Taco Joint Addison Reviews
We tried Taco Joint for the first time today, and it was yummy. The staff were friendly, the restaurant was clean, and the restroom was clean. We went in for a late lunch, so we avoided the lunch crowd. It was really nice. My daughter and I each ordered a two taco combo. I had beef crispy, and she had street tacos. I can't wait to go back.
Update: We brought the whole family today to eat at our favorite local spot before the Texas Longhorns play Rice. This time tried the Breakfast Enchiladas and the Taco Combo also We are so glad we tried this new texmex place! Super friendly staff, very clean and tasty food! We had the spicy pulled pork taco salad and the Big B spicy pulled pork. Great flavor on the pulled pork with little fat, but it was very juicy. We will definitely be back!
This place is amazing. I tried the beef sirloin soft tacos, and a side of rice. The salsa taste good and paired well with the tacos I ate. The staff were friendly, and the service was excellent! I definitely will be going back to try more of the menu!!!
Back in Big D from out of town for work and eased in to the Preston location today. The trip was fantastic, Yesenia was my cashier and the service was fast and excellent. I was greeted by both her and the GM (didn’t catch his name) but everyone was super friendly and my food came up quick. I used to live by the original location and today did not disappoint! So glad I stopped by, everything was top notch. Even the playlist was perfect and I ended up looking up a few songs for my own playlist. Thank you guys and gals so much, will def be back in next trip!! Cheers! Mike G.
Fast service, good food and very affordable. For what is essentially a fast food place, this is a great option. If you like tacos (and if not, you're in the wrong state) this is a nice, clean, reasonable place to eat. We will definitely be back.
Such a great pick up and go taco place. You’re able to order online and pick up within 10 mins- the staff has always been super friendly and even offered us free fountain drinks and chips on the side. Very reasonable in pricing as well. The restaurant is very clean and nice- we normally decide to do take out though.
I really judge hard when it comes to great tacos or just good Mexican food in general and I must say this is a new spot for me. Also today they had a young vendor out promoting his business so please support not only black business but support the small people too. His name and business are in the video.
The food was 10/10. Tried the Jalapeño ranch, green and red sauce and all of them had a kick 😋 I got the chicken fajita taco combo and it came with 2 tacos (you can mix and match) rice, beans, and a drink. Everything is reasonably priced and the portions were so good!!!

Top notch service. Very friendly staff. The guy that took my order and the lady that brought it out. The food was great too
Fun Tex-Mex spot which is new for me. I enjoyed the "spicy" shrimp taco which had a lot of 'zing' but not too spicy. it caused no harse fires in my digestive path. It was full of color and flavor from a plethora of ingredients. In contrast, I also had the brisket taco which seemed kind of naked (nothing to cover the meat) as it sat in the basket next to that exotic shrimp taco. so to recap: brisket taco-meaty but no pizazz while the spicy shrimp taco was like a mardi gras parade stuffed in a tortilla. Oh the restaurant has a fun ambience and friendly and patientguy at the counter explaining the menu (because it has so many choices written in small letters on a board ten feet above the floor. 🤓
Food was ok/good. I got the chicken flautas. Jalapeño ranch was amazing. The guacamole was bland. Service and drinks was great. Restaurant was clean. I may return.

I've only been here once and it was pretty good overall. I had 3 single tacos: crispy beef, spicy pork and street taco (fajita beef). The crispy beef was my favorite by far and one of the better crispy beef tacos I've had in a long while. Spicy pork was good and the fajita beef was meh. The 2 self serve salsa options are good. I'm mad at myself for forgetting to ask for the other non self serve options they have available. Clean restaurant and great service. I loved the music theme, the album covers everywhere and the music that was being played. I'll definitely be back for the crispy beef taco and the chili ambience.

I wanted to love this place but it was just ok. I have a hunch that microwaves are used (wouldn't Gordan Ramsey be upset). But the food was out fast, lol. Chicken street taco needed some seasoning, it almost tasted sweet, very strange. Chorizo and egg taco was good. Taco combo was ok, beans tastes better than they looked but rice wasn't very good. Seating was comfortable and atmosphere was cool!
I ordered the Migas Taco on corn tortillas with a side of chopped lettuce and tomatoes. I also ordered a cheese enchilada with chili con carne. The salsa bar offered red salsa, green salsa, and a spicy ranch. The enchilada was too greasy and oddly presented in an aluminum tin. The Migas Taco was good with the paid addition of lettuce and tomatoes. The lady taking the orders behind the counter seemed annoyed and acted like she really didn't want to be there. I asked for water, but she never gave me a cup. I ended up getting it from the counter myself. The prices are very inexpensive, but I probably wouldn't eat here again based on my experience.
The frozen margaritas here seem a bit watered down. 2nd of all the fish tacos were not that good and bit over priced. Had better fish tacos in hole in the wall type places. My husband liked his burrito and thought it was decent. Next time I will just order a soda and burrito. The atmosphere felt welcoming and laid back which was nice.

All I can think to say is that the food is pretty mid. Could’ve been better if the cheese was melted and not cold clumps of mexican blend cheese and if the tortilla was placed on the grill for longer than 30 seconds. Jalapeño Ranch Salsa from their salsa bar was the only redeemable thing here and helps cover up the cold clumpy cheese on the straight out of the bag tortilla. Atmosphere is nice, and service was good.
Really wanted to like this restaurant! We ordered 2 brisket & egg tacos. The brisket was dry and unseasoned, and the eggs were scrambled too hard. Adding the salsa helped a smidge, but there was otherwise no flavor.
I'm thankful I only got one taco to go. It was absolutely disappointing and not worth the almost 5 dollars I paid for it. The "brisket" wasn't like anything I've ever had in Texas, it was more like stewed meat. It was so wet and not very tasty. Do not waste your time here, go to Velvet taco or torchy's Taco, they never disappoint like this place did.

The service was excellent. The food is terrible. I ordered the brisket taco combo. The tacos are overpriced for minimal meat and semi-warm tortillas. The beans were bland and tasted if they came straight from the can. Plus, they had dry spots throughout. The rice tasted as if it were reconstituted from the day before, the queso had semi-decent flavor but was not smooth, the chips tasted burned. This was not Tex-mex - this was a complete waste of money as the landfill got 99% of the order.

I’ve ordered here before and it was all good. Until today…I came with my wife at 8 pm (they close at 9). First thing we noticed is a bin with dirty water on top of the counter. They didn’t even move it when we arrived. Then the guy who took our orders had a very unpleasant attitude, he was noticeably bothered by our presence (maybe because they were cleaning to close and we interrupted their plans?), let me tell you something, rushing your customers to order is not the best way to make them coming back. The burritos were a mess, they did not heat up the tortilla, it was cracking in my hands, same with the rest of the fillings. Want to have a recommendation? DON’T waste your time or money there, I bet there will be many other places were you will be served with better attitude and better food.
No! I ordered the brisket tacos at 9am this morning. And before I even left the restaurant I knew it was going to be bad. I sat and watched the guy in the back throw the meat into a tortilla and then throw it in oven to warm up! It was NOT fresh…probably made the day before or maybe even the day before that. The wet meat made the tortilla soggy and it was all over the inside of the foil. Looked so nasty. It was blah and bland and weird tasting. The beans and rice were clearly made on a different day. This place is not Mexican food…tbh it’s not even tex-mex. The flavors are strange and it’s giving we made this prior and now we just warm it up for you. This is my second time visiting…tried to give it another chance but it was bad both times. I live right by this place and it’s never busy. They need to read their reviews and do better.
