Visiting Palao Restaurant in La Roqueta is a unique experience in Acapulco. The trip begins with a pleasant boat ride across the bay, immediately enveloping you with spectacular scenery and that fresh sea air that captivates you. The beach in front of the restaurant is simply beautiful: crystal-clear waters, soft sand, and a relaxed atmosphere that invites you to enjoy yourself without rushing. It's the perfect place to spend the day surrounded by sun, sea, and good company. The service is warm and attentive; the staff is always committed to ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable experience. Its à la carte menu offers food and drinks that are even more enjoyable with the ocean view and the sound of the waves as a background. In short, Palao is the ideal spot to experience Acapulco at its most charming: beach, sea, and Mexican hospitality.

I went there with my friend. To reach there we need to take a boat ride which we can book in advance or last minute. It’s beautiful island restaurant with some fresh seafood. Sitting arrangement with Breathtaking views. Gracias Restaurante Palao!

Food is delicious, staff are friendly, and the atmosphere is amazing. Went there in September, they even had a show going on with traditional aztec dancing, made my day 😊

Outstanding bar on the water. Cold beer and tasty shots of tequila. We then followed the trail through the woods to a beach that was totally awesome with a fantastic snorkeling. 🍻🥃🍺🍹🍸💑🌞🌴🌊🏄‍♂️🏊‍♂️🤙🇲🇽🌅👍

I never imagined finding such a beautiful place in Acapulco. I liked that the group size was limited, so you could enjoy the place more. The package we bought included snorkeling equipment, which I recommend because the water is very clear and you can see lots of fish. We really enjoyed the food we chose; I ordered red snapper and my husband ordered spicy shrimp, both delicious. The drinks could be better. I'm not giving it 5 stars because I wish the stay could be longer. The tour included the glass-bottom boat tour, food, and an open bar.

It's an unparalleled adventure with the tour that shows you the homes of celebrities. The dishes are delicious; the shrimp are amazing. Order the red snapper and the BBQ chicken. Everything comes with a side of rice, like paella, and vegetables. You can snorkel in their private little beach; it's a place for the whole family.

Good place to visit, cheaper than the other restaurants in the island.s Shipping in boat from Caleta beach, good food service and drinks.

We had them mix the camarón and pulpo cocktails - the combo was really good.

Great food and awesome service! The place itself might need a little bit of fixing but amazing over all!

The food and drinks aren't that great, but the place is incredible. There's no more beautiful spot, from the boat ride to get there. The snorkeling and walking tour of the island are excellent. The service is great, and the bartender is also awesome.

The price-performance ratio leaves much to be desired. At first glance, the place is nice. The bathrooms are run down, dirty, and there's no toilet paper. The food is poor relative to the price. You won't enjoy the open bar because of the short time you're there if you're on a tour. The crew on the glass-bottom yacht are rude. Everyone asks for tips as if they deserve them.

3 stars for the fact that it's still there. Very cool looking, retro tiki style place, very old but hasn't fallen into the ocean yet. Drinks are OK, view/ambiance is one of a kind, food is comparable to your drunk uncle's fish bake.

I'm going to be very realistic. The place is private, but mmm... The food was just okay, seriously, just okay. What's stopping them? Why don't they invest in good dishes? The drinks were super watered down. They charged me 1250 pesos per person for being there from 11 to 5. They charged me more because they said I was supposed to finish at 3. Seeing other reviews, nobody else was charged what I was. The bathrooms were awful. Dirty, ugly, unhygienic, there's nowhere to rinse off. The cherry on top: the cashier was super rude to the employees, just awful. It has a lot of potential if they invested in it, but it's completely neglected. The only advantage I see is that you're not surrounded by so many people from La Roqueta Island, which is right next door, but even so, don't be fooled by TikTok videos, which is where I found the place, because it's nothing like what they say. It was supposed to be a place where they played salsa and good music, but it was nothing like that. They really should be realistic and not mislead people.

We bought a Premium package, but when we went to the bar, they refused to serve us the drinks that were included. The organization is poor, and the food quality isn't the best. Another area for improvement is the lack of facilities to rinse off seawater, which detracts from the Premium experience. The beach itself is quiet, though, and you can have a pleasant time there.

They sell it to you as a top-notch experience, but the place is extremely neglected. The restrooms are in terrible condition and filthy, the furniture is broken, and the food is awful! For me, the only worthwhile things are the small private beach and the staff's attention; they treat you very nicely, but even the drinks aren't good... I wouldn't go back!

Terrible beach, horrible place to come. It's more like a wading pool. Leaving the island is super early, don't waste your time and money, please.

We arrived and were told there was no food service because the kitchen was swamped with orders, only drinks, which weren't very good, to be honest. The bathroom was in terrible condition. The beach is nice, but you're not missing much.

I honestly don't recommend it and it's not worth the 550 you pay. Honestly, when you board, it's nice and the boarding staff is very attentive, funny, and charismatic. However, when you get to the restaurant, they say it's a buffet, but it's not. They only give you a plate of food and two slices of watermelon, which isn't very good. That's all the buffet includes. The open bar is just a matter of going up to the bar and asking for service, which is kind of bloody. The waiter's service was very good and attentive. The beach had a lot of waves and you were swept away, but it had been raining a few days before, so that's probably why. We also paid for snorkeling, where we were told that a teacher who looked pretty stoned would teach us, and that it would be an hour-long class, which was, oh, 20 minutes at most. The bathrooms were very sloppy, so they take you out, but they don't put you in. I'll take one souvenir from Palau with me: a drunk.

A total mess and a total scam. The advertisement mentioned a buffet and an open bar for soft drinks. It wasn't a buffet at all. They served you a plate of fried mojarra (mini), dirty, unwashed cabbage (it had mold), red spaghetti that stank of stagnant water, and BURNT yellow rice! I complained to them about the buffet, and the waiter arrogantly and rudely replied, "Tell me what you want me to serve you more of," of the horrible side dishes already served, as if the rest weren't going to be the same. A disgusting place.
