Very friendly staff, good happy hour beer prices and good food. We got garlic knots and everything pizza and enjoyed them both. The seating area is pretty small but it wasn't busy when we were there so we got a seat right away.

I love the thought behind this year’s birthday celebration with my hubby. I love all things “foodgasm” yes you heard that right. This year we went to Renee’s for an intimate dinner. Let me start with, everything was perfect from the minute we walked in. 💕 The hostess, Avril was our personal server as well, she was simply amazing!! Attentive, answered every question, pleasant, and joyful to be around. 💕 The food was exquisite! The appetizer we had (below) was the Oh, Honey Board. Let me just say, YOU HAVE TO TRY IT! I guarantee it will melt in your mouth! They use #locally sourced ingredients and everything is made fresh to order. The Zoodle Pasta Primavera was scrumptious and flavorful and the evening was perfectly ended with a decadent flourless #chocolate cake that was heaven in every bite. Dark, rich, creamy, and just perfect. If you haven’t figured it out by now, call Renee’s and make a reservation for an experience you won’t soon forget. Thank you Renee’s for a wonderful birthday 🥳

The penne pesto pasta is absolutely phenomenal!! I've only had it delivered, and when I request extra pesto, they don't even charge. I could eat this every week and be a very happy camper! Excellent food and service

I was very pleasantly surprised by this spot and all of the awesome vegan options they have. Staff was amazing and although I only got the tomato soup and focaccia, I would love to come back and try the vegan pesto pasta and pizza!

The food here is amazing. I had ravioli with spinach and it was fresh not frozen. The bread rocked my world. The seating is limited but they have a nice patio outside too. The whole place has a fun family vibe. I will definitely be returning.

I stopped by here on an overnight trip to Tucson. I had read about it on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. I was lucky they were able to seat me as it is a small, quaint establishment with many patrons despite it being a Sunday night. Renee the owner is amazing. She waited on me and was so kind and sweet and willing to talk to me about the food. I cook for fun and it was great to be a “food nerd” with her. The food was amazing. I had the lasagna as the quality of ingredients was evident. Highly recommend and if you can, make a reservation! Thanks Renee. It was wonderful meeting you tonight.

Renee's will always be a favorite of mine. They have such fantastic Gluten Free options. Definitely a place to go for date night. I also enjoy the remodel of the dining room, but make sure you make a reservation if you want to sit inside. They only have the patio available for open seating.

Wonderful, we did not have a reservation, but were able to be seated and served. The food did not dissapoint; salad, appetizer, lasagna and Alfredo. Left the dessert for our next trip down, such a great conversation with Renee. Hard working woman which we appreciate being from the midwest where we take work seriously.

The restaurant is very cozy and intimate. Recommend making reservations. The food is very tasty, home cooked. Lots of food. Great selection of beverages and wines. The staff are friendly and welcoming. It can get packed there quickly. Small outdoor patio section. Prices are reasonable. I highly reccommend.

What an absolute gem of a place! My cousin and I are in town for a wedding weekend and have never been to Tucson. We were looking for a nice place to eat that wasn't too far from the hotel that was reasonably priced. I think that this place had an amazing selection of food and choices for all diet types, specifically gluten free (even for an Italian place!) We got the apple, walnut, & goat cheese salad, the house made small batch hummus with bread, and the penne arrabbiata with the meatballs. we split each perfectly portioned course and it was truly lovely and super delicious. The salad was perfectly balanced and the ingredients were all super fresh and inviting. I loved the honey poppyseed dressing! I am a huge fan of classic hummus and this really hit the mark with a drizzle of olive oil and a large house made bread portion for dipping! (Make sure you save a bit to dip into your pasta sauce!) The Arrabbiata sauce had the perfect touch of spice and the meatballs were filling but not too much. We finished up with the flourless chocolate cake with house made cinnamon whipped cream alongside some freshly brewed decaf coffee from a local roaster. The cake was perfectly fudge-y and dense and the cinnamon whipped cream was also very well balanced All of the ingredients were fresh, organic, and locally sourced if applicable and in season, it seemed. I look forward to that specifically when dining out so this was a huge plus for us. Whitney, our server, was so delightful and informative about her favorite dishes and the most popular as well as the portion sizes that guided our decisions. She was attentive, polite, and even asked me if I wanted ice in my water which is not always common, but I appreciated the thoughtfulness. She even brewed us a fresh pot of decaf (SORRY for the late brew, I know how frustrating that can be at the end of the night, as a former server.) it was delicious and very much appreciated. All in all, it was a beautiful dinner; from the ambience to the dishware & flatware as well as the menu itself. I loved their wine glasses and the water glasses, 10/10! (they had a great weight to them!) The place is very small, and tucked sort of into a strip mall which may be off-putting to some, but it is so cozy and inviting - you'd be surely missing out if you skipped it. Make sure you catch a reservation and don't sleep on this great hidden gem! Price was great for the quality and portion of food. For two of us, with two glasses of wine, a salad, an appetizer, an entree, dessert, two coffees, (one with Irish whiskey in it ;) ) our total bill came to ~$87 before tip. I was very impressed. May even take the rest of my family there before we leave on Sunday! (It's now Wednesday)

This place is soooo good. It’s a nice intimate place, I really liked the decor too. Perfect for date night (or in my case lunch). We got the garlic knots, these are amazing! They were seasoned so well. We also got the pesto pizza and it was delicious. Cheesy pesto goodness. The portions were great for the two of us. After reading some of the reviews I decided to the get the prickly pear lemonade and it was delicious. Not super sweet and not super tart, it was refreshing. Service was excellent! I can’t wait to return when I come back to Tucson later this year.

Love this place for their food and happy hour! The restaurant itself is located in a plaza and from the outside it looks normal. Inside there are limited seating options and you may be placed right next to the cashier which may feel uncomfortable with other people waiting. Definitely recommend getting a reservation if you come on the weekend. In terms of food I love their Pesto pasta and apple salad with poppy seed dressing! I enjoy coming here during their happy hour when I don’t feel like cooking dinner and I have never been disappointed. Would recommend to others in the area to at least try their happy hour menu items.

What a hidden gem the food is top notch with unique surprises like lemon posset or green chili chicken calzones everything’s fresh made with the best ingredients. The atmosphere is hip, fun, artsy while being intimate, dark, alluring. Staff is the best part they care, make great recommendations, perfectly attentive don’t hover but you are never ignored. My new favorite place in Tucson can’t wait to try everything!

We showed up late for dinner at Renee's (probably about 8:30) for my daughters birthday and found a table outside with a heater. Our server was accommodating and attentive despite our late arrival and brought another Heather over to our table when another group left. Dinner was delicious! Hats off to the chef! We will definitely be back (earlier next time -sorry!).

Environment was very elegant, but yet casual. Inside seating was very private. The lasagna was delicious! The pepperoni pizza was absolutely amazing, the crust makes it even better! Caesar salad can be split between two people, I highly recommend it! But what topped the cake was the focaccia! You guys made my birthday peaceful and private with amazing food. Baylee thank you for your amazing customer service. Ma’am you deserve recognition for your customer service.

We stumbled across Renee’s and found they had several vegan options. We ordered the vegan strombolis and garlic knots via a delivery service. They utilize daiya cheese. The Strombolis were excellent. We didn’t really care for the garlic knots. I definitely highly recommend Renee’s if you’re in Tucson. We are excited to try some of their other vegan offerings. Thanks for providing great vegan options 🌱🌱🌱

This our second visit and both have been incredible! The flavors are simple but deep and, at the same time refreshing! The garlic bread served with the humus was truly the best we have ever had. We love the ambiance and how intimate and modern the feel of this place is. Such a unique experience and we will soon return!!!

Wow! Highly recommend this restaurant. If all I had gotten was the spinach artichoke dip- I would’ve gone home happy. It was fantastic. We also got two different pizzas that were delicious. Did I mention it was all gluten free? 😍 service was quick and friendly, food was fresh and delightful, and the ambiance was great. Definitely worth making a reservation bc it’s a small spot. We will be back!!

Ok I absolutely LOVED the food and vibes here! The murals on the wall were so cool too. It’s a very small restaurant so I highly recommend getting a reservation. The service was great and food was made fresh and was very yummy. I got the Oh Honey Board as appetizer and the Chiles & Cream Pizza. Both were delicious! I’d also recommend the lemonade with the prickly pear syrup 😋 definitely a place I’d love to go back to!

Hey Renee! I know you read these it was great talking with you on Thursday. We were the two guys sitting at the booth next to the front window. We had a blast The food was outstanding Italian food. There’s really no other way to put it. Every ingredient was quality everything was done with professionalism and just tasted solidly excellent. The drinks were really delicious as well a little on the pricey side but worth the cost in my humble opinion since they use quality liquor. They definitely move a lot of pizza here but I got the lasagna and the portions are massive which is always sure to please. Will definitely come back next year. This place is like 3 tables inside. Make reservations or pray. I

Back again. Server SP was wonderful!! Came for the vegan options! And garlic knots. Fantastic service fantastic food. Vegan options and many things can be veganized. Cool mural inside. Absolutely get the vegan calzone. It is delicious and so fluffy. They do not charge for vegan cheese, which is a huge plus.

A very pleasant experience! Staff was friendly, server was attentive and nice. Menu had many good options in my opinion. We both really enjoyed our dishes. We ate on the patio which wasnt too hot by dinner time (20% discount is offered for summer patio seating which was a nice little bonus). Went indoors once to use the restroom, it is quite small inside (maybe 6-8 booths and a couple tables), decoration was simple yet unique, really added to the aesthetics. Would totally come here again!

Renee’s was a great selection for dinner! Renee actually took my order. She was very patient and showed me every item on the menu that had a vegan alternative. I was also offered a glass of water while I waited for my vegan Old Town pizza. I can tell there was a great amount of thought put into the decor. The dim lights and the soft music give the restaurant an intimate ambiance. This is definitely the place to go for date night or perhaps to get work done in peace. My pizza was fresh, light, and appetizing. I will be back. Thank you Renee and staff!

Wow, what a little gem! We so enjoyed our meal tonight at Renee's. This small restaurant has 5 inside tables and 4 outside, and is in a strip mall. Definitely make a reservation in advance so you get a table. It's worth planning ahead. We started by splitting a salad and the spinach artichoke dip with toasted gluten free baguette. Oh my goodness! Right off the bat, I'm in heaven. Not just any GF bread, but a delicious baguette can be added to almost anything. Then we got our entrees, pizza and the baked chicken breast over zucchini zoodles. It was from the "light" menu section, which isn't quite accurate, since it's drenched in a cream sauce. Certainly not light, but oh so good I didn't care. (Even with lactose intolerance!) I would like to see that made a little more clear on the menu, but I'm still glad I got it. My husband loved his pizza. Our dessert was amazing too. Most are gluten free. My husband liked the lemon custard, but it's not GF. The flourless chocolate cake was light and creamy, made even better with the cherries and cinnamon whipped cream. Totally impressed with everything we got. I was surprised by the limited alcohol selection though. Several beers and wines, but only 3 mixed drinks. Thankfully the old fashioned and desert sunset (not sure on the exact name) were really good. I was so impressed that I'll be back anytime I'm remotely in the area. I'd even drive from the Phoenix area to eat here. It really is that good. I think they need a bigger restaurant, but they like it small and do lots of takeout. Don't miss this one if you're GF. So many options including pizza and pasta. Gluten eaters will be equally as happy.

I'd heard many a thing about Renee's (from the quality of the food to the no children under 12 in the dining room policy, which *is* mentioned all everywhere and multiple times when you make your reservations, so if you miss that, totally on you). Now onto the food itself... The focaccia bread (served along with a hot honey sauce IIRC and butter) and the caprese board were excellent appetizers. Everything on both of these dishes was incredibly fresh and quite tasty. The chilies and cream pizza was quite the experience. If you're into spicy foods, then this is definitely a must-have. The combination of green chilies, jalapeño cream sauce, and beef along works so well. The chicken dinner consisted of a chicken breast over spinach and zucchini noodles in a creamy sauce. The chicken was quite tender and moist and the noodles were very flavorful especially when mixed well with the sauce. Not pictured (because it was practically devoured), was the slice of Steve's chocolate cake. Chocolate cake, drizzled in chocolate sauce, and some whipped topping on the side. You can never go wrong with that. While in a small space, Renee's packs quite the culinary punch and if in the area again, would definitely stop by again. Service was fantastic and thank you for an excellent birthday dinner.

Came here for the gluten free pizza and was not disappointed. Very tasty and prepared well. This is a tiny restaurant with about 5 tables inside and 5 outside. I suspect it could seat about 40 people if every spot was filled so I’d highly recommend reservations if you go. The food is good but it’s pricey. My 3 meatballs were $15. We paid over $50 for a small salad, the 3 meatballs and a gluten free pizza. Definitely feels like a quality over quantity type of place but you pay well for it. I’d go back for the pizza but am hard pressed to see the value in the balance of items ordered. EDIT: Added a star due to the response from the owner. It was thoughtful and detailed review.

From the moment we walked in, service was great, very friendly staff. It is a small restaurant, I would recommend making a reservation. We made our same day. Started with drinks, prickly pear lemonade with tequila, very tasty. For appetizers we tried the garlic knots, came out hot and fresh, both ranch and marinara flavorful, a great pairing. I got the Fettuccine alfredo with chicken. The sauce was very creamy and rich, I feel it lacked a bit of flavor. The chicken was tender but fairly plain, blending into the dish rather than standing out. The pasta was cooked well and held the sauce nicely. The best part was the focaccia bread. I might return to try the pizza, they looked to be good and had plenty of choices.

Finally! I've heard so much about this little sweet restaurant. Today my husband and I ate here. He loves Greek salads. And he rarely ever gives a compliment. I was so happy to hear him say, this was the best Greek salad he had ever had! I can't wait to come back with other family members. This will definitely be one of our favorites.

We had a large family order, including various substitutes due to allergies. It was all good! I ordered extra pesto which was perfect for reheating leftover rice pasta for next day lunch.

We made a reservation ( absolutely since it’s a small quaint restaurant) and were seated promptly. Our server was the one and only Renee and she was wonderful! We had some questions which she promptly answered. And the booth was very comfortable. But oh the food! Appetizer of focaccia with honey butter and hot butter, delicious and light and airy 😋 I had the cheese Ravioli with sautéed spinach, very authentic and delicious. My hubby had the Penne pesto which he loved and each dinner came with another piece of focaccia bread! No room for desert 😞. And walking distance from our hotel! We will definitely be back!!!

What an amazing experience! The ambiance, service, and food were absolutely incredible. The setting transported me to the Italian restaurants of NYC's Little Italy, full of charm and authenticity. To our surprise, we later realized that our server was Renee herself! As for the food... EXQUISITE! We even had some leftover Papas con Queso, and Renee suggested enjoying them for breakfast the next morning with a fried egg on top. We took her advice, and of course, it was absolutely delicious!

My mom and I went to try this place as it was just down the street from her home. It is the literal definition of a hidden gem. The interior was lovely and the atmosphere was just perfect. Our service was excellent and the food was phenomenal! I definitely recommend making a reservation if you want to eat inside the dining room as it’s quite small, but everything from the wine, appetizer and pizza to the cup of coffee I had with their cheesecake was perfect. Such a thoughtful establishment. We will definitely be back!

One of my new favorite restaurants in Tucson. I love that the venue is small - only 4 booths inside and maybe 6? Tables outside. Best pesto I've had in a long time! Vegan and gluten free options. And an amazing flourless chocolate cake and vegan dessert (forgetting the name but I think it was a honey ginger cake?). The cup of coffee I ordered was even good! We will definitely be back!

Pleasantly surprised! Very cozy, great friendly staff and the food.... simply DELICIOUS! I ordered the fettuccine alfredo with baked chicken. The sauce was so creamy and garlicy....some of the best I've ever had. The bread is also delicious and you should definitely try the meatballs with jalapeno cream sauce.....SO GOOD! I look forward to going back.

Went here tonight with my husband and this place was amazing! I never leave reviews but we are genuinely so impressed with this restaurant. Brenda was our server tonight and she was excellent! This gem is squeezed between two unrelated businesses in a strip mall. The whole place is probably 20 feet wide, so my wife and I were a little reluctant to try it - thinking it would be like a dive. Boy were we pleased to be seated at a comfortable intimate booth with fine modern art painted on the opposing wall, with soft lighting. The host: Renee herself. We shared a specialty pizza which was excellent. The wine recommended by Renee was good enough for the most discriminating taster. The beer list was complete. The service was cheerful and prompt. The prices: a bargain with all things considered. Yes, we will be back.

Absolutely delicious! Go Eat Here! We had the Caprese Board & Meatballs Arrabbiata appetizers, both were amazing. Our table had the lasagna, a calzone & the shroomy goat pizza. All fantastic! Topped it off with Tiramisu & a chocolate Bundt cake with raspberry crème & decaf coffee. All yummy! We also had red wine & rose with our dinner! Renee was fantastic! Can’t wait to go back!

Wow! I think this is my new favorite restaurant. I came here with my friend for lunch, and both of us have food allergies. We found many menu options that we could eat, and the food was amazing!! Highly recommend, especially for gluten free peeps. (Note: not a dedicated GF kitchen, but staff is very mindful) Great ambiance too, so peaceful & classy.

Rating based on poor service. The Spinach Dip Calzone was very good. The flavors were bold but not overwhelming and chunks of chicken which was nice. Good size to share if small appetite.

Wonderful Italian place that has so many gluten free and vegan options! Their gluten free baguette with honey butter was to die for!! My husband loved their lasagna dish. Would definitely come back on a future trip to Tucson!

This place was delicious! We ordered, from left to right, fettuccine Alfredo with chicken, marinara ravioli with chicken, a custom calzone with sausage, red peppers and green chilies and penne arrabbiatta. We also ordered the spinach artichoke dip appetizer. The fettuccine was creamy and full of flavor. The ravioli was cheese filled, had a layer of melted cheese on top, and marinara was delicious. The calzone had a crust with good flavor and not burnt out overcooked. The sausage is house made and is wonderful. The penne is organic, and the sauce has some tomato chunks, onions and spicy red pepper, this is an absolute must have again. The spinach artichoke dip is creamy and full of flavor. It is served with garlic bread and the combo is amazing! The biggest downfall is to eat inside you must have a reservation due to the limited seating. There are 3 tables for outside dining, 2 are 4 top tables and 1 is a 2 top. Will definitely be going back.

C

This was my second visit here, and the only time I've ever had anything I disliked. My first visit everything was delicious, but during this last visit, the meatballs appetizer we had was just not edible unfortunately. The meatballs were dry and unseasoned. Our server was excellent and dealt with our feedback gracefully. My pizza (chilies and cream) was really lovely and cooked perfectly. Our dessert (goat cheese cheesecake) was a nice sweet ending to our dinner. I love that they serve Arbuckles apricot iced tea here, a nice iced tea from a local company.

We came in for lunch and made reservations on open table. There are only a few booths inside and it was too hot to sit outside. The service was fast and friendly. Our table was ready. We will be back another day because we were kind of rushing to get to Mt. Lemmon! However, we did get the meatballs with jalapeño cream... not as spicy but enough to get a little heat. The pizza was stellar! We got the make your own with pepperoni and sausage but we will be back to try the lasagna and ravioli. Visit #2: We came back for the lasagna and it was tasty. Ours did not have a lot of meat or ricotta cheese but the sauce is flavorful and not acidic. My husband had the pan seared chicken breast in a roasted tomato cream sauce. The sauce was good and the chicken was juicy. This was definitely the better dish. We wanted to try the lemon posset (we were first to arrive at 11am) but they had none. If you want an intimate Italian meal... this is a good place. We also tried the prickly pear lemonade and it was also good! We are fans of prickly pears now!

We are in AZ for the winter. We chose to dine at Renee’s for my birthday dinner based on recommendations from a few locals. Let me say, for a date night this place is a definite YES. It’s cozy and small so really great for conversation (unless you have very loud guests behind you like we did. Unlucky but that happens sometimes). Our Server was friendly and made absolute sure everything was gluten free (I have Celiac Disease) and we didn’t have to wait on her for anything. She took the time to be sure everything came out okay. We ordered wine (no cocktails available). It was good wine. We ordered their Oh My Honey board - that was the absolute star of the night. So simple but SOOOO delish! I’ll be thinking of it for some time. Order it - trust me. The gluten free baguette was also perfect. Toasted to perfection and my n gluten eating husband thought it was one of the better gf breads he’s ever had and preferred it over the gluten bread on the side. We ordered the Caesar Salad and it was so neat to be able to enjoy (GF) Croutons on my salad because that’s a rarity so I really appreciated that option! I had the Sun Dried Tomato and Grilled Chicken Dish. I added GF pasta to it. It was delicious but I would have liked it to have a bit more vegetables and sauce. I’d order it again though. Very tasty. My husband got the lasagna. He said it was really good. Definitely a heavy dish though. For dessert we ordered a lemon custard with berry sauce. Also VERY GOOD. A perfect, lighter dessert. We would like to try their pizzas if we come back. Those sounded fantastic. We felt the menu prices were very reasonable considering the quality ingredients and the allergen friendly options offered. Our meals were good. The service was good - but flat. I just was hoping for great. Being that it was my 50th birthday we thought that there would be a bit more “fanfare”. It was a good experience but not really a memorable one. So my two cents is - wonderful date night spot but maybe not the place for a special occasion.

I placed an order for pickup. I ordered a Caesar Salad with chicken. The salad has 3 items, cheese, croutons and the chicken ( dressing was in to go containers) It comes with bread. I got there at the scheduled time, there was no bread, waited five minutes. Got home, no croutons. ** This is an update** I was outreached by Renee’s and they made this whole situation right. And Renee, you are right, your team are humans and this happens. Forgive me for taking my crappy day out on a review. Take care

Came in to enjoy a Detroit Coney islands it was good, the sauce had good consistency the flavor wasn't right the Greeks in Lafayette and American in downtown use a couple mideast spice that set it off right. Being a chef from Detroit I love me some Coney. Will be in to try the pizza soon. Good luck

Too bad we won't be going back. 😔 The dining experience was amazing. As a Flint Native I was looking forward to continuing to patronize this establishment and I even bragged to my relatives up north about the coneys. As my birthday is this week, I asked my husband to take me there to try your dinner menu. We went on a day when we happened to not have our dog with us. We did not know that pets are not allowed on the patio until today. Had we known then, we would not have gone to eat that day at all. Our well behaved senior has been all over the country and eaten in establishments that are considered 4 and 5 stars. I have a strict policy that if my dog is not allowed on the patio outdoors, an establishment can not get my business. If this policy changes, I would be more than happy to return.

Another great pizza place that serves smaller 12 inch style pizzas. This is a very small place tho. Kids are not welcome and must sit outside. The restaurant is so dark they bring a little light to the table. It's just trying way to hard and as a result the food isn't what you remember. The pizza it's self was great and their sauce is excellent. If you like sauce make sure to order extra they don't add much.

Great food and service. My wife and I shared their outstanding chicken with a sun dried creamy sauce. Very small restaurant in a strip mall. Our table was on the front (covered) sidewalk with a fair amount of traffic noise from the very busy street making conversation a bit challenging.

Got take out white pizza and goat cheese walnut salad here and loved it! The salad dressing was so fresh and delightful and the combination of goat cheese, apples, and walnuts was perfect. The white pizza was super flavorful too! It had the perfect amount of ricotta cheese. Loved every bite!

Food was ok. Service was good. Value was poor. Payed $24 for Spagetti and 3 small meat balls and a piece of focaccia

Great service, good beer list, above average food. Not bad by any means. Not super great though. I checked this place because I was in town for work and happened to see it on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives. That said, this place is neither a diner, drive-in, not a dive. I’d call it a bistro, if anything. The service was great; the host and server were very friendly. I usually gravitate to places with a bar so I can sit there and not take up a whole table, they don’t have a bar here so I sat at a table, but there were several other people there by themselves so I guess it wasn’t weird. They have a good range of beers available (about a dozen), with a local ‘beer of the month’ (this month it was a local chocolate porter which was one of the best porters I’ve ever had). On his show, Fieri highlighted their pizza and calzones. I think the one thing that stood out to me was their lack of meat toppings for their pizza and calzones. For a regular price ($3 ea) they only had pepperoni and anchovies. For $6 each you could add chicken, beef meatballs, or sausage. There were a lot of veggie options and your typical cheese options. I had a red onion, artichoke hearts and spinach calzone. The calzones have a mix of mozzarella and ricotta cheeses, I think I would’ve preferred a little more mozzarella and less ricotta, but no biggie. They actually burnt my calzone, but I appreciate the server coming out and being straight with me and telling me it was going to be a little longer. All in all, I didn’t wait too long for my food, so it wasn’t a big thing. The one that I got was good. I really think it was lacking meat, but I didn’t want to pay the extra for the good meat (and I don’t like pepperoni). Anyway, this is getting super long and I can get back to my hotel until I finish because I can’t use google maps without losing this review. So I’ll wrap it up. Decent calzone, good beer, great service. Overall good experience, just a little less than I would’ve expected of a place I saw on TV.

I would give Renee's a 3.5 stars if I could. The first time I went I loved it!! Ever since it hasn't wowed me. The last 2 times I have gone I wanted a certain dish, and each time they didn't have it. We always had great service and the food is decent. I just wish I could actually get the hummus tostada and hummus platter. Listed in the pictures is a hummus platter and an apple walnut salad.

We had saw this place on the news and thought to give it a shot. The pizza was good but not worth the $24 price tag associated with it. Not to mention the $3 CAN of coke. In my opinion there are better pizza option in Tucson for less money. The only way I’d return is for “happy hour” where a one topping pizza is $10

I usually enjoy trying new restaurants, and this was one of the places I considered visiting with my husband for our anniversary. Surprisingly, the atmosphere wasn’t particularly nice, nor was it kid-friendly at all. They didn’t even have a high chair. It’s not a fine dining restaurant either, so that was honestly unexpected. The food was also overpriced for the quality and portion size. Unfortunately, this is not a place I would visit again. I genuinely don’t understand why the reviews are so good.

Very mid overall. Salads and Pesto sauce were very good to be fair. The meat lasagna was burnt to a crisp on the bottom and sides which lead to a flavor that was unappealing to our table at large. Also the prices to add meat to dishes seem astronomical. Staff are lovely I would skip this place.

Re: pizza from Renee’s We chose to give this restaurant a try, as it was one of few to offer gluten free pizza in the area and it was rather disappointing! The texture of the crust was okay, but it had zero flavor and then the edges of bottom were burnt. The sauce also left a lot to be desired, as it lacked flavor of any kind, no herbs and/or seasoning throughout; (low sodium tomato sauce from a can probably has more flavor!) Even the topping on husband’s pizza was sad, as the barely there, chopped up and scattered “meatballs” (for which they charged $8.50)(on a 10in) could pass at best as dry, flavorless ground beef. Maybe it was just an off night, but we won’t be back. The girl at register was pleasantly friendly.

A cute place. The food was okay. I ordered fettuccine and they put way too much olive oil/butter. I tried another pasta, spicy but really good. Tried the spinach and dip and the bread were all so good. My first time here yesterday and the food was not ready by the time stated. It was at least past 10 min late. Which was no big deal, they were busy. The people in front of me were offered a dessert for waiting a bit longer and the lady offered them a dessert- right in front of me. As I walked up to get my food after waiting longer, I wasn’t offered a dessert. I felt as if my service did not matter.

Ordered pick up. Got home and the Chicken Alfredo had NO chicken! Called and they offered to credit my card for the missing chicken and apologized for the "new trainees in the kitchen". Also ordered the pesto pasta which was awful - completely tasteless - no pesto flavor whatsoever. We also noticed the portion sizes are significantly smaller than before. Overall a very disappointing meal. **rated them two stars only because previous visits have been fine. Tonight was a huge miss and we're still hungry!!

Our pizza came, and it tasted like pepperoni, sausage, and olive oil. My wife remarked that I had ordered one of their sauce less pizzas. Except I hadn't. I ordered the everything pizza, and it is supposed to have marinara sauce on it. After much searching, we couldn't find any marinara on the pizza, so we explained the situation to our waitress and asked her to bring us some marinara sauce. Now, all the flavors blend together and taste like a pretty good pizza. But, now the crust has cooled some, and the more it cooled the tougher it got, until you really had to struggle to cut or chew it. Koodos for the flavor of the crust, it was delicious. The service was timely and very good. The atmosphere...well it's in a strip mall, and it felt like it. The pizza with the sauce on it was a 4 star; it would have been 5 if the crust didn't stiffen up and it wasn't so greasy. Will try them again and maybe try the lasagna or something.

My first time. I had heard so many great things and was really looking forward to the Arrabbiata sauce. I stopped by at 2:53pm, placed my order to go, and paid ($22 w tip)The restaurant was empty, and was told it would be just a couple of minutes. I sat down in a nice chair to wait. I saw a stack of take away menus, and asked it if I could have one, and was told yes. On the front of the menu is a notice for "AT HOME HAPPY HOUR, available 3pm - 5:30pm for take out. $10 per item pizza, or salad or Penne Arrabbiata" the item I had just ordered... I checked my watch, now it's 2:56pm. I asked if I could get this, and she said no, it's not 3pm and the cash register will not let me give that. It's now 2:58pm she handed me my order at 3:01pm and I walked out... Wouldn't it have been nice of her to tell me about the special that started in 7 minutes? I could have had a glass of wine while I waited, or gone next door for a few minutes... I'm not going to comment on the food, as the service left me with a bad taste in my mouth.

Have tried before with friends, decided to try at lunch. We went when they opened at 11 and were the only table but were told with kids we were only allowed to sit outside in the 100 degree heat because they weren't allowed inside the restaurant. My kids are very well behaved and I wanted to warn people since I think it's crazy to treat kids like less than human.

Edit: Again despite owners response this dog was tied up with a loose t shirt, roaming the aisle with leisure and approaching my child while not under full control as we were trying to make our way to the bathroom, something that is not to be expected of a true service animal. I believe the owner’s continued dismissive and defensive responses are a testament to what anyone visiting this establishment can expect. Foods fine. This place is way too pretentious for a restaurant that’s located in a strip mall. They force anyone one with a child to sit outside in >100 degree heat but are okay with dogs inside? Despite owner’s response there were in fact patrons with a dog inside while our family of 4 with children were asked to sit on the patio when it was 102F that day. We knew before going that parties with children would be required to sit on the patio, so that was expected, but to sit there with your kids outside while people are allowed to bring animals inside, just felt insulting. We will definitely carry on elsewhere and advise others to do the same.

I ordered the caesar salad, was told they are out of caesar dressing, and ranch. The tiramisu that was the remaining item I ordered was not very good, it taste like instant coffee Cafe Vienna and butter cream. Very disappointing, may not return as a customer.

I didn't eat at this restaurant, and for one reason only. They discriminate against children. We wanted to sit inside with our 8 yo and were told that they could only accommodate us outside, had my child been a fur baby, I totally get it, however this wasn't the case. They should advertise this venue is only for adults. We will never eat here.

Now I know how African Americans and their minorities feel when they are told they can’t eat at a restaurant because of the owner's discriminatory policies. I thought this attitude had been eradicated with the civil rights act, but apparently it’s permissible to exclude families. Such an offensive policy that out of principle I can’t support this kind of establishment. .

Spent a week to find a nice place to eat with my family. We came here and was told our son wasn't old enough to dine inside. He's 8yo. I didn't see any disclaimers posted anywhere or online at the time. Caused my high functioning autistic wife have a meltdown. We spent the next hour to try to find another restaurant to go to. But it didn't matter where we ate anymore because it was already ruined.

We went there because of the excellent gluten free reviews on Find Me Gluten Free app. Don't even attempt to go there if you don't have a reservation and you have kids. The "outdoor space" that is the only place where children are allowed is literally one table. The hostess was rude and made us feel unwelcome. We misunderstood that the requirements for kids applies to anyone under 12 years old, as the information at the door referred to booster chairs, which we did not need. It was an honest mistake because we have NEVER in all our years visited an establishment that doesn't allow kids ( including Michelin star restaurants) and we're not aware of this until we actually got there. Sure, they have it on the website but if you have never experienced this how would you know to look at their website first? The disappointment of the treatment when we got there was definitely one not to recommend. In any case, I am happy not to patronize a place that treats children as a second class citizens, I just wish we didn't waste our precious hours in the area and went directly to the many other local establishments who were happy to welcome us all.

I hadn’t been to this restaurant in about 10+ years because the last time I ate here I had fettuccine Alfredo that had too much garlic, causing me to become violently ill. I decided to give it another chance, this time taking a huge risk by exposing my best friend and small child to a potentially mildly toxic amount of one of America’s favorite seasonings. Apparently in the past few years they have changed their policy to only allow people 12 and up to eat inside the establishment. Mind you, this is by no means a Flemmings type restaurant (Flemmings, however will permit your naughty little brats inside). My daughter, being unfavorably aged, wasn’t permitted inside the building. I mentioned to the waitress that I felt as though they view children like dogs that are only allowed on the patio. Not her fault, although I was curious if they had pup-cups available for my daughter. I have a mentally disabled aunt who is cognitively/behaviorally advanced to that of less than a 12 year old. Would I be allowed to dine inside with her? What about older patrons who have a degenerative disease such as dementia who, like my 3 year old, may need assistance eating, spill things, or speak too loudly? Anyway, I could have simply chosen not to eat here, but I was kind of in a time crunch because I was soon due to pick up my other 6 year old fur baby from kindergarten. It was cold and rainy and they didn’t even have a heater to put on the patio. The food was really good and our server was nice. I’m more or less just warning other moms/parents to not come here. The explanation is that they are going for an adult/date vibe in a small restaurant….but an intimate romantic restaurant date can eventually lead you to the creation of a human being that is not allowed inside the restaurant with you, so proceed with caution because this one will be off your list as a parent.
