Opiniones de Bao Su a Chinese Cuisine Simi Valley
Our family decided to check out this new place. Your duck has to be ordered at least an hour and a half ahead of time. We were having Peking Duck 3 ways which meant 2nd dish was bean sprouts fried with duck meat and 3rd dish being duck soup. The food was delicious and on par. We also ordered the bbq eel with sticky rice, a popular Taiwanese dish. I would order that again as it was so good and it hits the spot during lunch time. We left the restaurant very satisfied. We will be back for more of the same.
Amazing Chinese food in Simi Valley!! Eat here!! We had dinner Aug 17th, 2024 and every bite was bliss! This is now our go-to Chinese food place! The service and atmosphere was terrific.
My wife and I were told by my niece that the food was good, so we gave it a try. We both enjoyed our appetizers, and both of our main dishes were served family style. Both were tasty, with leftovers for another meal. Cost is reasonable. Service was good.
Was craving for dimsum, but got distracted by the lunch special. Excellent Szechuan Style Pork Strip, as well as fish, noodles, pork bun, fried rice, egg drop and hot and sour soup.
Considering it’s located in Simi, it’s probably one of the best Chinese places I’ve been to. The reason, it just tastes fresh. The fried rice is simple and delicious. The pork mushu is fantastic and the sauce is amazing. 100% recommend. My wife and i go here often and have never been disappointed. I should probably mention my wife is a vegetarian and can’t eat gluten, and super picky.
The food was excellent and so was the service 😋 👌 I will definitely recommend this place, I'm coming back 😀
Excellent lunch. The hot and sour soup had great flavor. The spring rolls were surprisingly good. I usually don't like spring rolls. I ordered the Mongolian beef with fried rice. I really liked that too. I will be back.
Been a couple of times, my son more so. It is absolutely fabulous. My son eats in the LA area quite often and loves the food. He's usually very critical of all our restaurants. We order quite a bit of food and everything is great. The only complaint is they have not had the basal beef for a few times now.
Best Chinese food I have had in a while, so I come back allot. Quality food, good price, chicken lo main is a favorite, tangerine chicken good too. Hot and sour soup is a bit too spicy, but the best I've had.
I’ve been here like 15 times now since they opened. My husband and I love their food and we are incredibly snobby when it comes to food quality. Bao Su is the best Chinese place in Simi Valley hands down. We love their pan fried rice noodles with beef, tangerine chicken, Mongolian beef, and cream cheese wontons. We’ve tried lots of their dishes and always get something new. We’ve never been disappointed. The workers are always very nice and helpful. They always walk us to the door and open the door as we leave with our food. Plus side is there’s a boba tea shop attached!
Stopped by for lunch because we were in Simi Valley for a job, and I was glad we did. The noodles were probably the best I've had, and I've eaten Asian food all my life. The hot and sour soup was the right amount of spice. The bathroom was also clean.
I've been looking for my go-to Chinese restaurant since moving back to Simi from the valley. This is definitely it. They have the best chicken lo mein I've ever had, I think. Their sweet and sour chicken is also amazing. My husband loves their hot and sour soup. I wish they had dinner combinations that other restaurants have (come with soup, spring rolls, rice, etc.) but that's more my own problem with indecision than anything negative about this restaurant. It's so good, I want some of everything. Everything is very reasonably priced. Large portions - 2 of us always leave with leftovers from 2 entrees and an appetizer. The staff is friendly and efficient. Great all around. We eat here several times a month.
Always loved the food here. Reasonably priced as well.
Hubby and I wanted to try something different in Simi for dinner. We are SOO glad we went to Bao Sua! The menu was huge!! But I was in the mood for lots of veggies, and ordered the spicy eggplant. Absolutely delicious! We also ordered the chicken and green beans which was very good as well. Green beans were cooked but crispy, not mushy. Yum 😋 We will definitely be going again soon. I can't figure out why the restaurant wasn't packed though! More people need to try this amazing food! Servers were very friendly and attentive, and food was served VERY quickly. Well done Bao Sua! 😁
This place was surprisingly awesome! Walking into the place it had the typical family owned restaurant look. Nothing about its look gives any indication over how good their food is. We arrived with a party of nine in the mood for Din Sum. We were eating family style and pretty much ordered multiples of every din sum option they had. Plus appetizers and noodle dishes. Wow! Is all I can say. The food started out awesome and just seemed to get better with every dish brought out. Dishes I’d recommend: the chicken dumpling in spicy sauce, fried cheese wontons, beef lo mein, and the garlic string beans. But really, from what I tasted, you can’t go wrong.
I’ve been to ALOT of Chinese restaurants all across the US and this place ranks among the best I’ve had. I got the crystal shrimp and salt & pepper pork (asked them to make it spicy) both dishes were great full of balanced flavor. I would highly recommend coming here. It was kinda slow when I came on a tuesday night (which is surprising considering how good the food is). Do yourself a favor and come eat here. Support local businesses!!! If i lived closer id come here at least 2-3 times a week!!
First time at Bao and it was fantastic. We place an rder for two and the clerk took our order with ease. 15 minute wait and we took our food home. The food was fabulous tastes and piping hot. Excellent Choice and next time we dine in because the atmosphere was very comfortable. Thank You !!
Bao Su a is a great option for Chinese in Simi Valley. I’ve had lunch and dinner here and each did not disappoint. They have lunch specials which are great deals with great food, if you’re looking to fill up around lunchtime come here. Dinner is best when attending with multiple people, each dish is designed to share. We got salt and pepper pork, rice, and BBQ bun. The pork was great and the bun was fluffy.
The food here is amazing. It was a great little secret in Simi Valley. Then they got a new service that everyone can order from them and now they are getting slammed. The staff is super friendly. They just need a few more people to handle the volume. They are worth the wait. I have never had a bad meal yet.
So…After the re-opening of Imperial Dragon for Chinese take-out food, in East Simi Valley, we tried them twice in a row. However, they barely scored above average, so we decided to revert and fully commit to Bao Su A - for our go-to Chinese take out, going forward. Last night, we ordered their Hot & Sour Soup (excellent), Egg Rolls (excellent), Vegetable Fried Rice (excellent), General Chou’s Chicken (excellent), and BBQ Pork (excellent). The order took less than 20 minutes from order to ready. The serving portions were generous, the quality of preparation was off-the-chart! Why we felt compelled to try another place was only motivated by a long-term allegiance to Imperial. Imperial is very good, but for great, our choice is Bao Su A! This place is far from cheap, but then again that’s what Panda Express is for!
I'll make this quick and simple as we're all needing some dim sum right about now. Finding a parking space shouldn't be a problem ✅ Great tasting food ✅ Great staff ✅ Consistent service ✅ Enter your phone number for points ✅ Good for a hangout, date, family gathering ✅ Not busy. You'll get a table right away ✅ See pictures 🔥👍🏼 If you find this helpful, I guess you can follow me for more short but accurate reviews. 🤙 😎Enjoy!
Barely placing a review of this joint, and I've gone here multiple times which is insane! BUT, I enjoy the food, the atmosphere, and the staff service. A bit pricey, I'd have to say, but I believe you get what you pay for with them. From their simple Egg Drop Soup, their Tangerine Chicken, thinly sliced BBQ Pork, their tasty Mongolian Beef, the Crispy Noodle Combo, any of their fried rice dishes, yummy appetizers, and their various flavored soft bao buns, you can't go wrong here. Their milk tea drinks are solid! Whether you add or don't add extra ingredients such as boba, grass jelly, cream foam, or egg pudding, they do a great job with them. Their fluffy Snow Creme desserts are simple (like powdered ice or snow in this case), but taste amazing! It depends on your palette, but you can't go wrong with any of their flavors (haven't tried the Green Matcha), but I highly recommend the Mango Snow Creme. Overall, a solid place to satisfy your hunger.
Excellent dumplings and Mongolian Beef. Delicious. My favorite are the Juicy Pork Dumplings. Definitely an awesome soup dumpling! The portions are good for the prices. I can't wait to actually eat in! They have daily specials that are great, too!
I need to pay more attention to Simi Valley. After all, it is just over the hill and the next town over. In a way, my neighbor. So, as I hunted along, for a Chinese place for lunch, I discovered a hidden gem. The name of the restaurant is Bao Su A. It has a wide menu, numerous choices……and serves fantastic food. I chose the lunch special of Kung Pao Fish Fillet, that comes with an egg roll and your choice of soup of the day and rice. I selected fried rice and egg drop soup. I have to say that the fish dish was truly well prepared, succulent and bursting with flavor and taste. Fish pieces were not breaded, so the flesh was exposed to and fully absorbed the Kung Pao sauce concoction. Fried rice was simple but amazing in texture and taste. Service was attentive and prompt. Now need to go back for their dim sum and other enticing menu items.
This place is for real. The pork bao were so good and cooked just right. All the ingredients used in this restaurant are fresh, from the fish to the vegetables. I ate with a large party, so we had the opportunity to try lots of different things. Obviously, I didn't get a picture of everything that I tried. It was a rather amazing experience. The staff is attentive and the large tables have a big, glass lazy Susan, which is always a good time when you have 10 people at a table. I'm most definitely going back, and very likely also ordering take away from here.
This is the best “BEST” Asian Cuisine restaurant in the Valley. The outside appears as a local hole in the wall diner but the inside is clean, comfortable, and most importantly serves amazing food with excellent servers. The management and staff have created a relaxed atmosphere with comfortable seating and I am serious when I say the food is AMAZING! We travel all over, have had amazing asian cuisine in many places and this restaurants dishes have taken a hard First place! Plan on many future visits! Oh and the prices are a little higher…. But worth every penny’ Jules Mahalo
Bao Su is always good. Food is always good. Service is always good. Price is always on point. Great for large groups. Try the tangerine chicken.
Wow, what a treat! Cashew shrimp for me, tangerine chicken for Mrs., and juicy pork dumplings to share. Sooo good. Friendly staff. I regret I have just one stomach to fill.

We tried Bao-Su-A for the first time today. Our party of six enjoyed the meal each one ordered. It's going to be our go-to place for when we anticipate and look forward to piping hot food, well seasoned, good- sized portions and attentive service.
I ordered shrimp fried rice. It was SO YUMMY!! Savory, HOT , steamy, FRESH…. And the employees were polite. ☺️ I would totally recommend if you want some Good Chinese food. And they seem passionate about what they do here. It’s clean and organized. It may not look like much on the outside, but it’s one of those California mom and pop food places you don’t want to miss.
We had stopped here because walking by it smelled good. There wasn't a lot of people inside so it was fast seating. We ordered the General Tso chicken, chicken chow mein, shrimp fried rice, and beef broccoli. The food came in great quality and quantity. Due to a food allergy we had them remake the General Tso so that it didn't have pineapples but it was fresh and delicious. It's rare that a restaurant can satisfy the taste buds of picky children but they loved it and we had a ball.

This is good chinese food compared to strip mall chain restaurants, in fact it’s much better. Staff are very friendly and helpful.
Food was great, came out pretty fast and is reasonably priced. The juicy pork soup dumplings, stir-fry beef noodle and strawberry shaved ice were some of our favorites. The services was just ok, not super attentive but also didn’t totally abandon us. I would come back again though!
This is a great, quality alternative from the typical over salted, over sauced “fast food” style places. We LOVED the chicken fried rice, broccoli beef and wonton soup! Great service and great food. I’d have given five stars, but the hot and sour soup was not up to my Mom’s expectations. I’ll definitely keep this among my favorites though!
Pretty authentic Chinese flavors for Simi Valley! Tasty family style dishes without having to drive to the Valley. Just one thing: Peking Duck Special is much more expensive compared to other Chinese places (they charged for extra pancakes if you run out).
Very solid food, so glad we found a goto in Simi!!! Please stop changing the music every ten seconds, it’s maddening!!

I love their wor wonton soup- order it a few times a week. Decided to try the tangerine chicken, chow mein (both just ok) and shrimp fried rice (really good). I appreciate how well they clean their shrimp. The only thing is I just wish they were a little nicer to me- I'm in there so often a familiar smile would be welcomed.
We picked up our order due to covid-19. They weren’t doing deliveries. They set our food out on a table outside restaurant entrance and went inside and locked their doors and then called us to let us know we could get out of our car to grab our food. It was strange and I think there could have been a better way of doing this. I was not impressed. It wasn’t awful but it definitely wasn’t that good. I had the fried chicken dumplings and sour & spicy soup and my boyfriend had the chicken dumpling soup. The dumplings I got were soft and they seemed like they were boiled and not fried and crispy on the outside like they are supposed to be. The soups were so hot that we poured them into a bowl and it took 30 minutes to cool down enough to eat. The flavor of the dumplings were bland. I would prefer to get pot stickers at the junkyard (pretty good too) than get them here. I wont be returning for dumplings again. There are much better places to find them.
Pork with dried hot peppers and chilanto was mostly dried peppers. Not like the photo in the menu. I showed the waitress and she said that was how the cook made it. Steamed rice was extra and in a tiny bowl. There are better Chinese restaurants in Simi. Photo is of the left over peppers after I had eaten a lot them with the pork.

Food was good. But service is really bad. I ordered and appetizer and the lunch special they confirmed my order. And still got it wrong. They put the order back in and I waited. I watch 2 customers get angry and left. I finished my meal and my appetizer still didn’t come out. Don’t know if it was the kitchen or server that messed it up but had to wait for a while before I get my food. It wasn’t busy at all so there was no excuse. I had to wave the servers down for water while I waited
No one came to serve us after given Menues. 15 minutes later we just got up and left. No even seem to care ir know
I was disappointed with my experience at this restaurant, as it seems they do not prioritize the well-being of both their employees and customers. One employee was coughing throughout the entire dining experience, clearly very ill. While I understand that restaurants can face staffing shortages, it’s concerning that employees are not allowed to take sick leave due to a lack of coverage and the restaurant’s potential loss of income. To make matters worse, I discovered that one of their best employees no longer works there. I now can see why. It's troubling to see a business that values its bottom line over the health of its staff and patrons. No one should be forced to work while sick, and this approach reflects poorly on management. Fostering a supportive environment for employees should be a top priority for any business owner. I hope they reconsider their policies to create a healthier and more responsible workplace. No matter how good the food is, it’s the workers who make the place run, and this experience has left a bad taste in my mouth that leaves me not planning to return here.
This was by far some of the worst food I’ve ever had to a point where for the first time ever I sent something back. The staff were friendly enough, but the food is just inedible. It’s old and tastes like every sauce comes directly from a bottle.
I had a yen for egg foo yung which is not a regular menu item at thus restaurant. I asked and was told they could make it. When the food was done there were two large take out contsiners and when I got the food home I opened it to fond a mess of scrambled egg overcooked patties of flavorless mess. Paid $21.95 for a single order. Was never so disappointed! Learned my lesson....if not on the menu that means it's likely not something that they do well!

First time trying this place. Decided based on the positive reviews. We've never had Dim sum so small. That was the first thing we noticed. Were hoping to finally locate a really good Chinese restaurant in Simi but unfortunately this one is not it. The sweet and sour had mushy coating, the shrimp Dim sum was gritty. We ordered salt & pepper pork chop and got something else we can't identify. It did not look at all like the on-line photo. Order was take out and don't feel like driving all the way back there in the rain. Won't be returning. People there are very nice and so is atmosphere of restaurant. Too bad. It was supposed to be a special New Year's Eve dinner.
The “dumpling soup” wasn’t soup dumplings at all—just potstickers, some still partially frozen, dropped into broth. Much of the food seemed reheated, and you could clearly hear microwaves running in the kitchen. stay away.
Waited for someone to say hello and offer me a menu but nobody was interested. I decided to leave after they decided to help someone else that came in after me.
