Terraza Cha Cha Chá Acayucan Reviews
One of my new favorite restaurants in Mexico City. The view overlooking the revolution monument is a great backdrop for your meal. The staff is professional and friendly and I loved they provided new plates and silverware for every course. The food is what cemented my impression of the restaurant. I would recommend the octopus tacos and entree and the rib eye tacos. I will definitely be coming back every time I’m in Mexico City!
We enjoyed a wonderful dinner at this rooftop restaurant. To start, we had the Chicarrón del Parque (tuna) and the Aguachile Negro (octopus), followed by grilled shrimp and the Cha Cha salad. Everything—the food, drinks, service, and atmosphere—was excellent, making it a perfect evening for two. The views of the plaza at night were spectacular, especially from our table overlooking the square.
Terraza Cha Cha Cha was one of the best place I ate on this trip. The service was excellent from the time I walked in to when I left. The view was great and it's a perfect spot to grab a drink and look out over the city. All of the food I had here was well cooked and had great flavor. The salsa with the chips was especially good. As mentioned before the service was very good here, everything was brought out quickly and it was never hard to ask the staff for anything.
Great atmosphere, food and views! What else can you ask for? Very nice place with super nice cocktails. Do not miss the cantarito. Super refreshing and tasty. This place is perfect for a celebration or family or work reunion. Take some pictures from the terrace. Super nice sunset!
Overall, the food is excellent—very flavorful and representative of traditional Mexican cuisine. The salsas are delicious and quite spicy if you’re not used to heat, but if you are, they’ll feel fairly mild. I highly recommend ordering a couple of entrées to start before moving on to your main dish. The portions are generous and perfect for sharing, which is ideal because the food is so good you’ll want to try as many dishes as possible. The drinks are also outstanding. They offer a wide selection of tequila-based cocktails that feel very traditional and pair perfectly with the meal—and the amazing view. Speaking of the view, that alone is worth the visit. The view of the Monumento a la Revolución is absolutely stunning, especially at sunset and into the night. I recommend going between 5:00 and 7:00 PM—that’s the sweet spot. The restaurant does get very busy, so reservations are strongly recommended, especially if you want a table with a view (which I highly suggest). Service is good overall. Because the place is often packed, service can be a bit slower than at a typical Mexican restaurant, but Mexican hospitality is among the best in the world—and they definitely deserve the tip. Overall, enjoy the experience. If you’re vegetarian, the esquites are a great option. If you’re a meat lover, the tacos de lengua are an excellent choice.
Food was good. I had the Barbacoa de Picanha which came with tortillas. There was some electrical problem and the lights kept going off every few minutes. The hostess downstairs let us know this before we entered the elevator. Great views of the Rebulica monument especially from the outdoor terrace. Their churros were not very good, as they were not fresh out of the fryer.
Amazing cocktails, cute vibes, and the lengua tacos and bone marrow were on point. The cauliflower could’ve used more salt. Service wise, they weren’t very friendly nor attentive to my table of two. Kind of felt ignored 🥲 They weren’t that busy either. Which is a shame because I really enjoyed the food and atmosphere. Overall I’d recommend if you want a nice dinner, drinks, with good views. Just be prepared to be more proactive with your server.
Food was great at this rooftop restaurant. I’d love to come back. However service (my service at least) wasn’t so good. I was sitting down for 20min before anyone gave me attention and I had to ask for the menus. Also it was a bit slow. However the food is great, a bit pricey compared to other places but worth visiting.
They only have a great view. Food is average and the staff simply don’t let you enjoy the food in your own time. They are always around taking things off your table and asking if you want something else. I was planning a very special moment for me and my partner at that place since it was our last night in the city but we had an awful experience (and paid over 1,000 pesos still). I do not recommend at all.
