The Station feels both classy and relaxed at the same time. I like how the historic train-station elements are worked into the design, and I especially love the live music—it adds so much to the overall vibe.
We used to come here when it was Paddy’s. I was a little worried about the transition to The Station, but I must say that I’m impressed! The space itself being an old train station and cars is so charming and adds so much character, and I like what the new ownership has done with the place. We went on a Tuesday, and the main room was fairly busy and featured a live band. But if you don’t go for the music, it’s still a great time as the food was excellent and the service top notch! Tori took great care of us, and all our food was delicious, including the shrimp cocktail, huge wedge salad that was fresh and flavorful, and the short rib which was succulent and comforting. The prices were decent too (apart from the $11 draft beer, that’s pretty steep for a brew). I’m looking forward to returning to try more of their menu. If the owners see this, please start a jazz night! You have the perfect venue for it. Swanky and fun! I would also love to see some swing, maybe with dancing, or big band style music too. Keep up the good work!
1st time here. This place rocks!!! Apparently, they have live music every weekend. "Duct Tape" band was awesome, the small Irish band (after Duct Tape) in the bar area was a lot of fun, headed out as the 3rd band was setting up. Very fun atmosphere. Will definitely go there again. (Photos taken a week after during slow time).
Awesome atmosphere, great food and drinks. The old-time pictures and memorabilia on the walls is really good. Now offering bingo once a month or so. Dancing and bands also.
My first time here and I already love this place!! I've already decided that my birthday party will take place here, I loved it so much! The food was phenomenal, the staff was terrific and management has it all together 💚☘️🇮🇪 Can't wait to come back!! P.s- I left that love note because it's well deserved 🥂
I'm a local and I enjoy coming to Patty's on Wednesday nights for the line dancing and Pasta Special that the chef offers is amazing and delicious 😋 !! 5* A great group of people always are their dancing having a great time! Sara the bartender is outstanding in service and hospitality. Great plack to kick up your boots with the locals and have a great time!
Clean! Friendly staff and good people and great music. Nice to feel a little normal during this crazy thing called life. They also have speed dating and karaoke on Wednesday's
Paddy's is so fun and such a novelty location! It's literally on the train tracks and you are dancing inside a rail car. How different and unique is that?! When the trains go by, you can seriously "feel" it beyond the great music! Great venue, reasonable drinks and great entertainment. I saw the band "Rhythm Society" perform and everyone was on their feet dancing and singing along with the GORGEOUS Julie singing. The band is so engaged and extremely professional, has a wide variety of a musical repertoire, (from the 70's to top 40), and we all had a ball! The GPS location off Google screwed me up getting there, so do your 'Thomas Guide' beforehand! 🤣😂 Highly recommend and enjoyed this band! Paddy's please hire this band for residency, immediately! 🎶 🎸 🤘
Great food, live music and service is also very good, staff is friendly, attentive and the fish and chips were excellent!! They have a nice atmosphere and wide variety of entertaining.
The owner is super nice and accommodating. We thought the bar was going to be full. However he legitimately ran after us to let us know there was room and was so sweet and kind about it. The food was very good, the staff are very attentive and the atmosphere is great. This is a must if you take the train into San Juan Capistrano!
such a unique experience. So awesome right on the tracks. Food was great. The service was great. I’ve already been back twice so I’ve now been there a total of three times and they have not let me down.
This place amazed me. The flavor of the food was enhanced by the atmosphere. I could have stayed there all day. This is the perfect spot to bring family and friends. You can make an entire day out this location if you want. Tons to eat, tons to shop, and the kids will love it, to. I highly recommend The Station if you bored of the same old weekend routine. And while you're there, check out the meet market there. It had some of the best looking wagyu meat and their cheese selection is off the charts. But don't take my word for you. You need to experience this paradise for yourself. I promise you will not be disappointed.
The flat bread with cauliflower crust is AMAZING... Probably one of the best i've ever had. We also had the truffle fries and they were so yummy! We will definitely be back! Great customer service as well!
A delicous restaurant at the train station. (This building used to be the train station.). It's trackside location is a great place to train watch for Metrolink and Amtrak. The menu is full of interesting and unique dishes that scream "order me." Flavors are well balanced. Highlights from our meal: - Fig and mushroom flatbread - the bacon wrapped dates - the unique house made ketchup that turned the already delicious fries into something that couldn't be put down. Service is friendly and helpful. Prices are a little high, but worth it for the quality. Special thanks to the gentleman working in the adjoining parking lot. He reccomended Trevor's immediately and made it clear that the right choice. If he's not getting a commission for the referral, he should!
Great vibes both on the patio and inside - we got seated rather quickly at a hightop on Saturday night, party of 2. Food was familiar but with a twist. Easy parking in the paid parking structure. In an energetic area and a good option if you’re entertaining guests. Would go back again and try more items off the menu.
First timer to Trevor's at the Tracks. We sat in the patio to hear the live music which was wonderful. Patio has retrackable covers and umbrellas to block direct sunlight. We had a cab bottle from their CA wine list. I was unfamiliar with any labels but tastes were offered and tried two and chose one. Our entrees were the brussel sprout starter and the grilled salmon with veg chopped hash and cauliflower puree. Both were Amazing and the cab went surprisingly well with flavors. We had the starter served with the entree to give flavor balance, it worked! Service was efficient and wine glasses were refilled by service when observed low. We met Trevor the owner just by hapchance not that we knew him but recognized him from restaurant's good reputation. He is a humble owner and was working doing meanial staff jobs like sweeping and moving umbrellas. No arrogance here. Perfectly comfortable dining experience and highly recommended! *****
Brought my dad on a walk around the area, I've been here before with my friend and brought him the next day. He liked the live music and we went here almost everyday for the vibes, food wasn't too bad- selectively I'd go for the flatbread (really liked the chicken pesto&bbq chicken) and service was great. Dad labs the taco beer 3 days in a row! So this is our go to now Everytime he comes back to Cali, my parents likes this place. Worth the buck for the atmosphere and overall experience.
The food was absolutely amazing here! We tried the karate chip chicken salad and a chicken sandwich, along with the tropical cobbler for desserts. There was a moderate to long wait probably because it was a Labor Day weekend, but it was absolutely worth it! They were even kind enough to serve a patty for our dog! Adding to the ambiance was the live music that just made the experience even better. We'll certainly be visiting this place again!
Such a quaint area and ambiance. I recommend it as a cool experience to all. The flatbread I had was yummy. My friend has the short rib Bahn mi. I had the spicy Sicilian flatbread and it was great, the only comment I have is that one side of it was darkened crispy crust and the other side was perfectly cooked. Other than that it was a great experience.
It's an awesome old train station that has been turned into a beautiful restaurant. Great outdoor and indoor seating. They have love entertainment too in the patio. The Ahi tuna nachos were amazing. Also just across the train tracks is the oldest neighborhood in California, with great art stores. Great place to walk after a great meal.
Trevor’s at the Tracks is a true gem in the heart of San Juan Capistrano. The location is unbeatable—set right next to the train station, making it a perfect spot for people watching and soaking in the charming energy of the town. We sat outside on the patio and enjoyed watching the trains roll in and out while people came and went. It added a lively, nostalgic atmosphere to our meal. We ordered the Mac & Cheese with Chicken Parmesan and the Spicy Pasta. Both dishes were absolutely delicious. The Mac & Cheese is rich and decadent—definitely a comfort food indulgence, and more than my mom could finish. The Spicy Pasta brought the perfect amount of heat without being overwhelming. Loved the fresh mushrooms, tomatoes and spinach in the dish. The service was top-notch. Friendly, attentive staff made us feel welcome from the moment we sat down. Trevor’s is clearly set up to accommodate everything from casual lunches to larger gatherings, and the ambiance is versatile enough for any occasion. Whether you're a local or just visiting San Juan Capistrano, Trevor’s at the Tracks is a must-visit spot.
This is a great place to chill with live music, good drinks and excellent food. The only (and not major) issue with the ambiance is the closeness of the tables on the patio. If you are next to a loud group - like some who don’t live here and ride the train from Santa Ana etc - it can be noisy. The food is actually outstanding. See attached pics.
Trevor’s on the Tracks is a must! Steps from the Amtrak stop in San Juan Capistrano. Beautiful setting! Spacious restaurant, excellent ambiance, and cuisine. Many food / drink options & fresh produce. We even had the pleasure of meeting Trevor - nice guy! Looking forward to our next visit. Thanks for a great outing with friends. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
The waiter was friendly and very very accommodating. We had a group of five couples and he allowed us each to have separate checks! Wow! I had a crispy chicken sandwich which was very good and the fries as well. My wife had a Seoul bowl which was even better! The setting right next to the tracks was very nice and it was high energy place on a beautiful sunny Saturday!
I chose this restaurant due to its proximity to downtown, situated just off the main street. The ambiance, both indoors and outdoors, was exceptionally warm and welcoming. The patio featured outdoor heaters for comfort during meals, complemented by live entertainment that enhanced the experience without being overwhelming. Inside, we were seated in high-backed chairs by the window, allowing us to observe the trains arriving and departing. The service was outstanding, with the staff promptly attending to our needs. The food was exquisite, with generous portions that were satisfying without leading to waste. They offered wine samples to help us select the perfect pairing for our meal. We decided to order the Mac-n-cheese to take with us for a late-night snack after the concert, which proved to be an excellent choice to share. The overall atmosphere was friendly and courteous. I would highly recommend this establishment and eagerly anticipate my next visit.

Visited for lunch mid-week, early Jan 2022 with my wife, daughter and one year old granddaughter. Friendly staff, good food, decent beer and trains, what more do you need?
We sat on the patio and had a very nice dinner. The service was top notch (Ruben), the food was very good, and the wine spectacular (Buena Vista Cabernet). We will definitely return soon.
My family and I had a great at the Station! We were celebrating my son and niece's graduation. We made a reservation for 11 at 7:30. Getting out of the parking lot after the graduation was a nightmare. While I arrive on time, the rest of the party arrived 30 -45 minutes later. The staff was so accommodating and patient with us. Location was perfect since it was 10 minutes from the high school. Food and service was great! Very chill atmosphere. My family shot a little pool before dinner arrived. Overall, would recommend to friends and family.
Absolutely had to stop by Paddy's Pub to get a drink. My friend was not a fan of the service but I thought it was pretty normal. Lots of cool stuff to explore in this space (you might even get lost). Best part of the pub is that you can eat and drink in a train car. It's pretty awesome! Sadly we didn't get to see Frank or the rest of the gang.
We came here during the annual Swallow Festival, so there was a special menu for the day. I got a burger, and my boyfriend got fish and chips. The food was great! Our server offered us ranch, and it was delicious with the fries! House made! Little off that the fish seemed to be one big fillet. We saw customers get the one big fillet too. Not sure if that’s worth the $19 it cost. I feel like 3 fillets per order is standard. We loved getting to eat in the train car. Very cool! Most folks were at the bar so we had the train to ourselves most of our visit. Our server, Autumn, was fantastic! She was attentive, had great suggestions, and even brought me a free beer because the tap blew on the kind I ordered so it was a bit foamy. She didn’t need to do that, but she went the extra mile to give us a great experience. I’m detracting a star for the other staff. When we came in, there was no one at the entrance to seat us. Several employees walked past us and ignored us. We eventually had to flag one down to be seated, and they told us we could sit wherever we wanted. If it’s self-seating, put up a sign. While we were eating, an employee and boss were having a discussion about work, hours, pay, etc. in the train car with us, which seemed unprofessional. Surely there’s someplace to have those kind of talks that isn’t within earshot of customers. We heard a different server at a different table being asked questions about what kind of beer they had and the ingredients of the food, and she responded “I don’t know, I don’t work here.” So maybe she was just helping out for the day, but she should at least offer to go ask someone for the answers. I’m glad our server was great, because I would have been frustrated with the girl who doesn’t work there and was unwilling to be helpful. Clean bathrooms. No one but us wearing masks, if that’s a concern.
This place is a great spot for a change of scenery. Trains stop and people board, and it’s quite entertaining to watch. The live music performances are really good too. The people here are genuine and friendly, and the servers are okay. It’s not a super crowded place, so it’s a nice break from the hustle and bustle.
1/4/26: Came back the second time with some friends. 1. Pear Favor cocktail: 4/5 - great, well balanced with flavors, sweetness and citrusy. I would prefer some spicy. 2. Cob Salad: 3.5/5 - good but lacked of flavors. The dressing was so bland, needs acidity, salt and pepper. Otherwise, it would be terrific. 3. Burger: 3.5/5 - good but I missed the umami, lacked of the charred smoky flavor. 4. Thai curry dish: 2.5/5 - ok, too sour and abit salty. The acidity overpowered everything else. The service was good.
It was raining in the bar so we got a table with a view of the tracks. Great waitress - excellent food - have to go back for the all in-house desserts but we were too full - huge portions. Excellent wine list. Pricy for lunch. Obviously a lot of tourists - went on a Friday in the rain - it may be quieter Mon-Thurs when it’s not a holiday week.
First visit, this is a great, very different location, with a train stopping literally next door. The “Pretty Bird Chicken Sandwich” ($24) was very good, served with very good fries and spicy ketchup. The food was served hot, in a very reasonable time. The “English Sticky Toffee Pudding Cake ($14), was just OK. I’ve had this dessert in England and this was a poor try at it, although it did taste OK. The service was good, paid city parking lot ($2 / hr), but the total experience was quite dear, not someplace to visit regularly. Recommended.
We visited Trevor at the Tracks to celebrate our anniversary, and the setting couldn’t have been better. The restaurant is located in a beautifully restored 1894 railway depot, with a cozy indoor-outdoor vibe that adds so much character. We started with the Brussels sprouts which were crispy, flavorful, and definitely a must-try. The pasta was okay, but the English Sticky Toffee Pudding Cake stole the show. Moist, rich, and perfectly paired with the ice cream. It was unexpectedly amazing. I’d go back just for that. One disappointment: my husband had spoken to the hostess beforehand, asking if they could surprise me with a crème brûlée and a candle for our anniversary. She said they typically only do that for birthdays but agreed to do something special. Unfortunately, nothing happened. Our server handed us the regular dessert menu and mentioned crème brûlée wasn’t available due to their rotating dessert menu. While we understand things happen, it was a bit disheartening that the message didn’t get passed along. That said, we still enjoyed, and the dessert made up for it. A little more communication would’ve made it perfect.

It's hard to know if this place is a fine dining establishment (decor), pub (menu), honky-tonk (loud band in the dining room), or sports bar. The band had a big "merch" table in the dining room with the white tablecloths and candles. 🤔🤣 We sat in the dining room while the band was setting up (fine dining?). There appeared to be a large party of "groupies" so we didn't get much attention. We ordered a burger and the short ribs, plus an artichoke appetizer. All was fairly good, but again...pub, or fine dining? I asked about the horseradish sauce for the short ribs, but the server was not informed enough about its ingredients. Based on food alone, it was fine - if you want pub food. But if this place were on Restaurant Impossible, I can pretty much predict what Chef Robert Irvine would say!
bands can be fun, the service isn't that great, the layout of the bar isn't right, weird vibe going on with this place, funner places in town

Way over priced for the quality of food. It is very bland and unremarkable. I wouldn't eat here again.

Bartenders are rude, they profile people- meaning on the way you look, very noisy, service is not professional and manager was no help. Go somewhere else for better service!!!

Waitress Lily ? Wow, we found her completely inappropriate, ..after terrible service , messing up our drink orders SEVERAL times, ..upon paying the bill she yells out to our entire table, that her tip was only 10%, ..as she stood there waving her $20 tip then THREW IT BACK @ our table ..our bill was $120 , we believe tip should be based on SERVICE, not the bill. We ended up giving her $30 tip to make her happy, for HORRIBLE service .. ABSOLUTELY INAPPROPRIATE of her demanding a larger tip!! WE WONT BE BACK.
Had the sliders of the three of them only one l could taste any meat. They only really had fried onions on them. For the price the would put some meat on them.
I brought my wife and three other women to Trevor's for lunch on Saturday afternoon. We had one party in a wheelchair. We sat in a pretty cramped and loud environment in the fireplace room. I asked the waitress if she would bring my wife and me a separate check. She said "I get it I've been doing this 20 years." I ordered the nacho ahi, which I would not order again and my wife ordered a bowl of clam chowder soup, which was very good. After dinner, our waitress brought my wife and me separate checks? That was no problem, I just paid them both. $28.02 for the ahi and chips, $15.09 for the clam chowder soup. So my bill was $43.11. I left both checks for her with $60 cash. The waitress brought back change or credit card receipts for two of the other guests but but never brought back my change. I guess she thought that the extra $16.89 was a tip. After waiting 15 minutes for her to bring me change I asked for the waitress. I asked her for my change. She brought it back and counted it on the table in front of all the other guests. Made me feel kind of cheesy having to ask for my change. My suggestion is to have your waitresses simply ask if the patron would like their change. Then the clients don't have to ask for their change. A lot of people would have probably been too embarrassed to do so. I didn't feel like her service was worth $16.80 but I left her 20% anyway, being that waitressing is a tough job.
