In my opinion a best restaurant for steak and brisket. My favorite meal is the combo.
My God, what is there not to love about this restaurant everything they serve is done with love everything you eat has the best taste you can ever imagine believe me. It's a place you'd want to eat at everyday who the hell cares if your wallet gets to zero, but this restaurant has great staff that are always on point asking you if everything is okay and I am willing to go there as many times as possible to eat the great food this restaurant offers.
Food, service, atmosphere was all perfect. It’s not cheap, but it’s wood ranch! It’s good. Well worth your time. The brisket I had was out of this world.
Great location and easy parking. Excellent tri tip soup one of my new favorites. Appetizers and small plate sides are great. Giselle was our server and was very friendly, knowledgeable, very fast with our order and had a great smile. Highly recommend!
We ordered takeout from here and were so happy with the quality of all the food. We were most impressed with the steaks. Sometimes it’s hard to get a decent takeout steak or meat, but it not only tasted great, the texture was amazing. We ordered salad and vegetables too. Everything was top of the line. If we lived in the area, we would be regulars.
Wood Ranch has become a stable in the community for great service and quality food. Second to none.
We got there right before evening rush on Saturday! Needless to say the service and food was amazing! Definitely worth every penny! While most restaurants can be as pricy and more common , I was pleasantly surprised at my whole experience! My children and I had a very good night and we all were more than satisfied with the food/ ambiance and service!
Large menu and friendly staff! The garlic rolls are incredible and I had a tri tip salad that was great and my partners loved the brisket and the ribs. Save room for desert! This place is consistently terrific
We love wood ranch because they have something for everyone in our family, even our toddler. On this particular occasion, they forgot a food item from our to-go order and when we got home (30 minutes away) we noticed it was missing. They took the time to get it cooked and bring it all the way to us in a timely fashion as we were hosting people and this was one of the main items. Truly impressed with how they handled the situation as they went above and beyond! Thank you to Brett the manager and Rabin who delivered, you guys are awesome and saved the day!
Wood Ranch never fails to deliver delicious food in a nice atmosphere. My only complaint is the wait time to get a table. There are always a bunch of people outside because the wait area inside is never enough. The beef ribs are really sooo good. (We ordered the plate of 4 and split it.) My favorite, especially when accompanied by their peanut coleslaw. Mmmm, mmmmm, good!
High-quality food in a relaxing, welcoming atmosphere at reasonable prices we dine here weekly.
Great food. Just left and our server Lesly was amazing. She was informative, kind, and helpful. It's service like hers that makes you want to come back.
First time here and really enjoyed it. The brisket was cooked just right and my sides of Mac and cheese and smashed sweet potatoes were excellent. Our server took very good care of our table of three. Worth the trip!
Most all of the Woodranch locations are very nice, good food and good drinks. Always a good time!
Wood Ranch hosted our 72 person welcome party to welcome all our guests to our wedding weekend. They did an amazing job! Everyone was completely on top of what needed to happen, I made a limited menu for our guests and they printed it out for all the guests. We worked out a plan before hand, and when we arrived all of our guests had bread and shredded onions waiting for them! they were able to bring out the food relatively all together, and it made a fantastic evening! Special shoutout to Erin Sanchez, who was a delight to work with, and made sure the event ran smoothly. Thank you Wood Ranch for kicking off the wedding weekend right!
Of all the times i’ve ordered food from Wood Ranch in Agoura, I have been extremely satisfied. From the ribs to the cole slaw, everything that is served at this restaurant is excellent. Especially the take out service that is phenomenal. Super easy to call in and order or order online. The bar is in a perfect place, with televisions all across the wall playing all the latest sports broadcasts and/or games. Overall, I have been really satisfied with all my visits to Wood Ranch.
WOW!!! Just WOW!!! I haven’t seen a Restaurant Manager so proactive like Mr. Brett! He greet me, he listened to me, he was cleaning, helping other coworkers and checking if all the customers were happy, like nonstop, going above and beyond! This man is a legend, and needs to be cared at all cost! Thanks for what you’re doing, and hope you can motivate others in the hospitality industry! Also, thanks to the waiter Jesse, he was kindly attentive and very professional, knowing very well the menu and giving recommendations, also checking that I was enjoying every meal, thanks Bro.! The food was EXCELLENT!!! The best Beef Ribs I haven’t tasted, just like a dream come true, when you were starving for a really good day to eat beef ribs, you should come here! Definitely I’ll come back! -Gabriel Resto Aranda
This is a great place, and they are doing an amazing job with the outdoor patio dining. I think it's the best patio dining we've ever experienced in this pandemic. The entire area is very well heated up with many many patio heaters. The food is excellent, prices are fair and the service is professional. Overall 10/10 experience.
Been going to the Agoura location for years and it's always been pretty consistent "dining-in" experience. Went recently and our waitress was awesome! She was very attentive, on top of things, and super-friendly. Overall, the food was good and arrived quickly. We had the pulled pork sando, BBQ chicken plate, & sirloin with loaded baked potato. Everything was delicious! The only small ding was that medium rare steak was more on the rare side, however, it was still very good. Reasonably priced for the area and nice vibe inside the restaurant or the bar. It does get pretty busy at times so be prepared to wait for a table during peak times. There is lots of parking in the main lot, however, it can be difficult to find a space depending on the time of day.
I had the pleasure of dining at Wood Ranch Restaurant, and I must say, it was an exceptional culinary experience that exceeded all my expectations! From the warm and inviting ambiance to the mouthwatering dishes, Wood Ranch truly has it all. Upon entering the restaurant, I was immediately struck by the cozy, rustic atmosphere, complete with wood accents, dim lighting, and a welcoming fireplace. The friendly staff promptly greeted me and led me to my table, where I was excited to dive into the extensive menu. Wood Ranch's menu boasts a fantastic selection of American comfort food, with an emphasis on succulent, wood-fired meats. After much deliberation, I opted for the baby back ribs, which were cooked to perfection and practically falling off the bone. The house-made BBQ sauce was a delightful balance of sweet and tangy flavors, perfectly complementing the tender, smoky meat. My dining companion enjoyed the tri-tip steak, which was juicy, flavorful, and cooked exactly to her liking. Of course, I cannot forget to mention the delectable sides! The garlic mashed potatoes were creamy and full of flavor, while the mac and cheese was rich, gooey, and incredibly satisfying. And let's not forget the warm, freshly baked bread that was brought to our table - it was the perfect way to start our meal. The service at Wood Ranch was top-notch, with attentive and knowledgeable staff who were more than happy to offer recommendations and ensure that our dining experience was nothing short of perfect. The pacing of the meal was spot-on, allowing us to savor each dish without feeling rushed. In conclusion, if you're looking for a delicious and satisfying meal in a warm, inviting atmosphere, look no further than Wood Ranch Restaurant. The combination of mouthwatering dishes, exceptional service, and cozy ambiance make it a dining experience that you won't want to miss. I'm already looking forward to my next visit!
Well trained wait staff. (Special thanks to Ryan, Reese, Mike K., and the front hostesses). Excellent food no matter what was chosen on menu! Reasonable price for such quality food! (We went back the following night, a Friday) for a 2nd round. Although it was busier, we still got right in, and everything else was just as outstanding as the evening before!!! We are looking forward to returning and bringing more company with us when we are back in the area at the end of the month.🤩
I haven't been to Wood Ranch in awhile, but it as always was absolutely delicious. I ordered the tri to, mac && cheese with Idaho bake potato. If you've never been here you need too. Their rolls are amazing! They don't sing Happy Birthday to you, but they do give you this sundae. Customer service was amazing, he was friendly and always checked on us. See even though places are busy, you can still get amazing customer service. Definitely will be back again. I wish they would bring a Wood Ranch to Central Cali.
We sat on the patio at 830 pm. It was perfect! The lighting was great and the atmosphere was so nice. The food was awesome! We had strawberry lemonade and got the BBQ combos. Tri tip, pork ribs, beef ribs, pulled pork, baked beans, loaded mashed potatoes, Mac and cheese, tri tip dip and a burger. It was delicious! Highly recommended the tri tip and ribs. The pulled pork was a little dry. The peach cobbler was delicious. They have wet wipes and this may seem weird but their water is really tasty. The buns were hot and fresh and buttery and garlicky...yum! All that food fed 7 adults and we had 3 to go trays. Our waitress was excellent and very attentive. She made sure we had everything we needed. Definitely recommend 👌
This wood ranch is so damn good like omg the MAC N CHEESE like can y’all please give me the recipe!! Our waiter was so nice too I love coming to this place
Everything was excellent. It was the best meal I've ever had at Wood Ranch as was the service. We really enjoyed our time.
I am so impressed. They forgot one little item on a takeout order last night during a very busy Friday night. A very understandable thing to happen. The manager took the time to actually give me a call today to apologize and give us a refund for the item. You rarely see that kind of customer service anymore. He just made a customer out of me for life
Great place for BBQ when I'm in the area. The service was great and the BBQ was delicious. Sweeter than I would have liked but still good BBQ. Also, get the fried string onions, they're my favorite. The garlic bread is marvelous too! Outdoor dining is available, easy street parking, and follows recommended covid prevention procedures.
I love wood ranch. Wood ranch is one of the best bar b que places around. This was my first time to this location it definitely did not disappoint. The food is very consistent from every location. Amanda was the best. She recommended bbq sauce on the rolls my life has changed forever. She had everything I needed at my table before I could even ask. I recommend wood ranch if you like bar b que. everything is fresh and delicious.
We wanted great food to end a special day enjoying the sun and breeze at the Pacific Ocean. My granddaughter found this restaurant on.line and it was close to our hotel. The impression from the first call e.g. the confidence of the employee to the arrival to pick up our food,; the staff was friendly and efficient When we arrived the restaurant we observed a spacious; fun.and relaxing atmosphere .The customers looked happy The order was ready before we exoected; and the food did not disappoint .The presentation really made our eyes pop and our mouths water@@ The website, photos and reviews were important to.our deciding to try this restaurant
Awesome spot for chicken tenders and a salad. There chicken tortilla soup is delicious and their garlic bread is addicting. Great customer service and a great spot in Calabasas. Love and recommend their Asian chicken salad with a side of pan seared salmon. ***update*** Tried their blackened sea bass & uncut tri tip. The sea bass was excellent, perfectly cooked and seasoned. I was expecting the tri tip to be cut but as a steak it was amazing.
Amazing food, had the smoked brisket wife the pulled pork. Food was served in 15 minutes and at first was surprised but it was one of the best BBQ meals we’ve had. The bill was less than $100 bucks for two including one of the best expresso martinis. A very casual atmosphere with excellent service. We’ll be back soon.
I can honestly say that my first time eating at this place was a fantastic one. The service was great, our waiter and the hostess were super friendly. The food was incredible, let me tell ya. My husband and I both ordered Ethan's brisket sandwich. It was so flavorful, juicy, the Swiss and the slaw complimented the brisket so beautifully. It was like a party of flavor. Definitely one of the best sandwiches I've had in a while. The rolls were good, but they were very garlicky and drenched in butter. I recommend eating here, most definitely.
This is my favorite restaurant of ALL time! I’ve been eating here 3 times or so a week for years, and it never disappoints. I may be their ultimate fan boy… Quick tip, ask if Manny is on the grill, and if so do yourself a favor and order a steak, you won’t be mad you did.
We had a late lunch, and the place was quiet with great service. The Ultimate sandwich was huge and the kielbasa hot rave reviews. The Western tri-tip was a 5 with the au jus for dipping.
Excellent bbq place. Outdoor dining area was nice and they nailed the ambiance with the picnic tables. Meats were all tender and the sauce has great flavor with a bit of heat on the back of the tongue. Price was great for the amount of food on the plates. Also came with nice fluffy rolls and we had the BBQ chicken potato skins appetizer, which is about the best way I've ever had them.
Hands down. One of the best BBQ places I’ve gone too. The staff is phenomenal! I recommend trying the Buffalo Ranch Cauliflower. It is amazing. I thought I was eating chicken. The beef ribs where perfect to me. And I’m from the south. (Mississippi) so that says a lot when it comes to BBQ. Check this place out.
Great BBQ place! We were in the area to visit family and decided as a group to go for BBQ. We were seated quickly despite it being busy, our server was attentive and helpful, and the food was great. We would definitely go back.
My husband and I came yesterday and everything was perfect! Super nice hostess at the front, and our waitress Yasmine/Jasmine was super sweet. She was very attentive to our table; filing our drinks without asking, clearing our table when we were done and checking in on us. The food was also amazing and super tasty :) We will be coming back to this location again!
Their ribs are always the best, but they were especially tender this time. The loaded baked potato was so flavorful! My son got the kids tri tip, chopped, and it was SO good, incredibly tender, cooked perfectly, and had caramelized sauce throughout. The waitress was very nice, and the garlic rolls were amazing!
Came in with my daughter for late lunch. We were seated fast , order was easy and done exactly like we wanted it. We have been served by Shelby that was super nice and took care that we enjoyed our food. Overall great experience , we will come again.
We been customers for 6 years. The guacamole and chips is excellent. We had the filet mignon and it is the best! Parking can be a challenge but it is worth the visit. Highly recommend!!!!!
The Wood Ranch in Agoura Hills is hands down one of the best spots around for killer BBQ and comfort food. Their artichoke spinach dip is creamy, loaded with flavor, and comes with that perfect zesty salsa twist—it's addictive from the first bite. The baby back ribs are fall-off-the-bone tender, hand-trimmed and slathered in their original BBQ sauce that hits just right. Don't sleep on the beef ribs either; those pecan wood-smoked monsters are meaty, juicy, and full of smoky goodness. Paired with perfectly roasted broccoli that's got great char and crunch, and their rich, cheesy mac n cheese that's straight-up comfort in a bowl, it's a meal that leaves you happy and stuffed every time. Solid service, great vibes—highly recommend hitting up this location
Just casually hanging out at the Rose Parade in Pasadena, representing Allen HS. Our hotel happened to be in Agoura Hills, CA, and all I wanted after a week of indulgence was a simple salad. So, on New Year's Day, I set out in search of the perfect salad spot, only to end up here because, of course, the salad place was closed. But let me tell you, that cold beer was no joke - it was practically ice cold! And the bread, the burger... absolute fire! Gorgonzola versus barbecue sauce, applewood bacon, buttered buns - are you kidding me? Delicious. And that barbecue chop salad with tri-tips? The steak was tender and flavorful, especially with that balsamic glaze instead of ranch. Seriously, shoutout to Jesse at the bar for the awesome recommendations. What a way to kick off the new year!
So I had a reservation for 6pm and when we got there it wasn't on their list. Not a big deal cause they took us in 30 min later. After that everything was amazing. The food was top notch. I highly recommend to get the potato wedges. My god those were fantastic. All in all it was an amazing place.
Woodranch Bbq has two locations in the Conejo Valley, the Agoura Hills location seems to be the oldest. The tri-tip is one of the best around, along with the fire, roasted chicken and the baby back ribs. They’re hamburgers are great if you’re in the mood for one, and the sides of choice for me are the baked beans, mashed potatoes, asparagus, steamed, broccoli, steamed. It’s hard to go wrong with anything else on the menu as all the dishes are delicious.
I was unable to place an online order, fortunately a very nice young lady by the name of Destiny was very helpful when I called. Although I ordered a pickup and go order the restaurant was quite busy. A very popular place indeed. The food was outstanding and the customer service was just a wonderful if not better. Definitely recommend!
Fantastic BBQ, especially for the price. Perfectly cooked and fairly large portions. Excellent value. Mac N Cheese was top notch. The ribs, amazing and the brisket was superb. The place is huge, having a substantial take out wing, as well as plenty of dining. The staff is exceptional and pleasant.
Delicious barbecue. The bbq sauce is 80% of what makes this place so great! We always order the combo you can get two meats and 2 sides. Then my boyfriend and I mix and match. He always gets the ribs and pulled pork. I always get the half chicken and short rib. So good. The fries are great too. My bf also devours the butter biscuits they give you when you sit down. If you squeeze it, butter drips out. So if you’re into that then come here!
Wood Ranch, founded in 1992, set out with a clear mission: to offer high-quality food in a relaxing, welcoming atmosphere at reasonable prices. More than three decades later, it’s safe to say they delivered on that promise, and then some. From the moment you walk into the restaurant, you’re met with warm lighting, friendly staff, and a laid-back yet polished environment that invites you to stay a while. But what truly keeps people coming back is the food especially the barbecue. Their slow-roasted tri-tip, tender baby back ribs, and perfectly smoked brisket are nothing short of exceptional. Every bite bursts with rich, smoky flavor, and the generous portions ensure no one leaves hungry. The sides, too, deserve recognition from the garlic mashed potatoes to the signature peanut coleslaw, everything feels thoughtfully crafted and made from scratch. Wood Ranch strikes a rare balance between casual comfort and top-tier dining. It’s the kind of place where you can bring the family for a laid-back dinner, meet friends for drinks and ribs, or even celebrate a special occasion. Reasonable prices, quality ingredients, and consistent service have made it a go-to destination for barbecue lovers across Southern California, and a standout in the crowded dining scene.
This was honestly one of the best meals I’ve ever had in my life. I tried the tri-tip and baby back ribs while my wife had a filet. Everything was cooked perfectly. We both commented on how well it was prepared and how it was better than places that cost more back home. Our server, Ashley, was so friendly and helpful. Her service was even better than the food which was a very high bar to top. I don’t live nearby, but if I am ever in this area again, this will be a must stop.
My date and I stopped by Wood Ranch in Agoura Hills last Saturday night for a quick bite, and we were blown away by the experience. From the moment we stepped out of the car, the incredible aroma of barbecue filled the air—our mouths were watering before we even walked in! Inside, the place had fantastic energy. It was great to see families gathered at the tables, and I loved that the booths weren’t just regular booths—they were huge, perfect for big groups. The vibe was warm and welcoming, with a sports bar feel in the best way possible—a little music, TVs playing the game, and an amazing bar staff. Speaking of the staff, the ladies at the bar were outstanding—friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. We felt right at home. We weren’t overly hungry, so we shared a plate of pulled pork, corn on the cob, asparagus, and some amazing homemade bread. I also had a lovely glass of wine. The flavors were absolutely spot on—so delicious! The only small downside was that the food could have been a little warmer (especially the corn), but honestly, it was so good that we didn’t mind. Beyond the food, what really stood out was the atmosphere—it felt like the kind of place locals come back to again and again, and I can see why. Great energy, great service, and great food. We really enjoyed ourselves and will definitely be back!
I decided to come here for my birthday with my parents and my wife. The food here is always amazing and delicious—nothing to complain about. They start you off with the rolls, which are soft and buttery, and I just can’t get enough of them. Word of caution: try not to eat too many rolls before your meal arrives! For my main dish, I got the roasted chicken with mashed potatoes and a side of steamed broccoli. This is always my go-to dish since I can’t have anything with tomatoes in it. My wife got the baby back ribs (a full rack) and shared them with my mom. It wouldn’t be a Wood Ranch experience if someone didn’t order the baby back ribs, am I right? The service is always top-notch and friendly. If you ever need anything on short notice, just let the server know, and they’ll take care of it for you. The ambiance is always a vibe. During the day, the lights are a bit brighter, but in the evening, they dim them to create a more romantic atmosphere. It’s a great spot to take your wife, girlfriend, husband, or boyfriend for a date or an anniversary celebration. I will always love Wood Ranch, no matter what, and make it a point to come here at least a few times a year to enjoy those buttery rolls. I 100% recommend this Wood Ranch location in Agoura Hills, CA—or any of their locations—to anyone and everyone!
If you're looking for a quick, satisfying meal, Wood Ranch delivers on all fronts. The service is impressively fast, ensuring you won't be waiting long for your food, even during peak hours. The portions are generous, so you'll definitely leave feeling full. The food itself is top-notch—flavorful and cooked to perfection. A standout is their garlic bread, which is crispy on the outside and soft inside, bursting with that perfect garlicky goodness. Whether you're stopping in for a casual meal or a hearty dinner, Wood Ranch makes sure you get both quality and value. Highly recommended!

Veggie burger lettuce wrap (no bun) is a decent choice for non-meat eaters joining their friends at this meat centric establishment. Couple with a side of steamed asparagus for a healthy go-to meal. If you're flexible with your sugar intake the smashed sweet potatoes will seem like a dessert (they add a bunch of butter and sugar so definitely not a low calorie side). Enjoy!
A friendly note to the head chef or owner. The chicken is well cooked and good but the rub is not that good. The ribs were great.
Service was good but slow, it was fairly busy. Hard to get enough to drink, but definitely a good place to eat.
The portion was a little on the small side for the price but delicious. Dined alone at the bar. In town on business. Very fast service. Attentive bartender without being intrusive. Fresh ingredients. Tasty. Would definitely return. The staff clearly knew locals and regulars.
I ordered take out from the bar. Service was great. The food was pricey for what you get and not something I will go out of my way for in the future. The pulled pork was good, tri tip was disappointing as it was very tough, and not very flavorful. My favorite part of my meal was the roasted brocoli....for a bbq place this should not be the highlight.
What a great place you can smell the bbq from the freeway next door and that's the reason why I came in today and oh man the food was delicious! I recommend anyone to come try this place out your self you won't be disappointed. The bathroom were nice and clean the men's restroom also had a baby station, the staff was very kind and helpful.
There can be a wait here, especially on weekends. Be prepared for 30 minutes or more. Their menu was recently revised and overall prices are higher. Our table was not exactly clean and the concierge suggested I wipe it down myself. Not too pleased with that attitude. Food and service was okay. It's basically the same stuff, just more expensive.
Was really impressed by the atmosphere when we first walked in. It kind of felt like a throwback to a 90s restaurant, but also felt up to date. Our waitress struggled to keep up and we waited a long time to order and to get our check. Once we ordered food came out pretty quickly. The food was of good quality, but some lacked much flavor.
Good food and great service. Loved our server. She was very friendly and helpful. Definitely will be coming back
Food was good, drinks were not up to par. \nOverpriced and under filled. I would recommend the food, but no alcoholic beverages.

This is my go to eatery when visiting family in the area. It is always crowded, prepare to wait. We were seated way way in the back, the place is larger than it seems. Food always good.
super expensive, paid $22 for a sandwich, waitress seemed to forget we existed, food was okay, not worth the price
Food was just ok, got served a bunch of fat instead of Brisket but they brought us some better slices once we showed them. Our server was really good and took pretty good care of us, but the Manager didn't seem very engaged with us or concerned how our meal was. Really it was a disappointing experience and too top things off they discontinued the 3 item Combo. Looking like we'll be looking for an alternative in the future 😏
Everything is always so great at this restaurant. I usually bring my mom here because she loves the beef ribs and the service is just great. I have one complaint so today is labor day and I went th…
The ambiance was nice, the server was nice, the drinks were good, but the food was just okay... Lacking flavor. We've had much better BBQ.
Food was very good. The bar tender could not multi task & was very friendly but took forever to get drinks. Took too much time chatting not doing her job.
We had ribs-good, tritip sandwich was ok. Next table over ordered peach cobbler and didn’t like it. We didn’t try it. Server was very friendly and described the food well.
I think it was either yesterday’s chicken or maybe a pigeon—either way, my usual half-baked chicken with broccoli was awful. I didn’t say anything because I was with guests, but it really put me off chicken and woodranch for a while.
Atmosphere is great, service was good despite the restaurant being busy. The brisket was dry, flavorless and barely edible. Everything else about my experience was great. But you can’t run a barbecue restaurant with brisket THAT bad.
We ordered pick up for Valentine's Day/22 Anniversary. The ordering process was fine; put on hold several times while they checked availability of selections, which we appreciated. Of the 3 meals ordered, one entire meal was cold (veg burger wrap with sweet potato fries)- the patty had not been warmed up, fries cold - not even warm. Another, the side dishes were cold. (We picked up on time) Most disappointing were the desserts ordered - for Valentine's Day - that they double checked availability when we ordered. Of the 3, only 2 were actually in the bag. Of the 2 we got, we only received part of each dessert, and quality questionable. Definitely NOT what as described on the menu. Photo attached of what was received for dessert. The red velvet cake looked like a red hockey puck, it had been put in the container upside down. The chocolate cake looked like a donut. No sauces, nuts, whipped cream, ice cream included. Just sad pucks in plastic containers. And only 2 - one missing entirely. We called and they were apologetic and said they would credit us for 2 desserts, which was ok, but still really disappointing that we weren't told at time of ordering OR at the time of pick up, so we could stop on the way home and get something else for our celebration. So if you are going to pick up just meat items, you will probably get something wonderful and warm. If you want warm side dishes, anything edible for vegetarians in your party, or decent desserts - can't recommend.
Wood ranch has been a staple of the community for over decades. It has always been a reliable restaurant for good service and good food. I rated it five stars 3 years ago. It appears another great restaurant is falling victim to post covid struggles. I am only posting this review and photos since this is the second time in a row that my take out order is unedible! The vegan Patty was basically so overcooked it disintegrated. The classic burger patty was as hard as leather, despite being requested medium. Both of the buns were burnt to a charcoal black. The rest of the order was just as much of a disaster. You're better than this Wood ranch!
I am extremely disappointed with my visit today. The menu clearly states that the business lunch is served until 4:00 PM. I arrived at 3:55 PM, but was refused service on the grounds that it was too late. If an establishment sets timeframes, they should adhere to them. A waste of my time and a ruined mood. Photos from my past visit
This was one of the worst restaurants we have been to in a long time. For a place that prides itself on having good barbecue, it’s so disappointing. We got the Buffalo wings, tri-tip salad, and smoked brisket dinner, and literally the only thing that was good was the garlic bread that came out before everything else. Honestly, it’s pretty much impossible to mess up garlic bread though. The Buffalo wings had barely any sauce and tasted frozen (and even Pizza Hut has better Buffalo wings…these are certainly not “killer”), the tri-tip steak was extremely chewy and tough, and the brisket was the worst brisket we have ever had. Not moist, not tender, and it tasted like bland, boiled Dollar Store steak. Even the barbecue sauce that came with it wasn’t good!! How is that even possible?! The mac and cheese side was so different from Kraft mac and cheese, and the peanut Cole slaw was the only side somewhat decent. Ridiculously overpriced for the quantity and quality you get, and I cannot ever recommend this place. It’s like the owner visited Texas one weekend and thought they learned all there was to know about making good barbecue. Obviously, they did not. So avoid it!!
This is not the first time this place has done this. The bread was hard as a rock, completely inedible. That doesn't happen overnight. This was old food, period.\n\nIf you order takeout from here, un…

One day the center cut filet is $42 the next day it’s $49.99. Ridiculous
We were seating in the seat areas that didn’t open yet but for the next shift waiter so we were waiting for over 20 minutes without any waitress who walked by offered a help like a ignorant staff. The food Tri-tip and the butterfly steak pieces were dry and lack of sauce and butter or any ingredient that should. The broccoli pieces are burn and no green. The bread was not soft 3 buns in the basket. The waiter was friendly but not giving a very good service. Not impressive place to eat food. The place was not busy as it should have been either at around(12-1pm) . They might not consider themselves as a good restaurant and job! We left tips for they absolutely want it.
Ordered take out, the bread (which I had to pay extra for) was stale and they forgot to put any sauce on the tri tip Sandwhich, so it was just cold dry meat and bread. Since it was delivery, I can't comment on the service, but the food was severely underwhelming for the price. $30!! For a stale dry dinner! Do better.
We were told by the server that the brisket was the best cut of meat to order that night and it came out like shoe leather; tasteless and grey. One person got the tri-tip and that was a winner. Not sure what's going on at Wood Ranch these days but clearly the quality of food and service is swirling around the drain. Very disappointed! We've been eating at Wood ranch for 20 years and this was the absolute worst food and meat provided!
I have been going here for a long time and have always loved to come. Ordered the cheeseburger sliders and they came raw, sent it back to the kitchen and it came back with bites in it completely charred. They put the bitten meat back on the grill where everyone’s food gets cooked! The broccoli was hard and not cooked as well. Unfortunately I will not be coming back.
Phooey on Wood Ranch BBQ! While dining here, the manager went out of his way to bother videographers on a public sidewalk. Police were called, but the videographers were not on their property, and they were within their First Amendment rights. I guess the manager and Wood Ranch do not like the Constitution! Shame on you!
