can buy Bear Creek Soup in a package and make your own for half the price of what they charge you for a measly cup and have a big pan full. Taste the same as what they serve.
Laughably rude sandwich maker. Ordered a bunch of food to go for 5 people. (Sunday July 14th at around 7:45 PM.) Before leaving we discreetly checked the the bag because two sandwiches were missing from our order at a Panera in Albany a couple days before. This time, a half sandwich and two bags of chips were missing. The missing items were on the receipt, so we went back and the person helping us told the sandwich maker what was missing. The sandwich maker snatched the receipt and snapped at my daughter, “I MADE this.” My daughter politely pointed out that the source of confusion may be that one of us had ordered a whole of the same sandwich; the sandwich maker just glared at us. She took over 10 minutes to make the half sandwich and then slammed it on the counter and stormed off. When we looked in the bag it contained the sandwich and only one bag of chips. Unbelievable. We informed the person who had been helping us, who in turn told the sandwich woman. Visibly irate, retrieved a bag of chips and literally—no exaggeration here—THREW them at us! All I could do was laugh, it was so ridiculous. (The nice people at the Albany Panera had simply forgotten to put the missing sandwiches in the bag; so there was no wait, no food throwing, no bad behavior—in fact, they gave us a complementary bag of cookies to compensate for the inconvenience.) The food from this one in Saratoga was fine, but such toxic behavior toward customers and other staff leaves a bad taste in the mouth and is frankly worthy of immediate termination.
Extremely rude staff. We were abruptly welcomed to the restaurant on Christmas Eve by a staff member who snarkily shouted “Just so you know before you guys order, we close in 10 minutes!” I get it, it’s not cool to have people order food last minute, but we had no idea what the hours were! Sadly this employee’s rude behavior turned away paying customers.
Dirty, slow, and sick I stoppedby on a Friday night and there was no one at the register so I proceeded to order on a kiosk. I went to wait for my food and noticed there were only two people in front of me and one person was getting their order. Meanwhile a few more people walk in and order and sit down. After 10 minutes we notice a lot of food coming out, but none of them were to go orders. Fifteen minutes pass and me and the guy before me are still waiting for our food. Literally 20 min later (placed order at 6:46 and it was 7:05) I finally ask when my food will be ready and the runner asks the guy behind the counter and he says there was a mistake but they should be out soon. You think they could have mentioned something? Offered an apology? No, told us it would be out soon. My salad was disappointing, but I chose it so I can't complain. What I can complain about is the food poisoning I got 2 hours later. This restaurant was dirty, slow, and I would not recommend it (except to maybe my worst enemy)
Our order couldn't be found.....again......and rather than try to help, the on-duty manager blamed us. We must have ordered at the wrong store - not true. We must have ordered under the wrong name - not true. We didnt actually place the order - not true. Thank you for the superb customer service! Finally got the order only to find a hair in one if the salads. Had diarrhea the next morning, again! Another awful experience- never again. Panera Saratoga Springs
First, the coffee subscription is too overpriced cancelled that. Second today i go there through the drive through (hence driving while eating) and they can’t spread cream cheese on a bagel because it’s a “safety hazard”? What does that mean? Don’t they make sandwiches also? Done with business here now!
Been going to this location for about 8 years recently visited and the quality has gone down for the price of what we paid. Soup was watery bread was cold and we ordered two tomato soups but only received one. Won’t be going to this location again, think we’ll stick with the Malta location!
There was hardly any tuna on my sandwich, less than a tablespoon. The sandwich and a self serve fountain drink is over $15. I left hungry and it upset my stomach. The place is a complete rip off, and has gone downhill severely. There were hardly any people in there at dinner time, which is telling.
They should probably worry about not hiring 15 and 16-year-olds that have no clue what the hell they're doing and hire Management that do there JOBS! This is about the seventh time that I've ordered in the last two years and every time I do, they messed up my order! Absolutely ridiculous and unacceptable!!!!
This was without a doubt the worst fast food I have ever had in my life. Not only did the Mac and cheese taste like dish water the Buffalo chicken melt tasted only of onion very intense onion. But don't worry they gave me 1 of my 2 sodas I asked for
Quality of food sucks here. Craftsmanship of the sandwiches is poor and always food from other peoples orders on the outside of the takeout containers. I can only image what the inside of the kitchen where everything is prepared looks like. Garbage
Out of the 20 + places to eat on rt 50 (exit 15) we chose Panera. We walked in,not busy and waited almost 10 minutes at the counter . Easily 5-6 employees walked past us while waited to place our order. I finally asked if someone was going to take our order and the girl just looked at us with a blank stare and continued walking past..not even an acknowledgement of the customer. Obviously there is no emphasis on the value of their customers, but like I said there are plenty of other choices that do. NEVER AGAIN
We turned around and walked out. Two of the four ordering stations were down and the line for the one human cashier was long. We also walked out back in June when they told us the wait would be 55 minutes. Sorry we are done there.
The restaurant is poorly maintained. The employees act like they absolutely hate working there. The drink area is dirty the supplies are not refilled. When you get hot coffee it’s slightly warm. The exterior of the building is poorly maintained as well.
Everytime I come to Panera the wait is ridiculously long no exaggeration ! No one communicated anything about the wait we just sat and sat and sat ! Very poor customer service. Hire more workers.
I ordered a drink for pick up. When I got there my cup wasn’t on the counter so I had to go up and give them my name so I could get my order, which is fine with me. But when I was handed the cup the guy who was doing QC on 7-17-25 @ 13:00 did not change his dirty gloves, he proceeded to grab the cup with two fingers and he got food residue inside the cup. That was gross, I had to ask for a new cup and I hope they start changing their gloves when they’re visibly dirty.
