Chatz Alameda Reviews
Large breakfast burritos at a great price. The salsa is roasted guajillo pepper and well salted just sets it off. Clean tasting espresso with fast friendly service. Since we were visiting we walked these down to the public seating at the ferry building and enjoyed the view. Burritos stayed hot the whole walk over.
No one opens as early as Chatz Coffee Shop and they make hands down the best breakfast bagels in town, they always come out perfectly.
Chatz coffee is a tiny little hole in the wall. Literally. You order through a window, and then you go about your day. You can get some coffee, you can get a breakfast burrito. But you can get anything after lunch, because they're closed by then. Get in early.

A great place to stop and grab coffee (iced or hot), a breakfast sandwich or burrito, a fresh pastry, or a sandwich. This is a to-go situation with no seating so it's perfect for a pick-up on you way to work. Best breakfast sandwich on 2nd Street and pastries are always fresh. I never wait long for my sandwich order! Great service, always a smile from the crew. Highly recommend!!
This little hole in the wall has some of the best coffee I've had dyring my trip to SF, and the breakfasrt burrito was fantastic! I wish I'd tried them sooner, so I could enjoy them more often!
Best coffee I had during my stay in SF! Breakfast bagels were great, juice fresh!! Awesome business, small but perfectly convenient during these times
Test good
Their breakfast burritos with chorizo are incredible! Lemonade is great too, definitely worth checking out.
Bfast burrito is da bomb!! Spicy salsa is spicy.. absolutely way better than any sit down location.
Finally a proper espresso! I wanted a short coffe, unlike most of the SF coffees I’ve drank, and this place provided.
The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, and the sandwich delicious! No space for seating, purely for to-go, but boy would i to-go there again!
It's a walk up window and they have wonderful breakfast bagel sandwiches and coffee. They were super nice and helpful.
Best mocha I have ever tried (I had the German Mocha). Beyond that, their coffee is rich and strong. You can taste it even on their mocha and it wasn't too sweet! Staff was really nice too! Overall, it was really good and I would come back. Their donuts are okay, but definitely go for the coffee!

This is basically a ten foot closet that has a window you walk up to and order what you want. No seating at all so it's a pick up your coffee and muffin or breakfast burrito and take it back to the office scenario. I haven't tried the breakfast burritos yet but I look forward to trying them as they sound great. I did learn today about a mexican mocha. Apparently it's a mocha made with Abuelita chocolate which has a bit of a cinnamon spice flavor to it. It was quite tasty.
Nice to have this as an option, but the breakfast sandwiches are just okay. Burritos are small for the price, even for SF, and they're heavy on egg, light on meat.

Paid $10 for the worst avocado toast of my life. The bread was very basic, one you get from a $2 sliced bread full loaf. The avocado was cold and not fresh at all, it had no salt or lemon or even black pepper. The sprouts in the toast also seems stale and cold. Overall the avo toast was the worst experience, specially when its so hard to screw up an avo toast. They also don't write the prices and its so hard to know what you're paying for.
The coffee is bad, over-roasted and burned. Too bitter, without any flavors, just 100% bitterness. And I took cortado, espresso will be even worse.

Insanely overpriced. $16 for a tiny sandwich with 2 pieces of chicken

Prices aren’t shown so hard to work out what you’re paying. Latte not frothy at all very overpriced. Burrito small and lacking meat but mostly lacks taste.
Went there today for a breakfast burrito . The site isn’t updated , so instead of being $6 , it came up to $8.95 . Waste of money. It was bland . No type of spice or flavors . I ordered the bacon breakfast burrito . Literally NO bacon . ALL potato with straps of bacon . & the salsa “ hot sauce “ , has no flavor what so ever. Go to Caramba . The burritos are $5.95 , good size & good flavor .
