So many choices, take a moment before stepping into the line to gander at the vast choices on the menu by the door. Burgers, sandwiches, salads, shakes, fries, onion rings… There’s something for everyone in your party here. Nice indoor seating or partake in your delicious choices on the patio dining area. Great service and the prices aren’t fast food cheap, but either is the quality of the food… So, you get what you pay for.

This was another great local place to eat. They had a very delicious veggie burger and they're very good about customizations with bread type and cheese type. The Mac n cheese was good as well. Highly recommend stopping in.

Food and service are great! They have vegetarian options. The French fries are perfect. Crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside.

Very good food. Great service all around. They do bring the food to your table and clean afterwards, so leave tip if you'd like. I ordered the ABC burger and a regular order of chili-cheese fries. The bun for the burger was excellent and the patty was thick. I requested they cook the patty medium, and they did. The regular sized chili cheese fries is honestly big enough for two regular people to share; I finished. Lunch gets really crowded, so try to get there a little early, but they are fairly quick. They do get a lot of to-go orders and there's more than enough seats either inside or an outdoor patio. My only nit-pick is that they don't offer Dr Pepper, but that's a personal preference.

Wow...where to start. I came to Southern California to visit my daughter and we drove to Dana point for the day. Wow is it beautiful here. At lunch we were looking for a place to eat and I suggested this place because of the reviews. I am so glad we ate here. I had the brisket sandwich 12.50. Does mot come with fries or anything you must order separately. So we shared onion rings and sweet potato fries. My daughter ordered the Chicken club 12.00. The brisket sandwich was so good. I would have liked more slaw. Other pictures it was loaded...but mine barely had any. The brisket was tender and wonderful. I loved the sandwich all together. I did put some onion rings on my sandwich. I would certainly order this again. The onion rings were wonderful. They were beer battered and perfectly cooked. The sweet potato fries...amazing. My daughter loved her chicken sandwich. I cannot write about that since I did not try it. But she said it was very good and would order again.

Thank you Elizabeth for this delicious cuisine, the onion stack I got for my lunch. I replaced the beef with grilled chicken as recommended and it was incredible. I love the atmosphere it’s very friendly and cheerful, and everything looks clean especially the bathrooms (clean bathrooms are quite a rare sight ).

Solid burger spot in SJC. The burger patties are a medium thickness, about halfway between a thin/smash patty and a steakhouse/gourmet burger. I ordered the Stand Burger medium-rare and they were pretty spot on in cooking it to my desired doneness. Good fries and plenty of dipping sauces. Prices across the menu seem fair considering quality and portion sizes.

WOW! Finally a casual sit down restaurant with GOOD food and GOOD customer service. We were immediately greeted and welcomed by staff. Jordan and other staff members came by as we were eating and checked in if we needed anything else. Luckily we were all good. Very nice of them to check in and see if we needed anything else. They have a variety of options to choose from: burgers, hotdogs, salads, fries and shakes. I visited with family and everyone only had good things to say. No complaints here. Our burgers and fries were all tasty with no issues. I would recommend sharing fries. The small size was actually pretty big. Burger portions were perfect, not too small and not too big. I read the Funny Guy’s review and I had a totally different experience. Maybe he should change his name to Not So Funny Guy… lol. Good thing I didn’t see his review until after my experience.

Great non-fast food! Delicious unique menu and reasonably priced! I had the Salmon Miso Bowl and my wife had the Curry Chicken Sandwich. Both were fantastic!

The French onion soup burger was amazing. The toasted bun with the parmesan gave it some good kind of sticky crunch. Delicious au jus with tons of translucent onions in there to scoop up with the burger. Delicious damn.

Fantastic food! The menu is extensive and covers all the basics. I've had a turkey burger, ahi fish sandwich and my favorite the chicken club. The protein is always fresh and plenty. The bun is terrific as is the aoli sauce on the club. They have a good blueberry lemonade to go along with the meal. They offer fries but I've always been content with the sandwich so can't comment on the fries. Someone next to me had a side of broccolini which looked really good so I think I'll have that next time. I've been coming once a week for a couple months and haven't had a bad meal.

I love The Stand at San Juan Capistrano. It is our go to spot for food with the kids. Something healthy and delicious for every taste bud. You have to try the delicious homemade Blueberry Lemonade. My daughter and I love it. It is just the right amount of tart and sweetness.

I used to live in San Diego and moved to AK. I’m here at Dana point for work purposes. This place has been my go to. You can say what you want about in and out chick fillet or any other place. This place takes the cake. I have tried their salads and burgers and it never disappoints. The service is on point. And the atmosphere is great. Keep it up.

Catering Orders: Faith and Deanna provided great service in making both of my catering orders go smoothly and error-free. They did a great job. The food from the SJC store was very tasty and well prepared through out. The deliveries went smoothly. Great experience - I will order, again.

There were dishes on many of the tables and all the surfaces were sticky. The bathrooms remind me of a public restroom at the beach pretty sad, they even had one of those push down faucets that pop back up after a short period of time. If I was in town I would probably give it another shot because the food was good but I don't know if I would have tried it for the first time if I checked out the dining room and bathroom first.

She let me know about the sauces and encourage me to get a couple extra, which I love because they’re also free. Sweet potato wafflefries are elite so I was a happy camper. Tons of options and the ability to customize. I was checked on during my meal to see how I enjoyed the sauces. It’s a small gesture but made my experience even better.

One of my favorite casual family restaurants to go to with the kids. It's nice and clean. The food is good and I like that there are salad options and always an interesting veggie appetizer like fried brussel sprouts. There's plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. They have a decent rewards program as well.

First visit, I would have considered a 4.5 rating, but was disappointed with the chili fries. I had the “build your own burger”, good beef, very good pickled red onions and jalapeño aioli. The chili on the fries was just OK, but the actual fries were limp. Crispy would have been better since it had chili on them. Good location, easy parking and clean restroom. Recommended.

Ordered through DoorDash and it was OK — most of our burgers were wet and soggy by the time we got them. We know that’s not on the restaurant but just goes to show, this food is best, fresh!! Sadly we weren’t given the extra sauces we asked for but willing to give this place another try but in person :)

I’ve been to several Stand restaurants and have always had a great experience but this one was underwhelming.. 2 other families seated with food and my wait was 20 minutes for two sandwiches. Iv requested no grilled onions but they d forgot to punch that in… sweet potato fries were cold.. no lemon slices for water.. not super clean.. oh I forgot the 6.50 small chocolate milkshake was great.. too long to wait.. they were filling pick up orders while we waited.. off my list to return..$50 dollars wasted

I had an extremely disturbing experience here while picking up a DoorDash order. The order was already sitting on the pickup counter and clearly ready. Instead of simply handing it to me, the male employee at the register started making dismissive gestures with his hands, literally shooing me away like a dog. I am a delivery driver doing my job, not someone to be treated like that. For about 5 minutes he kept doing this while smirking. When I asked why he wouldn’t just give me the order, he replied sarcastically, “Patience, patience,” while smiling and laughing. He wasn’t busy with anything. Then he slowly walked over to the order, picked it up, and stood there holding it in his hands for another several minutes, intentionally refusing to give it to me. This behavior was disrespectful, unprofessional, and felt like deliberate harassment toward a delivery driver. There was absolutely no reason for this treatment. Management seriously needs to address this employee’s behavior. Delivery drivers are part of your business operations and deserve basic respect. Experiences like this make drivers avoid returning to places like this.
