Los mejores salbutes que he probado
Excelente servicio
I enjoyed a lovely little breakfast, beautifully prepared and presented. I would rather have paid a bit more to recieve the eggs benedict resting atop a slice of ham or salmon rather than directly on the english muffin. A biscotti or dainty cookie would have been a great touch with the very good and generous cup of coffee too.
From the moment you walk in, it invites you to stay and spend a romantic weekend with your partner, a spa day with friends, or just to enjoy a delicious candlelit dinner. A hidden paradise in the center of Mérida where the experience is 360 degrees: the smells, the view, the decor, the pampering of everyone, and the taste of the drinks and dishes. Each space is created to fill your senses! Don't forget to try the beef escalopes that literally melt in your mouth with the broccoli risotto, the chicken breast stuffed with apple, and for dessert, the guava ate tart with sweet cream cheese ball, a true delight.
Excellent food, elegant, prepared with great care and innovation. Highly recommend.
Cho'oj Galería Gastronómica is a small gem in the city, tucked away inside a boutique hotel called Yaax with only eleven rooms and a lovely pool near the historic center. Once inside, you can't hear the noise of traffic or people passing by. It's like a tiny Zen retreat complete with a koi pond. The restaurant offers a short but interesting menu designed by chef Roberto Solís and prepared by chef Luis Canul Estrella, featuring a variety of local and international dishes that are beautifully prepared and presented. I tried a Caesar salad with recado negro sauce and garlic breadcrumbs, a risotto with local squash and queso de bola (ball cheese), chicken salbutes, and a berry mousse cake with cream cheese frosting. Everything was delicious, but I loved the risotto because it has pine nuts and, instead of Italian cheese, they used queso de bola (ball cheese), so typical of the state.
What a delightful gem and we found out tonight it's been open for two years already. Outstanding food and outstanding service. It seems to be a mix of modern and Yucatecan fusion restaurant. Slightly newer takes on traditional dishes. The prices were reasonable for a higher-end style restaurant and some creative dishes. And then there's the desserts. I had chocolate sponge cake and strawberries as they poured hot toffee from a teapot on to the dessert!! True heaven in a bowl. This is an incredibly highly recommended restaurant.
A delicious restaurant inside the boutique hotel. There are only six tables, but the food is delicious. I recommend it for special occasions. The menu has vegetarian options, although you'll be tempted to try carnivorous dishes. Follow your instincts, as no dish will disappoint. The cocktails are very good. The kitchen is right in front of you, and the care they take with your food is extraordinary. Go and enjoy some haute Mexican fusion cuisine.
Excellent service, highly qualified staff. Impeccable and unique decor! Good menu, but prices are high, higher than average, even compared to the best restaurants in the city's tourist area.
Great atmosphere and very good food. The open kitchen allows to interact with the chef and his commis who are doing an amazing job carefully preparing each dish. While there could be some improvement on the service side, the presentation of each dish by the chef himself at the table is greatly appreciated. I definitely recommend.
It's a small restaurant that at first glance might not seem like what it is. The decor is quite pleasant and well-balanced, true to its name, which means blue in Spanish. It's a gourmet restaurant, so the portions are small and the prices may seem a bit high; however, the dishes are very tasty and beautifully decorated. The bald pork arepa and the cheese ball risotto are exceptional. The only detail I think needs a little more attention is the waiter service. They are very friendly, but seem a bit inexperienced. I hope that over time they can improve this aspect a bit so that they can become a benchmark restaurant for this style of cuisine.
Before anything else, I want to assure you of something: FACEBOOK'S ALGORITHM IS AWFUL! We got here because of that thing's advertising! I don't know if it was because I've been posting nothing but food stuff, or because of the "I'm here" posts, but it was definitely a success. We started with a reinterpretation of lime soup: a clarified infusion with blue corn tortilla powder, spring onion, and sprouts. It sounds fancy, and it tastes just as good! Next, a garden from our (their) orchard with flowers and sprouts, a coral of melipona bee honey, caramelized apple bonbons, and a watermelon vinaigrette. For the main course, a slow-cooked Edam cheese and hairless pork risotto with plantain purée and a cascabel chile sauce with Salmiana and Espadín mezcal. To finish, the sweet touch of the evening: a mille-feuille of mole poblano with Oaxacan chocolate and caramelized fried plantain, and a rice pudding with three textures. As for drinks, nothing out of the ordinary: Perrier water and capsule coffee. They have some wines that seem to be good, but we're not really into wine pairings yet. In our world of young adults, wine is still for making sangria and tinto de verano! A great place, with spectacular food and a very reasonable price for the quality of the food and the culinary experience they offer. Bravo! Review: MAUBonilla Photos: MONRomero
Muy buena presentación, pero el sabor no le hace justicia al precio.
Pequeño lugar, gran cocina
The food was very good. The service was off. Our appetizer was forgotten. Wine was opened with “rabbit ears” wine opener. No tasting of the wine (ordered by the bottle) was offered. The glasses were “lifted” off of the table and and poured large portions. The water glasses were removed from the table to the bar area for additional mineral water. There was no music in the restaurant until requested. These are service levels which are standard in a high end restaurant. The courtyard was gorgeous.
Interesting atmosphere and good breakfast
Su carta es pequeña, la comida no está mal pero no es sobresaliente.
Average restaurant. Overpriced compared to other restaurants in the area. They have few options and the portions are small. We ordered the picaña, which was really, really tough and cost 420 pesos a plate. It came with mashed potatoes, but only a tablespoon. The red wine sauce was delicious, but the meat was so tender that we had to cut it into strips and eat it in tacos. The cochinita pibil was delicious. The appetizer they serve is delicious: chopped vegetables with a garlic sauce, and they serve you water at no extra cost. The staff was very friendly.
Beautiful little restaurant tucked into a higher end hotel. I came here specifically for the duck enchiladas listed on the breakfast menu of their website. Unfortunately those have been replaced with chicken enchiladas (boring) so I ordered the green chilaquiles with suckling pig and pork belly dust (crushed pork rinds). They were just okay. I’ve had mind blowing chilaquiles for 60 pesos in Yucatan that were better than these 160 peso chilaquiles. The service was great though and the music here was notably good.
Demasiado caro.
Both the chicken pibil and the panuchos' suckling pig were overcooked. They had no flavor at all. The steak was sous vide, and they didn't even try to sear it. In short, it's better than hospital food. The service is terrible; they only have junior staff who clearly have never provided quality service in their lives.
It's overrated. The place is very nice, but the food is nothing special. The risotto was overcooked, and the suckling pig was cold. We ordered a bottle of wine, and it arrived open. In short, it's beautiful but extremely expensive for the low quality of the food.
Discusting breakfast. 1 out of 2 croissants were burned. Waiter was very slow and we waited approx. 30 min + for our food. Not recommended
