Lupe Tortilla Addison Reviews
Lupe Tortilla is Amazing! The food and service is always great in Addison. If you are looking for some of the best Tex Mex style Mexican food in Texas - look no further! For the price Lupe's can not be beat! The fajitas & ribs are amazing! 🤤 The all you can eat fresh chips, salsa and beans are mouth watering good! I really love how they go out of the way to offer this complimentary - the beans are out of this world good! Just try them and you will know!
Impeccable service, food and cocktails. Amari at the bar , was friendly and personable and made great recommendations. We will definitely return.
A bit pricey, but everything is scratch kitchen cooked, and absolutely delicious. Try the Carne Asada WITH an extra fried egg for breakfast, the BBQ ribs for appetizer, and do not miss out on the filet mignon fajitas. Thirsty? Get yourself a Black Barrel Margarita. Oh, and THE TORTILLAS. My goodness. Price per person in my review is due to my work partner and my socializing at the bar!
I am so impressed. This restaurant is one you will definitely miss if you do not at least try it once. I have had a lot of Mexican food that I loves in my life but this one is tge best without question. The customer service is absolutely Stellar. I love how the atmosphere is in alignment with my meal. The food was absolutely amazing. I will be back with other people and if the Metrocrest Chamber Of Commerce hasn't added this location to the of Addison. All of Dallas should know to stop here. Thi food is flavorful and real. You can tell the chef chooses the vegetables and meat cuts. Amazing delicious!
Can I just say how amazing this was. I asked if my omelet could just be made into a scramble and if not it wasn't a big deal. Not only did the chief so kindly make this but the manager came out to see if I enjoyed it. Taking these extra steps to ensure your customers are satisfied is what makes a restaurant. Come enjoy not only a great meal but the exceptional service. You won't be disappointed 😀😀😀
Had the trio fajitas. The flavor was excellent, and the meat was actually grilled. The seasoning was bold, and the flavors easily discernable from each other instead of just a glaze of some thing on the meat. The rice is unique and tasty. The chips just average but the salsa was obviously something made with care and had amazing flavor. The price was high for me personally but they were not stingy with the portions by any means.
Great atmosphere. Food is plentiful and delicious. Kids food is great and they get a free ice cream to boot. Margaritas are delicious if not a tad pricey but they have breakfast and lunch and dinner. My flat enchiladas were just like back in el paso. Great day date with my daughter. (She didn't have a margarita)
Pepe was wonderful. He checked on us often and made sure we had what we needed. We will definitely be back!
Absolutely excellent! From the food to the management. My wife and I had received some not great pieces of beef with our fajita dish and the manager was gracious enough to replace all the beef in an instant! Top notch customer service with excellent tasting food! We will be back‼️
The food was served hot and flavored by the taste bud Gods. With very little wait time, while seated at the fully stocked bar, I enjoyed a tasty adult beverage. 🍷 🍺. The wait staff was prompt and efficient. Authentic food is hard to find unless you're at Lupe Tortilla Mexican Restaurant anytime .
Holy. Guacamole. Have you tried this place? Your answer needs to be YES. Hands down the BEST Mexican food in all of Dallas. I hate saying that since DFW has had some family staples for awhile, but Lupe Tortilla gives them a run for their money. I've been here 4 times now since they've opened and I can never get enough. Every entree I've had has been better than the last. The Beef Fajitas are to die for. Try the Tortilla Soup. Or any Tacos. Any enchiladas. Chips, awesome. Salsa, perfection. Queso, guac, tortillas, flawless. I am beyond happy we have a new frontrunner in town. I don't even mind the occasional wait time during the weekend (I almost never wait in line for a restaurant). The asthetic is grand and the staff is so happy and helpful. I love you Lupe Tortilla!
It was a beautiful day and my sister and I really wanted to have margaritas on a patio. My sister found this spot on Yelp but unfortunately it was too windy and not enough sun to sit on the patio so we sat in the booth. The manager greeted us at our table since it was our first time there. He offered us a sample of their number one seller, a steak fajita. The gesture was nice, but unfortunately we don't eat meat so we couldn't try it out. He did bring us the vegetarian menu to look at. We each ordered a perfect margarita while we decided what we were going to eat. We wanted nachos but didn't see anything on the vegetarian menu. They did however have veggie fajitas that we asked to be made into nachos. The manager came over and gave us a couple options which was appreciated. We also ordered some gucamole. We had chips and salsa that we received when we first sat down. The salsa was very flavorful and tasted fresh. The gucamole was good, one of the better batches we've had while in Texas. The perfect margarita was better than expected. When we got our nachos we were surprised. We were expecting stacked nachos which is usually served. The nachos we got was a half order and it was 6 chips loaded with veggies, black beans, and cheese. Jalapenos were on the side. The nachos were good but I wish the jalapenos were mixed in rather than on the side. Our second, and third, round of drinks I had the frozen rita with a grand marnier floater while my sister had it on the rocks. These were drinks were really really good, hence why he had two lol. I definitely recommend giving this place a try.
We catered Lupe Tortilla for my daughter's Varisty Cheer dinner and it was nothing short of amazing. From the moment I placed the ordered, picked up the food and all the yummy food compliments all the girls gave. They were beyond accommodating and I can't speak more highly from start to finish! Definitely a 5 star experience!
I've been to a few of the Lupe Tortilla locations around the metroplex and no matter which location I go to, they do not disappoint! Came here after brunch because my group wanted to keep day-drinking 😂 Our server was so nice, we sat at a table at the bar and she made sure to keep an eye on us but not crowd us because we were just drinking! We ended up getting the Blueberry Pomegranate 'Rita, a few Margarita Flights, Black Barrel Margaritas, and a few shots because we were committed to keep the day going. The drinks were amazing and the chips and salsa as well as the tortillas (especially the corn tortillas) were good as always. We had spent quite a few hours at the restaurant and didn't feel like we were being rushed or looked at sideways for being there a while, which I appreciated. This time around we nibbled on some Guacamole, Queso, and the Fajita Nachos Con Poblanos and it was all very delicious. I recommend any Lupe Tortilla to anyone looking for a good Tex-Mex restaurant because they have not disappointed me yet, with drinks, food, or service!
DELICIOUS chicken fajitas!!! The marinade and grill marks make it my favorite. The salsa is fresh and the tortillas are huge! The entire place is clean and the staff are super friendly
So similar places like On the border do not compare to Lupe's. The food was amazing, full of flavor and so worth the money. This was my first time going and the staff were nice, the restaurant was clean and overall just a wonderful lunch. Definitely will be going again for brunch sometime in the future
Great Tex-Mex at reasonable price for Dallas proper, though $8 per taco seems high to me. Very good house margaritas. Chips and salsas are gratis with your meal.
We were all very happy with our visit last night and can't wait to return. The theming and ambiance is 100% on point. I love the mix textured faux walls, the lighting choices - everything. I only got a few really crappy pictures but plan to take more the next time we go. The food was excellent. When they bring your chips and salsa, you also get beans that are AMAZING. One downside was the limited choices on grilled veggies to sub the rice and beans (for a low carb diet) but my poblano chicken entree was WONDERFUL. The kids menu includes a small blue bell ice cream cup (vanilla or chocolate) with purchase which was great for enticing our 4 year old to finish his food and his portion size of mac and cheese was perfect for him. He ate every bite. The boys also got the ice cream taco and shared it, it was huge and they said it was delicious. We will be back!
The barbacoa fajitas were some of the best I've ever had! Also tried the tableside guacamole and it was delicious as well. The server was very friendly.
It was our first time at this location and it did not disappoint. The food was excellent and our server was amazing. If we are ever back in the area again, we will definitely go back.
I'm updating my rating of food from 4 to 5 stars. I've never had the fajitas until there was a company function and Lupe Tortilla was catered for us; WOW!! The beef fajitas were literally the best I've every enjoyed!
One thing I can say about this place is that the staff pays attention to you soon as you walk in the door. As soon as I got to the door one of the staff members asked if it was my first time coming to Lupe tortilla, and I said yes. When I sat down not even five minutes later there was a fajita sample waiting for me to try as it was my first time visiting this restaurant. Then I was able to take my order and try the fajita nachos with poblano and also the enchiladas which was a recommendation from the waitress. I was catered to throughout my whole experience and there was never a time where someone forgot to give me a refill or ask how I was doing. I would highly recommend this place because they take customer service seriously and their Covid precautions are very good. Their staff wear masks and their sanitizer everywhere and the partitions help keep everybody separate.
I really enjoyed dinner here! Very clean, awesome atmosphere and very attentive. The manager Jose was awesome stopped by our table and chatted with us definitely appreciate the presence because far to many establishments lack hospitality. Our server Jared was awesome as well next time I'm in Dallas I know where I'm going. Great food and drinks!
We have only been to the location in San Antonio, TX. We have been going every time we have visited in the last 5 years. This was our first time at this location off Belt Line Rd. The re was no wait for our family of six, and surprisingly everything was pretty quick. The hostess and waitress were very friendly and the food was as amazing as the one we ate at in San Antonio. We ordered the beef fajita (1 lb.) and it was plenty for four of us. We ordered the kids chicken flauta plate and a kids beef fajita soft taco plate and our kids devoured it! I also ordered their Piña Colada drink and it was delicious! It was a little too strong for my taste, but that could be because I haven't had alcohol in a few months, but nonetheless, it was tasty! I definitely will say that their food here did not disappoint at all, and we are do happy! Now, we have another Lupe's to go to if/when we are in the area!
**A Tex-Mex Dream Come True at Lupe Tortilla in Addison!** When friends visit from out of state and crave authentic Tex-Mex, where else would we go but Lupe Tortilla? From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the staff's friendliness set the tone for a fantastic evening. Our server, Sara, went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable—she even arranged for an extra table and gave special attention to the little one in our group. We kicked things off with a creamy queso appetizer, setting the stage for the star of the show: the fajitas and shrimp. Let me tell you—oooh, they were absolutely divine! The meal was brimming with fresh guacamole, flavorful rice, and perfectly seasoned beans. I was skeptical about the thinner tortillas at first, but wow—what a surprise! Light and not overly doughy, they were the perfect complement to the meal. To top it all off, the manager, Danielle, stopped by to introduce herself and see if everything was to our liking. When we mentioned it was our friend Jess’s birthday, she made the evening unforgettable by personally delivering a decadent Tres Leches cake. The entire experience was so amazing that when we got home, all my friends could talk about was the incredible food, outstanding service, and the lovely atmosphere at Lupe Tortilla. This place truly knows how to leave a lasting impression. Highly recommended!
Oh wow It was superb as soon as we walked in the Restaurant!!! Service was great plenty of salsa and cheese dip is good , atmosphere is amazing . It’s really nice in here , The staff are very gown up and professional Food was delicious and homemade finger licking GOOD ., like my great great grandmother was cooking here !!! You’ll be satisfied I’m pretty sure Try it you’ll like it here .,! God Bless these folks and all. In Jesus Christ Name I pray and all his people SAID AMEN 😇🙏
The food was delicious and well portioned, everyone was friendly and very helpful with recommendations and suggestions. The salsa although not too spicy was very flavorful and didnt taste like a jarred salsa you’d get at a cheap restaurant. Tons of tex-mex options as well high quality fajita selections. The desserts are fantastic!
Great ambiance. We got the chicken Lupe and also the chicken Lupe with shrimp. Both were great. They brought us some beef fajita samples as well since it was our first time and that beef was so tender and flavorful. Definitely will go back. Oh, also had the blueberry and pomegranate marg. It was definitely different but very good too. Glad we tried a new place for us. Definitely recommend.
Though we have tried few other options at Lupe but I personally feel it has the fajitas in Dallas. Service is top-notch where you are well taken care of. This restaurant is awesome and one of the best in Dallas. Highly highly recommend!!!
I fell in love with this place as soon as I enter the restaurant, the old rustic decorations caught my attention it just awesome. The server also was great Kathryn if I don't misspelled her name she was so attentive and give me a good recommendation with fajitas. I will definitely come back to try breakfast.
This was our third visit to Lupe Tortilla, and once again the food did not disappoint, the Steak Fajitas were absolutely delicious! However, this is our first time leaving a review because we finally experienced exceptional service. Our server, Pepe, was attentive, kind, and had a great sense of humor. He truly went above and beyond to make our dining experience enjoyable. If you visit Lupe Tortilla, be sure to ask for Pepe he’ll take great care of you!
Coming from Houston, i was absolutely excited to hear that Lupe was finally coming to Dallas. Decided to visit the place on my wife's birthday and it did not disappoint! The mango chilli margarita was one of the best I have had. We ordered Grilled Chicken Jalapeno and Red Enchiladas, both of which were amazing. The chicken was unbelievably tender, wish I knew the secret to their marinade! We finished the meal with a dessert - brownie with vanilla ice cream, which was okay. Will surely be back!
I’m cannot say enough about this place. The absolute best fajitas you’ll have ever! They raised and set the bar extremely high. You’ll think twice before eating fajitas anywhere else. Fast and friendly service. Clean and friendly environment. Update: They still hold the bar the highest on their fajitas! 08/05/2023
Went there a few weeks ago, but didn’t order the fajitas and just knew that I couldn’t review Lupe’s without trying what they do best - so, I returned and got the fajitas - actually, got a little extra - beef and chicken fajitas, sausage and ribs! Wow!!! The fajitas were amazing, the sausage was incredible and the ribs were a little over cooked - but all in all, this is a great place for outstanding Mexican food. Service is excellent, chips and salsa are great and the food really is outstanding. Little pricier than other places - but worth it. And, even though the chicken enchiladas were great, make sure you start with the fajitas when you go!
Carne Asada Fajitas were out of this world. Bacon wrapped pepper shrimp was also phenomenal. Top 3 best Tex mex I have ever had.
We eat at a Lupe Tortilla location in or around Dallas every time we’re in town. Some of the best Tex Mex we’ve had. I can’t recommend the steak fajitas & tableside guacamole enough.
I can’t say enough good things about this restaurant. I had the crab stuffed shrimp with cheese and poblano cream sauce. They came with beans and rice. They arrived on a sizzling hot dish. The cheese was melted to perfection. The refried beans were not your average but spicy and flavorful. I forgot to mention that I was served chips, delicious beans with crumbled sausage and a very good, spicy salsa. Everything was so good. The shrimp were big and the melted cheese was creamy and tasty. The food remained piping hot the entire time I was eating. I ordered a small side of guacamole. It was delicious. I also had a cold Dos Equis draft beer. My server, Sylvia, was so attentive and friendly. I enjoyed my food so much that I got a takeout order of chipotle BBQ ribs with beans and rice. I tasted the ribs. They melted in my mouth. I also got the praline brownie with ice cream to go. I haven’t tried that yet. They included a huge bag of chips. If you’ve never eaten here get there as fast as you can. I highly recommend the restaurant.
I visited Lupe Tortilla last week and wanted to share my experience. It was my first time there, and I was so pleasantly surprised — it definitely won’t be my last. The food tasted amazing, and the quality was outstanding. Honestly, they were the best enchiladas I’ve ever had. The drinks were just as impressive and definitely put me in a great mood. What truly made the experience exceptional, though, was the service. The staff made us feel like we were having dinner with friends and family. I can’t wait to go back!
I've been to Lupe Tortilla several times and I wanted my husband to try it out. He's typically not a fan of trying new places, but he agreed. When we sat down and he was going over the menu, the first thing he said is "they don't have cheese enchiladas". Oh great, first strike... I told him to ask the server if they could make them. When it came time to order, Brandon who was excellent, went over all the options with my husband and even helped me choose what I wanted. He didn't hesitate to make any alterations to our meals, as a matter of fact he specifically asked us if we had any alterations. Now, in my mind, that is great service. Food was wonderful, service was excellent and my husband is a fan and even said, we will put this on our regular rotation. Thank you, Brandon and Mike (one of the mangers that stopped by to make sure everything was to our liking). We will be back!
Food was delicious! We ordered fajitas for two and we're very happy with the quantity of food. We were initially surprised at the size of the tortillas served but once we saw how thin they were, it was not too much bread.
Walking in on a weekend I can say it was a bit too loud, but we were able to speak and not yell from across the table. We were celebrating two birthdays and the staff came out to sing to the children, and they loved it. They also brought out free flan for the birthday kids to share. The service was excellent. The food was authentic Mexican and delicious. The chorizo queso was to die for, try it when you go out there. We will definitely be back.
I was very pleased with all the staff on Saturday January 10th. My family were meeting after my cousins funeral and we had a party of 16. The server and manager made sure that we were all attended to the whole time. And the food was delicious. Better than I’ve had at other Lupe Tortillas in San Antonio. The grilled jalepenos were amazing on the fajitas. Thank you for taking care of us.
Elizabeth was our waitresses and she was amazing kind and over the top... 1st time to ever eat here, we had a party of 5 and wow, bot only did we get full; but we had lots of leftover to take with us. Elizabeth was an amazing host very blessed to eat and be served by her... Thanks Kramer
Have it never been here before We are impressed by the decor. Enchanted with the fresh Salsa, could not get enough of the Charro Beans. Not sure, but me delicious dinner was basically an Enchilada "lasagna"; my wife had an a la carte taco. She also loved the Charro Beans. We had Manager Mike and Manager Evan come by. We were happy to report that everything was delicious, served fast by super server Karen, and all combined for an. Excellent experience for our first experience. I look forward to the next visit.
First timer here. Went with my mother to have dinner while I was in town for work. We were greeted by the manager who was super kind. Our waiter Victor was very sweet and professional and he took very good care of both my mother and I. The food was delicious. We shared the Patron enchilada plate and barely was able to finish it. The cheese enchilada was great. The manager brought us over a sample of their fajitas and they were very flavorful and tender. This place was amazing and the hospitality exceeded all expectations. I look forward to coming back yhe next time I'm in town.
Top Tex Mex in Dallas we are so lucky to stumble across this beauty! Service is outstanding, we received complimentary tacos to sample. Recommend the beef fajitas the meat was delicious! The corn tortillas are the best I ever had thick and made onsite. The cocktails were reasonably priced and wow they are delicious recommend mango and pomegrate frozen margaritas!! Also very impressed with space and cleanliness you could see the bathrooms are checked every 15 mins and spotless. Would love to come again!
My son told us we had to go here, that his local friends told him about it so we went for dinner last evening and it was soooo good! Besides the food and margaritas being great, so was the service. From our waitress to the other staff that helped bring out meals to the manager who brought us a sample bc he heard we hadn’t been there before. We will definitely be back. Wish we had one closer to us in Frisco. The green enchiladas were delicious, flavorful and the roasted chicken was so soft and not dry. Loved the corn tortillas too along with their salsa and bean dip! Wish I took pictures of the margaritas and the margarita flight hubby had.
My partner tried Lupe’s for the first time at his workplace for catered lunch and ended up liking the fajita meat so much, he took me to try it too haha! We walked in and were sat down immediately. Our server Luis was so nice and was super attentive. The wait for our order was not long at all. I had the pollo espinacas and my partner had the fajitas again. Usually I’m not the biggest Tex-max fan but the meat was so moist and grilled to perfection. The tortillas were also warm and delicious. While we ate, a manager stopped by to ask us how we were doing and some other servers also made sure we had everything we needed. Our experience here was very good and we would definitely come back here again!
Went tonight for a family dinner not quite sure what to expect. We sat on patio and was greeted promptly by our server. We asked for some drink suggestions and went with a flight of Margaritas as there were lots of great choices. Ordered some Queso which ended up being my son's favorite. The server suggested the Maximo for our table of 5 (menu says feeds 3-4) but was more than enough and we even brought home leftovers. Everything was tasty. Great spot will return.
We got the lunch burrito and the spinach artichoke enchiladas 😋 they muy delicious and the portion so big i could hardly finish. Come here if you wanting Mexican food that will not disappoint. Also the manager brought us sample fajitas since it was our first time here and they just melted in the mouth. These guys know what their doing.
I can't speak for the whole menu, but I will say these are the best Nachos in Addison. Hands down. Bar none. Full stop. I wasn't sure about the description on the menu, but trust me when I say that you won't be disappointed. If you are looking for authentic nachos where it's not just a pile of brittle chips covered in slop, then this is the place. Absolutely delicious. The service was a bit lacking. Our server may have just been having a bad day, so I'll chalk it up to that without flaming them too much, but my drink was empty half the time. Not cool. But that was OK because the Nachos were amazeballs and that made up for it. I will be back. It loses a star for atmosphere because our table was unreasonably wobbly and the one scooted up to it was an inch shorter. That wasn't very convenient, but it didn't impact the Nachos at all. I will be back no matter how grumpy the servers are or how unstable the tables are. I'll eat these Nachos off my lap if I have to. They are the absolute best. Edit: 8/23/25. I said I would be back for the Nachos, and I came back. Still amazeballs!
Yanira was a very sweet and excellent waitress. Very attentive and the management team of Bayley and his supporting staff made this evening with my wife that much more enjoyable. The new house chili menu was very good and would highly recommend it. Tried their black barrel margarita and we have to say I’ll be coming back for more of those after Yanira recommended it.
I am going to share with you my exciting experience with this restaurant and show how delicious each part of my food was with my husband. So, starting with a tortilla chips with 3 different tastes of salsa and beans. The main menu is a lot so take it easy and just choose beef fajitas. It's a special test. Try it and believe me you enjoy it.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Incredible Service at Lupe’s Tortilla! We had an outstanding experience thanks to our server, Jordon, and his manager, Jagger. From start to finish, Jordon went above and beyond — friendly, professional, and incredibly attentive. He made sure we had everything we needed, gave great menu suggestions, and brought an energy to the table that made our meal even more enjoyable. Jagger also stopped by to check in, and it was clear the level of service starts at the top. He was just as kind, helpful, and committed to making sure we had a great time. Both Jordon and Jagger made us feel like valued guests, not just customers. Their service was top notch and we’ll absolutely be coming back because of them. Thank you both for making our visit so memorable!

Really great Tex-Mex with attentive service. I recently had Enchiladas & Eggs and they were perfect. Comfortable, pleasant ambiance with Latin music.

Lupe Tortilla, a 40-year restaurant chain from Houston, is finally here. Juicy, tender and flavorful Fajitas, chicken and Carne Asada -- cooked to perfection -- served with salsa, cheese, guacamole…
Great atmosphere, excellent service. The staff were friendly & our server went above and beyond. The manager came out to check on things, which is always a nice touch. Had the mixed fajita plate; the marinade on the beef fajitas is delicious. I would have like a few more grilled veggies to go with the meat, but everything was tasty. Tried the Blueberry Pomegranate rita; a bit sweet for me but still delicious .
The food and service were amazing. The server was prompt and very friendly. The manager brought over a sample beef fajita and it was delicious. The beef was tender and full of flavor. The green sauce chicken enchiladas were just as flavorful. I wasn't a fan of the rice. Next time we come, I'm getting the fajitas.
Recently opened and got to say.... pretty nice. The restaurant was nicely done with great dining area, small lounge to visit and share a cocktail or beverage with a large private room for private parties and a nice outdoor patio. The bar was roomy with a nice view of the whole restaurant. Food was pleasant and well priced for family to enjoy. The drinks were nice and desserts delicious. Variety of drinks with a happy hour for after work get togethers. With plenty of choices to dine at within the area .... give this place a try and I think you'll pleasantly surprised. 9/10/22: We stopped by for drinks and Kat greeted us. She was very friendly and we requested a table on the patio. After about 10 minutes, I asked Kat if we could sit at the bar, because the mosquitos were very active. She cheerfully assisted us and we sat at the bar. Dana was the bartender, and she was very friendly. We had a couple of beers and margaritas. The drinks were good. We had just had dinner, but we decided to order their queso with carne. It was pretty good. Dana shared with us that they had a scratch kitchen, and we saw several dishes that came out that made our mouths water. The restaurant was very clean. There was ample parking. We will definitely come back to sample their menu items! 9/21/22: We went back for a late lunch, and had a good time. It was not very busy. The food was nicely presented, and it was very good!
Overview: 4 stars by the time we walked out the door. Our experience started going direction of 2-3 stars, with food and service problems, but server turned it around and manager FULLY redeemed the overall experience. Details: My daughter and I were spending our last night of a quick vacation to Dallas by grabbing dinner at Lupe's. She ordered a very basic burrito, and at the recommendation of the server I ordered one of the house specialties: 1/2 lb. meat trio fajita platter (steak, chicken, and shrimp) and recommended house made flour tortillas. Chips and salsa were good. Charro beans were an extra plus. My daughter had this oddity where the server kept ignoring her drink - a glass of water that she had gotten from the bar prior to sitting down. She wasn't asked for a drink to my recollection and then wasn't asked/given any refills until we asked after the entrees arrived. For entrees, my daughter really enjoyed her burrito and rice/beans. The burrito was reasonably sized, maybe a little smaller than a Chipotle burrito. She asked for a number of things left out and a few things on the side. They hit about 80% of that ask. She is a bit particular on what she eats and was still good with what was in the burrito. She was a huge fan of the flavor. Big win! My fajitas were not as beloved. Considering it was a $24 fajita plate and a signature dish, I had some high hopes. The shrimp was pretty good. The beef and chicken, not so much. I had two slices of beef that had good flavor. The rest were overcooked, some with a flaky metallic sheen. The chicken was all overcooked and chewy. Note: the meat platter photo was taken after a few shrimp were eaten. Disappointment didn't stop with the meat. The plate really fell flat with its fajita veggies. It arrived with only a small spoonful of sautéed onions, two slices of excessively charred jalapenos, and one mini grilled red pepper. While the side of guac and shredded cheese were fine. The pico de gallo was flavorless and contained reddish/whitish chunks that were hard to distinguish between tomatoes and onions (in flavor and color). Disappointment moved to confusion when it came to the house made flour tortillas. The plate came with 4x 12-inch house made flour tortillas. These were the same tortillas used for my daughter's burrito. I now have 4x giant 12-inch tortillas and one tiny plate of fajitas. You would think that a place known for house made tortillas and house specialty fajitas, would have coordinated around making 6" tortillas sized for their fajitas instead of only 12" tortillas used for everything. When eating my first fajita, not surprisingly I found I was eating more tortilla than anything else. It didn't take long for me to eat all the food from the plate that I found appealing, and still find about half the plate full of food. Soon after, I asked our server for the bill and a to-go box for my daughter. The server asked if there were issues with my plate. I told her the truth about my meat being overcooked and chewy. I said it wasn't a big deal, we'd just get the check and go. To her credit, she alerted the manager who came over immediately. I was okay leaving and being a little irked that my $24 plate of fajitas was lousy. I explained the situation and the manager was great in listening. But the manager wanted to make sure she made the situation right - which I really applaud her for. She started by indicating that she was going to take it off my bill, which was wonderful. She also went out of her way to make additional offers including cooking another one up for me there and sending me home with another for later - which I both declined as I was full, and we were flying out the next day. Her offers were greatly appreciated though. It spoke to her customer service and care. At the end of the experience, the way the situation was handled by manager and server left both my daughter and I thrilled. I may not have loved how it started, but I did love the overall experience!
Tex Mex - Beef Fajitas with Grilled Vegetables arrived sizzling, flavorful, and medium rare (the way grilled beef should be prepared). Corn on the cob, substitute for beans and rice, would've been better without mayo or on side (of the plate), comes with a small side of pico, guac, queso, choice of thick corn, or flour tortillas bigger than your hand. Light flaky corn chips, and grilled vegetable salsa. Excellent service, routine manager visit. On the higher side for tex-mex, but overall pleased with quality and service. Restrooms need attention though.
We were visiting Dallas for the weekend from Florida and we’re desperate for some good Mexican food since there isn’t any in the entire state of Florida. Being from Colorado I’m very picky about Mexican food. It needs to have spice! Lupe tortillas fulfilled our desperate need for some good Mexican food! The food is outstanding! You can even go high end with some fajitas with exotic meat. The margarita I had was killer.! Service was outstanding. Highly recommend this restaurant.! Oh, my God salsa with cilantro in it!!
I personally think they have the best beef fajitas in Texas. They marinate them in lime juice forever and they are just absolutely amazing. The only thing I’ve ever gotten there. Also their flour tortillas are amazing super thin and taste like butter like nothing you’ve ever had before as far as tortillas go. They get four stars because for some reason their margaritas just aren’t good I’ve tried them all they don’t taste fresh they taste like chemicals just not good and very expensive. The food alone gets a five also great atmosphere and a good outdoor patio.
Could have given the food a better star but as you can see in this photo the Fish is drowning in the sauce and unappealing to look at. Don't get me wrong, the sauce was delicious but they could have used half and made it a perfect dish. To be safe order the Tilapia with the sauce on the side. This is our 2nd visit and both times service, atmosphere and food have been consistent. The flour tortillas 5 star!
Service was slow, probably because my friends chose to sit on the patio. My problem was my own since I have food adversions to Poblano peppers and Ancho sauce. 85% of their menu mentions one or the other. I couldn't eat the Tamales or other food I wanted. I ended up with brisket enchiladas with tomatillo salsa, kind of bland.
Pretty great little place. Our waiter, Jonathon (not sure if that was his name,) was kind and attentive. The food was worth taking home as leftovers. I seldom eat leftovers. The queso was good, but I probably wouldn’t order it again. I might try the compuesta if I go back. The star of the meal was the mexican corn. I cut it off the cob and it was divine.
Well-known Tex-Mex chain restaurant in Texas. This Addison, Texas, location was clean, well staffed, noisy, but fun. Having to fly out, I just wanted a small meal so I ordered the tortilla soup. The soup came out, piping hot with grilled chicken, tortilla strips, corn, tomatoes, cilantro, jack, cheese, poblano, peppers, and sliced avocado. It was a great combination however the chicken was over smoked or perhaps there was an additional spice used that threw the flavor off. It was not a dealbreaker, as I just dumped the bowl of that wonderful roasted salsa that they serve into the soup and it leveled out the flavors. Problem solved. They bring out a wonderful roasted tomato salsa, a bowl of beans with pork. This chips are just right with the perfect level of salt. Overall, good experience. Will return for a full meal.
Lupe tortilla is good. I do love the home made corn tortillas and they have great beef fajitas. I think it's over priced for Tex mex.

I thought the food was great. I enjoyed the fajitas but wish it had a little bit less lime taste. I love their salsa and beans with the chips.
9/10/22: We stopped by for drinks and Kat greeted us. She was very friendly and we requested a table on the patio. After about 10 minutes, I asked Kat if we could sit at the bar, because the mosqui…

My review of Lupe. I had the Enchiladas con salsa verde. Food was good, but still had something’s to desire, like more lime, more sour cream, and a bit more spice. Chips and salsa was good! Would I go back? Maybe. The price, 14 dollars for enchiladas and rice at the lunch menu is definitely a bit prices for the food. But flavors good and service was good.
I LIKE TACOS TOO 😭! The restaurant is aesthetically pleasing, the presentation of the food is spot on, but the food and the service could use some seasoning! The restaurant that use to be here was my favorite Italian Restaurant, The Macaroni Grill. So since I was in Addison, I decided to stop by and have some Tex-Mex. I mentioned to the hostess this was my first time at Lupe Tortilla. She gathered the menu and leaned over to a waitress (We will call V) to tell her this was my first time (Remember this for the end). I ordered a water and was quickly served chips with a decent salsa and delicious charro beans. After looking over the menu I settled on The Pablo Combo with a side of tortillas. Upon first sight everything looks appetizing but only the cheese enchilada and tamale had flavor. The taco meat wasn't bad but wasn't really anything to write about. The rice had a very strong smokey flavor to it and the refried beans were bland. But the tortillas were HUGE and homemade, I think. The service started off great and slightly dipped. After receiving my meal my glass was half full (lol choose your perspective) and it would not be refilled until I finished my meal and got the hostesses attention because my waitress was on the other side of the bar on her phone, then talking to co workers, then exited to the kitchen, etc... basically didn't look my way. And no there were maybe 8 customers in the entire establishment and a staff of 10 in the front, not including kitchen or buss boys. The icing on the cake was when the hostess sat a couple next to me. Before I began writing this the manager came by with a plate with two tacos on it and asked how everything was and as I was telling him it was "fine". The manager then turned to them and said, "I hear this your first time here so I brought you a sample of our tacos". Also as I write this their server and my server is back there eating. I can literally see V chowing down, on her phone and not paying attention to the free taco couple and myself. Still get's 12%. If you're reading this Mr. Manager this was my first time at any Lupe Tortilla and I like tacos too!!!!
I just went here for the first time. I love fajitas and wanted to try a new place. I ordered the beef fajitas and was quite disappointed. The way they served them was very different than any other place I’ve ever ordered fajitas from. The tortillas were like burrito size tortillas, not the usual fajita size you would expect. It does not come with any bell pepper slices and only came with about 2 tablespoons of grilled onion. It does come with a whole red jalapeño and one slice of serrano pepper, neither of which I wanted. If this is how this restaurant does their fajitas, fair enough, but we did tell them it was our first time there, so it would have been nice to get a heads up, like, hey, our fajitas are not like the fajitas at every other restaurant you’ve ever been to. It felt more like make your own beef burritos or something. The beef was good, but for $30 I wanted plenty of grilled onions and bell peppers with it. My craving for delicious fajitas was left unsatisfied.
Lupe Tortilla Mexican Restaurant is a budget friendly option with yummy dishes on their menu. I ended up here from the suggestion of a friend. The restaurant is right next door to Oakd Bbq (which I’ve eaten at as well). The restaurant had a nice inviting atmosphere. The servers were really nice . They made my friend and I feel very welcome. My server was very knowledgeable of the menu and and she also made good drinks! I started things off with a refreshing Frozen Pina Colada. It was creamy and oh so good. Of course, I had dos. 😉. My friend ordered a Frozen Strawberry 🍓 Margarita. I sampled it and it was good. Mine was better though. Both drinks were a decent size. ☺️ I moved on to the tableside guacamole and ribs for appetizers. The guac was decent. The ribs were better. The flavor was sweet and tangy . I liked them. I decided on the Salmon Sencillo for my entree. It was visually delightful. It is salmon over a bed of rice with pico de gallo on top. It was a good choice. I really liked their charro beans. They are REALLY good. I’m not even a bean lover like that. Trust me on this. My friend also had the Combination Fajitas. I didn’t taste them but my friend said they weren’t the best but were enjoyable . Overall, still good. I’ve already been back since my initial visit last month. Everything was just as good as the first time. I look forward to my next trip. Please check out Lupe Tortilla Mexican Restaurant because it is worthy of your time.
So we’ve been here quite a few times and everything has always been great. But tonight our server was not a good one to have, took 20 mins for a margarita and we were right next to the bar. We actually timed for our table side guacamole and it was 18 mins. I even asked him if he was new and said he has been there 2 years. We will be back but will request not to have him.
The food is great but the service is awful. sat at the bar and were a group of 5 out of 6 total people at the bar and couldn’t get the bartenders to pay attention to us. Manager was too busy doing inventory to care what was happening at the bar or restaurant. Had to ask for silverware 4 times before getting it ourselves from the hostess. Our meals were delivered without one of the side items for fajitas ordered. Bartenders never checked. Waitress that delivered the food didn’t question the missing part of the order. Had to walk to the other side to get their attention to ask. It’s so sad that the food is this good but the service sucks. Inventory is more important than paying clients. Couldn’t even get another drink.

Acoustics are bad plus loud background music makes having a conversation during your meal tough.
ATMOSPHERE - pleasant environment but busy during lunch. 4 STAR PRICING - Price was too high for the food portion served. --- $$$ --- SERVICE PROVIDED - Waiteress were too busy. She missed the order and came back after 25 minutes to reconfirm what we had ordered!. And she didn't apologize. We understood that it was busy but she could have been a little nice. FOOD QUALITY - Food was overpriced and it didn't taste as good as other authentic Mexican cuisine. Overall rating 6/10
Food is average tex-mex. My waiter dropped his disposable glove on the floor and picked it up, put it on, and proceeded to make table side guacamole, touching all the ingredients. I did not eat that. The waiter confronted the head of our party as to why they didn't tip more, which is unprofessional and rude.
Last night's visit was an utter disaster. It was almost unfair for any of the patrons to spend any money on their visit. The restaurant should have just closed for the evening because they were in …

Group of 5. 4 rated zero stars. 1 rated two star. The food was not good. I forced myself to eat a portion of the meal because I was hungry. The server and manager was kind enough to offer to not charge me for the meal. The place is nice but I'd rather visit On the Boarder to have a good meal.
Me and 2 of my staff come in to eat at the bar so we can get faster service. But we had to ask for everything. It took 30 minutes for the order. The food was maybe 3 star. The bartender took forever and I asked for my 3 drinks 3 different times I we got the bill. It was $97. I tipped $15. I left my staff. Heard the bartender say oh, he only tipped $15. Spokennoise after I left so our service was one star Wasn't worthy of leaving a tip? But I normally tip 20%. I just knocked 5% off, but her one star. Service was not worth it very poor bartender. She was busy, but she didn't look up time to make eye contact with any customer. She just ignored us, made her drinks very poor service, very poor attitude. She didn't appreciate fifteen dollars. She's lucky she didn't get a zerobeing aware I worth a5 star tip she was not a good bartender. I will not go back.
We have had 2 large catered events had two large parties in there party rooms a couple years ago. Since then the service and quality has gone down immensely. Tonight was the final straw.. We were seated and waited 15 minutes before we had to go ask for some help. After another 30 mins we received our food. Tacos.....not hard...... We called the manager over because my tacos had maybe a spoonful of meat. He then brought it back with a cheese added to it. I want to go on the record that the server that ended up helping us was very kind. I can't believe I'm saying this but I think Taco Bueno is a major step up from what I was served. So sad. 😥 The picture below is the one with the most meat.
Wait staff definitely needs proper training. Very unprofessional. One waitress even commented on what she was doing being unprofessional. I had to ask afew times to get clarification on a menu item and the waiter mentioned he was to busy. My cup had cracks in it as well showing things are not being checked for safety prior to reaching the table. Even if you are busy do not bust the table while customers are still sitting there. Don't hand customers hot plates over the table(for safety don't hand someone something hot to begin with). And sitting a family with young children next to the bar with a disruptive drunk individual is definitely not acceptable. There is definitely room for improvement if the managers listen to these comments. I'd love to visit again if staff gets better training.
Was told of a 10-15 minute wait. No problem. After 30 minutes of waiting we left. I received a text message 41 minutes after we initially check in. I completely understand wait times are estimates, but almost triple the time seems like little effort is being offered. The restaurant smelled great. Too bad we didn't get to try it.
WARNING: Do not eat at Lupe Tortilla if you value your health and money. My boyfriend and I have been coming here for years but over the past year, this place has gone downhill. Tonight, we spent $100 on a meal that could very well send my boyfriend to the hospital. The chicken was raw — not undercooked, but RAW. My boyfriend, who was hungry, started eating before realizing, and now we are worried that he could get sick. This is beyond unacceptable — it's dangerous. The rest of the meal wasn’t much better. The steak was awful, the queso had cold, unmelted clumps of cheese, and despite asking for extra onions and peppers, we didn’t receive any. Clearly, no care or attention went into preparing this food. If my boyfriend becomes ill, we will be holding this restaurant accountable. Stay away from Lupe Tortilla unless you want to risk your health.
Shrimp wrapped in bacon smelled so bad I couldn't eat it. Service was terrible. Delivered the wrong food to us. There was a manager or someone asking everyone if everything was OK. Thanks to him, everything turned out all right but the rotten shrimp. He has a long way to go to make the restaurant a place I would go again. The fajitas were decent after I got rid of the wrapped shrimp that came with it. Fake comes to mind as I think of the atmosphere.
