Eualio was hands down the BEST waiter we have ever had — and we’ve traveled a lot. From the moment we sat down, his service was lightning fast, unbelievably efficient, and genuinely kind. He anticipated everything we needed before we even had to ask. We came all the way from Canada, and Eualio absolutely made this experience unforgettable. His energy, professionalism, and warmth turned a great meal into an amazing memory. This wasn’t just good service — this was next-level, world-class service. Honestly, we would come back to this restaurant just for him. If you’re lucky enough to be served by Eualio, you’re in the best hands possible. Thank you for such an incredible experience — we can’t wait to return and see you again!
Ambiente, comida y servicio impecables.
Hermosa noche!
Hermoso lugar, excelente atención. Súper recomendable!!!
Wonderful restaurant with wonderful atmosphere. José nos dió un maravilloso servicio. Muy atento y gentil. Will definitely be back.
Excellent food..very authentically Indian. Had the Dal Bukhara and the Butter chicken and the Hubby had the Veg Thali. Every thing was really good.Another day I tried the non veg Thali and the tandoori chicken which amd was not disappointed A warning for people new to Indian food the Dal here had many whole spices that you are supposed to remove aside , not supposed to chew and swallow..we saw a few people suffer and wish I could have said something.
Just a heads up,Thalia Restaurant uses smoke for ambiance. Looks cool and smells very nice, but my asthma acted up. If you’ve got respiratory issues, be careful—or skip it. 🌴✨
We ate here as part of the Á la carte offerings whilst staying at Bahía Príncipe Akumal. This was an incredible evening! The atmosphere in the restaurant is lovely. Very chilled. The food was brilliant for every course. It has to be said that the night was made by our phenomenal waiter, Marcos. He was extremely attentive to our needs, he explained the menu and recommended drinks for the children. I would highly recommend a visit is you are staying.
We came here for dinner at around the time it opened. Easy to locate, being right next to the buffet. Very quick and nice service, with all of the food coming within 10 minutes. Food itself was very nice, with garlic naan having a nice tang with most of the sauces. Only thing is, some of the food and sauces need more spice. Other than that, service and food are superb and nice.
Cannot fault this place at all!! From the second we arrived we were treated exceptionally! From the house special cocktails (the Taj Mahal), to the chef's special entrées, our server Marcos's recommendations and amazing friendly service, everything was fantastic 😊 By the end of our starter we had already decided we wanted to come back, but were unable to book in on the app, so Marcos went above and beyond to get us back in. Would absolutely recommend this place, and already have, to several people on the resort. Top tip - the taster plate on the main course was unbeatable! UPDATE: Went back and everything was just as perfectly excellent as the first time, including Marcos ☺️
If I could have given Thali a 3,5 stars, I would have, and I’m sorry to say this, because Thali used to be one of my favorite restaurant on the resort. The welcome cocktail, is in my opinion, one of the best I have tasted at the restaurants on the resort. The chips they get you as an appetizer and the naan bread were pretty greasy, for my taste. I also found the meat in the Thali tasting platter to be quite tough and overcooked. It wasn’t horrible, but I won’t be one I’ll be looking to go back if ever I stay here again.
It did exceed my expectations. It was my last restaurant there and I didn't have high expectations going in. Special drinks were wonderful. Food was good except for the biryani. It tasted like uncle Ben's Biryani.
We ate here twice on holiday... first time had the Thali meal which included a selection of different curries meaning we picked the one we liked the best. Visited again before the end of our holiday and chose the dish we liked from the Thali. We both had Shrimp curry...my partner asked for extra spicy which he got. Great service and great meal actually. Very attentive. Brought us more poppadoms and more naann when we wanted. Kept my cava topped up. Would go back definitely
If you are looking to try Indian food or already enjoy it, this would be a good choice to try. The food was good, relatively mild compared to traditional Indian food. If you are looking to try different things, get the sampler platters. Food was good to very good. Service was fantastic.
Beautifully decorated restaurant inside Bahia Principe Tulum. This restaurant is a part of all inclusive property inside Bahia resorts. Mostly you do not find Indian restaurants inside all inclusives but we were surprised to find one here. Good food but it was missing that authentic Indian taste. The decor was really pretty and biance was really welcoming. Our server was Urial and he gave us 5 star service and we were very happy with him.
The room was nice. The service was disorganized. We got the tandoori chicken and onion Baji to start. These were presented well. The tandoori chicken was served on a small hot plate with a smoking charcoal inside. The flavour of the chicken was surprisingly bland. The onion baji was ok. One of us ordered the Thali Sampler menu which was a bunch of small plates. This arrived first which meant your food was cold before everyone else got their food. The other mains were the Butter Chicken and the Gobi Aloo. The butter chicken was meh. And the Gobi Aloo had bits of cardamon and cinnamon bark still in it causing you to spit out something every 2 mins. And the naan was not naan. It was more like stale pita. And why they felt the need for pickled onion garnish on top of every dish is beyond me. Service was sporadic. We ordered coffee and asked for sugar. The sugar never came. They forgot. The desserts were not good. Not awful but not good. The Bharfi - Indian traditional sweet infused with cardamom and crunchy nuts was a tasteless rice cake. The Grajjar Ka Halwa - Carrot fudge, served with chocolate crumbles, bitter chocolate mousse, carrot paper and milk reduction was missing the chocolate mousse. I asked the waiter and he said it was in the chocolate crumbles. Unless they dehydrated it and crumbled it as well, there was no sign of it. The only redeeming dish was the poppadoms and tamarind sauce at the beginning of the meal.
Not a bad attempt at Indian cuisine. Service was a little slow, but friendly and attentive enough. Food was on the main good, but a few things were not quite right. The samosas were to dense and dry, and the chicken tandoori was dry. The onion bhaji was good, crispy and tasty and the lamb rogan josh was a good attempt, but lacked the flavour.
No volveremos.
Buena comida..muuuy lento.
Food was tasty but the butter chicken had some bones in it which ruined my appetite. Drinks were very sweet, couldn’t finish it. Service was ok, server was taking care of many tables so took a while to get it is but, it’s ok. - he did his best.
Algo agradable pero no para mi paladar
Normalito
Two of out guests were done eating before the other two received their food. Chef has no idea how to make naan, instead of light and fluffy it was dense and tough. Desert was great but again took forever to arrive. No bathroom in the restaurant. I would give this one a hard pass.
Really awful service. I ordered a mango lassi, which they said they had, and it was not a mango lassi. Then I ordered the chick peas curry with garlic naan, and they failed to give me the garlic naan. Funny that no one else in my group had their order messed up, but the Asian guest. This and they gave my car away to a white couple despite my name being full Asian. This place is super racist and I would not recommend coming. I speak Spanish, so it's not the language barrier.
Food wasn't upto par with authentic Indian cuisine taste (naan wasn't even nann more like bread cut to slice with butter/garlic added and butter chicken didnt taste like what it was suppose to flavored gravy) but for what it's worth it wasn't to bad. Since we are in Mexico after all. Portion size was terrible.. more like whole dinner was an appetizer.
This restaurant receives a one star because the appetizers were fantastic. The entrees were terrible, and not at all representative of South Asian food. The lamb and butter chicken mains had the same gravy, just different meat. They are two completely different dishes and did not taste like the actual dish! We were sorely disappointed. The food was also very salty. The other main on the menu, chicken tandoori, was okay but lacking the strong grilled flavor it is truly known for. The side of rice was Mexican rice and not biryani. On the Akumal property, this is the worst of the à la cartes. I would steer clear until the chef cooks South Asian cuisine!
WARNING ⚠️!!!! PLEASE BE CAREFUL WE are influencer travel around the world with two kids and we went to this restaurant food was great BUT the server & manager by the name of Manuel be aware he treated us like criminals because we asked for 4 appetizers and they stated that the chef would be very upset for ordering 4 appies. We stood our ground and said we are ordering 1 appie per person and he repeated and said chef will be upset too many appies. We never encountered this feeling, we felt like we were doing something wrong. Manager came by as we requested and he started yelling at us saying just odder main entrees and get over it. He ignored our situation and to our left a woman guest got our of her seat and started to attack us infront of the manager as the manager took her side and as I was recording this situation. The manager Emanuel said turn ur camera off or we will kick you off the property and I said I need to record for self defense he said I don't care no picture or video as the guest who was attacking us was taking photos normally. This was the worst experience god forbid any family has to go through this 💔 i don't wish this upon anyone.... please be aware of the manager Emanuel I will be taking this further to higher management I will be posting more to social media reviews and youtube because we were treated like criminals today. Please if anyone has any questions feel free to respond or message
This was a very nice restaurant to sit in but unfortunately not to eat in. I understand that they need to cater for a wide variety of people so I was not expecting anything too spicy but I did expect some flavour. Starter was nice, poppadoms excellent but everything else I ordered I sent back. The thali was bland and they kindly replaced it with their version of butter chicken and garlic naan, as the waiter said it was his favourite. Two bites and it was sent back although I did eat the pathetic garlic naan to hopefully combat the mosquitoes later. The chef came out to see me and after our chat thanked me for being honest. A quick ice cream dessert and I left very disappointed. The booking said 1 place left but when I got there it was half empty.
The only thing I liked was the Mango Lassi. The atmosphere was very hot like eating in a sauna room. Food was very very spicy. Desert was just awful. Service was fair. You need to eat the real Indian food in India to realize how good it can be.
We had reservations for dinner and had high hopes because we love Indian food. The service was terrible. We waited for an hour and a half and still didn’t receive our entrees. No communication from waitstaff or management about long wait times for food. Our dirty appetizer plates sat on the table for 20 minutes. The appetizers were underwhelming. We were given fried chips with dipping sauces at the table and the chips were extremely greasy and the sauces were okay. The samosas were gummy and not crispy at all. The “spicy” potatoes had no spice at all. We ended up walking out before our entrees came. Very disappointed
