I was pleasantly surprised. My order was hot fresh and very crispy. Both the fish and shrimp were delicious for LJS. The crab cake was made fresh but I didn't really care for the inside texture which is more of a recipe issue than restaurant cause. Very polite counter staff even though dine in was closed due to COVID-19.

I've only seen this in few places. A Manager training her whole staff at once. Orders were to a slow, but the Most part of this Amazing Experience is the Focus she had to deliver the best Customer Service. I Didn't catch this Lady's Name. But She was above and beyond what a Manager is. Thank you GM
I really enjoy talking with T--she's bubbly and a lot of fun! The food was really fresh and we enjoyed it! Update Well, this time, we decided to order online, and have our food delivered through Uber Eats. When we got our food, the concern was: 'Is this fish or chicken?' And we love chicken planks, not fish! When we got our food, it tasted like it was FISH instead of CHICKEN! Good grief-what's with that? Please put the right thing in-I don't want fish because we don't like it! We miss 'T', the young lady who used to work there...she was great.

Food is always good but this is for Raylyn. This guy was awesome. Brought the food out to everyone to their seats, was in the back cookin, taken orders, and cleaning. He was a one man show! This kind of hard work needs to be promoted. Thanks Raylyn!!!!
Keith, Dana and the rest of the crew there are awesome! We had been on the road for 10 hours that day, and stopped for some hot food before we went on. They worked hard to take care of us and sent us on with everything we needed. One of the best, caring crews we have seen in a while, far different from most places. Good job! Thanks for a pleasant and helpful stop on our journey.
Super friendly people at the drive thru. Better than I remember from several years ago. They were doing some improvements to the exterior, Nd the inside looked nice, from what I could see. The fish was not greasy, and the sandwich was super tasty. And they still have fried Okra!

I like Long John Silver's fish, yesterday I had the 2 PC fish meal and it was good to perfection. The fish was crunchy and fried, the fries were made to perfection, and the hush puppies were battered well. The drink was good too. Long John Silver's, you deserve an A+ and 5 stars. Good fish and good job making it.
Dining at this long standing restaurant(name) for the first time in many years was pure joy. Kinda a "flashback" to earlier times. A friend and I decided to have lunch here after a morning appointment. Boy, we were not disappointed. The two piece "fish and chip" meal that we both selected, was hot, fresh and had a great flavor. The restaurant also offer additional sides, other than fries, such as coleslaw, etc. And the hush puppies were as good as I remembered. The price point was very good! Customer service was also good. I do recommend dining here...it's a good choice.

The manager was really personable and even though the card reader was down and us one of the last customers, they were more than happy to fresh cook us dinner. First time in awhile going to long johns but I’ll need to make it by there more often with service and food so good.

I moved to Denton 2and half years ago and I tried this Long John Silver about a year ago and when I tell you the food was trash it was. Tonight I ordered food at this location, and it absolutely amazing, my understanding was uplifted and I know that they have new staff and management. If you are a Long John Silver fan I highly recommend this location.

Honestly there was a little wait maybe 6 mins but worth it. The food was fresh and they even hooked up my meal with extras. That’s truly going above and beyond for customer service. Will definitely come back to this location.
I enjoy this location because of the clean environment. Excellent customer service and high quality of sea food it provides. I ordered the Alaskan White Fish and Butterfly Shrimp Platter. I added a side order of Crab cakes and the drink was a Root beer. This meal was exceptional for lunch. The location wasn't very busy and the wait wasn't long for the meal to be delivered to the table since we ate inside. I recommend this restaurant with 4 stars as a great " Fast Food" option that provides all the perks of a regular dining experience. * This location is applicable for Delivery with Uber Eats *
Was greeted immediately upon entering...... food took a little longer than expected but was told that by staff. Did was prepared and was good, fresh and hot!!!! The experience was good, but the only thing that I have sort of negative was that the serving portions were very small!!!!!! Would I go there again..... absolutely!!!!
Staff is super friendly and the food was fresh and Hot! Really enjoyed my lunch. I would have given 5 stars but the floor is super slick and I almost fell... (Need to have a company come in to degreese the floor and throw away all your mop heads and have separate mops for dinning and kitchen) Big law suit waiting to happen!
I enjoy the food but am disappointed in the portion size for the cost. $12.75 for 2 smallish pieces of battered fish, green beans, a tiny coleslaw, two hush puppies, and a small soda with a senior discount on the meal only not the $2.79 drink is less than I expected.
Using the drive through, I ordered a meal with 2 orders of clams. She was a little aggressive in telling me I couldn't do that. I was taken aback. When I asked for clarification, she stated that clams can't be substitutions. This was fine. I cleared up the misunderstanding caused by my not using the company specific lingo. I explained I wanted the meal PLUS 2 "add-on" clams. We were both happy. She got the specific wording & I got what I was ordering. Tasted great. Always greasy no matter the location but we all except this because it tastes so good. I just treat it as a splurge meal.
The person that took my order was very rude immature talking to other people while she was trying to talk to me. She almost messed my order up until I corrected her. She was more worried about talking to the other people that she was taking care of the customer I didn’t go inside. I went through the drive-through. The food was excellent. I do not like the new waffle prize that they have now I think they’re disgusting and they need to be bring back the regular french fries other than that. It was all good.
LJS is my guilty pleasure. It is fast food and the service to reflects that, the food has always been consistent here. No real complaints
Food was served fresh and hot. Fish, hushpuppies, fries and crumbs all served hot. Most excellent! However, I didn't see any iced tea at the drink station, nor any self serve catsup. I was given catsup packets, but the catsup was French's brand. Nothing compares to Heinz catsup. Overall it was a good meal and experience.
I always have a love hate relationship with Long John Silvers. The breading they use for their food is soooo good. Unfortunately, the service is typically sub-par at best. This Long John's had a friendly cashier, but it took a bit before we were serviced. My biggest gripe with Long John Silvers is how gross it is overall. This particular location had napkins all over the ground, everything was greasy, and the restrooms needed servicing. The staff was working on cleaning, so I will give them credit for that. Overall, it's just another experience at Long John Silvers and I continue to get the same experience every time at every location.
LJS just isn't as good as it used to be and it's a whole lot more expensive. We spent over $30 for 2 of us and didn't really order anything extra. I ordered fries for one of my sides and got TWELVE fries. Don't think we'll be going back any time soon. And the condiment bar really needed cleaning.
Understaffed. I had placed a mobile order. When I arrived at drive through they said that two people walked out and they only had two workers left. They were requesting everyone enter the lobby so they could manage customers from one point of contact. Even though I had ordered 15 minutes ago, once I entered the lobby, she said she had not started on my order. They were sure trying but with only two people they were not set up for success.
Food was about to be expected to be honest, in terms of service they need somone new working the front counter. The lady had a real spicy additude towards just doing what she gets paid to do in the first place. They also were playing rap music at maximum volume, kind of hard to hear your own thoughts in there.

I've liked LJS for years, but unfortunately, their prices have increased to the point that it's getting too expensive for lunch. The food was just okay, and the service was okay. Unfortunately, their exterior maintenance has disappeared. Landscaping was non-existent and was in need of repairs. It's not a good look for a nationally recognized fast food chain.
Service when you go in to order can be a little slow, but eventually, you get out an order.The employees try to get orders out as quickly as possible. With phone orders and drive-thru orders, they do pretty good.
It's okay but I think food was too greasy, it's a hit and miss sometimes depending on what employees are working
The guy working was great. He was on top of it all, but the actual food was horrible. It's not the workers' fault, but the quality of the food has gone so downhill. I can't say that was really chicken. Could not eat it. Fries and hushpuppies were fine, but the meat was absolutely gross.
You place your order and it takes more than 30 minutes, the employees are not friendly, and the place is dirty.
Walked in and the guy taking our order greeted us from a sitting position at one of the booths then slowly walked up and asked us what we wanted as though we were bothering him and he was annoyed. The place was dirty from one end to the other and no napkins in either of the napkin dispensers.
Given another customer's meal. I was told to keep it. I ordered an extra 6 piece hushpuppies and they weren't in my order. I went back to the counter and they gave them to me. I went to eat them and they were greasy and hard as a rock. Gross. He tried to give me just 6 but to 2 that came with the meal were the same way! I will tell corporate. This location has been good in the past.
I was craving LJS chicken. Drove to the nearest location which was 20 minutes away in Denton. The service was very friendly. Employees first or second day but a really nice guy. The issue was the food. The chicken was so tough and chewy I threw most of it away. I’ve been eating at LJS for over 40 years and have never been served such literal garbage. Something is wrong with the chicken or the way they cooked it. If I didn’t know better I would think it was microwaved. That was the consistently. Overall a huge disappointment.
If you want "fast" food, this is not the place to go. The last four times I've visited here in 2025 (about once every 6 weeks), it's taken about 15-20 minutes. And don't go through the drive-through it's a waste of time as they will direct you to the pick-up parking out front, and then you wait your 15-20 minutes. I now just walk in and order from the counter. The food is consistently very good, so there are no complaints there. My last visit here was at 4:30 pm on a Sunday. I walked in (no customers inside, no customers at the drive-through), and I counted 4 employees in the kitchen. I stand at the counter for about 10 seconds, and then an employee from the drive-thru window calls out to me, "we will be right with you." The girl who finally took my order was very busy lining up little cups to eventually put condiments in. I place my order, and 15 minutes later, it is presented to me at the counter. If you come here this is the culture and experience that they are consistent with, so be prepared.
edit: went back a second time and the drink machine is still disgusting. dusty, oily, filthy…drinks taste old and musty. wooden booths are gross. the food is still great! just don’t get a drink here 🤮 the service was great and attentive and the food was even better. you can get a TON of food for very little money. we definitely will be returning! the only issue I had, and why I gave it 4 stars, was the cleanliness. Especially the soda machine which was dusty and generally looked kinda gross lmao. it's not a big deal for me but I can see why it would be for other people.
It was ok the floors are so freaking slippery. I was terrified of ending up doing the splits. I was so afraid for an elderly couple that came in however the food was hot and good. Pls. for the love of God stop using the kitchen mop on the dining room floor. A customer could fall and seriously hurt themselves. The floors are getting better I was not as afraid to walk this visit.
Those old fast food places just aren't what they once were. We got soggy fish and chicken, and the waffle fries were like rubber.
All of the chicken that went with my order didn't make it into the box. Some of the chicken that did make it was so rubbery that it couldn't be eaten and one of the pieces of fish tasted like it had been allowed to sit out and then refried. The only reason it got two states is because the fries and the hush puppies were really good. I won't be returning to this location. $30 is to much for a meal where half of it goes into the trash.
LJS used to be a great place. The good was average greasy frozen food. Fries were old and undercooked, and fish was a greasy mush. But the worst part was the staff. They obviously don't care for their jobs in any fashion, and I have a feeling it starts with management. Invest in your team, and it'll show!

Food was good BUT, the young man behind the counter was working with his pants so low you could see his rear end through his white underwear. The bathroom was disgusting. They were out of so many things. The restaurant was very dirty overall. So disappointing because I love LJS!
Foods good but they don't staff enough people. Only two ladies were on duty to cover kitchen, dining room, and drive thru. They were very apologetic and were getting food out as fast as they could. Still ended up having to wait 40 mins. TLDR: management needs to do better about staffing.
The food was ok and has been the same for 20+ years. This location had the slowest service I have ever experienced at a "fast food" place. I started at the drive threw and decided to go inside after almost 5 minutes of sitting behind one car. I went inside and ordered on the touch pad on the counter. I came close to leaving even though I had already paid after well over 20 minutes of waiting on my order. At least the guy apologized for the long wait. Poor guy looked like the only one doing anything out of the four people behind the counter.

Food was pretty good. Had the chicken as I dont eat fish. (I came with friends who do eat fish) my friends got their food within 10 minutes. I and my son waited over 30 minutes before we got ours. My friends and I ordered at the same time.
Kiosk-only ordering while I was there today. Fries were cold and inedible, and customer service was non-existent. I have no reason to go back. Chicken Express has decent catfish, and has a pleasant human taking orders.
This location is disgusting. The workers were doing more talking then working. Also eating right in our faces which is not professional at all!!!!! It was only like 7 fries that came with our meal and the cook claimed she couldn’t give us more but that just doesn’t seem accurate. It’s ridiculous. The food was not fresh at all. Will not come back here at all. Very disappointed and on top of that there were flies everywhere!!!! Hopefully they weren’t on the food!!! This location needs to be checked out by the health inspector!!!! Spending 22 bucks on meals and they can’t even cook our food fresh!! Not good at all!
Went through the drive thru, and the employee eventually came on saying not to yell, despite us trying several times to, at proper volume, get their attention. They then told us to pull around to the front. When my brother went inside, the only other person working, yes, only two, was rather rude. The store was dirty and the bathrooms were disgusting.
Terrible food. Fish was over cooked. Fish was dried out from being cooked too long. Batter was so hard you couldn't bite into it . Poor quality food fries were overcooked . Fish tasted old. Fish was very thin pieces. Was barely warm. Whole dinner was a disaster. Don't waste your money on this place. When we used to eat there it was good but not now.
There to pick up online ordered, noticed dust everywhere in the kitchen. Then hearing them talk in the kitchen, they kept on putting my order off to the side and I’m going for the people in the drive-through finishing them first no point to order online. Dude from them keep in mind there’s probably dust in it and this is as they were bragging about passing health inspection.
I don’t usual leave reviews, I had a horrible experience! I haven’t had Long Johns Silver in years, I was so excited to learn of this location that wasn’t to far from me but still had to drive 20 mins to get there, it was night and the lights were off so I couldn’t barely read the menu, and the first thing they say to me is there will be a 10 minute wait if you order fish, we’ll of course I’m going to get fish it’s a mostly fish restaurant and then they say do you still want to order? We said yes that was fine, then we ordered a family meal of fish and chicken , they say oh it will be 15 to 20 minutes and there’s no corn , no rice, we say ok so hush puppies and fries, then they say no hush puppies, like if they just didn’t want us to order, very very disappointed and sad with this service, it was 830pm they didn’t close to 10 pm. Never Again Sadly!
The service here is terrible, not busy at all 4 people in the back they lost my order.and when I said something about it the young kid said . SIR IM ONLY ONE PERSON..two cars went thru the drive thru the whole time I was waiting to place my order....eat CHICK-FIL-A instead of tacos or anywhere but here......and the floor is greasy watch you step...THATS A LAWSUIT WAITING TO HAPPEN..... EVERYONE HERE SHOULD BE FIRED and start over with employees that actually want to be there and work
My first time ever being to a Long John Silvers. It took 45min to get a couple chicken tenders and some french fries and they still messed my order up..
Always fast! The loss of a star is due to the fish being overly greasy (maybe from reheating) and leaving lateral lines in the fillets. These little black lines I find more frequently here and they have an intense iodine taste that kills the fish!!! Remove them. Service is always friendly and helpful. Edit: I have since stopped coming here at all. One trip the fish was tough, over cooked and barely edible. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and tried again a week later. I could not eat the fish. The flesh was CRUNCHY on all 3 pieces. I would have returned to the store but I only drive past here on work days. I threw it in the trash!!! Until this store has closer oversight from management and tighter control of cooking processes I recommend AVOIDING this restaurant completely!!! 3 consecutive trips with poor food quality = not an isolated incident. Management: please fix!!! There are not enough LJS stores left.
I had a very bad experience recently on Friday, July 15 between 7:09pm (the time my order was supposed to be ready) and 8:00pm, the estimated time I actually left out with my order. It was horrible. After spending over $50 for a family meal and $10/15 piece shrimp! There were only four people working, the manager, Alexis was rude and disrespectful. They were playing and being extremely passive aggressive. I've been eating at LJS since i was a kid, this made me never want to go back and to tell everyone I know and for them to tell who they know to never ever visit this location. After waiting over 30 mins, I requested a refund, the manager told me she couldn't give me a refund because I paid online. I arrive to pick up my order which was 7:09 and I didn't leave until almost 8:00. She threw my cocktail sauce in the bag as well after they forgot to give it to me! I asked for her name and her general manager's name, she replied his name is Jay, Jeremiah, but she calls him Jay. She was not able to give me a full name or contact information. I recorded my experience to send to the better business bureau (bbb) as well. After this experience, go ahead and close all of them down, definitely get why so many are gone now. This was a hot, ghetto mess with people who obviously barely obtained their high school diplomas. I'm sure I am not the only customer that has had this experience, it was pretty sad. My personal advice: bypass this location all together, it sucks and is the biggest mess I've ever seen.
Me and the wife like Long John's so we decided to go. When we pulled up in the drive thru, the menu is coming down. We still ordered, we'll when we got home and looked at our food the chicken was a breaded balled up mess that when you took a bit it was chewy, they changed the fries to waffle fries. Needless to say they have lost our business
Unfortunately, I went here before reading the reviews. I asked for fresh chicken and got hot dried out chicken. It seems they just refried old strips. The drink station was filthy, and it was old accumulated filth. That area hadn't been cleaned properly in a long time. It made me wonder what the kitchen looked like. I won't be back.
If I could give half a star or a quarter of a star, for some of these I would. The restaurant was horribly kept very dirty and much to be desired almost slipped on the greasy floor. Had we realize this and not been so tired before we ordered we would not have. My husband ordered the shrimp and rice and could not even take a second bite. It smelled spoil and tasted very fishy. He did not complain because the staff did not seem welcoming. Mine and my son‘s food look like it had been dipped three times in the old grease.
If I could give yall a 0 I would give yall two of them! 1.Food extremely Cold 2. Fries Half Done 3. Gave me all the sauces I didn’t ask for and the ones I wanted they didn’t put in the bag! The white lady with the gold tooth is rude and lacks customer service. She wears slides behind the counter. It just feel like trailer trash when you walk in there from the cook to the cashier

I was out running errands after work and was in the mood for ljs. I was disappointed in the service. I went through the drive thru and order the 1 fish, 2 chicken meal with corn and coleslaw, Pepsi, and order of crumbles. I paid at the window. Luckily I remembered how much my order was because I was given the wrong receipt (someone else's order). I was asked to pull around front as they were making a new batch of chicken and fish. This was when I noticed I was given the wrong receipt. When the woman brought me my food I showed her the receipt and explained it was not mine also I looked at my order before she left and told her I was missing my drink and the crumbles. She came back out with my drink and the box of crumbles. She never gave me my actual receipt. I get home sit down and get ready to eat and there is no tartar sauce, no ketchup or utensils in my bag. Also, no hush puppies in my fish and chicken box. If I do come back it will sure not be anytime soon. Do better Ljs. I have been to other Ljs restaurants and this is the first time I have been considering not coming back.
Negative 5 Stars, I’ve never been to a place this dirty, I’m pretty sure there were dead roaches under the soda machine, caked up dirty under there as well. My shoes were sliding on the floor. The kitchen floor was dirty. I was warned to not go in the bathroom. When I came out of the Warhammer store , all of the employees were outside. I do not want the food, came back to my peoples apartments and tried to give the fish to a stray cat, she picked it up and drugged the fish a couple of steps and left it there. Really gross, how are they still open is what I want to know.
I could run this place by myself with one hand behind my back but two people could'nt handle five customers. One lady stated she had been waiting for 3 hours after receiving the wrong order twice in the drive thru. I walked in and heard one of the staff complaining "what do you want me to do run the drive thru and the front?" I would'nt eat here if they paid me!
First time trying LJS and it was terrible. I got 3 of the regular fried fish, and my wife got the grilled salmon meal. The salmon was dry. Rice was hard and severely undercooked. The fried fish was super salty. The hush puppies were okay, and the only redeeming piece of this meal. On top of it all, we had gotten a fish sandwich to share, but they forgot to give it to us. We didn't realize until we got home.
Would rate it a zero if i could.. So incredibly disappointed in this location. Cold food, THE SMALLEST PORTIONS EVER, and the manager whatever her name was doesn't know what customer service is. That or she hates her job, probably both. She needs to be replaced asap. I had to go back with my food and have everything remade. When I walked in the atmosphere in there is what I can describe as "slow and sad" 3 workers, all moving at a snails pace and no enthusiasm whatsoever. How are you going to keep this business going with employees like that and that awful customer service? Does anybody up there know what they're doing? Ridiculous and pathetic. Its an outrage. But what could I expect from a fast food "seafood" establishment.
Worst food ever. I’m so disappointed. My stomach still hurts. Floors are slick and waiting for an accident to happen. No toilet paper in the bathroom. Very greasy and halfway done. My sister and I should’ve just got a refund and left the food there.
I ordered the fish and shrimp platter with extra hush puppies for the sides. The hush puppies were very greasy and hard, they've been like this the last few times I ate there. The fish were really small pieces and they had a strange taste. The worst part was the shrimp! Every single one was so over cooked I couldn't eat them. I've never had such a horrible experience with this LJS. I just don't think I will go back after this. It's too expensive for the food to be this bad.
Absolutely the worst service possible. I asked for 3 piece fish dinner. Young man I think his name is Chris. Says we only have a 2 piece. So I look up and see a 3 piece meal 1 fish 2 chicken so I ask can you just make it all fish? He says no there’s a up charge. Now get this. The 2 piece is 9.89 and the 3 piece is 10.89. So I get the 2 piece and add 1 more fish and it’s 13.95 now how is this possible? I think the young man is not really into his job. Also last week I stopped by to grab lunch around 1pm and an older gentleman was standing outside he told me no one showed up to work so they were scrambling to get things ready. Seriously I’m guessing this will be my last stop for dinner. I honestly don’t see them staying in business much longer. I give them less than a year. Anyone want to bet me?
This is the fish i got. I didn't drive away and asked the lady if i could have one without a bite taken out of it. She said she cut it off from another and thats why its mangled (didn'tsay sorry). I asked if i could swap it for that other one. She said i would have to wait 10 mins while it cooked (where did the "other" one go?). Walked out and handed it to me... i said "thanks" but she walked away befoe i could get the words out. 0/10 service
Drive through really needs improvement it took 30min just to get to window another 10min just to get food
Wouldn't have minded the fact the app wasnt working properly but the staff was not trying to assist me
Waited at the speaker for 10 minutes and even asked, "are you there" twice with no response. I pulled up to the window to only be given an attitude because they were too busy, (with the entire party of 3 already sitting and eating). Told us to pull around to the front so they could make our order and I'm still sitting here waiting on our 2 meals, 25 minutes later. My husband has been inside trying to get our food for the past 10 minutes. The people who were inside eating have already left. Nobody is here. What is happening?!?!? Do not come to this location if you actually want food.
Fries were half cooked. The lady on the drive thru could here us because her coworkers were being too loud and goofing off. We had to drive around the building to the front to wait on the food... It was just 2 meals
They are very very SLOW!! I just went through the drive-thru and they told me to pull around while they fix my order. I’ve been waiting now for 20 minutes!!! This is RIDICULOUS!! I don’t have a large order at all. I’ll think twice before I come back here!! Previously on other visits here, they have always shorted my order when I go through the drive-thru! This is a horrible place to go to!
Ordered at the kiosk. 40 minutes and counting... Got harassed by some guy selling bread while waiting. Food was good though.
Stopped here for a quick lunch. I got a chicken kids meal. Everything was old and cold. I pulled back in and asked for fresh food. The guys were super nice and gave me another meal but it was cold too.
They brought me the complete wrong order and when I finally got my order the fries were cold and tasted like they were made 2 days ago.
Filthy store and understaffed. Takes forever (min 20 mins) in drive thru even when im only one. Never more than fry cook and one staff. They are filthy too. Crap on walls. Disgusting.
It’s 8:30 at night, no one is in the store but the workers are having everyone place there order then drive and park out front so that it appears no one is in their drive through line. I’ve been waiting for just one chicken and fish combo for around 30 minutes. Do not come here if you are ever in a rush.
I came here for the first time and got a fish and chicken platter (2 fish 3 chicken). however when got home and opened the box i had 1 fish and 2 chicken strips. disappointed to say the least because why would you short someone 1 of both when your prices are already so high? I went back to let them know and the guy upfront was willing to give me the extra pieces i was missing. however the lady in charge thought i was lying but i had my receipt to prove it. now my food is cold. however they did give me one piece of extra chicken which is a plus i guess?
Hadn’t eaten here in over 10 years decided to give it a shot and quickly realized why I hadn’t been back since 2015. Food was cold and undercooked and very greasy! The manager, Kris yelled at the employees the entire time I was in the store which was way too long for 30 mins for a fish basket come on now! “More fish more fries NOW, NOW”, every 3/4 minutes. I’m never eating this mess again!
