Bobo’s Cafe Alameda Reviews
My husband and I have eaten at Bobo’s many times. They are fast for takeout (usually 15-20 min) and the pho is really good. We usually get the vegetarian pho. It has lots of yummy veggies and very filling!
Great service! Did a walk in takeout order and got it within 15 minutes. Was served tea while waiting and the woman working was very friendly.
Oh boy?! Chiefs seafood special on bed of rice.
Thai iced Boba tea ♥️. Friendly service. Tea was excellent! Thank you!

Always the best since 1999!!! This is small town Auburn local food for 20 years. We all need to support the ones that have stayed around to allow you to experience authentic cuisine. This one happens to be Vietnamese. And it's GOOD! Today we stopped in for a to-go order of Shrimp Fresh rolls (#11) Vegan Fresh Rolls w/tofu (#90) and Spicy lemon grass tofu with rice noodles (#77). These were made fresh while I waited in only a few minutes. Mai was there to greet me as she has been over the decades. Her sweet smile and kind personality is a breath of fresh air from so many chain type restaurants. This business is still family owned by the same original owners. The food was wonderful. As I said, made fresh and tasted it. Quality and quantity was perfection! Nice open dining room if you chose to eat in. Try Bobo Cafe on Palm Ave. You will not be disappointed! I promise. And tell Mai hello!
Eating at Bobo's since the 90's, so happy that the Auburn location survived the pandemic. Food is always good, fresh and fast. Hostess remembered that I like #51 and husband liked #73! I love to be treated like an old friend.
one of my favorite places to go to get a cheap bite to eat in auburn. their spring rolls with peanut sauce are excellent. really good brown sugar boba. and their entrees are always a good mix of meat and veggies.
VERY WONDERFUL LADY. Good food and quality service. Highly recommend. Need to get me another Cafe sua da soon. And have to try another dish. Give her a shot as I did not know about it until picking doordash up for a customer.
My husband and I have been coming here for years! It's absolutely the best! Highly recommended 12,15, 28 and 68! Such a sweet family business!
Have to try the spicy curry chicken #49. Your plate comes to you hot and everything taste so fresh.
I had the chicken cabbage salad. So drip and fresh. The chicken was tender amd cilantro so flavorful.
Came in for a drink, went out with dinner! Was wonderful! Nice to know they have some vegan options.

I had wanted to go to Bobo's for a while, and the opportunity came up to do so with my oldest son. The place was nice, my son got a full entree which was delicious, but I got a lunch special which was a little skimpy compared to other restaurants. The server was very nice, but looked like because it didn't have a lot of customers, that she was doing a lot on her own. So in sum, I will definitely go there again, because it overall is good, but I can't give it 5 stars because it just didn't reach that level.
Quality of food and prices were good. A bit dated but very clean with good service. No alcoholic beverages.

Meh… I mean I love Vietnamese anywhere, but this was unimpressive, especially when there’s another awesome one down the street! They should step up their game. Place is outdated and feels a little unclean an unattended. Food was good, but the allover feeling I got was “ Skimpy.” From the meat that they spread out on top to look like more, to the hesitation to bring out sauces.. to the watered down soap in the bathroom that just gave you a feeling you were asking for too much, but if they gave it to you to begin with you wouldn’t have to ask!! I’ll stick to my other place.

We are on a mission to try every restaurant in Auburn at least once. We shouldve skipped this one. Just go up the street- infinitely better. The food here was sparse and flavorless. The fresh spring rolls were only rice noodles, romaine, Bean sprouts and a shrimp cut in half. No mint, no flavor. The entrees were also disappointing. #54 - Majority rice noodles, 2 ounces pork and 2 shrimp, 1 sprig of cilantro, a bit of lettuce. The egg roll was good. The Vietnamese crepe (specialty dish) was crispy but flavorless. How?!! We were given some seasoned rice vinegar, hoisin with some peanuts on top and Sriracha/garlic chili as our options to try to flavor our food. I'm just shocked at what we were served. How is this Vietnamese food? The server was nice, the restaurant itself is dated and just OK. We really wanted to like it, but we won't be back.

The restaurant is old and dusty but the lady working was friendly enough. The problem is the food was beyond disgusting and likely a serious health hazard. The spring rolls reeked of rotting fish like maybe someone had been handling rotting fish and then made them without even washing their hands. Im not a picky eater and have eaten all kinds of weird things around the world but I couldn’t stomach eating any of it after smelling the spring roll and threw out the entire $100+ order
The food was terrible. I ordered shrimp, chicken and calamari pho. When I picked it up it was missing all the protein and tasted like cabbage water. The published price for pho was $5.99 lunch special. I was charged $13. Will never go again
Good food but over priced for the small portions. Very rude service got eye rolls several times. We sat at a booth and were planning on eating in and then our food was brought to us in a to go bag. Very confused how they are even still open.
Looked like a nice place and the lady working there was sweet but the food me and my roommates got was terrible honestly, the chicken gave me food posing so that's cool.
