Taco Express in Queens is a fantastic spot for 100% halal Mexican food! We ordered the burrito bowls, and they were absolutely delicious. The taste was so authentic, with fresh ingredients and perfectly balanced flavors. Plus, the portions were generous, and you can tell they take great pride in their food. I would definitely go back for more! If you’re craving halal Mexican cuisine, this place is a must-try.

Taco Express is a great Mexican restaurant with a Chipotle-style setup. A must-try item is their chipotle sauce—it’s amazing. I always ask for extra sauce, and they give generous portions every time. The staff is friendly, and the customer service is consistently excellent. Even during busy times, they have plenty of employees to keep the line moving quickly.

I went there a few hours ago, and it was my first visit at this location. The food was delicious . I order Mexican Burrito Bowl with steak. The meat was delicious. And … the staff was really friendly, they were really welcoming and helpful in choosing best options for the order. The indoor dining arrangement was also clean. I will definitely come back !! Very nice Mexican food. Enjoyed a bowl with chipotle honey chicken which was fantastic. The steak birria tacos were tasty too. We ordered on UberEATS which had lots of buy one get one free deals making our dinner very affordable.

Taco Express is amazing! The staff is incredibly nice and makes you feel like you're in Punjab. The food is 10/10, always fresh, and it feels like a second home. The cozy atmosphere and friendly service make every visit a delightful experience. Highly recommend it!

A halal taco experience in the heart of little India on Hillside Avenue. A very clean and inviting interior with great customer service. Ordered their beef and chicken birria tacos and a side ordered of nachos smothered in salad and ground beef. The tacos were a bit on the small side, but if you are a salad aficionado, this will make up for it. The salad portions are pretty large.

Food was ok I liked the chicken birria (my first time trying), honey chicken bowl was good. Nachos was ok, very little bit in a big bowl. My family had steak birria they said was horrible compared to the ones they had before! Tacos was ok (good serving for price) Sodas were good. They had jarritos different flavors. My main reason for low stars is the cleanliness. I’m not sexist but I guess boys alone here not the best idea counters very messy. Containers untidy. The TOILET IS THE WORSE!! Never clean in weeks looks like!! Duttyyy!! Please focus on some cleaning to maintain this place! I normally barely eat from “pending grade” restaurants ( I was recommended by a friend) but maybe this is why! Please acknowledge!

Good Halal Mexican Chipotle style joint in NY Area. Quick in & out with wide variety of stuffings available and all meat is advertised as 100% Zabiha halal. Service was 5 star, they were entertaining clients in English, Urdu, Hindi & Punjabi. Enjoy Mexican food in Desi style in NY maaza a gaya!!!!

I ordered a burrito bowl and chips from Taco Express through Uber Eats, and the final total reached $44, including tip. I did not order a drink, which makes this price especially unreasonable for such a modest meal. As a student, this level of pricing feels like broad daylight robbery. The excessive fees significantly inflate the cost, and this experience makes it clear how Uber Eats generates its revenue.

My friend and I went to go get tacos and quesedillas from this place. It was her first time there and truly the workers were disappointing. Although their flavors were delicious, I could not force myself to give a 5star based off of flavors. My friend had a hard time deciding what to put on her quesedilla, and instead of helping or recommend anything, the female employee who had the 7pm shift on Dec24th 2025, was super racist towards her. These people thought i couldn't understand the language but basically she was telling her coworker that my friend doesnt know anything about quesedillas and shes dumb, my friend wanted shredded chicken on her quesedilla, and instead of explaining that the chicken will make it soggy, she got feisty with my girl and basically started yelling at her. Mind you, my friend is Latina, so she knows her food and knows what works well and what doesnt, especially a halal establishment that replicates the foods from her culture. That lady employee needs to be fired, if they talk about non desi customers like this i can only imagine how they handle their food. They dont realize theres other people that understand what they are saying and can hear their conversations. The presentation of the food was truly disappointing and messy. The quality over all is not fulfilling. Id support any business that is respectful and instills the same values in the workers that represent that establishment. But this place needs to teach some manners to their employees. The females are rude and the men are creepy and will literally make s*xual remarks about other female customers in their language. PEOPLE UNDERSTAND WHAT THEY ARE SAYING!!!! What good will the flavors do if the service and atmosphere is this disrespectful?

Bunch of scammers. Will never do business here again due to manager by the name of Japin. He assured me my order was cancelled but went ahead and proceeded to change my order status to ready for pickup so that I cannot get my money back from uber. Moreover, he lied to uber support and said my food was ready. However, no food was ready when I got there. Bad service, liars, and scammers.
