Opiniones de Bourbon & Branch New York
I think the atmosphere here was my favorite. It's absolutely beautiful. A steep up and away to make a quiet spot to do and have a nice drink and a bite to eat. Very good service and great food. Definitely coming back on my next visit.
We popped into this bar hoping to grab a quick bite and a drink before a concert—and we’re so glad we did! The food was incredible, with perfectly balanced flavors. The veggie burger was easily one of the best we’ve ever had. The turkey burger was the juiciest we’ve ever had and had the perfect combination of toppings, with just the right mixture of spicy and sweet. The drinks were top-notch, and the service was friendly and attentive. What really impressed us, though, was overhearing a manager speak with the staff—there was a clear sense of mutual respect and professionalism. Midtown might not be known for its culinary scene, but this spot is a true standout. We’ll definitely be coming back!
Great place for after work Happy Hour. Food is excellent. Great selection of bourbon (hence the name). Sometimes a bit noisy with after work crowd. Try to arrive by 4:30-5pm. Awesome bartenders.
My first time here and I was so impressed! Quality food and drinks, plus the staff was amazing. Everyone was so friendly. Bourbon and Branch was definitely a great choice before heading to a show at Madison Square Garden.
Great bar just across from Madison Square Garden. Reasonable choice in happy hour - fab margaritas. The spicy one is very spicy. Ended up eating here 3 nights as it was convenient, but mainly because it was a great place. Really enjoyed all meals. The flatbread was delicious. Good atmosphere though when busy acoustics make it quite noisy. Bar stuff were really lovely too friendly and welcoming. Totally recommended.
Mumbai (India) Jai Maharashtra you have to go to this person > The bartender Mr. Andres . He is a very gentle man who help me to out to find me the nex bar uptp 4.00am morning. When you go to BOURBON&BARNCH you need your bartender Mr. ANDRES your the man.
A wonderful experience! Started with the friendly hostess that took us to our table. Next we got our waitress, a beautiful latina girl who was A-mazing! I really enjoyed the musical selection and make sure to thank the DJ. Now... the food was the cherry on the pie! We got the crispy chicken sándwich, the pulled pork tacos and a rice ball with a sauce that was a poem!!!🥰 I'll be coming back to this place more often!!!
WOW! We absolutely loved this place. We recommend for anytime you are in the area or have an event at MSG. We will definitely be visiting again. It’s a quick and easy 5 minute walk from Penn Station. Our bourbon cocktails were delicious along with our burgers. My boyfriend got the Bacon & Fig Jam burger and said it was the best burger he’s had in a long time. I got the French Onion Soup burger and thankfully for the awesome staff, I was able to swap the meat for a turkey burger instead. I didn’t even get a full picture of it, it was so delicious and even came with a small bowl of french onion soup that I used for dunking. Bourbon & Branch is a must!!
Service was top notch! Our entire group enjoyed their food choices. Go with the truffle fries. And the drinks were fabulous. Expresso Martini was among the best I've had anywhere!
1/27/26 Visited for lunch with coworkers we made a reservation with Resy for four people, but there was no one in the front when we got their so they canceled my reservation so when we there ee just grabbed a table. The waitress was very good. The service was a little slow and the place wasn’t even full.
Since I really like their other restaurant Juniper a few blocks away, I figured I would give this place a shot, being that they just opened up a couple of weeks ago. Even though I sorely miss the Hooter's restaurant that was previously here, I am glad about this newest addition to the midtown area. As soon as you walk in, you can see this place has a really great vibe. My server Erika was friendly and attentive, and everything I ordered came out fast and delicious. I ordered the Lamb Chops, and they were perfectly cooked and flavorful. My Salted Watermelon Paloma cocktail also really hit the spot as well. I wish this restaurant the best of luck, and I will most certainly stop in again in the future since I work right in the area.
Great meal with good service for a Sunday lunch time. The price was moderate. Not a lot of background noise as it is a converted house, so there's separation into smaller, more cozy areas.
We had an exceptional dining experience here! Our server was Rockstar and he was nothing short of an attentive 5 star server. He was knowledgeable about the menu and recommended two delicious burgers to us, we ordered both and my husband and I split them. We did the bourbon bacon jam and the French onion burger and both were cooked to perfection and seasoned well. I had a side salad with their vinaigrette dressing, it was light, cold, and just what I was looking for. The atmosphere is quiet and cozy, it was the perfect place to end our day in the city! I can’t recommend this place enough!
The food was okay—not bad, but nothing that really stood out. However, the service was truly great. My bartender Claudia was incredibly attentive, friendly, and made the experience much better. Honestly, I’d only come back because of the excellent service at the bar.
When you walk in, the vibes were great. The music, the colors, seating, lighting, all of it. The cocktails were great, especially the Violet Muse. Highly recommend coming!!!
Went here for a quick brunch after some light shopping and the food here hit the spot! If you’re looking for a reasonable meal in the city in a cozy ambiance then this is the place. But if you’re also looking to avoid the crowd, I’ll say between 12 to 2 drop in for dining. After that, it begins to fill up. Will definitely go back to try some more entrees though.
Great place to stop in for a bite before an event at the garden. Staff was polite and attentive. Food was delicious and wait time was minimal. Prices were very reasonable also. Highly recommended.
This is about to become one of my go-to spots near Penn Station. It's super sleek and modern inside. A bit noisy but definitely a bustling atmosphere. Upstairs dining was really nice. Service was superb and all employees were friendly. Food and drinks were delicious and didn't take too long. But most importantly - you CANNOT beat the proximity to Penn Station / Madison Square Garden.
A random lunch stop. Nice bourbon, rye and scotch selection. I went simple with Old Forrester Signature. My veggie tacos were awesome, just a touch of heat. Veggie burger was homemade. Other stuff was equally awesome. Nice vibe, excellent service, prices were fair. Would stop here again.
We Had such a great time with my friend! The vibe was awesome, but the real stars were Andres and Rosalia behind the bar. Their cocktails were seriously next level—so good and made with a lot of care. They’re super friendly and really know their stuff. If you’re looking for a place with great drinks and great people, this is it!
We ate at Bourbon & Branch twice in 2 weeks. We saw Sebastian Maniscalco show at MSG and then this weekend we saw Jelly Roll. We had dinner and drinks both times and everything was great! This weekend I had booked a reservation online and when we arrived at the restaurant the staff switched our table to over look MSG! Which was really cool! The sliders were my favorite, pictured below. I was having a hard time selecting a drink since I tend to like fruity drinks so I tried one I thought I would like. Funny enough I ended up drinking my boyfriend’s makers old fashioned.. lol this is shocking because usually those drinks are too strong for me but this one was different. It was soo smooth and balanced. I even ordered it again the second time we came back! I highly recommend this restaurant if you’re near MSG (2 min walk if that) and the staff were great and very kind.
What a fantastic spot to start your NYC experience after leaving the island. The food and drinks were super tasty and the service was on point! I really enjoyed the vibe and look of the place (not the kind you’re accustomed to seeing on average when going out for brunch). This restaurant was chic and comfortable. It felt elegant and made for an attractive experience after an hour traveling the LIRR. Plus the food was YUM! Our waiter was all smiles and helpful. Anyway, I highly recommend them. Give them a go!
Came here after an event at MSG. It’s right on the corner. It has a great vibe they played my kind of music. Lots of people came here after the event. The attention was quick. You could get a table or stand around the bar. They had enough servers to attend to the crowd that came in. The tacos were flavorful. My drink was refreshing. They have a bourbon menu upon request. My husband chose one to try. This is a great spot to hang out
Great food, nice attentive servers. The short rib and eggs is great, the chicken and waffles is a impressive and filling dish. The churro French toast is great for a sweet tooth. The bananarama drink is just ok... I was hoping for creamy but it was just a hard drink. I really liked the bellini. Brunch ends at 3! Get there with plenty of time to enjoy two hours of bottomless drinks.
Decided to stop in here for a drink and small bites before catching a game last week and I must say I will definitely be visiting again! Bourbon and Branch is so close to MSG and also had an amazing happy hour menu. Highly recommend the wings and truffle fries, so delicious! The service was also great. Looking forward to visiting again for dinner.
I had a great time and I enjoyed the music. Please have DJ Cyrus back. Thanks. Much Love. Much Respect. I also helped Them seat a table for 6 people Thanksgiving Week two days before Thursday Thanksgiving for a family that was traveling and wanted to eat together when no other space was available. These are the photos. Cheers Guys. Thank You. This is the Guy Who helped Me place this message. 33rd Street and 7th Avenue Manhattan NY. ☺️
Came with a group of 5 and we all had delicious meals. The short rib grilled cheese was amazing!! I also recommend the truffle fries. The happy hour menu is half off, but only for a few cocktails. We had a reservation but we’re running a little late, thankfully they were able to hold our table for 15 extra minutes. Our server was also very accommodating. The restaurant is just a short walk from MSG and Penn Station.
Great place for family and friends. I attended with a group of 7. Everyone including the kids enjoyed their meal. The kids ate the calamari appetizer before I can try it..(I think they thought it was onion rings). 😅 I ordered the branzino and red snapper ceviche with a Cabernet Sauvignon. Excellent combo! I would revisit!
First, staff is friendly and accommodating. Cocktails are on point, especially their take on an old fashioned. Definitely grab a burger, excellent and huge. Their take on a blue cheese burger wit onion rings was enormous and fabulous and the B&B did not disappoint. Great spot.
If you’re early for your event at Madison Square Garden or just looking for a great date-night spot nearby, Bourbon and Branch is the place to be. The vibe is awesome — two floors, stylish décor, and just the right energy before a big show. The bartenders and staff are top-notch, super friendly, and know how to make a great cocktail. We had the burger and the risotto bowl with salad, and everything was perfect — flavorful, fresh, and hit the spot before our concert. Highly recommend stopping in here before or after any MSG event. Great drinks, great food, and great people!
My aunt and I were in NYC from out town for an event. After it was over, we were having a hard time finding somewhere to sit and have dinner that didn't have a 2 hr wait (Saturday night in New York!). We kept searching and found a reservation open at Bourbon and Branch and the menu looked appealing. I cannot say enough about the service. Everyone was genuinely warm and friendly and SO attentive. We're water drinkers and they brought us a carafe of cold water. When our glasses got to half empty, someone would quietly appear and refill them. We didn't have to ask for another carafe when we finished it. It just appeared. The food was great, very tasty and well prepared. The atmosphere is modern and comfortable. There are TVs with sports playing, but I didn't find it distracting and we could still converse without any issues. I wish B&B was near where I live, because I would most definitely go back.
Great bar vibe. Specialty cocktails ... Fig bacon (yes, bacon!) old fashioned with maple bitters was peppery and so yummy. Pork tacos with avacados sauce and pineapple salsa was SO good! I didn't intend to eat it all, but I did. Across the table from me was the maple bacon burger; smelled amazing and my husband said it was delicious, especially the maple/oniony/bacon on top. The fries were salty and just right. Classic tunes with dj and live beats in the back ground. I definitely want seconds of it all.
Nice place to grab a happy hour drink in midtown. Proactive bartenders don't let water glasses go empty. I ordered their Old Fashioned and Margarita, both were only $10. Their Old Fashioned has a little too much syrup for my taste, but still delicious. The margarita was fresh and bright. Would definitely recommend. Nice atmosphere and convenient to Penn. Would come back!
Husband and I visited this restaurant for dinner during our weekend stay in NYC. No reservation, so we were unsure if we would need to wait, but we were seated immediately. The food and drinks are amazing! I am vegetarian, so I ordered a salad and it was delicious! My husband ordered a salad as well with meat and bruschetta, and he said it was all perfect but too much to eat in one sitting. The drinks are mixed to perfection. I asked our waiter for a drink recommendation, and after answering several questions they recommended the Concrete Jungle - perfect!!! All staff are extremely attentive, friendly and helpful. I highly recommend stopping by this gem anytime you are in the Time Square area. We will be back for sure!
Returned again 3/28/24 with a group of friends for lunch Dalia was our waitress everything was as good as expected. Thank you. 2/29/24 First impressions are a plus for me. Had lunch with a friend today and I have no complaints. Loved the ambience, service, decor, music and food. I love the food presentation which made it mor appealing and appetizing. Our waitress was Marina she was very friendly, attentive and professional and the staff in general were wonderful. Will return and recommend. Mattie
This place is bumping! However, be prepared to be yelling at this place especially during happy hour. This place is one of the best deals in the city especially around MSG. The food is and there is no food deals, just drinks. Place was not clean so be cautious of that. Overall, I would try this again not at happy hour
We ate off the brunch menu. The Chicken and Waffle stack is everything it looks to be. Has potato wedges at the bottom of the stack. The syrup had an issue, maple or not. Ended up with both. The short rib benedict was minimal portion. Just one muffin split in half with some eggs and a little meat. Not worth the price. And a french onion burger. It was juicy and a good size. What was surprising was you dip it in the french onion soup (no cheese on the soup). Novel. It was good. Two out of three is not a great score when you're eating in Manhattan with those prices. We sent the fries back as they came out tepid. The second attempt was warmer but still not hot.
We had a good experience here food was good, happy hour was good. Only had bar and bar top tables that we could see but there was an upstairs dining we didn’t see.
This place is great for a quick meet up with friends! They have a lot of room being that it has two floors, so you don’t have to wait too long for a table. It’s great that there are bigger tables and booths to grab on your own, without waiting to be seated by a hostess, at the bar upstairs. The drinks were definitely quality and had decent strength to it. The bar food/appetizers were good too; definitely going back to try the full course.
This a very nice location (across from Madison square garden) My wife and I were seated close to the entrance and that wasn't good due to the cold air blowing in every time someone walked inside. Only two individual restrooms on the first floor so there was a line but the food was good and the service could of been better but not bad. I will still go back when in the area 😊😁
Business lunch - great venue centrally located to Penn. I thoroughly enjoyed the food, and I did have the Crispy Chicken Sandwich on a Brioche bun - which was very well prepared, flavorful and proportioned. This is a very good place for a relaxed atmosphere lunch with a client or friends, especially if the client is laid back. The only downside I see is the big opening window at the main entrance to 33rd. The last thing I want is the smells, sounds, and grime of NYC to permeate my eating establishment. A restaurant should create a respite from the outside world, this place can - and lest we forget, we are not in Barcelona with wonderful outdoor dining, NYC never was and never will be that equivalent, close the window. Close that window and I easily give it 5 stars for this lunch, time will tell.
Staff was very pleasant. Food was good, although I've had better salmon burgers to be honest. Prices were very reasonable, and atmosphere very festive for a fun night out with friends or co workers!
Nice place. We went on a Tuesday night which I’m assuming isn’t normally busy, however, there was a Rangers game going on at MSG so it was packed. I would STRONGLY recommend a reservation during any events at MSG because the place fills up real fast. It’s also conveniently located directly across from Penn Station and MSG. Our wait time was estimated 45 minutes for a table for 2 but they got us seated in probably less than 20 minutes. It’s a two story restaurant with bars on both floors surrounded by tvs and tables. The staff was very friendly and efficient so big shout out to all of them. The happy goes from 4-7 daily which is a good thing but it is a limited happy hour menu. Only two beers, an espresso martini, one other thing I believe. There’s also no food on happy hour. We ordered the caprese flatbread to share which was good. I wish there would have been a balsamic drizzle on it or something for some sort of sauce but we also didn’t ask for it so it may be possible. I ordered the French Onion Soup Burgee which was good and nice to have something different. It is slightly messy but it was very good. My partner had the Bourbon Bacon Jam Burger and from the bite I had of that, it was delicious and I would probably get that next time. We spent just shy of $100 for two of us for two entrees, an app, and we both had a happy hour beer. The only bathrooms I could find were on the second floor but there is an elevator at the entrance that drops you off right out side them if you can’t do the stairs. Theres also a host stand on both floors which is nice to keep things running smoothly. All in all. I would recommend it and I would personally go back. Enjoy!
Was a little disappointed that there was only one bourbon cocktail on the menu, but the incredible apple Manhattan more than made up for it. Will took good care of us and made us feel welcome and valued. His recommendation of the filet egg rolls was spot on, they were incredible! Noise level was a bit high, the dj was great but at times we had to yell to be heard, probably not a good spot for a date, and there are cheaper spots for drunk partying.
Great place to socialize and have a smooth drink. We’re new to the bourbon community so we thought this would be an awesome opportunity to experience something new. Staff were very friendly and seated us quickly. This was just at the beginning of happy hour so it was filling up. Seating appears to be ample but noticed that it doesn’t seat during peak hours. The decor is up and trendy. I like the laid back but upbeat vibe. Menu had a delicious selection of appetizers and entrees. Bourbon book did not have a lot of what we anticipated considering their name. Two brands we asked for, server came back and said they were out. Bummer. The prices for a 2oz pour was I thought steep compared to other places. Food prices are great. Server was exceptional. He was very prompt and very professional. He was on top of taking care of us. The view from the second floor was nice. We got to see the busy-ness of New York. Very interesting for out of towners lol. Cleanliness is great. Overall it’s a very nice place to try.
Food and drinks were amazing! The atmosphere was so lively and bright, but just way too loud for my liking on a Saturday night. My friends and I basically had to yell at each other so we could hear us talk over the music and crowd of people. The service was decent, but we had to wait over 15 mins before trying to flag down our waiter for the check. Would definitely try B&B again on our next trip to NYC!
This is a fantastic option for dining before a show at MSG. My burger was in my top three all time list, just off the hook. Espresso martini was fabulous, and full-size and full strength despite being at happy hour prices. Service was attentive without making me feel rushed. Honestly, my only deduction is for the super high volume music they were playing. It went beyond adding a fun vibe to making it virtually impossible to hear someone speak. If they could just dial that back a bit this would be the perfect spot for dinner in the area.
We made a reservation before a concert at MSG which is right across the street. As soon as we walked in we were seated upstairs’s. Originally we were seated with the server’s entrance/exit behind us which wasn’t ideal cold air kept being swept into us. I asked to move before we ordered and they obliged. Our server Antonio G. was attentive and professional. We had a few beers and one Bloody Mary all were good. My wife had the spicy chicken sandwich and I had the Bourbon Bacon Burger both were delicious. Overall it was a good experience. Floor managers kept checking on tables throughout dinner.
Bourbon and Branch is in the ideal location if you're going to an event at Madison Square. The place has ample amount of space having two floors and is great for a large parties. They have a decent wine and liquor selection. The sliders are perfect for sharing, especially when you don't have a lot of time. The bartenders are always attentive regardless how busy they are. Which it does get, make reservations if you know you are stopping by.
This bar/restaurant has such a stunning, upscale but comfortably dark rich decor. The extremely long bar and tables are beautiful. Three of us came for drinks and a snack directly after the Macy's parade and enjoyed our waiter a lot. He brought 1 wrong drink but then the correct one. The problem failed when we noticed an excessive charge for that drink and he failed to adjust the price when it was pointed out giving an excuse that didn't sit well with me. Since I was not paying, I couldn't say much.
Come and get it! This place has really, really good food. Just look at the pictures I posted. Everything came out at once, all cooked perfectly, and everything was delicious. The service was great, Wilmer did an awesome job. The only issue was that the music was way too loud for 830 pm on a Tuesday. It's not a club it's a bar, with great food, loads of tv's, and really loud music.
I met friends here for an early lunch on Wednesday, July 30. The hostess was warm and welcoming, setting a great tone for my first visit. The location is beautiful—spacious, stylish, and conveniently located. I ordered the red snapper ceviche, which was a bit bland and lacked seasoning, but the old fashioned was solid. My friends had the Philly cheesesteak spring rolls and sliders, both of which were pretty good. Our server, Sophia, was friendly and attentive. Overall, I’d recommend Bourbon and Branch for its inviting atmosphere, quick service, and stylish space. A few menu tweaks could elevate it even more, but it’s definitely worth a visit.
Situated in the Penn district and conveniently across from Madison Square Garden / Penn Station, this restaurant can easily be missed within the commuter chaos but should not be passed up. Perfect choice before or after an event or meeting up before a commute, the Food , Cocktails and Decor hit all marks. Great destination for brunch, especially a large party (we were 10). The food presentation is inventive, quality and flavor was well executed and cocktails are a must! Decor is modern Deco, bright and lively. As for service, could not be happier with the level of attention, patience and care. Bourbon & branch left us happy campers!
We passed by and it looks like a hidden spot from the outside. Only 3 stars because either our server Erica (I think her name was) forgot to ask the chef to replace the French fries because she said she was gonna ask and said she’ll get back to me if they can. However, she never came back to me and my food came then I asked her again if they can replace it with the fries as I asked earlier. she just told me “we can’t substitute mash potatoes to french fries at the moment” like really. Otherwise the food was good aside from not being flexible about switching mash potatoes to fries. I liked that it’s not too crowded so that’s good. Also, we were eating and she kept asking questions like don’t you see we’re eating and you still keep asking so many questions smh. It was a nice place but the server was killing my vibes. It wasn’t a pleasant experience for the first visit due to that.
The food and drinks were really good but the service was rough. The waiter was in her 2nd day and not shadowing anyone. It took forever to get drinks and 3x to get our order in. The manager saved the evening once she was alerted otherwise the rating would have been lower.
While the service was overall top notch, the food and drinks left something to be desired. The house old fashioned was entirely too sweet for both myself and my friends. The house margarita was also sweet, so I gave it a splash of grapefruit juice to attempt to even it out. The bourbon bacon jam burger was also overly sweet and needed a dash of salt. Adding ketchup to it for the salt was not a good idea as it just made it sweeter. Would've been nice to know beforehand that I would be charged separate for a small mayonnaise to dip the fries in, at the request of my European friend. Tell me when ordering it, I don't like to feel blindsided, not caring whether it's $0.25 or $2.00. Overall, the food was flavorful, just not the flavor profile we would've wanted (nor expected as much of). If I wasn't in a bit of a rush, I would've mentioned something to the bartender or server. Atmosphere was nice. Ranged from casual to date nighty. Good to go alone, with a few friends, or more than a few friends. Music was a bit loud. The 2 others I was with mentioned this, as well as the party next to me at the bar. 5pm Saturday and music is this loud. I don't want to hear what the place is at 11pm. End of story, I'll go back to try it again soon with friends. Every place has an off day.
I’m not from Boston, so don’t think I’m hating as I write this, but ultimately I think you gotta truly indulge in Bourbon & Branch to walk out fully satisfied. As a known Knick’s bar, game 3 was a time to be dining here for the atmosphere was giving. Folks Knicked out and the vibes were on point. I think my main issue was in the room we were in, there was only one tv and at an oddly high angle. I’m sure there’s suppose to be a balance between upscale and sports bar but I felt it was lacking in sports bar unless you were at the bar. One table couldn’t possibly watch the game from their seat. Their necks 😭. Also, for the amount of time we were there, the food wasn’t screaming at me, so we didn’t engage enough, but for what we did, enjoyment was had. The burger slider stack and all its cheesy glory with the cheese sauce was everything. The sleeper pic however belongs to the Fried Risotto Ball. Whatever was in that sauce, 🔥. Now being game three and a packed, I do applaud the service. Never waited long for food or drinks despite the crowd. Overall, as a bar for Knick’s fan definitely vibes are met and highly recommend for the locals or those trying to be out in the hubbub , but as a tourist…
This was the Old Fashioned I was served for $20! When I pointed out how sloppy this was, they refused to replace it or waive the cost. Very unimpressed. This is a tourist trap bar / restaurant across from MSG. Would recommend avoiding. Super overpriced and the service was very poor. Had to look for people to take out order and fix the problems and bring the bill.
We sat at our table for 30 minutes before our server acknowledged us. When she finally came over we placed our app, drinks and food order all at once. We requested drink refills at least 3 times and finally got them about 30 minutes later. Finally, we found a hair baked into our burger.
Came here for the advertised happy hour specials and when I asked, was told it was “not offered today” even though website says it’s offered every day… it was 5pm… so definitely not outside the advertised time slot. My small glass of wine was $17. Won’t be back.
Yeah I’m a native New Yorker. My boyfriend is from Puerto Rico. We were just there: they were insanely rude. We are Latinos and they were also Latinos and we were kind and polite the whole time. They decided to roll their eyes at every single thing that we asked for and even rolled their eyes when we asked to check out. They were speaking in Spanish, which we understand and talking shit about us through the whole night. Talking badly about everything the whole time. Ultimately, we left a bad tip because they were horrible and If you want a working running business you need to hire new bartenders because they were just literally talking shit about everyone and it was embarrassing for your business. Thanks!
The staff was bored and inattentive. The food was awful. I had the mini sliders. Buns were stale. Burgers were tiny and overcooked. The potato’s were basically just dipped in fryer oil and served. All the food we got at our table was mediocre. Nothing had any flavor. My friend said it best. There’s no love in this food. It’s just being done as cheaply and easily as possible.
Last week I came here along with friends before a concert at Madison. To be honest everything was fine we order few apps and lots of drinks. Until the CHECK came. On the manu it stated 3 CC per check which we followed. We asked the serves to charge a specific amount on one card and the remainder balanced to split among the other two. Pretty basic right?! What does he do? You ask! Well he took it up on him self to add 22% on the check and split everything evenly among the 3 cards. Their menu states they will add a 20% gratuity for party of 10 but, we were only 5. Then when we asked him about the mistake he got stremely nervous, mumble something about mistake and literally run away never to be seen again. He also never brought back the itemized receipt he had gave us the first time without the tip on it. The next morning one of my friends called the restaurant talk to a manager, asked for a copy of out itemized receipt which was never sent to him! NOW!! This type of behaviour is very insulting, shady and disrespectful as a waitress myself. Every single person sat a that table that night worked and still works in hospitality at some point of our lives. He most likely would had gotten more than 22% from us that night if he would had not acted so shady. And unfortunately for us we couldn't prove it because he purposely kept the itemized receipt, which led me to believe this is a established MO! To anyone coming here either pay cash or make sure you add the tips yourself. As a waitress myself in New York I know that its illegal to automatically add tip to the check if it's not stated on the menu or if is not verbally communicated which in this case it wasn't. I know in mom and pops restaurants you are allow to do this because they are independent restaurants, but this seems to be a corporation and that's just plain stealing!
