This was my first Korean spot ever and let me tell you it did not disappoint . I had gotten the Mills 50 Hoagie with a side of fries to play it safe, and I enjoyed every bite. Now I’m more excited to try more things. I highly recommend ! Also they had a lot of really cool plants that are available. Definitely will be visiting this spot soon again. 10/10
My cousin and I stopped in after reading the reviews and they DID NOT LIE! This place is so incredible! The food was amazing - we got the koagie sandwich and the firecracker bulgogi. *chefs kiss* The portions were amazing for the price! The employees were so kind and the atmosphere was super cool with awesome lighting and live plants for sale! I can’t wait to go back!
This was absolutely delicious! I had the combo korean bbq bulgogi with purple rice, an egg roll, veggies with pork (option also for chicken available). My son had the wasabi beef bowl. The combo has a little kick to it so be prepared for some spice, but the wasabi beef bowl didn't have any spiciness. Very good size portions. Definitely left full and content. Parking was on the street at the meter. It took only and hour to order and be served our food. Expect to order at the counter and then seat yourself.
Such a delicious and authentic local spot. I was paralyzed by the menu selection, in a good way, because everything looked so appetizing! Food was so fresh and obviously cooked by people with a passion.
A down to earth, comfortable place to eat tasty, hearty and fresh food made by kind people. Comfortable atmosphere even eating as a solo diner, and the chicken bulgogi combo was balanced, filling and full of flavor and texture. Not sure about dietary or gluten free options but I’m sure they’d answer any questions you have. I would definitely come again!
Alright guys, this is it. That mythical hole in the wall that everyone romantically fantasizes about but can't find because it doesn't actually exist in reality because in reality places this delicious and unique and cozy close down before you have a chance to bring anyone. Or are so expensive no one would go anyway. But it's real, it's still here, and the prices are, somehow, reasonable.
After a disappointing experience at a different Korean spot in the area, I am SO glad I found Neighborhood Eatery. I only wish it was open later. Otherwise, perfection!
WOW! I just tried 2 of the Sammy’s. The kfc chicken sammy was bussin!! Forget about Chick-fil-A and Popeyes this is it right here! And the Philly!! The mf Philly is top tier!! Not your traditional Philly with cheez wiz, onions and peppers but their Korean take on it met all my expectations and then some. The food here got me thinking about my next visit already can’t wait to come back and try the rice dishes! Customer service was also apart of this spots vibe! Very nice and respectful staff.
I love this place. My faves are the Seoul Food Platter (pictured) and the Flamethrower. I usually start eating before I can take the picture because it smells so good!! There's a really sweet guy who's usually behind the half-wall beside the counter. He has a very friendly smile and was very patient with me trying to figure out what I want. Thank you!!! If you enjoy KPop, like I do, they're always playing some sweet hits, so you can jam while enjoying some really yummy food!
This Korean place is an awesome spot for anyone in the Orlando area to try out! Perfect for fast, carry out meals as well as a chill, fun date spot. And the food is really tasteful. I’m always left satisfied when I leave. Definitely a must-try for any foodies looking for a whole-in-the-wall restaurant or hidden gem in downtown Orlando
Stopped here real quick because of jury duty. Was not dissapointed at all. Seriously was wayyy better than I expected so I will definitely be coming back to try the rest of the menu. Update sept 2022. Ate here again with the wife and she loved it. I had a bbq chicken sandwich and it was delicious. It was delicious and I felt like I didn't get to enjoy it because it looked so delicious I ate it too quick to savor 😆. Good place still for a quick bite.
Friendly staff, good prices and amazing food! The pictures do not do this place justice, we were stuffed and couldn’t finish everything. We are so glad we came her on our trip to Orlando. If you’re on the fence, just go! Edit to add: he just finished it all, he didn’t want any of it to go to waste.
We stopped by this place on our way home from Orlando, and the food was spectacular! The owner was super friendly and a fast cook, even with our party of 16 arriving without notice. The pork bulgogi combo plate was one of the best meals I’ve ever eaten - I was thinking about it the entire ride home. If you go there, I highly recommend this dish. Their other dishes also looked amazing, and our entire party was super happy and very full. I will definitely visit this place again when I’m in Orlando. What's up GR, MR, CT, FF.
Our family loves this place. Our 5 yo child requests food from the “purple rice” place for years now. Birthdays and any chance she has to request a special meal. It is touching to see the whole family involved at this second generation Korean-American restaurant. Jon is so sweet, knows regular family order, will charge over the phone and run my order out to the car if I have my girls with me. They substitute chicken for tofu on the bulgogi.
Top notch establishment in downtown! First, impeccable, super clean place. Then you have the food... it's phenomenal, I recommend the bulgogi, spicy chicken bowl and the fried chicken sandwich. Best part of it all are the owners and staff. Well traveled kind people. Also note they have an excellent selection of sodas. I highly recommend this to you!
Went 2 days in a row!!! Day 1 had the flamethrower chicken bulgogi bowl which was absolutely amazing! (Not pictured) Day 2 had the Korean fried chicken sandwich, so yummy and crunchy! I highly recommend! And the best part they sell plants!!! I bought two cactus, makes me so happy. Staff was so nice, food great!! And did I mention they still pants!!
Today, on a chilly and overcast day in Orlando, I had the pleasure of dining at “The Neighborhood Eatery” in Downtown Orlando. I chose the Bibimbap served in a sizzling hot stone bowl, which arrived at the table still bubbling. The combination of fresh ingredients and the comforting warmth of the dish was perfect for the day’s weather. The cozy atmosphere and attentive service made the experience even more enjoyable. I highly recommend “The Neighborhood Eatery” to anyone seeking an authentic Korean culinary experience in Orlando. After eating, take a walk around the Lake Eola Park and enjoy the view!
Amazing food. Wife got the lrc sandwich and I got the pulled pork bowl. The food blew me away. You must eat here it's 🔥 fire They have great drink choices. I had the peach tea and it was amazing and paired well
The Chicken Bulgogi plate was delicious! I will definitely be coming back to try more food soon. There is a nice size seating area inside that was clean. The food came out quick which was also nice since I was on a lunch break.
Went to try out a restaurant and came home with plants. 😆 You wonder how? This unique Korean restaurant, "The Neighborhood Eatery" in Orlando, Florida, features plants for sale along its windows at reasonable prices. Upon entering, guests place their order, then take a seat, and the food is subsequently brought out. All the dishes we ordered were delicious. The restaurant's walls showcase a distinctive display of information about the Korean language, alphabet, and culture, making for an interesting dining experience. After purchasing a few plants, the owner, kindly provided tips on plant care, having personally cultivated the plants sold at the restaurant, which is family-owned and operated. The friendly demeanor is noteworthy, and this restaurant is highly recommended for those visiting Orlando, FL.
I love how it feels like home at this restaurant- very simple vibe with their indoor plants and homemade meals. They have a big menu and the food is good. We ordered a Katsu plate and a hamburger and they both are definitely must-tries. I absolutely love the purple rice (흑미밥) that came with the Katsu. So good! I would love to go back to try other meals too.
The food was absolutely amazing! The service was also extremely good. We were greeted and thanked by the cashier entering and leaving who took our order with a smile. It was a wonderful place and I highly recommend to anyone who wants to try Korean food. They have lots of options ranging from spicy to non spicy. The atmosphere is also really nice with lots of natural lighting and live plants that also are for sale so if you see one you like you could buy it. The portions are also really big and the price of the food is really reasonable.
Been having this Korean food kick lately and—-babe!? This is a place you wanna go to! Love it here! The food was fantastic! Thank you guys for all your help with recommendations. We came here for lunch so it started getting pretty busy but it still wasn’t bad! Like there were a lot of tables available for customers. It’s downtown Orlando though. Expect to pay for parking lol.
Amazing food! Very tasty, great atmosphere, and you can even buy plants there!
I usually wait to leave my review until I've finished eating.... But I just have to do this while the taste is still on my tongue. This was the absolute best find of my year!! I was wanting something new and different.. That's just what this is! I got The Seoul Food bowl and..... Just wow!!! Also added an egg roll to my order.... AMAZING!! I can't wait to go back and try more 💕💕💕 Five thumbs up 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽 Dew Approved UPDATE: it's now been three months since I first walked into this restaurant and I am absolutely obsessed!! I've tried just about everything on the menu (as you can see from my pictures) ... And EVERYTHING is amazing!! The guys that work there know me at this point 😂 please stop by.. it is WORTH IT!!
I frequent this area every weekend so I decided to stop by this place. The gentleman upfront was very kind and polite. I ended up getting the Katsu plate, which was very delicious and plentiful and extremely affordable. This meal plus a drink was less than 15 bucks. I ended up taking half of it home for leftovers. They also sell House plants so I ended up snagging a money tree for five bucks. Definitely will be putting this place into my rotation!
Update: ate everything on menu. There isn't a single item I don't absolutely love. I'm officially a regular and demand everyone give them a try. Highly recommend the wasa beef and corn nuggets. But honestly you could order anything and it's going to be fantastic. Old review: Food that feels like your friends cooked it for you. Delicious, hot, and fantastic portions with a friendly atmosphere. Definitely will be back. Looking forward to trying the whole menu.
I SCAPED the bowl CLEAN. Genuinely the best meal I’ve had in awhile. I got the pork bowl and I devoured it. Wish I could give them a 10/5 star review.
I love the family that runs this eatery. Their story, covered by the Orlando Sentinel, is posted on the wall along with a family photo. The Daddy smiled as he welcomed me and pointed out there are photos of the menu items on the wall. Their son manned the register and was super nice too, big smiles and chatting with my husband and asking his favorite Kdramas. He could tell my hubby wanted to talk. I think that’s why my husband ordered extra mandu, because the son was so nice to him! Mommy is pretty and she’s bought a lot of plants for the front windows. She has a sense of humor too, seen in the tongue-in-cheek signs (“Yes, I do need all these plants,” and the cat signs in the bathroom). Now for the food. It’s amazing!!! I had the bibimbap which came with the separate toppings that you mix yourself. The last time I had bibimbap this good was in SoCal. Here the bibimbap was a bit better because of the rice mixture base. I ordered their house-made kimchi on the side. It didn’t have sugar in it and it was well-seasoned. My husband said the mandu was “outstanding!” It was crispy on the outside and the filling tasted like ground pork, a bit of ginger, finely grated carrot, garlic and maybe sesame oil. It came with a sweet garlicky soy-based sauce. They had canned boba drinks in the fridge displayed near the register. My husband got the passion fruit apple drink with popping boba and he liked it. All in all highly recommended! A regular from the neighborhood came in just ahead of us and ordered for dine in. The son said to him, “You’re hungry tonight!” and the customer agreed; I guess they ordered more than they usually do. The customer ate the meal at the next table and we all enjoyed the colorful lights, plants and homey atmosphere of the dining area.

I’ve been coming here for years. They are hands down my favorite Korean restaurant. The atmosphere is so homie and friendly, the staff always has a smile on their faces, they absolutely make the best Bibimbap around.
So good! I ordered the Wasa beef bowl, tried the chicken bulgobi, and the kids had the chicken strip with fries. Everything was amazing! Perfectly cooked and came out very quickly. I would definitely come back!
Fantastic little spot downtown that uses quality ingredients & consistent cooking methods. There’s something for everyone whether it’s an appetizer, bulgogi plate, chicken sandwiches, wings or my personal favorite the flamethrower chicken bowl. The gentlemen at the front are always welcoming & you can order with one of them or do it at the kiosk. Bonus: they sell plants as well for a very reasonable price. The food is so very good, give them a try.

Came here for lunch on a weekday and I got the chicken bulgogi plate and Sweet Soy chicken wings. The flavor on the chicken bulgogi was good. It was a bit on the salty side for me, but if you eat it with the rice then it’s not a big deal. Also, the wings had a decent flavor to it considering they weren’t breaded. You get a lot of food for the price so I think it a good lunch spot if you’re in the area.
Despite the title, this is not in a neighborhood this is in the middle of a city where you have to pay parking and most of the time I would rather read the declaration of independence 5 times than try to find and pay for street parking. HOWEVER, since I saw the food on tiktok, I gave it a chance. Something inconvenient is when free parking starts at 6, the restaurant closes at 7, a bit annoying, but oh well. The guy at the counter and kitchen was very nice, and the bulgogi bowl and pulled pork bowl we got were both good. That said, we got fancy fries which were supposed to be "truffle and artisinal Italian cheeses." The artisinal period it was inspired by must be minimalism because I didn't see a single CHEESE on it, making me very disappointed in my choice. That said, I definitely might come back in the future to try the other options.
I got the bibimbop with chicken and it was great. All the vegetables were fresh and crisp. The plate comes with everything when you order, so you have to choose what vegetables to remove if you don't like any. They also put the gochujang sauce on the food and not on the side. Prices were a little high, but one bowl was enough for lunch for two people.
This the second korean restaurant I have visited since I moved to the USA..and I realized that both restaurant food/ dishes taste really good and what makes a difference is the service offered by the employees working at the moment you order or the one who is serving you at the table. And in this place the young man at the register looked so annoyed by my questions that he started pointing to the fridge beside him when I was asking what kind of drinks they have and when I asked for the type of dishes I was thinking of he also turned around the menu and pointed to the picture in the back. I guess it was easy for him to point out instead of talking to the person in front of him. Then at one moment he looked at the lady with a beautiful smile who was in the other corner with a face of disbelief. Then when he came to serve me he td me that I can take any drink from the fridge. I asked for water, surely enough he pointed to the fridge for me to go and get it. While eating there was a man working too who came around and smile to me. It's a petty that this young man did not have the same warming gesture and manners than his olders. Getting out of the restaurant the young man said to me 'thank you and have a good night'...I just raised my hand with a peace ✌️ symbol without turning around and left. I guess that is what he likes more when people leave.
So, we love this place. The food is phenomenal…however, there’s one employee who works here that always seems miserable…at least when we’re here. It seems like he easily gets irritated when a customer orders. I always feel like we have to walk on egg shells when we’re ordering. With that said, we still love the food and the restaurant in general! Definitely will continue to eat here….Just hope that one employee is okay.
I have not explored the entire menu. It's decent quick service lunch. I will say it's fresh to order- that's my favorite part. Portions can be very good for money then other times lacking; likely depends on what you order. It's a convenient.

I ordered my food from Doordash, I am very disappointed with the quality of food I received considering that this place has stellar reviews. The food was horrible in my opinion. I had Korean food before & I refused to believe this place is authentic. Ordered the "Wasa Beef Bowl" don't know what type of rice they used, but it didn't taste great and wasn't cooked properly. The bowl was full of these ghastly caramelize onions which ruin the flavor of this bibimbap & that's all I kept tasting. The kimchi wasn't even fresh, how can u messed up the kimchi, bro! The food smelled horrendous, the only thing I ate was the egg & everything else went straight to the trash. Never Again! If you're looking for awesome Korean Food my suggestions are Bulgogi House, Lotte Plaza Market & BaBbi BaBbi Korean Kitchen. You won't be disappointed!
