Mesón 5 de Mayo is one of those places that always catches your eye, and this breakfast and lunch restaurant has an almost timeless charm: you walk in and feel the pace slow down, as if the space itself invites you to enjoy it without rushing. The place is very, very beautiful: elegant without being pretentious, with details that make it welcoming and memorable. But perhaps what stands out most—besides its cuisine—is the excellent service. Every visit feels special thanks to the person who runs the restaurant, someone deeply creative and extraordinarily attentive to every need of the diners. Their presence is noticeable: in the ambiance, in the service, and in that feeling that you are always warmly welcomed. In short, Mesón 5 de Mayo is not only a place to eat well, but a place you want to return to because everything there—the flavor, the ambiance, and the service—combines to create a genuinely enjoyable experience.

I love it, we're already regulars. The service is always friendly and the food arrives quickly. The prices are good, the portions are very generous, and above all, the food is delicious! My favorites on the menu are the chilaquiles with pressed pork rinds and the enchiladas with panela cheese—they never disappoint. It's one of those places you go back to often because you know you're going to eat well!

It's a corner of the city center worth visiting. Customer service from the moment you enter is excellent. Everything was excellent. The food was delicious, the service was very friendly and welcoming, there's parking, the place is beautiful and very peaceful, and the prices are reasonable. There are areas for improvement. I didn't get to try more dishes, but I will return.

From the moment you walk in, you notice the beautiful decor and the relaxing ambiance. Their customer service is delightful! The owner and the members of the staff are sweet, attentive and generous. Their Café de olla is by far the best I've tried in Mexico so far (I recommend it, and it includes refills!!). And the food... wow... the food... I did not expect it to be so delicious. Everything tastes delicious, but also feels home-made. I sincerely appreciate that they respect covid regulations too. If it wasn't because of covid, I think I'd spend my days working from there. I strongly recommend this place!! Update (November 8th 2022): This place is able to maintain the quality and the outstanding service! A must visit if you're in Aguascalientes!

Great food, good coffee, awesome service and nice atmosphere. Very much worth a drop in! The sopes were delicious and would strongly recommend! It's nice and peaceful despite being on a busy strip in down town but you can relax at Cinco de Mayo!

Very bad service, they took about 1 hr to bring the food, one of us have to leave without food so we asked them If the dish was ready bring to take away if not cancel it, we wait 10 minutes and she left 10 more minutes later they brought the food to take away obviously the person who need it was already gone

A little while ago, I placed an order through Rappi from this food business. They sent me chilaquiles with arrachera. The meat was extremely tough, inedible, the chilaquiles were poorly made, a horrible torta also made with arrachera, and some cold, questionable-quality tacos de prensado. I RECOMMEND THAT YOU DO NOT BUY FROM THIS PLACE; IT'S TOO EXPENSIVE AND THE QUALITY OF THEIR PRODUCTS IS TERRIBLE. I WISH THE HEALTH AUTHORITIES WOULD SHUT DOWN THESE TYPES OF STORES THAT ADVERTISE MORE THAN 4 STARS, BUT DON'T DESERVE ANY. A WORST EXPERIENCE!!!!
