These tacos definitely did not disappoint
Food taste is really great! You really feel like you are at DF! Sadly, they no longer offer quesadillas fritas.
Nice touch that they give you chicharrones with Valentina instead of chips and salsa. I had the Dallas torta and it tasted great. It wasn’t greasy and over mayonnaise’d like other tortas I’ve had
I was looking for something different for lunch and saw this place so on a whim, I decided to try it. I'm so glad I did! Their chicken tinga quesadilla was delicious! The portion size was good for the price, especially considering it was stuffed full of chicken! Garnished with cream, lettuce, and Mozzarella, it was lightly grilled and scrumptious! The employee who helped me was friendly and quick and I was in and out in 10 minutes flat! I'm glad I decided to check this place out, I will definitely be back!!
Love this place, joined the family for lunch and I had an amazing quesadilla de pastor with a refreshing natural agua de Jamaica and I devoured my quesadilla as it was handmade corn. The salsas are spicy so watch out! As for the customer service-- they were warm and welcoming, being so sweet to my parents. Highly recommended for delicious Mexican food.
Insurgentes never ceases to outdo themselves. I've been coming here FOR YEARS and the food is always delicious. They never skimp on the protein and everything is always hot and fresh. Service is stellar and even when they're busy the food comes out FAST. The aguas naturales are SOOOOO GOOD, but I would recommend a Mexican Coke as it completes any meal! If you guys are ever in the neighborhood be sure to hit up this spot, you won't be disappointed 🌮
This place just exudes delicious Mexican food. I was incredibly surprised. The actual location on the outside looks very nice but the inside is nothing special. It's got a pretty weird layout, but who cares when the food is great? We tried two different Tortas: Dallas (steak only) and Mexicana (steak and chorizo). Just holy damn, both were just tasty. Layer of meat (big portion) with some onion, jalapeño, and cheese 🧀. The bread is just perfect. Soft and crunchy at the same time. The red spicy sauce is VERY hot 🔥 but all three available sauces are good. The street tacos are small but definitely also good with the outside tortilla having a nice crunch. Definitely recommend this place!
Nice place on Jefferson, a street known for Mexican restaurants. How it stands out you're served chicharrones instead of chips. The quesadillas are amazing best pairs with a Mexican coke.

My go-to is the paisa alambre with light cheese which consists of beef, nopales & mushrooms. Consistent friendly service & fresh piping hot food. The sauces do have a kick. Yum!

Good food. Waiter was very attending and so very expensive for 3 meals and with drinks I think it was $55 after tip so not bad.

Great food, weird service. 2 weird servers can ruin the experience. Came for my lunch break and definitely didn’t get to relax.
I tried three different things in the only thing I actually like that was good is the chilachiles, I didn't like the price for a tequila with coke was $12 in a very small cup
The tacos are really good. I got the homemade corn tortillas, I wasn't told there's a n extra charge 😒🤔. Lunch tacos are $2.50, a great price until they added the $1.50 without me knowing.
I had Gorditas al pastor and Tacos al pastor, well seasoned, good portion considering the price. My husband had the beef gordita and we don't know why it was exessively greasy (we know gorditas are greasy but this was an exception). Attention was good and fast. I'll recommend the Tamarindo Water for a scorching day.
First time going, I went with my Husband who goes there regularly for lunch while at work. He highly recommended driving all the way out there for Me to try this place as we live 30 minutes away. To start, very good service at entrance, greeted and attended politely immediately walking through door. We were seated, but here is where the only issue I had became a problem: It took 10 minutes for our server to come by, which would not have been an issue, but we noticed the greeter/possibly also manager (as he was on top of cleanliness and overall maintenance of the restaurant) alert the server we had been sat in her section. The table behind us was sat after us, & she ran over to grab their drink order before even greeting us. In my opinion, in many restaurants, female servers are much more attentive to all male tables as opposed to tables of all women, or couples/mixed groups for tipping purposes. When the server did finally come over, she grabbed our drink & food orders, I ordered a coffee with a water and was advised fresh coffee had to be brewed and would be a while. Not an issue, I assumed at least I would be served my water while I waited. I didn't recieve anything to drink until my coffee finally came out which was really not a huge deal, but coffee with spicy food isn't a tasty mix, for that purpose I wanted a water. The food came out within a timely manner of about 15 minutes, and was absolutely delicious! Everything was plated nicely and tasted great. Unfortunately we like our food spicy and made great use of their tasty salsas, but again our server took an eternity to come back once we started eating, so we were dying of thirst. Once She did come back, She did bring a refill for my Husband but again, no water for Myself. Overall, the food is worth trying, I would go back honestly, I just hope I have a different person tending to my table next time (which according to my receipt was a "Yadira A."). The restaurant is nicely maintained as well.

Refused service! Because I had my suitcase & backpack. Just arrived from DFW, ran into Walmart to grab some snacks and then wanted to eat lunch. I was refused service and entry because I had my bags!!! Disgusted. I travel worldwide and this is the first restaurant that I have ever been refused service because I have my bags with me. Management - DO better!!
