Rosa María Acapulco Reviews
We decided to visit Puerto Marqués, and at the entrance, a man approached us and told us about this restaurant. He said that if you ate there, parking and use of the palapa were free, and they honored that promise completely. I ordered a delicious and generous shrimp cocktail. The owner was incredibly friendly and let us stay until 8 pm, which is when we decided to leave. Our experience was very pleasant in every way. As a recommendation, go after 4 pm on a weekday to avoid the crowds. That said, the beach was a bit dirty 😢 We had to remove a bottle of penetrating oil that was floating in the sea, and we also saw a plastic container. It almost didn't make you want to go in the water.
Excellent place to stay if you're going to Puerto Márquez. Mrs. Guille will take care of you. They have taxi service, guided boat tours, a two-story restaurant, and a great atmosphere. The food portions are quite generous.
My experience wasn't as bad as the reviews I've seen, but they never tell you that the service charge is more than 10%, not even 10%. The food is okay, the price is reasonable, but the space is very small.
The fried fish is good, and the view is beautiful. The big problem is the very poor hygiene with the dishes, the bad service from the staff, and the excessive amount of oil used in the preparation.
The worst place to go. The promoters don't tell you that all consumption is per person and mandatory, there's no variety on the menu, the service is slow, and yet they still ask for a tip.
The place is nice, but the service is terrible. They don't tell you that you have to order main dishes to avoid paying for the palapa and chairs; appetizers don't count. This depends a lot on the number of people in your party. The beach was disgusting and full of trash. You have to order food an hour in advance, they don't keep accurate records, and you have to keep a close eye on your bill and, if possible, take a picture of the menu. If they open separate tabs, it's even worse because they get confused and then come looking for you outside to collect payment. The bathrooms and showers were disgusting. I don't recommend it. Awful service.
We came to this place because some family members were already there. We explained that we were accompanying relatives who were already inside. The waitress service was bad; she was constantly on her phone and didn't pay attention to our orders. The food was good, but the portions weren't very large. The prices were reasonable, enough to enjoy all day. However, when it came time to pay, if you didn't order food, they charged a $200 service fee, even though your family had ordered food. This is really bad, especially since they ask for separate checks to avoid problems with what you order. The bathrooms were dirty and didn't have toilet paper.
We booked the group package, and there was a lot of lack of coordination on the part of the employees. The food was scheduled for 3:30 and they finished serving it after 5:00 p.m. The waiters weren't rude, but they were slow.
Be VERY CAREFUL about accepting "PACKAGES" for tours with "included" food. The package costs 350 pesos per person (which includes the bay tour and food). To start, they gave me the food as an appetizer (they gave me very little). The broth only had 4 pieces of shrimp, and the octopus a la diabla only had 6 slices. The cocktail was small with 4 pieces of shrimp, and the mojo mojarra was flavorless and very small. We complained, but the owner is very despotic, as are the boatmen and the waitresses. We told them we wouldn't recommend them, and they said they didn't care. At another table, they forced them to give a 30% tip and also charged them 100 pesos for parking plus 300 pesos for not meeting the minimum consumption. I do not recommend the restaurant.
From the moment you drive down the avenue, the staff practically swarm you, trying to force you to hand over their card and information (they literally stand in the middle of the avenue and won't budge). They promise you a lot and then pressure you to park your car in the lot. The place is unhygienic, the food takes over an hour to arrive, and if you don't meet the minimum spend, the staff's attitude changes completely. They rudely point out the fine print on the menu (which we were already aware of). They demand a 30% tip. Additionally, the beach is overrun with jet skis, whose operators don't seem to care about tourists. I recommend going to the terrace at the beginning of the port instead.
They have promoters who suggest places and take you to the restaurant. There's a minimum spend; otherwise, they charge 300 pesos. A 10% tip is mandatory, although there was no such service at any point. They only stopped to ask for the bill, and not once did they ask if I wanted anything else, much less anything else. The food is poor. I ordered a beer, but since it was lukewarm, I asked for ice. When I said I had a cooler, they told me I had brought my own. I told them I unfortunately didn't have any ice, and reluctantly, they brought me a small cup. I was going to ask for a bucket, but when I suggested they bring me ice, they said they would give me a small amount or if I preferred, I should buy a bag at the store. I wouldn't be back.
The food isn't very appetizing, the service is very slow, and they force you to order at least one dish per person; otherwise, they charge you for the table. They have several promoters who take you directly there just to make a sale.
Terrible service, very expensive for the amount of food served, extremely greasy, we paid in advance and the service took forever, and the fish they brought wasn't even washed. Unfortunately, a terrible choice on our excursion, and a terrible recommendation from the tour guide.
The place has a good view, the service is also good but despite the fact that Mrs. Guille told us that they took care of the safe distance, in approximately an hour they saturated the place with pure large families added to that the number of vendors is excessive {I understand that it is due to the economic situation that is going on at the moment} but seriously the number of vendors that approach is excessive and many do not wear face masks 🙁 the moment came when the beach could not be seen due to so many people inside the restaurant, our stay was not pleasant at all, we were there for approximately two hours we left as soon as the place was full and since we only ordered two drinks and a bucket of beer which we did not finish, they told us that we had to pay 350 for the use of the table and for not consuming food 🤨 apart from the use of the parking lot 🤷♀️ in short, a bad experience
