Our experience at the 18 Steak restaurant was phenomenal. The decor and setting is very nice. We really enjoyed the view. Our server was very good, friendly and very efficient. The red fish was a marvelous choice, moist and loaded with flavor. A very enjoyable experience and a restaurant we will certainly visit again. Very good.

Code was our waiter and he was amazing. Everything he suggested was amazing!!!!! The appetizers, entree’ and dessert. My boyfriend took me here to celebrate my birthday weekend. I believe in great service and Code didn’t let us down. He was very engaging as well. The ambiance felt like a true steakhouse.

Mr Jeremy was an absolute gem of a server, witty, personable, prompt and went above and beyond expectations! As for the food, chef’s kiss, gumbo with perfect spice, oysters so tender over the chopped green tomatoes with remoulade sauce, yummy, and steak 5⭐️. Crème brûlée and beignets, awesome 👏. Such a lovely evening!

A very pleasant girl works at the bar. I honestly don’t understand how she manages to handle such a large number of guests — she’s doing an amazing job. The bar itself is truly beautiful; you get real aesthetic pleasure just being there. The illuminated table looks especially stunning. My children ordered chocolate ice cream and chocolate cake — everything was very delicious. Very close by, just a few steps away, there is a lovely outdoor terrace where you can enjoy a beautiful view of the river. Overall, I highly recommend this place.

Always a pleasure going here for dinner! I tell my friends that they have one of the best steaks I’ve ever had! I definitely recommend getting the steak served with their garlic butter on top.

I was very surprised with the food. I dont order steaks from steak houses because I usually feel like i can do better at my house, I did taste my wife and it was actually really good. I got the scallops, and they were perfect!

I’m from ATL, and consider myself a foodie, and so I did not have expectations of having an excellent steak and Brussels sprouts in a casino in Baton Rouge. So I was pleasantly surprised! On top of that the waitstaff and chef were so friendly and attentive.

My husband brought me here to celebrate me passing my licensure exam and we were with some friends to celebrate someone’s birthday and we were all in awe with this place. The ambiance was really nice, our waiter was super nice and funny. They found and drinks were delicious! I’ll definitely be back, my steak was amazing along with the creamed spinach minus the egg in it.

Omg! This is my first time trying this place our today with my friends. The food especially was excellent. Great quality Steaks. We ordered Ribeye Steak, Cowboy Steak Black Angus, baked potato, Mac and cheese, and I ordered the Wagyu burger with fries and it was amazing. The service was excellent. We were checked on to see if everything was okay. No complaints here. The food was really great. I will be coming here again. Food, service, and atmosphere was excellent.

Was a really wonderful steak experience. Excellent prime steak cooked a perfect medium rare with great lobster. The waiter was knowledgeable and the drinks were very good too. My bill was appropriate for the quality of steak I ate. Not sure about the previous reviewers. It was really one of the best experiences I've had.

We went to 18 Steak for my birthday, and all I can say is it is an experience. From the cocktails to dessert, it was one of the best meals ever! The service was also impeccable! Truly one of the best steaks I have ever eaten (and the creamed spinach was delicious!)

Love 18 Steak. Always come here for special occasions and have never been disappointed. Steaks are some of the best I've ever had, anywhere. Waiters are always very knowledgeable and helpful in answering questions. Great wine selection. Beautiful decor too - very romantic.

Well a five star, five diamond place, It is, for sure, ultra set up for guests to enjoy the wide river or the nice decor. The chandelier was quite interesting to me and with the ceiling and room size ehough to make the large chandelier fit right in. The shrimp appetizer I had such a flavorful sauce to make me want more. But I must resist a big steak is coming. The bread was a cheesy mix that made it irresistible. One must be careful or it will become a full meal of bread alone. The steak arrives sizzling on large steel griddle positioned in a wooden block to make it a great serving combination that keeps it warm while enjoying the meal. And Sizzle it did! The steak was draped over mix of vegetables and potatoes that were cooked perfectly. What a feast. It will cost you! I think it was worth it.

This was my first time going but the food here was amazing!! It had flavor and was tender best steak ever and I loved the Mac & cheese! Highly recommended!! The view and vibes was also great!! Hostess and waiter was respectful and really caring of the needs of the table!!

Great place inside L'Auberge Casino. Attentive staff and great offerings. Love how they always serve a marrow with the steaks and let you pick a steak knife from the box. Great drink menu and wine selection.

This is gotta be one of the best restaurants ive ever been to in my life. The waiter was real nice and layed back. The way we were greeted and seated was nice. The menu selection has various options. I started off with a cup of chicken and sausage gumbo. I also got a steak and it was really good. I like how the waiter brings the knifes in a box and lets the diner select. Everything was professional and great. I would love to come back one day in the future.

I contacted the restaurant to attempt to set up a surprise for a friend of mine who retired that day. I spoke with Taylor and her positive and helpful attitude was contagious. She was so beyond helpful, made it so easy to make my request, and even got just as excited as I was for the surprise to take place! I couldn’t get over how smoothly and easily she made this happen and with such genuine enthusiasm. I had to ensure I recognized her somehow. I’d go to this restaurant solely based on the experience I had with Taylor. He was so beyond excited and grateful. Thank you 18 steak. And THANK YOU, TAYLOR!

A couple of weeks ago we visited this restaurant. My husband and I had never eaten here. The couple we were with was more familiar with 18 Steak. Can I just say WOW!! What a meal and what great wait staff. Christina was our server and she was knowledgeable, professional and friendly!! She made sure we were comfortable, that we understood the choices of meats, etc. She even helped suggest a wine for the table. This is not a place that we will go to all the time as the prices are higher but in the end we felt like we received a delicious, quality meal and amazing customer service thanks to Christina!!

While this was my first time visiting 18 STEAK I was disappointed that I was cold the entire night due to the heat in the restaurant being broken! I appreciate Kobe, our server, for being kind enough to give us hot tea, which did help alleviate the situation to a certain degree.He was very knowledgeable of the menu items and helpful!

We came to 18 Steak several times. Our servers were always amazing. I generally love the food I ordered but there were some disappointing ones among them. Steaks were generally pretty good and some sides are delicious. There were some side dishes I loved but they are not in the menu anymore. Ambience is nice for romantic dinners but I think they need to clean the light fixtures etc or a little update for a very expensive restaurant like that

The gumbo needs some work there was no seasoning the roux was to dark and to say it was chicken and sausage there was no chicken in it. But that boneless ribeye was amazing the collard greens were also good even tho they were sweet

Exceptional servers and bartenders, but their menu could use some diversity. It’s over priced for the quality of the food. They have a wide drink selection, and very tasty desserts. Their wagyu meatballs are the best thing on the menu, hands down.

We’re staying at the casino on holiday. We decided to casually dine downstairs but we didn’t have reservations. So we decided to patronize the bar at 18 Steak. We sat there for about 15 minutes being ignored by Mr. Glenn. He avoided eye contact and after we said hello to him he replied with just a second. He had conversations with the other customers at the bar. He even told one couple a delightful story about his kid being able to listen to a book on the audio books app while studying for two other subjects which scares the heck out of him but he acknowledges his kid is super smart. He then spoke to a couple walking up that were a few feet away. He never asked us for our order or anything. Thankfully Ms. Grace was working this Saturday and she helped us. She took our order and made our drinks. She was very nice and welcoming. Even when Mr. Glenn told the couple sitting next to us let’s blame the bad drinks on her in jest I thought. But then he added “even though she blames things on me constantly we won’t blame her tonight.” Any who we tipped $30 because Ms. Grace was so nice and I think Mr. Glenn kind of assumed that we “Black Folks” weren’t going to tip based on some of his other comments and convos around us. Anywho try the Mac and Cheese, and let Ms. Grace serve you.

Ordered the Delmonico ribeye, and it was disgusting. It was very tough and rancid tasting. We order Delmonico's often and that definitely wasn't one. Switched it out for a Filet (so much better). BBQ shrimp aren't traditional BBQ shrimp.

Me and my husband came for our 30th anniversary.The service was very good but our steaks were not warm and not the way we had ordered . We ordered med rare and the steaks were very well done and very overcooked..The wine was chilled and very good but it put a huge damper on our Anniversary.I would have to consider coming back.

The service was great. The waygu meatballs were okay. It was mostly breading. The raw oysters and mac n' cheese were on point. Yet, the waygu burger was not what I was expecting. The meat itself was good quality, but the overwhelming saltiness completely ruined the dish for me. It was as if the burger had been marinated in a salt bath - every bite was overpowering and left a bad taste in my mouth. I tried my best to enjoy it, but in the end, I was unable to finish the burger due to the excessive saltiness.

Thought we'd try the $18 steak special on Sunday. It was what they called the Prime New York Strip, 8 oz. nothing Prime about it. Any cheap steakhouse steak was better. Just a rouse to get you in and spend a lot more money. They could at least give you an edible steak. Steak undercooked as well(had to send back while sides got cold) and service terrible. Didn't get one apology. Will not be spending money there ever again .

Service was not great, and the food wasn’t either for the price. My husband’s steak was under seasoned. He had to ask for steak sauce and we NEVER eat steak sauce. My food was ok but it’s not a place I would recommend. We were disappointed.

Wasn’t impressed. Food was mediocre at best. Tried the ‘double’ hamburger that only had 1 patty and terribly seasoned, actually mostly burnt…much like the bread that was brought to our table as well. Wouldn’t recommend, not worth the money or the time

My experience here was horrible i waited 1hr 1/2 for my food then it came out uncooked as i sat at the bar i noticed knats flying on the fruit and different containers asked would i be comped something for the wait manager chris said hell give me a drink horrible

I just left there and I have to say it was not worth it at all. Went there as a party of 5 to celebrate 3 birthdays. They do nothing special for birthdays. We were there for 2.5 hours even though most of the tables were empty. Judging by how the food server gave us our plates, it seemed liked he didnt want to be there. All the steaks were cooked as ordered and the rest of the food was not bad, they were good but nothing spectacular to come back for. Then we ordered the bread pudding and chocolate torte for dessert. The bread pudding came in a nice bowl with the sauce poured by the server but the torte for some reason was in a plastic togo container and just tossed on the table. We were all confused on why they did that and we will never know because I'd rather spend my $479 elsewhere.

This is my second time coming here. The first time I went, my $62 Ribey was full of gristle but it did have a great taste. Service was just ok. Not good or bad really. My second time coming here was tonight and it will be my last time. I had another $62 steak but this time it was the Filet. This steak was very tender I must say, but it was lacking on flavor. I ordered it medium and it was cooked about right. I'm no stranger to these expensive type restaurants. I can say that the side dishes that I have tried are ok, nothing to brag about, just average. I have eaten much better food for far less prices. The only reason this place is still in business is because it is in a Casino environment. I also believe the menu prices are high to keep a particular demographic out. Long story short, this place is simply not worth the money and I have no plans to visit here again.

Ordered the Australian Wagyu expecting top tier steak...it wasnt in my opinion. The steak had a lot of gristle and was tough. I could not even tell it was an $80 steak. Ambiance of the restaurant was nice as it over looks the river, and so was our waiter, but it isn't something I'd go back to again especially to spend $300 and leave dissatisfied.

2 years in a row we’ve had an extremely mediocre birthday experience here. Our actual server tonight was good but we waited for an hour for cold steaks. They were comped off the bill but the manager really sounded like he had been dealing with the same issues all night.

The only good thing about the experience was how nice our server was. The food took almost an hour to come out on a night where there were exactly 5 different parties dining in. The quality of the steak was nothing special given what I am paying, could do much better at one of the other local steakhouses. Can't say I will be back after this supbar experience.

My husband and I were celebrating our 26th wedding anniversary and made reservations to have dinner here. Our waiter was Jeremy. Jeremy was not attentive at all. He took forever to get our order in. Our food took forever for us to get it and when we did, Jeremy never came over to see if everything came out okay. My husband got the delmonico ribeye and I got a filet to which both steaks were really thick and no steak knives to cut them with. We waited and waited for Jeremy to come…10-15 minutes and our steaks getting cold. My husband had to literally yell Jeremy’s name for him to come to our table. We finally got our steak knives. My steak was really good! My husbands steak was not so great. It was a very tough steak. The sides were really good. The crawfish and Tasso Mac and cheese was the best! But as we were eating, they sat an old drunk guy and his wife next to us. As the old man was eating his soup, he started vomiting in his napkin and soup and then proceeded to eat the soup! It was the most disturbing and disgusting experience ever! My husband had to get up and walk out of the restaurant because he can’t handle those kinds of bodily functions as we are eating. Then our dessert came. Thank goodness Jeremy brought me a box to put it in because we could bear to eat it next to that old man. Jeremy took my cards to cash us out and literally took FOREVER to bring them back to me. Like at least 10-15 minutes of me sitting there waiting for my cards and ticket while my husband is outside the restaurant. He went to go get a manager to complain but no one seemed to care at all. Whoever he talked to said they couldn’t find anyone who vomited. Whatever. Watch the security tape. You will see him vomiting and strings of mucus from his mouth to his napkin. It was the most disgusting thing to see while we were eating. So I give the food 3 stars because it was good, just not 5 star worthy and not worth the price. The rest, if I could give zero stars, I WOULD!

I attended a birthday dinner for a friend. The ambience was nice, food and service was horrible. We barely saw our server and had to ask for EVERYTHING, We weren’t offered refills on drinks or additional drink orders from the bar. When our food arrive most of it was cold and steaks were not cooked to the right temperature. I sent mine back, ordered medium came well done. Second steak came out RARE! When another party members steak came out still not cooked properly the server was like “ OH MY GOD what now.” Very professional right? Lol! In midst of allllll of this guess what?? Never saw a manager or was asked to see one. Steak was bllaaannndddd! I’m never going back. First and last experience!

My friends and I chose to have dinner at 18 Steak before a comedy show last night, and our dinning experience was very lackluster. Our server was extremely inattentive and it took approximately 2 hours for us to receive our entrees. The table was never cleared from the bread plates and empty glasses. I had to track down our server twice, once to check the status of our food and then again for the checks.This was my first time dinning at 18 Steak and I was expecting a great experience, especially for the price; however, I was severely disappointed and frustrated the entire time. There were four people total in my party, and it was the first time three out of the four of us visited the establishment; as of right now, we do not plan to visit again.

This was the absolute worst steak I’ve ever had in my life. I ordered the $80 Australian Wagyu beef and I don’t know what kind of beef I was served but there’s no way it was Wagyu!!! The drinks were OK and the wait staff does their job, but the food is horrible..

My boyfriend and I are staying at the l'auberge hotel and made a reservation on open table for 9:00pm. We got to the restaurant around 9:10pm and are asked if we made a reservation. When we told the woman our name, she asked if we were meeting them. We responded, "No we are them." She called over the manager and I overheard the woman telling the manager that the people who sat before us said they were under this reservation. The manager then proceeded to tell us that our reservation was a quarter of an hour ago and due to the fact that they are extremely busy and close at 9:00 they are unable to seat us. There were many tables available. I've worked at many restaurants before and this is absolutely unacceptable. If you close at 9:00 and are extremely booked than why are you accepting reservations at this time? Clearly our reservation was taken and instead of accommodating us we were made to feel unwelcome! I will never come back or recommend this restaurant to anyone!

Got the dry aged ribeye. It was so tough that the knife couldn’t even cut it. I’ve gotten better cuts of meat from Texas Roadhouse.

I just ate at this restaurant for the second time it was marginal initially but this time it was complete and utter garbage all three dishes were horrible not only the service was none existent I am appalled at the food they were trying to serve, my dog can cook better barbecue shrimp, beware, very expensive and horrible save your money

Would give 0 stars but ya know u cant anyhow came here with high expectations but my husband and i both order a grade a prime ribeye and a filet in all my beef eating years i have never eatin a burnt medium cooked steak that is so unflavorful and tuff.

This location has to be a some sort of gimmick to get you to the casino. Our group of four waited no less than 45 minutes for medium rare steaks that came out about room temperature. The waitress ensured us that the sides came in a la carte portions, that was false. My overall experience was a poor one and I would not recommend this restaurant. I did phone my friend who is a head chef at the Lake Charles location and he confirmed that my experience is consistent with several other’s reports. **9/15/20 UPDATE** I received an email from Google that this review was "popular". Unfortunately to my disappointment, this completely honest review is being beat down to 1 star. I visited 18 Steak with an unbiased opinion and also did my due diligence as a consumer to spare others a negative experience. that's the premise of this system. Secondly, for the PR show. "owner" hasn't responded to emails from myself or anyone affiliated with me pertaining to this experience.

It started off very well. But my steak was very dry and the “special” knifes they give you couldn’t even cut through it. I like a crust on my steak, but they took it to an extreme and had a lot of burnt areas. Also if you’re not of higher class the difference of how you’re treated is pretty obvious. I hate saying that, but the people behind us (who were obviously spending more money than us) were being attended to every minute and we saw our server a total of 4 times. The servers seemed to to want to get us out of the way to get back to their more important clients. I’m very lenient when it comes to bad service, but they couldn’t make it more obvious to my step-dad and I how they go about their service. We enjoyed the atmosphere, but the steaks were just a waste of money and seemed to be reheated. Very disappointed I had very high expectations. Needless to say we won’t be going back. If I were them I’d actually get some cooks that know how to cook the meat they charge so much for. Also treat everyone fairly and equally. Poor poor experience. 0 stars that’s possible

Meet a friend there last Sunday for dinner and he already ordered my steak 10 to 15 minutes before I got there sat down and waited about 15 minutes before the waiter came by to tell me that my steak was almost done then he turned around and walked off immediately before I could order a drink or a salad then about 15 minutes later he brought out my steak and it was Luke warm like it was sitting under a heat lamp for a while! It was good but he never came back by so I could complain about it so I ate it and the we waited another 15 minutes before we could flag him down and ask for the check ! I've been in the restaurant business for 17 years and never had this bad of service! The place only had maybe 5 other tables occupied and it was a terrible experience! I don't see how this could happen while so slow !

Food was marginal and service was terrible. Just a few of the “highlights”: appetizer took forever and was cold; served to us without plates (we had to get up and get plates off of the table next us); $70 steak was full of gristle; we had to ask for steak knives; it took 1 1/2 hours for one appetizer and 2 steaks; waiter came by once to fill our water glasses. $200 later I felt like I had been robbed.

Was so excited to eat here! The food was really great, service was sub-par. Our waitress took forever to take our drink order and when she did, she rushed through getting our order to get to the next table. With how expensive this restaurant is, you’d think they’d have AC! When I mentioned this to the waiter that delivered our food, he told me that it’s been like this for weeks, they just haven’t fixed it. After eating our hot food and pouring sweat, our waitress kept apologizing for how hot it is... WHY WOULDNT YOU TELL US THIS BEFORE SEATING US?! That’s just bad customer service. Don’t entice people to come eat an expensive meal, just to have them sweat the entire time. They didn’t offer to compensate us or anyone else sweating. Won’t be back!

For the price the food could be better. We waited over an hour for our food and it was not that busy over 1/2 the tables were open. One of the steaks was ordered medium, it came out EXTREMELY rare. We sent it back and then it was then medium rare.. STILL not cooked. All the steaks were over salted. Even lentil soup was very salty. The only good thing was the bread. Definitely not worth the price. Skip this save your money and just go to the sports bar.The only thing I can say was the server was EXCELLENT. Even with the subpar food we intended to pay for everything. Our waiter without telling us removed both steaks and the soup from our bill. That's over 130$. We were shocked. So we gave him a VERY generous tip.

The food was not seasoned all. It's priced to high to taste like nothing. The BBQ shrimp sauce was good but the shrimp tasted like nothing. I definitely won't be going back.

Would not recommend this establishment. Although the service was acceptable, the food had much to be desired. $77 for a steak that had no juices (cooked medium), butter would not even melt on the loaded potato, the creamed spinach was mostly cheese and the roasted Brussels sprouts tasted old with no seasoning!!! Overrated and overpriced!

I was extremely disappointed. It was our anniversary and we usually celebrate at Sullivan's but decided to try something different. Before we were finished with courses our server was placing his hands on our plates then asked were we done. Of course they ask me to cut my steak to see if it was cooked correctly and I assumed it was by using the dull knife that came out of the box but it actually was my steak. It was overcooked, rubbery, dry and so unsatisfying. My steak seems as if it was already cooked and just sitting. My husband steak was fine. The creamed spinach was extremely salty. Instead of ruining the night I just chunked it up and came to the conclusion of never returning. I definitely would not recommend as this was my first experience here it definitely was over hyped.

If I could rate one I would whoever was at the outside bar the space across from the casino checkpoint . Made me lose my appetite, the way she spoke to me. I would not recommend spending a dime on food or drinks due to who receives the tip

Unfortunately, I never got a chance to try the food. This venue called me 2 weeks before my reservation on NEW YEARS EVE and told me that “Corporate” decided to host a private event and close the restaurant! I’m sorry, you have been taking reservations for this night for weeks and now “Corporate” decides to close with little explanation. I’ll never make another reservation at this place.

We are new to the area, and my wife and I visited the steak house for a date night on 11/1 at 930p. The best thing about this place was the bread. Our server Christine was pleasant. We sat down in the corner 2 person table by the bar entrance from the restaurant. My wife eventually had to move her chair because a few of the unprofessional workers were squeezing in between the 2 tables as a short cut and bumping/kicking her chair instead of walking around the tables. Our table was close to an employee wellI station so we were able to hear all the personal conversations being had by employees. I ordered the flank steak and my wife ordered the short rib. Im not a fan normally of flank but I figured if a steak house can get this cut of meat right, everything else would be tasty. Not the case here. The meat was tough and less flavorful. The short rib was dry and lacked flavor also! Overall disappointing experience in a steak house listed as $$$$ on their website. Definitely will not be returning here!

I have to give this place a 1 star. As a frequent diner, I was treated poorly by Jeremy. Please read the email below, as I attached it to this review. I’m curious to know how management will address my concerns. Or, if it’ll be ignored again. Mr. Gavin, I, Allen ****, am a frequent diner at 18 Steakhouse L'Auberge Casino. I have some concerns I want to address to you about my experience last night. Yesterday, November 29th., I had a reservation at 9pm. Jeremy was my server. I was by myself last night. I specifically ordered an August Steak medium rare with no oils and no seasoning (salt and pepper). And I always request for my asparagus to be steam cooked with no oil or seasoning as well. When my steak did come to the table, it was cooked with oils and brown melted butter on top of it. It also had salt and pepper, too. I didn't eat it, as I told Jeremy that's not what I ordered. Jeremy came back to my table approximately 10 minutes later and sent the steak back to the kitchen for a recook. After the alleged recook, a guy brought the steak out to me approximately 30 seconds later. It was obvious it was brought slapped on the grill to cool down the brown butter. And it still had salt and pepper on it. And I noticed that after I cut the steak to look at the temperature (medium rare). After it was sent back to the kitchen, it came back half the size. I'm not sure if it was carved from the part that I cut, but it still was seasoned (pepper and salt). I asked Jeremy to let me speak to a manager. He told me 10 minutes later that no manager was on shift. Usually, I settled and eat the steak with salt and pepper with oils, though that's not what I ordered. As a paying customer and frequent diner, I should get what I paid for and not settled. I'm not sure if it's the waiter's fault or the kitchen's, but it's clearly a break-down in communication. I would like to know how these situations are addressed and handled. Please respond accordingly.
